No red button to end a FaceTime call

Why isn't there sometimes a red button to end a FaceTime call?

I'm having similar issues.  The iPhone4's face time works just as it always did but the iPad4 is not working.  I can place a call but it won't connect, others can call and it rings but never connects.  I've signed in and out of iTunes, removed and reinstalled the wifi, hard restart, and anything I can think of.  It's driving me nuts!

  • XML Features/Buttons for End Users on Call Manager

I am specifically looking for an XML app or feature an End User can use to signal the receptionist they are either in or out. An XML in/out board if you will?

Arc Enterprise has a presence module that allows users to set their status via the phone or a web interface. The receptionist can then see their status before transferring a call.

  • Can't end Facetime calls

Since upgrading to iOS 8.1, I am no longer able to end a Facetime call on either of my two iPads.  The end call button no longer appears.  I must request the party on the other side of the call terminate the call.  I've toggled Facetime on and off and restarted both devices to attempt to resolve.  Neither has worked. Any thoughts or recommendations?

This situation is completely ridiculous. I have had this problem and I have been waiting them to fix it since iOS 8.0 or maybe even before that.
I cannot answer calls, I cannot finish calls, I cannot mute the microphone, put video on... Literally the Facetime app is just the crappiest app my iPad has.
I already restarted the iPad, restore the settings, did everything I could and the problem remains there. It is a software issue and no-one from Apple seems interested in solving it. I contacted Apple support and all they told me was to reset my settings again. Do you guys really think I will lose my time contacting technical support if the problem I had was so simple to solve? I am not one of those '...' people who buy apple stuff just to look cool, I have had this products since some years ago and I regret the way iOS has changed from a 'perfect' operative system where the things that crashed were third party apps to a point where the third party apps actually perform better than the integrated iOS apps.
I bought my parents and iPad, and they have the same problem. Sometimes I am the one who cannot answer calls, sometimes they are the ones who cannot answer the call.
Restarting the iPad SOMETIMES just fixes the issue for a couple days or even just hours.

  • People can't hear me on the other end when I make facetime calls from my Imac

People can't hear me on the other end when I make facetime calls from my IMAC

I had the same problem on my brand new iMac and Apple Care solved it for me. Very simple.
    1. Restart your computer
    2. As soon as you hear the chime, press the SHIFT button until you see the Apple logo, then release it. This will put your computer into safe mode. When your computer boots up to the home screen in safe mode, Facetime will NOT work. That's normal.
    3. After your computer finishes booting up to your home screen, restart it normally. That solved the problem for me.
Apple Care said that putting the computer into safe mode results in a diagnostics check that can fix certain problems. I hope this helps someone else.

  • How do I accept a FaceTime call when there isn't an accept button?

The first time I used FaceTime everything went fine. Now when I try to call the same person all I get is a soft ringing, I'm not sure if she gets the ringing or can just hear it over the phone line, but she doesn't get the accept bar on her screen either. Same thing happens when she calls me, no accept bar appears.

If you're having trouble using FaceTime, make sure the feature is turned on. Tap Settings on the Home screen and then tap FaceTime. Tap the On/Off button to turn it on or turn it Off and On.
You have to use the appropriate method for placing a FaceTime call, depending on the kind of device the person you're calling has. If you're calling an iPhone 4 user, you should use a phone number; if you're calling an iPad 2, an iPod touch, or a FaceTime for Mac user, you need to make the call using that person's e-mail address.
    Accepting a FaceTime call
If you're on the receiving end of a FaceTime call, accepting the call is about as easy as it gets. When the call comes in, just tap the Accept button to take the call or tap the Decline button to reject it.
If this is not working, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings.
Then keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your iPad screen.
I use Skype, because I think it is working better;  http://itunes.apple.com/app/skype-for-ipad/id442012681?alreadyRedirected=1&mt=8

  • Facetime opens when I end a phone call

    Hi.
I'm running iOS 7.1.2 on my iPhone 4.
Recently I noticed this strange behaviour. It does not happen with all phone calls, but it already happened twice since yesterday, I receive a phone call and once I hang up I'm sent to the iPhone's main screen with the green warning bar informing me to click there to return to my Facetime call. If I click I'm sent to the Facetime app.
But notice that I did not make a Facetime call, I received a standard phone call.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks.
    Pedro

When you're on a call with someone who is registered on FaceTime, there is a button to switch to to a FaceTime call. It's possible that you are accidentally activating FaceTime as you pull away and the proximity sensor reenables the display. I'm guessing that if you look at a pattern of when this happens, it's only with FaceTime users. Just a guess though.

