Error when email enabling a document library
Hi - I've checked through other threads re errors when email enabling a doc library, but our scenario is a bit different. We have some custom code that creates sites based on a site template and uses data from a 3rd party system to define the site
name, permissions etc. I don't think that the process for creating the sites is relevant to the issue, but mentioning that anyway to be complete. As part of the site creation workflow, one of the document libraries is email enabled. However, on one specific
site, the document library was not email enabled. When I try and do this manually, I get the following error:
Error in the application. at

String newAlias)

Other tests/observations:
On the problem site, I get the same error when trying to email enable other document libraries
Other sites on the same site collection have been created using the same process/site template, and the appropriate document library was email enabled automatically (sites created both before and subsequent to this problem site)
I have successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on an different existing site
I have manually created a new site using the same site template and successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on that site
So I am fairly certain that it is nothing to do with permissions as other posts relating to this issue have suggested. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening, how to resolve or further checks I can make? Many thanksHi qaaweb,
based on my experience, the issue itself may be caused by some triggers,
the permission is one of them only,
to narrow down usually, we try to update credential first, that at some environment may less impact.
example:
based on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947.aspx, to configure email, if already configured then skip.
make sure that application pool account that is used for central admin to be the same for central admin, site and the web application.
make sure SQL server and granted DBCreator , Serveradmin, Setupadmin on service account.
remove old database and sync:
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0
Update farm credentials, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934838
if needed: central administration > Operation > Authentication provider and changed Kerberos to NTLM on central admin site.
Login service account on the SharePoint server and enable IncomingEmail settings on the web application
please let us know if the workaround is not applicable

Aries

hi there philnj,
could you help the community narrow troubleshooting by providing a little more information? Particularly what model printer are we dealing with?

If the error persists, check the following (assuming "Employees" as group name)
- In WEB-INF there should be a file named Employees-beans.xml.
- In this file, there should be a bean definition named searchEmployees
- In web.xml, the javax.faces.CONFIG_FILES context param should include an entry /WEB-INF/Employees-beans.xml

Unexpected error when re-enabling an AD account
Hi,
I am receiving an "unexpected-error" when exporting a previously disabled account to AD as a re-enabled account.
Here's the scenario:
User is returned to the delta view, which should move them back to the Active Accounts OU (from the Inactive Accounts OU).
The export does move the user to the Acitve Accounts OU, however, the user is disabled, and the export reports "unexpected-error".
A subsequent sync will change the user to enabled without any errors.
The event viewer reports this error, that baffles me a bit:
"BAIL: MMS(1848): tower.cpp(3855): 0x80004005 (Unspecified error)
BAIL: MMS(1848): csobj.cpp(2112): 0x80004005 (Unspecified error)
BAIL: MMS(1848): expcall.cpp(864): 0x80004005 (Unspecified error)
ERR: MMS(1848): expbase.cpp(2902): PutAnchorWithDnInternal failed on CS object {CB0DE8C8-15F4-48CC-8A67-3214E4D3DE85} with 0x80004005 (pass 1 of 5)
Forefront Identity Manager 4.0.3576.2"
All my searches say a hotfix addressed this in ILM, but I'm unsure if that would be an appropriate approach for FIM.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you for any help.
SamiThanks Ed,
Phew, sorry to hear your case was not solved …
On the other hand, this is yet another indication and confirmation of where the issue seems to be. I was told pretty much the same by Microsoft Support. I can actually confirm, based on my tests,
that the change must have occurred between FIM and FIM R2. Code extensions originally written for MIIS worked just fine in FIM but break in FIM R2.
How come Microsoft did not anticipate that their change will break existing logic? I would have expected some kind of advanced notification/warning in the FIM R2 documents …
My problem is that we need to move on.
In absence of any solution from Microsoft after so many months, I’m reviewing our business logic to code around this new restriction; essentially I’m trying to remove the blocks of code
that would lead to such a scenario.
I’ll post an update if I hear of any resolution from Microsoft.

