Document Category Error while creating PO

When I am creating PO with reference to contract system gives error that "Document type MK is not assigned to document category "F" I am not aware of assignment of document category to document type. Please can anyone tell me where to assign the same.

Check if you have renamed any of the item categories in Define External Representation of Item Categories..
I doubt there is a standard Item category such as "F"
You need to check the definition for Document Type under Contract and ensure that "F" is also one of the allowed item categories under document type MK.

speak to your SD functional person. The Error is pretty self explanatory; SAP is telling you that the item category for that order item is not permitted by your SD configuration.

Service category Mapping while creating PO

Hi,
Requirement is to configure types of service which is categorized in two parts. Service category A has almost 16 types of services which is 100 % claimable and service category B has 100 types of service which 40-50% claimable from the govt.
Now let me know how we can categorize service A & B in the system so that user should create PO with types of service.
If any body has done it before then pls help me to resolve this issue.

Create the two types of service category in IMG and create service masters withe the different number ranges.
Service category A :Internal number assignment

what the most convenient way to customize the Category and Category items list while creating New Model?
This is standard:
Now, what we want to achieve, is to customize this menu, to:
1. Display in the Category window only f.e. two categories:
- EA Diagrams
- BPM Diagrams
2. In the EA Diagrams, we want to have f.e. four copies of City Planning diagram, each of them should have different elements available, f.e. in the first copy, only Architecture Areas shall be made available, in the second one Architecture Areas and Business Functions, in the third on f.e. only Business Functions shall be made available. Additionally, it should behave like a hierarchy ... meaning you can create the second diagram, only as child (related diagram) of the first diagram etc.
I know, excluding the particular diagrams/diagram elements can be configured using the right/profile settings, but how to:
1. Customize the standard New Model menu window
2. Create copies of City Planning Diagrams with different set-ups
3. Set the relationship between diagrams
Is such a configuration change possible?

Click on Tools => General Options=> Model Creation
Click on Properties => at right of Default category set
Note : Model template does not work as Category. We can't set. An enchancement request has been open to SAP
In the following example I defined a new default (MyNewDefault.mcc). As you can see only BPMN models are available.
To create a new category set with BPMN choice
a) Copy default.mcc in MyNewDefault.mcc file.
    Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : Select your new category
    Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : Edit properties and remove all things you does not want keep
or
b) Go to Tools=>General options=>Model Creation : Edit properties and click on Save as button and specify the file name "MyNewDefault".
    Quit the window.
    Select you new category : Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : "MyNewDefault"
    Edit properties and remove all things you does not want keep.
    Save you new category

If I understand well your question. I suggest to take a look in
Repository=>Administration=>Objects Permission Profile
You can specify objects to show, mask, deactivate at model level.
You can specifiy your own metadata.
But I'm not sure you can mask, deactivate functions following diagram selection. It seem to specific.

I have assigned the Characteristics group /AFS/SAP_C to the characteristics but still i am getting the error when i assign the Char Field under the Category Structure.
I have manually created the Characteristics Group AFS characteristics for categories. Is this will automatically updated or while installing the Add On.

you can do in two ways.
1. Enter a valid Division which you configured in the system.
2. Remove the Division as required field. However I suggest it should have a valid division. Why can not you check with your Functional owner?

Specifying nologging while creating spatial indexes

Is it possible to specify NOLOGGING parameter while creating spatial indexes? When i am trying to specify this i get the following error message
SQL> create index BUSH_sx on BUSH(BUSHLOCATION) indextype is mdsys.spatial_index nologging;

SDO_COMMIT_INTERVAL determines the number records in a commit chunk during index BUILD, I noted this was not documented raised doc BUG 6414510 for this
and SDO_DML_BATCH_SIZE manual entries....
Specifies the number of index updates to be processed in each batch of updates after a commit operation. The default value is 1000. For example, if you insert 3500 rows into the spatial table and then perform a commit operation, the updates to the spatial index table are performed in four batches of insert operations (1000, 1000, 1000, and 500).
The sdo_dml_batch_size parameter can improve application performance, because Spatial can preallocate system resources to perform multiple index updates more efficiently than successive single index updates; however, to gain the performance benefit, you must not perform commit operations after each insert operation or at intervals less than or equal to the sdo_dml_batch_size value. You should not specify a value greater than 10000 (ten thousand), because the cost of the additional memory and other resources required will probably outweigh any marginal performance increase resulting from such a value.

I have found if you are doing repeated inserts/updates etc of 100,000 plus records despite the above, there is an advantage or appears to be! ;-) for setting it to 50,000.

It is only when oracle comes to use that directory object that it will need to exist otherwise you'll get an error. Oracle doesn't check the path upon creation of the directory object itself.
The directory object should point to a path that is visible from the database server such that, if you were logged directly onto the server itself, you could access that directory from there (and preferably without UNC paths, as Oracle has been known to have issues with those in some versions). Typically the directory will be on the server itself, but if it must be on a remote location it will need to be mapped as if it is a local directory. You can't expect Oracle to hack across the security of a network and break into another machine to access it's directories without explicit permission having alreayd been granted at the operating system level.

FCE is a fixed resolution video editing application. It will only work in DV or HDV. 10fps is not a frame rate used by either of those. The material needs to be in a standard frame resolution and frame rate. The standard for DV is 720x480 at 29.97fps. If you capture at 10fps you're going to have to save the material using the DV NSTC codec, set the frame size to 720x480 and the frame rate to 29.97. You may have pixel aspect ratio issues requiring capture at 720x540, but I don't know enough about SnapzPro to know how that product handles frame resolution and frame rate conversion.

Error while creating a PO

Hi all,
I have got an error while creating a PO with an Internal Order. I am trying to post this PO against an Internal Order. The error message says that:
User status BUDG is active (ORD 10034). When I click the perform assistant, it says that according to this status, transaction 'Material purchase order' is not allowed.
Can somebody plss help me in this regards, I will assign points.

What you enter in the Cost element master data is only for defaulting the cost center or order when you use that GL account.
When you see a message transction requires an account assignment, you can enter the relevant cost center for which the cost is incurred.
For your information, If an order has been marked as statistical, you can find it in KO02 change order > Control data. there may be check box saying statistical. If it is not available, then, you can't make it statistical until, you make that field available for change for the order type. Usually orders of a particular type can be made as statistical, by providing a model order to the order type. In the model order you specify that it will be statistical.