  • Face time, click on Red Button(X) logs U out of Call, new behavior

Face time, click on leftmost Red Button(X) logs U out of Call, new behavior
In the past, if I clicked on leftmost Red Button(X), the conversation window would shrink, but you do not log out of the call.
    How to alter this behavior?
How to reprogram Face time buttons?

    Niraja,
You need to open the popup on click on the button and in the popup model access class you can use HTML controller to this conroller you need to pass the URL of the webDynpro application.
I have done exactly same thing before and will upload docuemnt to the wiki pages. Mean while you can explore further on the above idea.

  • Cannot use red button when calling a busy number o...

On my 5800, when I call someone, and it gives the characteristic sound and screen message that the number I have dialed is currently busy, the usual function of the red button suddenly fails. Its attributed function, as told on the screen, has apparently been turned into a "Dialer", which, when I click on it, gives the message "Not allowed" after a couple of seconds in 100% of cases. Therefore, I'd highly appreciate if the usual function of the red button would remain, that is, to quit everything and bring me back to the home screen right away so that I could do something else. As it is now, my 5800 wastes several seconds of my life everytime I call a busy number. So, how to avoid the red button failing when calling busy numbers?

Um, I'd like to inform you that from my experience, this is the same on ALL s60v5 phones. Its not a 5800 only thing. Plus, it wont change. Nokia's not gonna change it. They may change it for other phones but not the 5800. That phone's already past its lifespan in terms of updates.

  • TS3367 decline facetime call button greyed out

My daughter said she got a facetime call from someone she didn't know on her iPod touch. She had to ignore the call as the decline button was greayed out. Is this a bug? Also is there some way to manage privacy on facetime, e.g. only contacts can facetime her?

    Agree with Anthony.<o:p></o:p>
You can check that by initialing a audio meeting.Then check if the call button grays out.<o:p></o:p>

  • Could not disconnect from a FaceTime call on 5S running iOS8.0.2

Received a FaceTime call this morning. Caller was using an iPhone 5S running iOS7. I have a 5S running iOS8.0.2
Once complete neither of us could disconnect from the call. The usual "red button" was not operating. I finally powered off my phone and that forced the disconnect. Both phones now seem OK, but we have not used FaceTime since.
Additional: I was on a home WiFi at the time. Caller was on the Verizon Cell system (no WiFi at that end.)
    Anyone else have this problem?

  • My iPad Air always freezes during FaceTime calls using wifi. I switch to my iPhone 5c on the same wifi, and it never freezes while I'm sitting in the same location. Is there maybe a setting I have that is causes this? I am un to date on the OS also.

My iPad Air always freezes during FaceTime calls using wifi. I switch to my iPhone 5c on the same wifi, and it never freezes while I'm sitting in the same location. Is there maybe a setting I have that is causes this? I am up to date on the OS 7.1.1. Video and audio is froze on my end, only video freezes on the other end. It doesn't make a difference who makes the call either.

No, there isn't any setting that you are missing. Have you tried force closing FaceTime, and resetting your iPad?
In order to close FaceTime, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that does not make a difference, you could try resetting all settings, if you reset all settings you will have to enter all of the device preferences again in the settings app. That takes some time to accomplish, but you will not lose my data, media, apps or anything like that. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings.
If that doesn't help, the next step would be to restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad first, restore the iOS, then restore the backup.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

  • E50 Web Browser & Red Button behavior

Is there anyway to change the behavior of the Red Button (End Call) when in the web browser on the E50?
Currently, if the red button is accidentally hit it instantly closes the web browser and all typing and web pages are closed and lost. This happens often when trying to hit the C (Clear) Button to erase words or typing.
It would be much better to either prompt first with an "are you sure?" confirmation or a "push and hold" the red button to close the web browser application without confirmation.

For older, S60 2nd Edition based phones there's the "NoRedClose" app.
Perhaps you could request the developer to make an S60 3rd Edition version of it, too (if one is not available already).
