No automount and no wpa wireless after migrating to openbox

I've just tried openbox after I removed kde.(everything was fine there)
now both pcmanfm and thunar are not able to see the removable devices and the devices are not even mounted in the /media. so I think maybe the problem is with systemd-logind
I also cannot use wpa/wpa2 encryptions for accessing wireless, using nm-applet
the networkmanager, wpa_supplicant services are all enabled and active however the udisks service is not.
I saw in the wiki the output of the command " loginctl show-session $XDG_SESSION_ID " must have "Active=yes" in it but I haven't such an output.
I'm completely confused by all these Consolekit/logind things and I don't know what exactly should I ask here and what information is relevant so if you think that I have to add something to the question please let me know.

hi, openbox doesn't manage automounts that is a feature for a lightweight desktop, not a bug. However you can use udiskie (pacman -S udiskie) to manage automount, just install it and put udiskie & at the end of your $HOME/.config/openbox/autostart
Consolekit is not needed any more

If the calendar is on iCoud.com, all you would need to do to get it on your phone is go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, sign into your iCoud account and turn Calendars on. The iCloud calendars will then download to your phone.

Member and base level sorting after migration

Dear BPC Experts,
We are in process of migrating our environment from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.
When we migrate reports/input schedules from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10, we have observed that the report does not show up the member and base level sorting correctly in the report.

ITunes, iPhoto and system clock crash after migrating from Snow Leopard

Hello everyone,
I had MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard but had to migrate to older one with 10.5.8 today.
After 4 hours it finished and everything seems fine except 3 things:
1. iTunes crashes on each launch attempt. I even followed an article to uninstall it, got a new one from apple.com but I still have the same issue.
2. iPhoto opens with success and shows folders overview, but when I click to enlarge a photo I get a blank screen. After about 2 minutes the program quits unexpectedly.
3. System clock behaves really strange. It seems to ignore time zone settings completely. I select Melbourne, Australia and quit Sys preferences but when I get there back I still have GMT time. Setting manually gives me nothing - time of email is still GMT.
Anyone have seen similar problems after migrating? My primary guess is that this issues are caused by migrating to older Mac OS version, but maybe it's not the point. Anyway, would be great to have this fixed. Without iPhoto, iTunes and proper times in e-mail inbox my Mac is pretty useless...

I installed this update, restarted but nothing helped. By permissions - what do you exactly mean, how could they change or what could be broken?
I also noticed that what is broken as well are the PYM Player and Quick Time. When I open a movie, I got the sound but no video output at all. It is similar to iPhoto where I see the miniatures but normal size viewing goes blank.
Does anyone has a clue what can be broken that causes such problems?
My Mac is now really just an e-mailing and surfing machine...

We are getting prompted to click OK when we open Outlook on the Microsoft Exchange server and Mailbox dialog box.
We just migrated from 2007 exchange to 2013 exchange and the people with windows 7 seem to be able to access exchange through outlook 2010 without getting prompted. Also people who are getting prompted are not able to access public folders and our
XP. Those using windows 7 can access public folders.

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Windows XP does not like msstd:*.domain and must use msstd:server.domain instead.
So I recommend you set this by updating the CertificateName via EMS.
1. If you use a wildcard certificate, please run the following cmdlet:
Set-OutlookProvider EXPR –CertPrincipalName msstd:*.contoso.com
2. If not please run the Set-OutlookProvider EXPR –CertPrincipalName msstd:$null cmdlet. Once done, repair Outlook profiles and check results.
Besides, when there is a Windows XP user, we recommend SAN certificate not wildcard certificate.

Extraction issue in BI after Migration of dataflow from 3.x to BI7

We are doing a BI upgrade project from 3.x to 7. I have the following
query on data extraction from PSA to DSO and then to infocube after
migration of dataflow (Updaterules, transferules and datasource) from
3.x to BI7.
When I load data from PSA to DSO using DTP it is taking all the
requests data to DSO (all old requests data) instead of only new delta
request data. And also when i load from DSO to infocube same problem
is there (instead of taking only new delta request data, extracting
all dso active data).

In BI 7, we dont have an option to run init without data transfer. So first time when you run a delta DTP it will work as full load and set init pointer. This is expected.
Case 1: If you have already loaded duplicate data into the data targets
a. If request is already compressed perform reverse posting. if not compressed then perform selective deletion based on the request.
b. Next deltas will work fine.
Case 2: Still not loaded
Follow the steps suggested by Luther Blake.

SSRS - Editing report definition after migration

We recently migrated SQL 2005 SSRS to SQL 2012 SSRS. The migration went fine and reports subscriptions are being delivered in accordance with the subscription scheduler. However we have a need to update/review the actual Tsql that generates the report.
the server the reports were originally created has been decommissioned. The question is how do I get access to the underlying tables - assuming the reports were generated on the decommissioned server so I can handle change request for the report.

