No movies tab in itunes recent purchases?

I just found out that in the purchased tab on the itunes app there is now one for movies i have an iphone 4s and it dosnt seem to be there just wondering if i need to do something else??

I'm suspecting that you don't have the video iPod. Although your iTunes supports video, there is absolutely no reference to video on the iPod portion of the screen. Also, there's no Photo tab and no Games tab.
Further, the iPod software version number is completely out of whack. The latest version for the Generation-5 iPod is 1.2.1 yet you have 6.0. Finally, your serial number doesn't look quite right. I have absolutely confirmed that that is not a serial number for the "late 2006 Generation-5" unit but I can't get sample serial numbers from the earlier Gen-5 units.
Go here and determine exactly what you have.

  • ITunes won't sync videos to iPod (no "Movies" tab in iTunes either)

Hey... I really hope you could help me somehow, I'm really desperate..
So few days ago I was able to sync videos to iPod 30GB and everything went well. When I added some more videos to iTunes and connected iPod in order to sync those videos everything stopped working. All of my music and pics are still in the iPod, but videos are gone completely. There is no "Videos/Movies" tab in iTunes (iPod actually) nor "Images" tab... How can fix this??
    Thnx for your help...

  • Where is the pre-order movies tab in iTunes Store on iPad running iOS 8.1.2

I am trying to find the Pre-order movies tab that existed BEFORE IOS 8 that allowed you to preview upcoming movies that would be released in the next few weeks. Since IOS 8 it has disappeared...or I am blind as a bat and can't find it. Anyone have a clue if it still exists or it was a casualty of IOS 8
    i am using IOS 8.1.2
    Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I did check your suggestion but that sorts the current movies that have been released not the upcoming ones.
Here is an example: The movie "Fury" is being released Dec 30th. On the MAC iTunes (Yosemite) you can go to Movies-Pre Order Movies and look at Dec 30
On the iPad you have to search for the movie by name and not go to a tab that shows you ALL the movies being released on Dec 30
    I do appreciate your help.

  • Itunes recent purchases

I cannot look at my recent purchases on the ipad itunes.  I see all of my music in alphabetical order on the left.  When I click on recent purchases or try to click songs by most recent it does not work.  It shows the loading sign and gets stuck loading until I exit itunes.
I emailed apple and they couldn't help me.  I have no problems at all connecting to the internet.  I've tried powering off the ipad, and I have the latest ipad update.
Please let me know if anyone knows what the problem is.
    Thanks,
    M

Going over my credit card statement, I find items charged through the iTunes Store. They likely are legitimate, but where on the iTunes Store site can I view a listing of what I have purchased?
You don't need to go to the Store - everything you've ever purchased using that iTunes account is in the Purchased playlist (under STORE in the sidebar on the left).
What kind of a problem is there with your purchases?

  • After upgrading to iOS 8, the 'Movies' tab of iTunes Store does app stays empty on iPad Air

I upgraded the iPad Air of me as well as the one of a friend of mine to iOS 8. After the devices were upgraded, the content of the "Movies" tab (the English translation may differ, it's called "Filme" in German) of the iTunes Store app is not shown up, instead only a loading indicator is shown.
I restarted both devices, cleared the network settings, tried a different WiFi network - but the problem still persists. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
    Thanks in advance!

