Nivo Slider Only Works in Chrome

Hi - hope someone can help. I have set this up for a client in Dreamweaver - it's the Nivo slider.

It seems to do the fancy transition in Chrome but it does not do the transition in IE. It just changes from one slide to another with no fancy transition.
Does anyone know what this might be and have a fix?

I recorded my two browsers with Camtasia. From start to :14 that's the IE browser I'm seeing. The change between slides happens abruptly - no fancy change.
Then from :15 to end is Chrome; you'll see that cool transition between slides like it's supposed to (Nivo calls it the "rain" effect).
Any ideas?

ZCC Integration only working in Chrome

I just went through the ZMM/ZCC integration process and when I went to the ZCC Mobile Magement menu I keep getting a blank screen, while using Firefox. I decided to try my other browsers, IE11 and Chrome. IE does the same thing but Chrome threw a notification message saying that there was a script from an "unauthenticated source". When I let that script load ZMM appears.
Why does this only seem to work in Chrome but not IE or Firefox?

Noticed the same, didn't care to troubleshoot because I don't see the huge benefit with the "IFRAME" solution... Waiting for the fully integrated solution.

Powerpoint Master Slide only works on first 600 slides

I have a presentation with 3600 slides in PowerPoint 2010 and I'm trying to use a master slide to change the font color and background color of all slides. I've created a master slide and have changed the background color and all the slides did change.
However when I change the font color only the first 600 slide changed there font color. I changed the font on all the different levels of slides in the slide master.

In PowerPoint, the Slide Master is the template for your presentation. If you make a change to the Slide Master, it will change for your entire presentation. However, if you have already applied formatting to one of your individual slides, it
will not follow the guidelines of the Slide Master. He had changed the layout and formatting on some of his individual slides, and then made changes to the Slide Master, thinking that the changes would be applied to the slides that he had edited
individually.
To reapply the Slide Master formatting to several slides at once, you can select multiple slides and following the same steps from Home > Slides > Reset.

hi, is there an easy fix for this problem? the phone seems to show the correct display when in the "normal" postition or when slid open to reveal the media keys but as soon as you open the slider to reveal the numerical keypad the screen kinda freezes and occasionally shows vertical lines. occasionally when switched on there is a white screen with vertical lines. *#7370# and *#7780# didn't help. it says s'ware is 11.018 and will not upgrade, is there a newer version? please, no replies saying you have the same trouble or telling me to take it to a nokia service center as that is what i'll do if there's no easy fix!! all i want to know is is it a "slider ribbon" etc. thanks

It could probably be the ribbon as you mentioned, probably for the screen. A hardware issue needs repairing as you already know. Good luck at the care point.

So i figured out why my sites wont work in chrome&opera!

so i have big problems getting sites to load in certain browsers.
ive been at it for 2weeks now.but now ive figured out why,i took out all the sound efx mp3 files.
now my site loads perfect in everysite

because it still has sound files ill take out later.
my roycegdesign site,when it had sound it would only work in firefox and safari.
they both screwed up in opera like crazy with sound.
you can still see the example of what opera does to my trebaltek site with sound files in it.
but i desided to take the sound out of my roycegdesign site and vwaaalaaaa ,it finally works in all browser's ive tested.
im on a mac,so im unable to test it on IE,unless some one dosnt mind letting me know if it works on IE.
but ya for now on,all sites i make with edge with not include sound files until browsers are able to load them much better in the future.

Here are what IE returns loading trebaltek website.
So, IE cannot set the volume property (null or undefined).
So, it seems you have to check your audio code.

I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

Links should not create any problems in Keynote. If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
Try this repair for Keynote, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

empty the trash: Finder > Empty Trash

Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions

when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

install Keynote from the Mac App Store

Notification Plug-in only working in IE (not Firefox or Chrome)

Just in case anyone else encountered this ...
I downloaded and installed the Dynamic Action Plug-in, Notification,
from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-plug-ins-182042.html.
I imported into Shared Objects plug-ins for an application, created a dynamic action using this plug-in,
and it works great. In IE only (IE 8). When I run the application from Chrome or Firefox (3.6.13),
the notification does not display.
When I run the demo notification application in firefox or chrome, the notification works - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=654321:401:0
I can not find any information specifically on browsers.
I use APEX 4.0.1.00.03 in Oracle 11.1.0.7 and develop on Windows 2003 server.
I do use javascript (calling htmldb_Get) to get a value from the database to display in the Notification,
so I suspect the problem may be there.
Any ideas why only IE works would be appreciated. Is there any place in APEX I needed to specify browsers?

I stripped out all the local database access and hardecode a value for this problem. When you click the button "Check Employee's Classification", it calls a javascript function in the HTML Header called checkClass. That changes the item displayed in the notification and fires the dynamic action, Employee Class. Works great in IE, but that's it. I suspect it's the javascript that firefox or Chrome doesn't recognize.

Video adapter only works for slide shows.

We received the Apple video adapter today. It appears that it only works for slide shows? It might also work for Keynote, but we don't use that much and haven't installed on the iPad. For our purposes, we'd like to be able to display from other programs- Numbers, Pages, and a PDF reader. This seems counterintuitive to business use if the adaptor isn't fully functional. We are hoping that a software upgrade will make the adaptor functional.

The iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter can play content to a VGA display when using the following apps:
Videos
Photos—Slideshow playback only
YouTube
Keynote
Safari—Video content on webpages

Password Manager only works on some websites - Chrome

I've recently started trying to use Password Manager again, but it only works with some websites, and none of the important ones for me (where security is most important, such as banking). On these websites I see no functionality at all: no pop-ups, no storing, no autoloading.
Password Manager ver. 4.70 build 2.
Chrome Extension ver. 4.60.3
Any ideas?

