No lock screen on ipad3 with ios7

Since installing ios7 on my ipad3, I have no lock screen showing the swipe bar. When I open my Smart Cover, it goes right to my password protection screen. When I tried various lock screen photos, I was unable to scale them down or move them easily. After hitting the save lock screen photo button, the iPad sat for a few moments, then went back to the "choose a wallpaper" screen.
Anybody got a fix?

Are you using a Flash-based player? Make sure you're running the latest Flash.

So I've noticed that the camera option on the lock screen has disappeared, i tried looking everyone online for a solution, but they were all for ios5, saying to double tap the home button, I tried that anyways, so I know for sure that didnt work. I ran through the settings thoroughly and found absolutely nothing to enable the camera option again. Can anyone help ?

Sounds stop playing when user locks screen on iOS with AIR 3.9 Beta

We built a simple application that should play sounds when in background and when the screen is locked.
Since we updated to the latest AIR 3.9 Beta SDK, all sounds stop playing when the user locks the screen on iOS.
The sounds resume when the screen is unlocked.
- it works on Android
- we use renderMode : cpu
- we use UIBackgroundModes : audio
- we use NativeApplication.nativeApplication.systemIdleMode=SystemIdleMode.KEEP_AWAKE;
- sounds play when the app is in background
- was working great with AIR 3.8 SDK
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Image does not show in lock screen after updating to ios7

when i first downloaded ios7 the lockscreen was showing the selected wallpaper. Now it is missing. Any one else having this issue? Any ideas? I have rebooted and that did not work.

IOS7 lock screen and wallpaper changes

A friend who just upgraded & is beside herself at the changes to the lock screen and wallpaper in iOS7. Can't seem to make the Move and Scale function work and stick on the Wallpaper, and she hates the keypad overlay blurring out her Lock Screen photo (she had the her Lock Screen photo cleverly sized and positioned in iOS6 so that the keypad was an integral part of the picture). Is there a solution to this in the community?

This is an absolutely low character and unethical change Apple made starting with iOS 7.0, I believe. I've read rumor that Apple is in bed with a friend of theirs who've they've allowed to make an App, which crops the photo so it will work on the lock screen and background photo. If this is true, this indicates a terrible low character era starting with Apple. An era of Apple beginning to disable standard features and moving them to App makers to generate programmers and funds for friends of the company who make these Apps. I've been submitting Apple feedback since iOS 7.0 regarding this (probably going on 25 to 40 times now) with no updates and now, today, we are on iOS 8.1.1 with no changes. It would follow that this will not be corrected if Apple has allowed App makers to make fixes for this code change. Sad, isn't it. Apple is rolling in so much money and success that they don't fear any repercussions from doing something like this. You think Steve Jobs would have done something like this to the users? I don't think so. If you read Tim Cook's bio, he came from Compaq and IBM. Stars began aligning in my understanding of Tim Cook when I read this and see programming like this. Either he is involved or he is so separate from programming now that he didn't catch the programming change and hasn't noticed this bug. Either way, it's bad news for Apple's success. An unethical CEO or an ignorant one who is no longer in control of the basics.

They are free to iOS 7 users who have activated their NEW device on Sept 1 2013 or after. They are NOT automatically free with iOS 7.
AirDrop is only compatible with iPad 4th gen and iPad mini. iPad 3rd gen and below do contain the necessary hardware for AirDrop. Also, AirDrop is only compatible between iOS devices. You cannot AirDrop between iOS device and Mac OS.

Custom lock screen GPO not working for domain users

I have a WS2012 standard server with W8 Pro clients. I'm trying to force the lock screen to a .jpg however it's not working, it leaves the users with just a standard blueish screen.
I have the "force a specific default lock screen image" enabled with the path \\MRS-DC\WP\mrc_lock_screen.jpg
The GPO is being applied according to the results wizard, however no image. What gives?

In addition, please check your below policy:
Prevent changing lock screen image under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization
Disable it and check the result also.

Lock screen failed

I am trying to lock user's machine with ARD, I get "Lock screen Failed" notice with no explanation.
Can you please help?

I know there are times when you can't lock the screen. Such as while a user is logging in or out. In those situations if you wait till the user is logged in, then you can lock the screen.
Are you using Remote Management on the client? if so, have you checked to see what level of access you have on ARDAgent on the client computer? (on the client, apple menu, system prefrences, sharing, remote management, if the account your using to connect is listed select it, then click the options button, and make sure every thing is checked, then click ok)
Also, you can check to see if the firewall is enabled on the client. If it is, try disabling it.

Please add Save feature in the lock screen for mobile devices (see picture below). It is annoying to have to unlock my phone every time I want to save a music I'm listening to.

It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.
