No batch in second company code

Hi,
I have very specific requirement i.e. i am maintaining batch for a material in plant 1000 in company code 1000. This company code has already been implemented.
Now i do't want batch management for the same  material in plant 2000 in company code 2000 .
Pl.tell what settings are required as i  am trying to create material master  for the same material in plant 2000 the indicator is coming by default.

Hi,
Changing the Batch level to Plant level could solve your problem.

  • Creation of referenc BP in SD for different company code from IS-U system

    Dear Friends,
I have two company codes called 2000 and 3000 in my IS-U system. I would like to create SD ref customer with reference to BP created in the IS-U system.
I created SD reference customer with 2000 company code along with sales data's and assigned it to MKK role in IS-U, but for the second company code 3000, I can't assign the SD reference customer in IS-U MKK role, because the MKK role has been assigned it to the SD ref customer of company code 2000.
Now the problem is, I need to create SD reference customer for two company codes (2000 and 3000) with two different sales org. details through IS-U.

Try creating your SD reference customer in both the company codes (2000 & 3000) with their respective Sales Org data in XD01. Specify this reference customer while defining the parameters for automatic creation of SD customers for BP in IS-U.

  • Version 4.6c Cross Company Code Incoming payment to lockbox.

In version 4.6c I am trying to find out the correct IMG configuration for processing incoming payments to a lockbox when multiple companies are using one company for banking.  Here is what I have done so far:
Here are the company codes:  2100 has house banks and lockbox set up.
0980 does not have house bank or lockbox.
OX16 - all both company codes involved are assigned to the same Company.
OBVU - Non-bank company code  0980 has 2100 set up as Paying Company Code
OBYA - Clearing accounts have been set up between 0980-2100.
OB05 - Accounting Clerk has been set up for both company codes.
OB10 - Lockbox from 2100 has been set up  for 0980.  Even though 0980 does not have a House bank set up, IMG Configuration did allow the lockbox and house bank for 2100 to be saved under 0980.
OB96 - Forms to be used were linked to 0980
One issue we are having is that when we attempt to set up a Customer for 0980 a field for Lockbox is required to be entered.  When the 2100 Lockbox is input, an error message pops up saying that 0980 does not have a House Bank.
Can someone please explain how to complete the configuration for this type of activity in version 4.6c?  Also should we be using F-28, FB05 or some other t-code to post incoming payments.

    Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
    and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.

  • Cross-company code posting BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST number range

When I use BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST for cross-company code - I put the first company code in the header and first line item and the second company code in the second line item.
This posts - however there is a BIG problem with the document numbers it posts:
    1. It posts <b>both</b> company codes using the number range of the second company code.
    2. It updates NRIV for only the second company code.
How do I get this to work properly and post with the correct number range for the first company code.

  • Cross Company Code Revenue Booking

    My scenario is as follows
A customer buys a product from one company code and installation and service from another company code, but only receives one invoice for the product and installation from the first company code. • Cross-company code clearance

    Dear Experts,
Can anybody tell me the following requirement for our client ...
In cross company code clearance, will it be possible to limit only TWO company codes, so that it would be easy for reconcile the accounts.
Your early response is highly appreciated.

    Hello,
I am not able to understand your query. You may explain with a business case example to get better reply.
The following text may be useful.
    Hello,
You can post cross company code transactions, means first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Therefore, in first company code you need an offsetting entry to balance the document, in the same way in second company code you need an offsetting entry to balance the document. Therefore, you need to configure OBYA.
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:

  • Extend article wrt. different store which belong to different Company code

    Hi experts !!!!
Would like to get u r suggesations
We have Scenario like two company codes.
In First company code we have  one Distribution centre and in Second Company code we have five store
The Article we have created in distribution Center belongs to First Company code
and same Article we need to extend to all store which belong to second company code
    please advice
    thanks in advance

The scenario is called Cross Company Code Stock transfer.
If your company's distribution center and store belong to different company codes and you need to transfer goods from one to the other, you must create a stock transport order with document type NB. This involves the process stock transfer with billing document. As in normal stock transport orders, an SD delivery with a
specific delivery type (NLCC) is created for this combination of supplying site and document type NB. This ensures that an invoice can be sent to the store.

  • Bank communication management- FBPM1 does not group if company codes differ

    Hi SAP Gurus
I am trying to batch payments across company codes provided the house bank remains the same as it is the same file format.  But when I run FBPM1 it always splits the file as 2 files even though the house bank is the same with same payment method.  I think this is a limitation due to variant maintanence across company codes in OBPM4.  Is my understanding right?
Is there a way to batch payments across company codes provided the house bank is the same?

I would only mention that your definition is incomplete for this -

and that it's most often referred to now as a Descendent selector, not a contextual selector.  It's basically the same as the Compound selector that you have already defined....

  • Company currency does not differ from company code currency

    Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie in SAP FI. Forgive me if this is a rpet pos. I could not find an answer using search.
    Here is my problem:
I defined a compay with currecny as USD. I defned two company codes one with currency USD and the other
    with currency INR.
I assigned compay code 1 (with USD as currency) to cmpany successfully.
However, when I tr t assign the secnd company ( wih INR currency)it gives me the following error:
"Company currency does not differ from company code currency".
How do I solv this problem.
    Thaks,
    Cheruvu

    hi
when you defined your company currency as USD and Company code currency is also USD therefore it is not shown any warning but second company code currency taken as INR system  expressing warning since company currency and company code currency differs as company stands for group for consolidation point of view
therefore it is only warning not error you can just enter and further configure nothing will be adverse

  • Billing docs for different company codes

    hello, friends.
let's say a client has 2 company codes.  of course, these company codes would have different sales orgs, and by extension different sales areas.
now further, these company codes would require billing documents each with different number ranges.  normally, we define a set of sales orders and billing types for each sales org so that the number range will not be shared.
but is it possible (SAP standard) for both sales orgs to be sharing the same sales order documents and still have different billing types (e.g. invoice)?  i was thinking of doing this by assigning a Document Pricing Procedure in the billing type for the second company code and then assigning the second sales org to this in OVKK.  has anyone tried this?
if this will not work, is there an existing userexit for this?
    many thanks in advance...

    Hi
I think this is not possible as per standard
Because 1 sales order type can have only 1 invoice or billing type
in VOV8 if it is order related or delivery related we have to assign the billing type
It may be possible  for your case
by differentiating i billing type for SALES ORG A  as delivery related
for SALES ORG B as order related
    I have never tried

  • One controlling area  with two company codes assigned with one CoA

    Hi,
I   am having one controlling area  with two company codes assigned , i am using the same  gl for two company codes  as cost element , when i am positng the  miro for vendor purpose  it posted the error  , to avoid the  price difference purpose , i have given  one cost center  of  first company code in OKB9 , and  overcome the error , entries posted, when i am posting new entry for MIRO   in secod  company codes with same cost  element ,  price difference of that account should go to the other cost center  which specifically created for second company code,  in the OBK9 i have given  cost center first company code   of the same GL  account , now this is another new entry in the second company code with other cost center in the second company code  since the price difference  account should sit in the other cost center of second company code,  how to  over come  this problem, pls help me
    Thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi,
First, remove the default cost center in the cost element. Then, for the system to derive the correct cost center for each company codes, define one cost center for each compny codes in OKB9 just like this:
Co Code   Cost Element   Cost Center
    1000          1000000              A
    2000          1000000              B
So during MIRO, the system will derive these values you maintain in OKB9.
