No email attachments to Document library when using data driven subscriptions
We have recently migrated to SharePoint 2013 and setup document libraries to publish reports to.
When we send an email with an attachment to the document library from a users mailbox, the document library acts as expected and detaches the email and publishes it to a subfolder inside the library. However when we schedule reports using data driven subscriptions
and add the email address as a CC, the subfolder gets created but there is no attachment.
What could cause this issue?
Thanks for your time
Hi WFN_Will,
regarding this issue, we don't know for sure, unless we trace the process,
do the attachment is not there, or when the attachment there the process was failed, or the target not able to receive the attachment?
from the description, seems the target and the process of receiving the attachment is ok, I guess you can start to check from this part:

to ensure that the attachment is there.

Open PDF's in new window in document library when using "Find a file" search
I need to be able to open PDF's in a new window from a document library when using the "Find a file" search built into the document library "All documents" view. I currently have the following javascript on the page:
_spBodyOnLoadFunctionNames.push("setTargetBlank()");
function setTargetBlank()
{ $("a[href$='.pdf']").removeAttr('onclick').attr("target", "_blank");
This works great when going to the document library and navigating through the folders then clicking on a link.
The problem is when someone goes to the document library then uses the "Find a file" search and then they click on a link. The "Find a file" search does not do a postback (reload) of the page, therefore my javascript to find the PDF links
and make them open in a new window does not run for the links on the page.
I have read the following article but this does not seem to offer a solution that will work in this situation for SharePoint 2013 (Office 365): http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/7ad3224c-3165-47ae-95bc-4f3928e2f9a8/opening-document-library-pdf-in-a-new-window-sharepoint-2013?forum=sharepointgeneral
I suppose the idea solution would be to somehow tap into the event that is fired when using "Find a file" search to run my javascript and update the links for the search results.
Can anyone offer any solutions to this issue?Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to open PDF files in a new window from a document library when using the "Find a file" search.
As you said, the "Find a file" search does not do a postback (reload) of the page, therefore JavaScript to find the PDF links and make them open in a new window does not run for the links on the page.
I recommend to use JS link to achieve the goal. Create a JavaScript override file and upload the JavaScript file to the Master Page Gallery, and then set the JS Link property of the document library web part to point to the JavaScript file.
Here are some links about the JS link in SharePoint 2013 for you to take a look:

Error when email enabling a document library
Hi - I've checked through other threads re errors when email enabling a doc library, but our scenario is a bit different. We have some custom code that creates sites based on a site template and uses data from a 3rd party system to define the site
name, permissions etc. I don't think that the process for creating the sites is relevant to the issue, but mentioning that anyway to be complete. As part of the site creation workflow, one of the document libraries is email enabled. However, on one specific
site, the document library was not email enabled. When I try and do this manually, I get the following error:
Error in the application. at
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList.UpdateDirectoryManagementService(String oldAlias,
String newAlias)
at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList.Update(Boolean
bFromMigration)
at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList.Update()
at
Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.EmailSettingsPage.SubmitButton_Click(Object

System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at
System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)
at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler
sourceControl, String eventArgument)
at
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint,
Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)
Other tests/observations:
On the problem site, I get the same error when trying to email enable other document libraries
Other sites on the same site collection have been created using the same process/site template, and the appropriate document library was email enabled automatically (sites created both before and subsequent to this problem site)
I have successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on an different existing site
I have manually created a new site using the same site template and successfully managed to manually email enable a document library on that site
So I am fairly certain that it is nothing to do with permissions as other posts relating to this issue have suggested. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening, how to resolve or further checks I can make? Many thanksHi qaaweb,
based on my experience, the issue itself may be caused by some triggers,
the permission is one of them only,
to narrow down usually, we try to update credential first, that at some environment may less impact.
example:
based on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947.aspx, to configure email, if already configured then skip.
make sure that application pool account that is used for central admin to be the same for central admin, site and the web application.
make sure SQL server and granted DBCreator , Serveradmin, Setupadmin on service account.
remove old database and sync:
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0
C:\program files\common files\Microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\bin>stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0
Update farm credentials, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934838
if needed: central administration > Operation > Authentication provider and changed Kerberos to NTLM on central admin site.
Login service account on the SharePoint server and enable IncomingEmail settings on the web application
please let us know if the workaround is not applicable

Populate sharepoint2013 document library coloumns using infopath2013 form
Hi
Is it possible to populate sharepoint2013 document library columns using Infopath2013 forms?
A form created in info path is published to the document library.
As default when you create a new form from the library - fill it and then you can save the form and are presented with pop-up-box where you type inn the filename. This data (Filename) is stored under the library column "Name" for the form-file.
However it would be terrific if the user also had to input data in the other columns . These columns are required* in the library.
Im a total newb at infopath, any help would be much appreciated!
And showing how would be very nice too!
brgs
bjornBy mapping fields on the infopath form to the sharepoint list/library (column type basic text), I could populate the metadata columns as i wanted.

