No rep output caused by incompatible frequency
Hi All,
I wanna to run another rep from a rep using srw.run_report. Here is my code :
function BetweenPage return boolean is
begin
IF pkg_var.v_loc_from = 'KL' THEN
IF pkg_var.v_loc_to = 'PTI' THEN
srw.run_report('report=ticket_thailand');
END IF;
END IF;
return (TRUE);
end;
The value of the pkg_var is referred to formula column which again refer to column retrieved from SQL.
I got this error : column 'cf_loc_from' references column 'loc_from', which has incompatible frequency.
Pls help
Thanks,
Shu Wen
Shu Wen,
The code that is causing the frequency error is the code that is accessing the formula column.
A reference to a data value from within a between pages trigger doesn't make
sense unless the data doesn't change any during the course of executing the report (in this case,
the destination is always the same for the entire report).
If this destination location data doesn't change across the execution of the report, it needs to be at the "report level",
e.g., in a user parameter, or a report level formula (a formula outside of any query). To set this value, you need
to run the query to get this value in pl/sql that executes only once; e.g., in the after parameter form trigger, or
or in the trigger for the report level formula column.
If the destination changes (the query returns multiple rows) and depending upon which destination you are currently
processing, you want to execute a second report, then you need to move this logic from the between pages trigger to
a format trigger for a field that is displaying the data, or alternatively to the formula column itself.
Hope this helps....

Stewart

2 analog output channels with different frequencies
Hi,
hope that somebody can help me:
I created two physical tasks, analog output channels.
I should give signals (triangle signals) to a scanner. The problem ist that I need these triangle signals with two different frequencies.
I can create the signal with each of the task, but not together. Can I solve this problem somehow?
Ah, and of course the 2 tasks should start together...
Thanks for your help!!
TellyYou didn't mention the type of device you're using, so I'll assume it's a standard MIO. A typical MIO only has one AO timing engine, so you'll have to create one task for both channels and use a single update rate for the task. You will have to make the output frequencies different by passing different data for both channels.
For example, let's say your update rate is 1KHz. The data for channel 0 is 1000 data points of a single cycle of a triangle wave. The data for channel 1 is 1000 data point of two cycles of a triangle wave. When you run the task, you will get a 1Hz triangle wave on channel 0 and a 2Hz triangle wave on channel 1.
Good luck,

How to switch analog output between two waveform frequencies
Hello,
I'm using a fairly simple VI to generate a square wave at our analog output board. I have the square wave controls in one panel of a sequence structure, and a "release" function in the other panel of the sequence. Currently the VI is programmed to switch from the original square wave to -10V when the Boolean control is switched.
What I'd like to do now is to modify the VI so that I can swtich between a square wave of a given frequency, say 100 kHz, to a square wave of a different frequency, say 10 kHz, or to DC -10V. But I'd like to be able to vary each frequency and amplitude independently.
Could anyone give me some programming pointers?
Thanks,
MichelleThanks to the three of you for the suggestions. I started trying a few of them, and then realized that what I had already built will work pretty well to update the frequency. I didn't realize that it would update the waveform in "run" mode -- I thought it would only do that in "run continuously" -- so I've found that I can change the frequency of the waveform by doing that. This doesn't allow me to change the frequency and the amplitude simultaneously, but I'm not sure yet whether or not I will need to do that -- I so will probably go ahead with the experiments I need to do with this set-up, then modify it if I find that I need to control both frequency and amplitude simultaneously.
Thanks for your help!

How to equalize an analog output by a known frequency response?
I'd like the analog output of my system have a flat response. What I'm going to do is first measure the stimulus signal, then using a filter to compensate the frequency response to make the following output signal flat. The difficulty is how to build a filter according to the frequency response. I know it's easy to do by using digital filter design of signal processing toolkit. But I need to do it by LabVIEW and the response is changed frequently. Any suggestions?
BillThe filter does the signal "adjusting." Filters are typically characterized in the frequency domain, but the work on the signal fed them, which usually occurs sequentially in time. The lookup table is just to select the appropriate filter so you do not have to do a lot of calculations at run time. As an example, suppose you have just treble and bass and only one cut and one boost setting for each. You measure the stimulus and find the bass is too high and the treble too low. You select the bass cut and the treble boost filters for this run. If this is expanded to octave (or third octave) filters and 16 gain/attenuation settings in each band the lookup table approach saves time and may also provide a compact means of recording the equalization settings with your test data (rather than filter coefficients which do not actually indicate the response without characterizing the filter).

