No Access Error with Locked User iView

Hi
We are running EP6SP2 Patch 35
I’m trying to give access to the Locked User iView to a group of users (I don’t want them to have full User Management functionality)
I’ve created a role and added Locked User iView to it.  The role has the same property values as the standard User Admin role (eg UME Action ID: UME.Manage_All = Yes), but when I try to access the Locked User iView I get:
No Access
You have no permission to perform this action.
Can anybody advise what else I need to do to get this to work?

just to make sure: did you restart the server after assigning the UME Action to the role???
Unfortunately, this has to be done in order for your changes to take effect.

  • Can not assign custom access level with a user login

    Hi,
    I am using Business objects XiR3. When I am loging in with a user having full control access and then I select a folder added a principal from user sercurity and when I am trying to add custom access level it gave me error
    An error occurred at the server during security batch commit: Request 0 of type 38 failed with server error : You do not have sufficient rights to make the requested security changes.
    it allow me to give access to standard access levels. also when I tried to assign custom access level with administrator user, it assigns custom access level to a principal without error.
    Can any body tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Hi Rajendra,
    You have to make sure that the user group has the right 'Use access level for security assignment' assigned as granted on the access level you created. You can find this right under System / Access Level. That should do the trick!

    Can you give more details?   What exactly is the entire error message text?  there should be an error number too.   Are you trying to finalize this to an external disk?

  • "an XML element was malformed" error with anonymous user

    There is no problem with another user but with anonymous user  it gives "an XML element was malformed" error  when I want to select data from Oracle database using BI_JDBC in VC. I have done the user mapping for the anonymous user like  other users. I also give "read" and "end user" permissions for  anonymous user in the BI_JDBC connection. For other users, it works. What should I do to use BI_JDBC in VC with anonymous user.

  • Printing Error with second user.

    Thanks in advance everyone.
    Here is my issue, I have an iBook G4 running 10.3.9 connected to a network printer with two user accounts, The first user account works fine and can print, however the second account cannot. It gives me the "Error Printing" message which is really helpful.
    I have tried re-adding the printer, and deleting com.apple.pint... preferences files, and repairing the permissions.
    Any insight would be wonderful.

    In the second account ~/Library/Printers select the printer and Command + i. to open Get Info and check the *Ownership and permissions* down the bottom, to see if the second user can read and write to that printer.

  • Computer crashed with locked users 10.3.9

    I was hoping someone could help me. My desktop system crashed on saturday. With my laptop I was able to get my desktop in transfer mode but one of the users is locked. I have the passwords for the user but I can not figure out a way to unlock them. With these few folders under the user locked I can not back up their information.
    Since I can not get my desktop to boot is there a way that I can unlock the user folders so I can complete the backup or is the informtaion just lost forever? Like I said I do have the passwords but I can not get a promt to let me try and unlock them. Unlocking may not be an option but I would like to know.

    You could try enabling your root user on the laptop, then trying to copy from the root user's account.
    To enable the root user, launch NetInfo Manager, then go to the Security menu, authenticate with your admin password, then select "Enable root user".
    Once you've assigned a password, log in as the root user (you'll have to change your login option in Accounts preferences to use "Name and password, then use root as the user and then the password) and try to copy the locked user.
    Note: if this doesn't work, don't leave your root user account enabled; use the NetInfo Manager utility to disable the account again.

    in our lab-environment we installed LMS 4.1 from scratch.
    Trying to connect to eg. ani-db via URL (https://<server>/dbreader/dbreader.html) with user cwsiSA I got error message
    stating "Authorization error".
    Is that default behavior?
    We need SQL-Connect to DB-Tables, as some "self-written" perl-scripts try to collect data.
    Are there any steps necessary to enable access to DB-Tables (and Views) ?

    Probably the user role is missing this authorization.  Go to Admin > System > User Management > Role Management Setup, and make sure the role assigned to this user includes DBreader access.  You are looking for Lan Management Solution > Admin > System > DBReader Access.