Nobody else has this problem? Pw Manager works fine with this site and many others, but is useless with major banks and other more security-sensitive sites.

Nivo slider on iWeb - can get it to work, but not on one Mac.

I am a complete luddite when it comes to computers, but I have managed to set up a couple of pretty decent websites using iweb.
I am looking for a bit of advice as to where I am going wrong setting up the Nivo slider on one of our computers though.
Having followed the instructions carefully, I have successfully set up the slider on one of the sites on my Mac, and my husband has set up a slider on a macbook pro without any problems. Neither of us can get it set up and added to two websites on our other main Mac though. (We have tried numerous times, and have checked, double checked and tripple checked the code and addresses, and have used cyber duck to check the info is all correct on the server)
Nothing happens though. The page in question is just a blank screen with nothing other than the headings etc there.
We wondered if Javascript had been disabled on the Mac, and I think I've worked out how to check that in Safari - and the checkbox says it's enabled.
I'm at a bit of a loss now what to do next to solve the problem.
Does anybody have any ideas what I might try? I would be enormously grateful for any advice - I've been going slowly blind trying to read and understand code in order to get some idea of what might be going wrong (not an easy task for a luddite!)

Photos have been uploaded, and links done also. I originally followed the instructions from the site www.allaboutiweb.com on how to upload the nivo slider (google search nivo slider and iweb and it's pretty much first on the list!) really easy instructions to follow - so initially used website six photos, then amended to my own. Done successfully on one computer, but although I've followed the exact same process (with meticulous attention) it just won't work on our other website (on another computer).
I've since had a thought it might have to do with not having downloaded jquery 1.7+ ?!.
Really floundering a little here, because I really don't know my way around computers.
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Torch 9800 touch screen only works when slid open.

Hello everyone, this is my 1st post but I've been lurking the forum for some time. I'm running a Torch 9800 on AT&T right now on v6.0.0.600
This is what's happened with my phone: as the subject notes, my touch screen only seems to work when I slide open the phone.
What I've tried so far that doesn't work: rolling back software, rolling the software forward again, hard resets, soft resets, adjusting intervals for the touch screen.
The weird part is that I saw an older thread that had the exact opposite problem(touch screen only worked when the phone was slid closed). I have a level/ruler app for my phone and it's showing that the phone knows when it's tilted/angle/orientation. I've also closed the phone, opened it slightly (about the width of my thumb) and it stays horizontally oriented + I'm able to use the touch keyboard that way.
Anybody have a suggestion as to what I can try next to fix this? I haven't gone so far as to just go and get a 9810 yet, but i'm considering it.

Has it in anyway fallen or pressed hard at any point? It could be the belt, which would just need you to go with it to a certified repair center and get it secured.

Help! My iMessage doesn't work on my new iPhone 5s, I've changed my sim twice, but iMessage only works with my Apple ID.

Recently got a new iPhone 5s and the iMessage doesn't work. I tried the sim in another phone and it didn't work either so I put a completely new sim in my iPhone and iMessage doesn't work. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Hide "more" button in a list view, only works for first item in the list

I have the following code in a list view that outputs several dozen items in a web app. The code only works for the first item, how can I make it loop through and execute the test for each item in the list view? The {tag_hide more button} is a checkmark field that yields a numeric 1" if checked otherwise yields a numeric "0".

What's the URL for the site where you are using this? Offhand, it looks like it should work with your first example so you are either placing the script before those elements are loaded or you might try wrapping your current javascript inside the:
$(document).ready(function() {

This make sure the code runs once all the html is loaded on the page. Without seeing a URL and debugging with the js console in Chrome I can't give you a solid answer.
But, I do know that you can probably do this with a lot less markup. Once we figure out what the actual problem is I have a better solution mocked up for you on jsfiddle.
When looking at my HTML code on jsfiddle, please realize I setup some dummy HTML and removed your tags and added actual values which would be output by your tags. The main thing I did was remove the whole div.more-selection and instead, added a "data-is-selected" attribute on your div.more-option element. Then, in my javascript for each div.my-option element on the page, we loop through them, find the value of that data attribute and hide that div if it's less than 1 (or 0).

You'll see in the end result that only two divs show up, both of those divs have data-is-selected="1".
You can try pasting the javascript code near the closing </body> tag on your page and make sure to wrap my js inside a <script> tag, obviously. My way is neater on the markup side. If you can't get it to work it's likely a jquery conflict issue. My version is using the $(document).ready() method to make sure all the code is loaded before it runs.

Slider not working around 50% of the time.

Hello,
Slider not working around 50% of the time when I get a call. I hit the sleep button and home button several times and then it works.
I've done the soft reset several times. I've restored settings completely 2 times.
the screen is clean, my hands are clean, the wifi is off, the phone has not been dropped, it only happens when receiving a call and never happens when I'm just turing it on to access the menu. Bluetooth is off as well.
Any ideas?

this happened to me a week or so after buying my iPhone. Fixed it with a reboot... Simul holding home and on/off until apple appears on the screen . Been working for axweek ok now.

Safari is not working and siri only works with the phone not internet related questions.

I have an Iphone 5 and for about 8 months it worked find, then somewhere along the line I think about the time I upgraded to the latest OS, Safari stopped working. That is when I hit a link from email or open safari I get the browser window but nothing works, like its been blocked. Siri of course only works with internal serches, through contacts and such. My other browsers (crome, oprea and mercury) work fine. I have been through all the internal settigns I can find, but nothing has worked. Have cleared history cookes with no suceess. Any ideas?

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with Safari after upgrading to iOS 7.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the apps that are open, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