Can the NI 4350 card output a continuous digital frequency?
I am trying to send various frequencies of 0's and 1's through the digital lines using the NI 4350 (USB) but do not know if this is possible. Currently this is done via the printer port to control the speed of a stirrer but slows the computer down. I was wondering if this card can produce a continous pulse or has a buffer which can output a continuous frequency until a new fequency is specified.
Any ideas would be great. ThanksThe digital lines on the 4350 are capable of static or digital operation only and the speed depends on the software and operating system. You may want to consider either a counter/timer device or a 653x high speed digital device for pulse train generation.

Bridge CS4 attempt to Refresh Preview or Save output causes crash in Mac OS 10.8.2
Ever since installing Mountain Lion, I can no longer create contact sheets in Adobe Bridge CS4, which I was always able to do before installing ML. As soon as I press "Refresh Preview," or just try to SAVE the Output (PDF) without refreshing the preview, Bridge crashes with the report below. This is on a MacPro 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 20 MB RAM, OS 10.8.2. Ideas gratefully accepted!

Running a bit out of options I'm afraid.
To be absolutely sure, you also did the 2.1 update for the Output Module:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4229
Not sure the link works, sometimes they are country specific but otherwise check the downloads at Adobe.com
Did you try it in a new user account just for testing. Sometimes check and repair permissions using Apple Disk Utility (or 3th party like Cocktail) will also help.
And finally I should point you to the fact that due to a new upgrade policy from Adobe you have until 31 december this year to profit from the upgrade price for PS CS6, after the 1st of january 2013 you will have to pay the full license price for CS6. -
Video output via cable - incompatible with video p...
I find that although video output via cable from the Nokia 6220 classic (and I presume other Nokia phones) works fine with TV sets, I haven't found a single video projector that accepts the output and is able to project it. The projectors typically search their video inputs and should recognise the composite video input, but instead they just keep searching and are never able to recognise or project the video.
Is there something unusual about the video signal output from it so as not to be accepted as composite video by video projectors?iphone4 and composite and component cable don't support mirror so they
only display images when an supported app is being used like youtube or the video app and the likes
use both the composite and the component cable with my iphone4 on 5.1 and both works fine
so do my ipod touch with 5.1 and ipad2 with 5.1 -
Selection of template in Output causes paper size to reset to International
I am trying to use the Output module for the first time in Bridge CS4 (3.0.0.464). I am trying to print some photos.
I have selected Document > Page Preset > US Paper, and my template changes to "Custom". If I try to select another template, my Page Preset switches back to International A4.
How can I use templates and still use US Paper? Is this a bug/problem or am I doing it wrong?
I can use the Layout to change the number across and down. This is working.
Thanks,