Intermittent errors when logging to the Workspace - 9.3.1 - SSL Enabled
Hi,
We are on 9.3.1 and everything is SSL enabled except Shared Services.
Several times a day, when users log on to the Workspace, they get an "Invalid username or password" error message. They finally get in after 2 or 3 attempts.
Likewise, occasionally, when opening a Financial Report in the workspace users get "BR - Access is denied". After logging back in a couple of times the problem goes away.
All users are affected but randomly.
I have a feeling it could be related to the SSL congifuration.
Has anyone come across this? we are using an F5 http server.
An Oracle consultant suggested making sure that sticky sessions are enabled but we are not sure how to do that.
BI+ has been configured with Tomcat and IIS.
Thanks for your help.It depends how you use Weblogic. If it runs as a windows service then I think you should be able to increase the heap size in the Windows registry. Try looking under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Hyperion Solutions -> Hyperion Reports ->HRWebSRV and look for an Xms (Minimum heap size) and Xmx (Max heap size values)
If you start your services via the weblogic console then you will need to log on to the Admin console under the Java section.
The heap size values depend on each environment but as long as you have at least 4GB RAM on your server you should be able to set
-Xms512m
-Xmx1024m
Additionally check your SSL config as this was causing us a lot of problems too.
Hope this helps.
Seb

Strange error when enabling SSL on Oracle HTTP Server
Hi,
In our production environment Oracle HTTP Server starts fine when SSL is disabled.
We've enabled SSL in our dev/uat environments using instructions from the Oracle Documentation. It was pretty straightforward.
When i tried to do the same in our production environment, the Oracle HTTP Server wouldnt restart. I've had a look around the forums and havent seen anyone report the same error we are seeing in the logfile.

No Apache logs are being written to when we try starting the Oracle HTTP Server with ssl enabled.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any idea how we can get this working?
Thanks,
StephenNoticed that when it starts with apachectl startssl, it doesnt like any <VirtualHost directive
The line in the dms.conf file that it errors out at is :
<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:7201>
When i added a redirect the httpd.conf file, it errors out at the <VirtualHost line also
Any idea why the Oracle HTTP Server wouldnt like <VirtualHost directives when running startssl? -
Hi I desperately need help to fix this error. thanksWe tried adding certificate in trustore.jks file, but it was not successful.
What error you are getting while importing the certificate?
Just perform below steps once:
Download required certificate first
Run CMD as administrator> move to SUP_HOME\Servers\UnwiredServer\Repository\Security
Paste this syntex.
keytool -importcert -alias customerCA -file <certificatefilename>.crt -storepass changeit -keystore truststore.jks -trustcacerts -
SSL Error When Connecting to /sso/auth
I am attempting to configure SSO for HTTPS. This is for a Forms application.
I have followed the steps in the Single Sign-On 10.1.2 Admin's Guide Chapter 7 for enabling SSL, as well as the steps for enabling Forms with SSL.
Forms works correctly in SSL without SSO enabled.
I am using Oracle wallets created with OCA. These wallets work correctly, without any errors or warnings.
I am able to login in to the SSO Server with SSL enabled.
When I enable SSL and SSO and attempt to connect to my Forms app, I am correctly redirected to the Single Sign-On page via HTTPS.
However, when I enter a valid username and password, I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error. The URL is https://server.domain/sso/auth
I reviewed the HTTP error log for the SSL virtual host on the infrastructure and found the following error:

Any help most appreciated.
TIA,
JimI had the same problem. In my case, Forms with SSO over SSL worked from the intranet, but not from the internet over the firewall. In the FW log, I found requests from my browser to the iAS at port 7778, on which runs the middle tier iAS, but that is blocked by the FW (we use WebCache at port 80 as a proxy).
Last time the ssoreg from the middle tier ran with -mod_osso_url http://<server_name>:7778, as indicated by the ssoreg.log. I reregistered the middle tier by means of ssoreg with -mod_osso_url http://<server_name>:80, restartet the http server from the middle tier, it corrected the error. -