You need to be patient. There is no need to post again within minutes of the first post. Try force closing the App Store app and then reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Both the AVI and the MOV file extensions refer to the file container and not the compressed data the file contains. Both are generic file containers in that each may contain any valid combination of audio and/or video data that is compatible with the codec component configuration of the system on which the file was created. On the other hand, whether a file is playback compatible, conversion compatible, and/or edit compatible depends on the data actually contained in the file container. So, you are basically dealing with two separate issues here—the container and what is inside it.
Basically, if you want to make your files ediit compatible with iMovie, you must change your file container to one that is acceptable to iMovie and convert the data to edit compatible audio and/or video compression formats as may be necessary. The best approach is to determine what codecs were actually used to create the original AVI files and add them to your system if possible. In most cases a codec package like Perian can be added to your system's codec component configuration to may the AVI file playable. Once they are playable, in the QT 7 app then they can be chnged or converted to file types and compression formats that can be edited in iMovie. (While Perian handles most codecs commonly used to create AVI files, it does not handle all possibilities and, while the Perian codec package still works under cureent Mac OS versions, its development group has decided to drop further development/support of the package.)
Background: AVI is a file container originally developed by Microsoft back in 1992 but for which official support was discontinued about 11 years. Despite its limitations, Windows users still tend to use this file based on its open source ease of use and generic nature, thus, making its use so popular that most users are unwilling to switch to more modern but less generic file types. Since some AVI legacy compression formats have never been transcoded for the Mac or use beyond OS 9 or OS X PPC platforms, it is often important to know what specific compression formats are contained in the AVI file to know which codecs to add to your system and which not to add in order to avoid possible codec conflicts.
You can use many different converters to convert AVI files to iMovie edit compatible files. Most third-party apps contain their own buit-in codecs which do not relay on the Mac codec component configuration. Free ones, like HandBrake, usually have limited conversion capabilities while those that have more varied outputs are usually commercial in nature and will cost you additional cash. QT 7 Pro or the free MPEG Streamclip app allow you to access you own system's component configuration and use any available codec component like DV, AIC, MPEG-4, H.264, Photo JPEG, etc.—all of which are iMovie compatible for editing purposes—but only after making the AVI file QT 7 player compatible.
In order to determine what compression formats wewre used in your AVI files you can
    1) Try checking the Finder "Info" window,
    2) Use the "Inspector", "Media Info", or "Properties" window of any player app that will open the file, or
    3) Use a general media utility app like "MediaInfo" to read the file characteristics.

  • HT1657 How do I move a movie from my iTunes library to my iPad

I rented a movie from iTunes on my computer and i don't know how to watch it on my iPad. It used to automatically show up in my videos on my iPad, but does not any more.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Rentals need to be transferred from your computer to your iPad. You can do this by connecting it to the computer and transferring using the movies tab in iTunes.

  • I have songs appearing as movies on my iTunes - how can I get these songs to appear as songs and not movies?

    Please help!
I have random songs that are appearing in my list of movies.  I have tried deleting them and then redownloading them from the cloud to get them back into songs.  I am successful after redownloading, BUT
...once I close out iTunes and then reenter iTunes, the songs are reappearing as movies.
    PLEASE HELP!  This is crazy.
    Thanks!
    -Zach

I had exactly the same problem. Check that the tracks still appear in your iTunes folder under Music (they should if you've re-downloaded them from the cloud). Next, look in your Movies folder and the songs might appear as individual folders. Delete those folders, empty your trash and then delete the tracks from the Movies tab in iTunes.
    Hope this helps.

How come it´s easy to buy a DVD from states via Amazon, but very difficult via Apple?

This is what Amazon-instant-watch service replied as a error message:
    "We are sorry...
We could not process your order because of geographical restrictions on the product which you were attempting to purchase. Please refer to the terms of use for this product to determine the geographical restrictions.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."
Apple should see something to learn in this Amazon answer.

There is a few events where I could see this happening...
It's possible if you computer is not authorized with your iTunes Store account it may not have transfered your purchases from the iPad to the computer. To check, Open iTunes> Select the "Store" menu along top of the program and select Authorize this computer. Sign in with your AppleID and password, this will make sure your computer is authorized for the future so you can transfer purchases from your device.

However, if your Movies are missing now you'll need to request to redownload or "regrant" them. Please send an email ticket into iTunes Store via...
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
Select "Video Purchases" in the grey boxes, then "Lost or Missing Items", then click the link to "Email Us" on the right. Fill out that form and the folks at the iTunes Store should get back to you less than 24 hours.

  • How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies on to my thumb drive and WD My Passport external hard drive. My Mac keeps saying "can't be copy because it is too large for the volumes format

How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies onto my thumb drive and WD my passport external hard drive. My Mac is saying that can't be copied because it is too large for volumes format

[file] is too large for the volumes format
That is usually an indication that the Volume was never Erased or Partitioned for GUID partition table and Mac OS, and is still in a Windows format.
Mac OS X Extended (journaled) has no such file-size limitations

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.