    Well, from my experience... it locks things down.. umm somehow. You can set it to make the files inside readable or give the folder no access to anyone - yourself even - if you set it to system ownership (Oooops!). I don't exactly know what I did, but right when I first installed Panther and was experimenting with what it could and could not do I was fooling around with the GetInfo permissions (for the most part, I leave it alone now) and accidentally ended up with a folder that I couldn't get rid of on the desktop. @$#&%!! System owned it, wouldn't let me touch it. I finally had to reboot into OS 9 (not Classic) and delete it that way. None of those silly permissions issues with that!

  • I want to take old emails from one user account to another. Can't access 'net with old user account.

    My computer was infected some time back, and the only way I could use most programs was to set up a new user account. Now I want to retrieve some old emails and move them to my new account, but can't seem to make it happen. F/fox opens under old a/c, but can't access 'net so I can't forward them. I tried putting them into a folder, putting it on a USB drive and dragging that into 'fox in my new a/c, but it won't open. I am using Win XP.

    He will run into a problem when he wants to use his own account.  Some apps will have been purchased on one Apple ID and other apps will have been purchased on a different Apple ID.  That's a nuisance situation when the apps need updating and, unfortunately, there is no resolution at the present time (IDs can not be combined).

    you could create an ISE local user with a GUEST membership and provided you have your ISE password policy set so that it doesn't expire accounts, etc it would be a "permanent" guest account. we do something similiar. sponsors make temporary accounts while long-term or test guest accounts are created in the ise local identity store as guests and are processed the same way. you just have to ensure that the internal user store is part of your guest identity source sequence.

    I get it at SAP Solution Manager Configuration: System Preparation step 6.1 'Select SLD'.
    I filled host, port and password, status of SLD server is green, then I clicked button 'Configure SLD Data Supplier...' I have get new window, to fill in passwords and options.

    I have performed tx.Solman_setup as SOLMAN_ADMIN user.
    All steps before the an error are finished sucessfully.
    I  looking for information at Google and SAP notes but can not find anything.

  • Gather Schema Stats concurrent program error with lock

    We are running Gather Schema Statistics from Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 against a 10..2 database. When run against individual schema it completes with no error, but when run against ALL schemas it completes with the following error.
    “ERROR: While GATHER_TABLE_STATS: object_name=XDP.XDP_ORDER_PROCESSOR_QTAB***ORA-20005: object statistics are locked (stattype = ALL)***”
    I understand why the tables are locked and I know how to unlock the table (exec dbms_stats.unlock_schema_stats('schema_owner'); exec dbms_stats.unlock_table_stats('table_owner','table_name');
    My query is this: Metalink Note [ID 433240.1] advises If the table is a queue table then the statistics should remain empty and locked so that dynamic sampling is used due to the volatility of queue tables.
    If I follow the advise in the note above, and leave the tables as locked then gather Schema Statistics will continue to complete with an Error (its annoying).
    I found metalink note (375351.1) which seems to say that all tables can be unlocked including queue tables.
    Has anyone encountered this problem, do you recommended that I unlock this tables even though they are queue tables.

    Please follow doc ORA-20005 WHEN GATHERING STATISTICS FOR APPS 11i / R12 IN 10G or 11G [ID 375351.1],i belive you can run command wihtout issue. If its prod than you can also rise SR and confirm wiht oracle support

  • IDoc- userclone05 error with reference user

    An idoc is in error. message type - userclone , basic type is userclone05.
    error - ref user rcf_cand_int does not exist.
    the central user is serve ZE2 clnt 050 from where user roles are replicated or users are created in other sstems.
    idoc is in server ZS1.
    Now can anybody tell me how to check whether this idoc wa creating a user or doing something else.

    The Userclone Idoc message type creates users with different roles in receiving systems.
    The User data is centrally maintained in teh Sender system from which it is distributed across to various systems.
    Transaction SU01 is used to check the Users .
    Probably accoring to the error mentioned Users are not created in teh receiving system.Check with Tcode SU01(sender and receiver) and try resending teh Users once again .
