No Multi-User Calendar in WebAccess

We are using GW 2012 and looking at the possibility of eliminating the client in favor of WebAccess for all users.
One issue that I've run into is that we cannot view multiple calendars via the multi-user function while in WebAccess. It works perfectly fine in the client.
When I log into my mailbox and click the calendar button, my only option under the "Calendars" box is "Calendar" which is my own. No others display. I can proxy, via WebAccess, into the other calendar with no issues.
I've looked through the threads here, and performed a few internet searches with no results. From the documentation it does appear that Multi-User is available, or supposed to be, when in WebAccess.
Our GW system (MTA, GWIA, WebAccess) is running on SLES10/OES2 with multiple post offices running on SLES10 or 11.
Thanks for any pointers you may have!
Michael

  • Multi User Calendar Display Issue

    When we moved to GW2012 one of our departments that uses a Multi User calendar (5 users in total) noticed some strange display issues.
    When User1 is looking at her Multi User Calendar, the client is displaying her appointments in User2's column as well. But if you look at User2's Multi User calendar, you don't see any of User1's appointments in User2's column, so it appears to be a display issue with User1. This same issue is happening with one other user.
    All users are on Client 12.0.2, Build 108211 . Interestingly if we look at the calendar on a machine running the GW8 client this display issue does not occur. I have also gone as far as rebuilding the calendar from scratch but this hasn't changed anything.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Multi user calendar in CRM

    Question - does SAP CRM have a multi user calendar that all users can read change and make additions to, enabaling the sales manager to arrange sales meetings that do not conflict with sales reps appointments and holidays booked?

    Hi Experts,
    I have same problem. We create appointment in CRM 2007 and adding the other employees to this activity. When we add other employees to appointment, want to display employees calendar in selected time space. If his/her calendar is empty we can add, else we couldn't.
    I searched this application in search engine and found the "Room Calendar". Could we use this application in CRM 2007 UI, if yes how?
    Thanks,
    David.

  • Shared calendar items in multi-user calendar view

    Hi!
    I have another question:
    The new multi-user Calendar-view is great - but we have one thing, which
    is confusing to our users:
    User A has a shared calendar (the owner of this shared calendar is User
    B). It is clear, that User A can see appointments of this shared
    calendar in his "main Calendar" if this shared calendar is "enabled".
    But User A cannot see the calendar items of this foreign shared
    calendar, if he changes to the new multi-user - view.
    Does this work as designed or is it a bug?
    Thanks a lot

    Does User A also have read proxy rights to User B's calendar?
    Also, which version/patchlevel of the client are you using?

  • Proxy for Multi User calendar shows user's folder tree

    By giving the View proxy right to other users, so that they can utilize the Multi User calendar, this apparently also gives the user you've assigned that right to the ability to see the folder tree of all users that have given the View right to the user. In other words, by clicking on the Proxy icon at the top of your folder tree, and picking the user who gave you read rights to their appointments, you can see all their folders. Granted, you will only be able to see appointments within those folders. But, some users may assign descriptive folder names they might otherwise not want to be visible to others. Is there some way to hide the folder view, while still proxying the view right to appointments?
    Thanks

    Ok, Thanks - I'm satisfied as long as that's by design.

  • Error d124 Multi user calendar

    Hello,
    we moved all of our users from one PO to another, both GW2012SP2. When the users now open their multi user calendar they get the error "d124".
    When i open the multi-user list in a users mailbox there are entries from the old po an the new po. I tried to remove the old entries by click the Name, click Remove User, click OK to save. When i re-open the list, the removed users dont appear. Now i closed the Client, start it again and all of the removed users are shown up again in the multi-user list...
    Does anyone have an idea how to remove the user in the multi-user list permamently? Or have any GW Check options to solve this?
    kind regards
    Benjamin

    Moving in every sense of the term always leaves some loose ends like
    this. This is why as much as possible we like to move POs and not the
    users if we can avoid it. Basically some of the connectsions betweek
    users broke because a bunch of them are still looking at the old PO, so
    we need to work through those connections and fix them.

    In looking this up I found I had a user in my list that was no longer in
    the system and I had the same behaviour in trying to deal with it. I
    realized that this was only the users I have proxied into, so I went into
    my proxy list, removed the offending user, and after a restart the
    problem went away. So how many of these do you need to deal with?
    Before we look at the specialized GWchecks, make sure you are running a
    regular set of them and checking the resulting outputs for any errors
    that might point you to parts of the cleanup.

    Running through the TopDown rebuild (TID 3347260 at

    Rebuild Indexes after doing the other parts at those levels may help.
    Afterwards an Analyze/Fix of Structure & Index would be useful, checking
    the results to see if it reports problems. If there are such problems,
    rerun again to see that they are gone.