Facing issue when LDAPSync is enabled for OIM-AD integration with SSL enabled
Hi
We are performing LDAPSync for OIM AD real time sync.We have done all configuration as per oracle documentation on LDAPSync for OIM 11gR2 : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/integration.1112/e27123/oid_oim.htm The OIM environment we tested is the latest OIM version OIM 11gR2 PS1 (11.1.2.1.0).
WE have performed LDAPSync enablement on postinstallation of OIM .So we dont have OVD , we have configured libOVD as mentioned in this doc.
We have performed following steps mentioned in this document in our OIM environment.
3.1 Enabling Post installation LDAP Synchronization
3.3 Creating Identity Virtualization Library (libOVD) Adapters and Integrating With Oracle Identity Manager
As attribute like password might be not getting updated in AD from OIM , we have configured SSL enabled integration in LDAP sync as mentioned in above document.
We implemented this step 3.4.1 Enabling SSL Between Identity Virtualization Library (libOVD) and Microsoft Active Directory,
but here it is not properly mentioned that about how to import public key certificate of AD into OIM envirioment for SSL.
We are getting following error message in logs : Looking at logs it looks like the import of AD SSL certificate did not happen properly in OIM environment. But ,we have imported it using keytool and OVD keystore ...please let us know if we are missing any configuration in this process.Above oracle document is not pretty clear on this.

RPB25Use the steps given below to perform import public key certificate of AD into OIM envirioment for SSL
Obtain the AD Certificates from the AD Administrator.
Copy the AD Certificates to the directory /jrockit-jdk1.6.0_20/jre/lib/security
Run the following command to import all the certificates
/jrockit-jdk1.6.0_20/bin/keytool -import -alias <provide_alias> -file <file-name> -keystorecacerts -storepasschangeit
4. The CA certificates are now present in the trust store. -
SSL handshake error when calling Web Service
Hi Grant,
I am using your example here:
http://groundside.com/blog/GrantRonald.php?title=calling_a_web_service_from_oracle_forms__2&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
to call a web service from forms 10g on a machine with no proxies set up.
I get to the point where I click the button that calls this code:
DECLARE
jo ora_java.jobject;
xo ora_java.jobject;
rv varchar2(100);
--rv number;
ex ora_java.jobject;
BEGIN
jo := SendServiceSoapClient.new;
rv := SendServiceSoapClient.sendMessage(jo,'07000000000', 'Test text message from Forms', xo, xo);
-- rv := SendServiceSoapClient.sendMessage(jo,:block6.number_to_text, :block6.text_msg, xo, xo);
EXCEPTION
WHEN ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR then
message('Unable to call out to Java, ' ||ORA_JAVA.LAST_ERROR);
WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then
ex := ORA_JAVA.LAST_EXCEPTION;
-- message(Exception_.toString(ex));
-- message(Exception_.toString(ex));
:block6.item11 := Exception_.toString(ex);
END;
I then get the message:
java.rmi.RemoteException: ; nested exception is:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: SSL handshake failed: X509CertChainIncompleteErr
My Jinitiator box says:

Loading http://xpjdev11g.uk.conde-nast.biz:8889/forms/java/wsarchive3.jar from JAR cache
proxyHost=null
proxyPort=0
connectMode=HTTP, native.
Forms Applet version is : 10.1.2.0
Please note additional steps:
I have tried to sign my JAR file (called wsarchive3.jar) - not sure if I have it done it correctly??
I have added the JAR file in the system CLASSPATH
I have added the JAR file to formsweb.cfg
If you could help with the SSL error, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.Let me check - have you got the "HOW TO" I created working when you use the following WSDL
http://www.esendex.com/secure/messenger/soap/SendService.asmx?wsdl
Does this work ok from Forms?
The reason I ask is there is an HTTP web service (which is what the how to documents) but there is also and HTTPS versions - if you are getting errors about SSL it might be you are using the HTTPS version
I just want to make sure I understand what you have and have not working so far.

AWM error when enabling for discoverer.
Hi,
I am experiencing some difficulties enabling my analytic workspace for discoverer. I have a created a workspace based on a cube with 1 fact and 2 dimensions. I used Oracle Enterprise Manager 9.2.0.1.0 to create my meta data and AWM 9.2.0.4.1D to create the workspace. When I enable for discoverer plus in AWM it takes me through the wizard and at the end when I click on finish, I get an absolutely non descriptive error...it is: "dataprovider error initializing the AW". I go to the awmrun.log file to see what happened, and it is also confusing. There is a SQLException underneath, but it doesn't say what the overflow was on:

it is only user accounts that have been enabled for exchange that are causing problems via Enable-Mailbox.