Error when using data postion delay
I obtained this error when using data position delay. Can anyone please
tell me the reason why I can not configure the delay to be between 0.7
and 0.8.
Possible reason(s):
Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA403F) Unable to configure requested delay property given the current clock rate.
Ensure that the delay value specified is within the valid range for the
frequency specified or do not configure property for delay operation.

on frequency. Between 25MHz and 50MHz there are "holes" in the
available delay range. Above 50MHz, the full 0 to 1 data delay is
valid. If you look in the specifications installed with NI HSDIO
for the NI 656x, on page 7, Figure 1, there is an illustration showing
how to compute what the valid range is for the frequency of interest.
For example, at 40MHz, valid values are:
0 to 0.2
0.3 to 0.7
0.8 to 1
In the error message posted below, you tried to input a value of 0.71875 which is not within these ranges. -

santoshHi Santosh,
Based on your error message, it's has issue in the parameters arguments when you call the createDataDrivenSubscription() function. we suggest you to check your parameters argument to createDataDrivenSubscriptio() function. Mostly it's the issue of the
Parameters. You are passing a ParameterFieldReference array object called parameters. The web service is very strict with the FieldAlias property. It need the fieldAlias have to EXACTLY MATCH a field in the data set that
is part of the data retrieval plan, otherwise it will throw the exception above. So please pay attention to the white space or lower/higher cap issue. Also we suggest you use functions like Trim() to make fieldAlias fit the field in dataset.
Reference:
The required field Field is
missing from the input structure.

SSRS Data Driven Subscription Split Report on Email
I have a requirement to email an SSRS report to each of the individual emails referenced in the report.
Think of it is as a mail merge wherein there are 5 persons receiving the report. The Current SSRS Report contains 5 Letters. The Email Subscription dataset is identical to the one upon which the report is based and works as expected. The problem is that currently
it is sending the ENTIRE report to each email rather than sending only the report that corresponds to the applicable email ( I have heard this referred to as bursting the report).
Is there some setting that I may be missing? How can this be achieved?
Again I have Info
Report A
(user1 info, User 1 Email
User2 info---------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 2 email
User3 info User 3 email
User4 info User 4 email
User5 ) User 5 email
And I want
Report A
(user1 info--------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 1 Email
User2 info---------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 2 email
User3 info --------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 3 email
User4 info --------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 4 email
User5 info --------------BEING EMAILED TO ----------> User 5 emailHi Garrett_ll,
After testing the issue in my local environment, we can refer to the steps below to achieve your requirement:
We should add a parameter named User in the report use User field as Available Values.
Add a filter as below in the corresponding tablix:
Expression: [User]
Operator: =
Value: [@User]
Deploy the Report to report server.
During the data-driven subscription, in the step 4 (Specify delivery extension settings for Report Server Email). Below “To” option, select “Get the value from the database”, then select User field.
In the step 5, we can configure report parameter “Get the value from the database”, then select User field.
The following article about Create a Data-Driven Subscription, you can refer to it.

If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Please give me some advice about this Data-driven Subscription runs every hour misses out once or twice a day, but the subscription job history shows it ran sucessfull but it doesnt trigger the e-mail out.
Is there a way to check on subscription logs that SSRS has triggered the report out to the e-mail server.
Is there a way to add add logs for the e-mail part to make sure it has sent out the email ?
Nothing in the E-mail server logs to show this report email was requested / delivered / rejected by it.
So - Kindy advice me how can I proceed my findings on this.

Attachments in document library sharepoint 2013
I have an document library I need to attach multiple documents for a same item .I know there is no option available for attachments in the document library of sharepoint 2013 ..
Is there any other way to attach multiple documents as a single document in the document library of sharepoint 2013 .
Thanks
Mohammad ArifIf you can use a list then you can attach multiple attachments to the list.

Hello,
I am trying to allow my users to use my form, fill out the fields, add attachments and then on button click the form will be attached to the document library (already done) and the attachments the user added will be automatically sent to another document
library so that I can send them to another location separately from the form.
So the sequence of events is:
User enters in data
User attaches documents
User submits data to document library
Attachments are sent to a separately document library
Unfortunately I can't use code to go about this so this leaves out the COM but is there an out of the box way to go about this?Hi,
Kindly check out below mentioned URL for more details on this issue.

Hello, I wish for all Word documents to open in the browser for my SharePoint document library on my team site.
The feature 'open in client application' is not activated in Features for the site collection and the setting in the document library is set on 'Use the server default (open in the browser)
When I select File > new> from the ribbon in the document library - it still opens Word in the client application?
Any ideas on this?
Is there a general Office 365 setting over riding SharePoint somewhere?
Regards
kegan1Okie don't open up a ticket. Can you please open internet explorer...See if its the latest version. Once you have done that can you login to the SharePoint site. Then go to the internet wheel option in top right corner > select manage add on >
Click on toolbars and extensions on left > then click on SharePoint open documents in client and disable it. Close the browser completely now for the changes to take effect. Open internet explorer once again and then try to go to site collection click on
file and create new. The word will open up in browser now. This has to be done on each and every machine in your firm so that users will be able to open up only in browser. Out of the box there is only one way is to customize the ribbon and remove the new
option from there or creating an all together new ribbon for your SharePoint from visual studio.