  • Since iPad is not a multi user device,

    I'm interested in how other users deal with this.
    My 1st iPad (I'll purchase more) is a coffee table device available to family and friends. Since I have many Apple products and confidential information that I don't want to share with friends/family/friends of family, I have taken the follow steps:
    1. Not synced with Mobile Me, even though I subscribe, I don't want other people to sync to my master computers/databases. They can't make changes to my personal data.
    2. I created a new email ID only used by the iPad. All mail sent by "other people" are sent from this ID.
    3. Create Mail rules to forward general purpose family email to the iPad email ID.
    4. Create subfolder/smartfolders of contacts, calendars, photos, etc and just download those subsets during sync.
    5. Entrys into the iPad calendar upload into my master calendar but don't change anything I have set.
    6. Contacts contain a small subset of family, friends. People that the typical user would email.
    The iPhone, iPod have all been "personal devices". Information loaded wasn't as critical because that device was in one's personal possession. The iPad in many cases crosses that line into a multiuser device with single user support. All your personal data shouldn't be loaded for others to see/modify.
    Your thoughts?

    It's true, Capt. Fred, there's no security as yet on the iPad. Pages doesn't even let you save anything with a passcode. There are third party apps that will secure things (like +Documents to Go+ and Safe ) so you can secure files if you want to. You can also, of course, secure the entire iPad as you could the iPhone. It even has that feature that wipes the whole thing clean after 10 wrong password entries. But other than that, the whole thing is open and it does not support more than one user. There has been discussion of that elsewhere in this forum. In order for the OS to support a Windows or Mac like multi user account system, the thing would need to get a bit more complex than Apple wants just now, I think. But as more and more users migrate to the iPad for pretty much full time use, there will be more and more clamoring for more complexity and functionality. So it's a matter of time, I think. Already Apple is going to multitasking in the upcoming OS 4.0 upgrade for iPad and latest iPhones. My only question is, will my first run iPad support these inevitable future upgrades? We'll see, I guess. Sure hope so.

  • Ipad 2 and multi user

    Will the Ipad 2 have the ability to establish separate accounts for multi users in one household. For example and adult account with emails and calendar and separate accounts for kids with parental controls?

    No.

  • Multi User Skype

    Multi User Skype was great until the latest software upgrade, which in my opinion was actually a downgrade. It is now awful - it keeps on dropping out - then users can't connect.  It is totally unreliable. Very dissappointing.

  • File Discrepancies for Multi Users

    Hi ...
    We are running RH7 and RSC3.1 with 3 users - We identified
    (only yesterday) that after User 1 had deleted one topic file from
    Project Manager and added several others ... User 2 and 3 had
    broken links for these topics.
    We are able to update existing topics by one user, who check
    in, then user 2 and 3 can get the latest version and instantly view
    the changes - lovely!! Exactly what we would expect ...
    But the same is not occurring when we remove or add entire
    topics to both the Project Manager and the TOC ...
    User 2 and 3 see the topics in the TOC with the dreaded red
    cross through them ... and have to try and locate the file or
    restore broken links etc ... to get their view of the project in
    sync with User 1. This seems to defeat the whole purpose of being
    able to have a multi user authoring environment????
    A major concern of this problem appears to be the risk of
    undoing each others work by potentially restoring files that
    another user intended to remove ...
    Is anyone else experiencing similar issues ... we are in a
    big organisation and are very restricted in terms of our ability to
    access the servers etc ... but I want to know if there is something
    we should be checking or doing differently from an application
    perspective? Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated...
    Many thanks ...
    Frustrated!

    Hi Fi@qldpol, and welcome to the board. With your situation,
    there are two likely possibilities:
    1. Was your project added to source control via RoboHelp, or
    was it initially added using RoboSource Control? If it was added
    from RoboSource Control, then that is the problem.
    2. If #1 is not the problem, then you might be having
    problems with some of the users' CPD files. First, have everyone
    make backups of the local version of their project (the files
    actually residing on their PCs). Then have User 2 and User 3 delete
    their copy of the project, and replace it with a copy of User 1's
    local files. Before they open the project, they should delete the
    cpd and pss files. After they delete those files, they can open the
    project as usual and let the cpd file rebuild. We have to do this
    every so often with some of our projects to get everyone
    synchronized.
    Hope that helps.

  • I have windows, one computer but multi users. home sharing is on. how can i share music between users on one computer?

    I have windows.  One computer but multi users.  Home sharing is on. 2 apple accounts-1 per user. 4 devices-2 iphones and 2 ipods per user.  How can we share music  on one computer between 2 users?