According to your description, you recently migrated SSRS reports from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2012, the reports and subscriptions work fine after migration. You need to update query of the report, but the server on which the reports originally created
has been deactivated.
In Reporting Services, we can use Report Manager to view and manage reports on the report server. Browse the folders on the server to locate reports, run reports to view them in a browser, and perform management tasks.
Report Manager can help you with following management tasks:
View and update the properties of reports, shared data sources, and other report items.
Upload reports and create new shared data sources for reports.
Create schedules to run reports at specified times and intervals.
Create, change, or delete subscriptions to reports.
Create report history and specify the number of report snapshots to keep in the report history.
Create new folders on the server to organize your reports the way you want.
In this case, we can preview reports in Report Builder. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
Start Report Manager (Default URL: http://<servername/Reports>).
In Report Manager, navigate to the Contents page. Navigate to the folder that contains the report that you want to update.
Click the drop-down arrow next to the report.
Click Edit in Report Builder from the drop down list.
In Report Data pane, expand Datasets node.
Right-click the dataset and open Dataset Properties dialog box, the query will be displayed in Query text box.

Difference in behavior of sql and pl/sql after migrating from 9i to 11g

after migrating our database from oracle 9i to oracle11g, the developpers are worry that the behavior of the queries and pl/sql procedures/functions will change
example :
in 9i, select salary,count(*) from emp group by salary, it will display the rows sorted by salary
in 11gi, select salary,count(*) from emp group by salary, it will display the rows not sorted by default, we have to add the clause order by salary.
somebody could give the list of other difference in behavior (SQL and PL/SQL) agter migrating from 9i to 11g

Tell your developers: garbage in - garbage out. In relational databases only ORDER BY ensures row order. If your developers relied on GROUP BY implemented by SORT and therefore returning ordered rows they had to realize code they wrote is Oracle release dependent and sooner or later code would require changes. And that "sooner or later" is now reality. In newer versions ORACLE can do GROUP BY via SORT or via HASH. And if it is done via HASH - don't expect ordered results. So tell your developers "payback time".

Issue in Custom Blog site definition based on SharePoint 2010 blog site definition after migrating the sites to SharePoint 2013 and site collection upgrade

I have created a custom blog site definition using SharePoint 2010 blog site definition with Configuration ID 31 in onet.xml (new value). This was working fine for SharePoint 2010.
We created new SharePoint 2013 farm and deployed the all Custom solutions in
14/15 folders. After migrating the sites to SharePoint 2013 using Content DB approach, site created previously using my custom definition are working fine.
But after running site collection upgrade these sites stop working. When I post a comment then comments not getting listed on post detail page. However comments are getting added to Comments List but
PostTitle column of Comment is not getting populated.
Also, when we create a new site in SharePoint 2013 using my custom blog template then that is also not getting provisioned. default.aspx and look-up between post and comment list are not working.
If any one has faced such issue then please share your findings and any solution to fix this.

According to your description, my understanding is that the blog based on custom blog site definition didn’t work correctly after migrating custom blog site definition to SharePoint 2013.
If you customized the Onet.xml file in a previous version's site definition, you should modify some sections in the file to work in the current version, like <BaseTypes> and <ListTemplate> etc. More information, please refer

For that the PostTitle column of Comment is not getting populated, please try to modify the view, then compare the result.

The keyword is "migration." Migrating or copying files for Adobe applications usually does not work. Not all of the necessary subsidiary files are copied to the right location.

IMac not connecting to WPA wireless in OS X and Windows

I recently purchased a 24" iMac and have had problems connecting to my roommates WPA wireless network. I used to be able to connect to a neighbors unsecured linksys and now thats gone too. I have never been able to use the shared WPA key to access the router, and I’ve read a bunch of similar stories as to why that doesn’t work. I know that I can access the wireless point with my Windows Notebook and decided to Install Windows via Bootcamp to see if I can get on that way.
Nope. The Notifier in the system tray is just telling me that its 'acquiring network address" which means the WPA is correct....is this an internal WiFi card problem?
Im sure this sounds like a repeat, so linking me to the appropriate sites for troubleshooting would help too.

Issue after Migration: ID and Content-ID are different in SOAP Payload

Hi Experts,
I am facing a strange issue in the PI landscape after the migration from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1.
The scenario is from R/3 system to TIBCO System (Proxy-to-SOAP). The TIBCO system receives the file in SOAP Format. The message is sent from PI via SOAP adapter to TIBCO System.
There is a attachment coming from the R/3 System along with the main message and the main payload/message has a "attachment-ID" as a field. Earlier what used to happen in XI 3.0 that the "Attachment-ID" used to equal to the "Content-ID" when the SOAP payload was generated at the TIBCO end. Now after migration, in PI 7.1 the "Attachment-ID" and "Content-ID" are different. We have control over the "Attachment-ID" as it is coming from the source payload but we do not have any control over the "Content-ID" as we are not creating it.
Can anyone of you please let me know how the SOAP Payload is created and how the content-ID gets populated in the Header of the SOAP Envelope? Also, can anyone help me to fix this issue? Is it something which needs to be handled by us or the BASIS Team?

I create my own SOAP Header if I apply the solution provided by you then will the rest of the details in the SOAP Header payload will change or do I need to customize it for myself? For e.g., there is a field named MessageId in the SOAP Header. If I write a Java Mapping, do I need to manually populate the MessageId field in the SOAP Header of my java code or will it be automatically populated?
My requirement is to change only the content ID of the SOAP Header Payload and the rest of the fields should remain the same as it is. Is it possible with the approach that you mentioned above?

Canon support told me that the I-pad printer driver would not work with any printer, including HP. They offered to fix the problem for $50. I turned them down.
If they really could fix the problem, they must be saying to update the printers firmware. Look on the cannon website & update the priners firmware. While you at it, update the routers firmware.
What printer do you have?