    Hi Justinece, I've solved the problem in this way:
    In my wife user profile I've set in itunes settings/advanced the path to my music library: /Users/"MY NAME"/Music/iTunes/Itunes media.
    Than, from my wife profile using my administrator user and password I've set the "read/write" privileges on the above mentioned folder.
    Finally I've added the folder in my wife's library taking care to not duplicate it ( leave blank the flag in itunes setting/advanced).
    I really don't understand what's the use of home sharing...

  • Trying to access Lion server remote using multi-user access, but from a legacy Leopard system

    Just purchased a mini server running Lion, and got screen sharing working fine from my legacy system (32-bit so Leopard only). However, I would like to run in multi-user mode, so someone can use the Lion system and another person can access their own account, from the older Leopard system, at the same time. Using multi-user rather than screen sharing. But Leopard does not have the option on the Finder/Share Screen command, the pop-up window to select screen sharing or new virtual session. So, is there a way still to run a new virtual session from a remote client running Leopard?  Since the multi-user capability resides on the Lion server, it should be possible, but how, without the pop-up menu?

  • Access shared calendar and other users calendar

    Hi
    We have just finished migrating to Exchange 2013, but are having some issues regarding access to other resources like calendar and inbox.
    let me give you an example.
    1 user Outlook 2013 in cached mode. Cannot access another users calendar og indbox though the permissions are set correctly.
    Tries from OWA with same user and here she can access the calendar.
    Tries to use Outlook in non cached mode and here it Works.
    Has anybody a solution for this.
    Best regards

    I have tried the following
    Open Outlook
    Goto File >
    Account Settings > Account Settings
    Select your Exchange profile >
    Change > More Settings > Advanced
    tab
    Check Use Cached Exchange Mode (if not already checked)
    Uncheck

  • Set multi user column with PowerShell used to work in 2010 but no longer works in 2013

    In SharePoint 2010 I used PowerShell to set the value of multi user people columns and it worked really well.  I attempt to use the same PowerShell to set the same column type in SharePoint 2013 and it fails.
    here is the PowerShell that I use in 2010:
    $web = Get-SPWeb "http://intranet"
    $list = $web.lists["TestList"]
    $item = $list.items.add()
    $item["Title"] = "Test multi user column"
    $users = @("Domain\user1", "Domain\user2")
    $userList = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValueCollection
    foreach($user in $users)
    $spUser = $web.EnsureUser($user)
    $userValue = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValue($web, $spUser.ID, $spUser.Name)
    $userList.Add($userValue)
    $item["MultiUserColumn"] = $userList
    $item.update()
    I have used this on three SharePoint 2013 farms with differing results.  On two of them I receive an error when running $item.update(): Exception calling "Update" with "0" argument(s): "Invalid look-up value.  A look-up
    field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again."
    If I take one of the users out of the $users list then it works fine, but it will not allow multiple users to be set with PowerShell.  I can use the GUI to add more than one user but not PowerShell.
    Does anyone know if these methods have changed in 2013? I haven't been able to find anyone else with this issue.
    mmm... coffee...

    Not sure but maybe something to do with casting. Below is the code snippet from one of the blogs. Try modifying your script like below and see if still you get the error
    [Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValueCollection]$lotsofpeople = New-Object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValueCollection
    $user1 = $w.EnsureUser("domain\user1");
    $user1Value = New-Object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValue($w, $user1.Id, $user1.LoginName)
    $user2 = $w.EnsureUser("domain\user2");
    $user2Value = New-Object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFieldUserValue($w, $user2.Id, $user2.LoginName);
    $lotsofpeople.Add($user1Value);
    $lotsofpeople.Add($user2Value);
    $i["lotsofpeoplefield"] = $lotsofpeople;
    $i.Update();
    #-or-
    $l.Fields["lotsofpeoplefield"].ParseAndSetValue($i,$lotsofpeople);
    $i.Update();

  • 10.6.2 SMB - QB 2005 PC won't run in Multi User

    Hi there,
    This is a pretty specific issue but i'll throw this out anyway.
    I setup a brand new 10.6.2 server alongside our old 10.4.11 server.
    I cloned the contents of the "shared data" from the old box to the new one.
    We have had the SMB service running for Quickbooks 2005 running on 2 PCs (Xp Pro clients), shared via QB's "Multi User" mode.
    The new server's SMB share, identical in permissions etc to the old one, will not allow QB to open the file in Multi User mode. It gives an error to the effect of "Your company file has been damaged". My attempts to repair the QB file had no effect.
    If I copy the same company file back onto our old Tiger Server's SMB share, it works fine. I assume this is simply a difference in Samba versions, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot it.
    I obviously have a workaround for now, but it's less than ideal to have an entire Xserve on to share a Quickbooks file.
    Any insight would be appreciated.