i3 will then use the lowest common subset of screen resolutions, the rest of your screen will be left untouched (it will show the X background). So, in our example, this would be 1024x768 (my notebook has 1280x800).
Looks like it is meant to be that way described in the userguide. -
After Effects Audio Output Causes Render To Hang Then "Output Module Failed"
So I have been working on this video for a few weeks now, no special effects just 3D layers and text.
I had set it to render Thursday afternoon and it finished Friday night after I left work.
So today I came into work played the video and I realized I didn't render the audio. (NICE!)
So I reset the render que (didnt change anything but render audio settings) and the render
doesn't even start, it just stays at "Stage: Compressing and Writing" for a few minutes then gives me
the good ole' output module has failed.
Ive already restarted AE, and my comp, I also purged the memory.
Im running windows 7 (64 bit) with 8gb RAM and Intel Core i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10ghz
It is definitely the audio output, I tried rendering without it and it started up just fine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.just updated to 11.0.2 and still nothing
I click Render and it just says rendering but nothing changes
not even time elapsed or est. remaining
just stays on compressing and writing and my ram used doesnt even start going up -
Very low frequency caused by sample frequency in FFT analog input?
I'm measuring a very low frequency on my analog input, this frequency is in connection with the sample frequency of the Analog Input. At a sample frequency of 1000Hz I see a frequency of 0,05Hz in my FFT, at a sample frequency of 500Hz I see a frequency of 0,02Hz.
Attached is a screenshot of an example how I see this very low frequency.
My hardware: NI USB 6008 --> measuring on AI-0 (in this example the input is unwired). But in my real measurement I see the same FFT + signals I want to see (about 2 Hz).
In my real measurement I windowed the FFT (1-3Hz) so I see only the FFT I want to see. But I suspect that my complete signal moves along with this very low frequency of 0,05Hz. I saw this in my measerement.
What did I do wrong?
Attachments:
screenshot.JPG 66 KBFirst, do you live in Europe? If so, that 50Hz could be power-line pick up.
Antialias filtering must be done in hardware before the DAQ. Because of the way aliasing works if you have sampled the signal it's already too late, you're hosed and no amount of digital filtering can remove the aliased signal. In terms of filter specifications, the filter cutoff needs to be at twice the highest frequency you are interested in seeing. For example, if you are looking for signals in the 2- to 5-Hz range, your antialiasing filter should cutoff at around 10Hz.
Obviously good signal management is also needed: shielding, appropriate signal termination, proper lead dress and spacing from known noise sources, etc...

Hi ,
I have to create formula columns in my report . I have created group on ff_code
other fields are
lastname, firstname, ssn,
APPOINTMENT_DATE, ASSESSMENT_DATE,
INFORMATION_RECIEVED_DATE, START_DATE
formulas Columns
Asses to Staff -- not to display on report
Info to staff -- not to display on report
Timetaken -- Display on report
the formulas are
ASSESSMNET
(APPOINTMENT_DATE) - (ASSESSMENT_DATE)
I tried creating formula column for this
but when I run the report it gives REp-1517: "column names" incompatible frequency
SAFFING
(APPOINTMENT_DATE) - (INFORMATION_RECIEVED_DATE)
TimeTAKEN
if (@aSSESSMNET) > (@sTAFFING) then (@sTAFFING) else(@aSSESSMNET)
hOW DO I DO THIS PLEASE HELP
Thank in advance
KKlooks like you are trying to display your formula column value in a frame different from the one which is used by the basic values (i.e. apointment_date and assessment_date).
Anyway, I found it much easier to do these calculation already in the query part, so I don't have to bother much less with those formulas, placeholders, etc.
hope your shift key recovered. -
How can I output frequency readings of my signals using FFT?
Hi there, I need help in regard to the topic stated.
Currently I have accquired a sine wave with frequency that vary, using one of the accquistion card by NI. I had converted it to a digital signal so that labview can read it. Now, I will like labview to output the measurement of the frequency.
For example : sine wave of 5KHZ is accquire , labview will use FFT to convert time domain to frequency domain, and then output the frequency of the sine wave, in the case, 5KHZ.
What function block should I be using? I had explored the function blocks of all FFT. Most of them output either real FFT, complex FFT, magniture or phase. But none of them output the reading of the frequency.
Maybe I had missed out some function block, so how do I go about output a frequency reading after using FFT?
Thanks a lot in advance. After Converting your signal from time domain to frequency domain, u cant expect there is only one frequency component, they should have different frequency components according to your input signal.Use extract single tone information to get the output reading of the frequency.

How to programatically very the PWM output frequency in 7344, to the desired value
Hi
I can use the PWM output only for the frequencies that is specified like 40Khz or 20KHz. I require to set the PWM frequency programatically to the desired value at a aduty cycle of 50%. How to implement this. What exactly do you need the PWM oututs for? Are you using a motion drive that requires a PWM command? The controller itself does not allow you to use the PWM ouputs to change the frequency on the fly. You might want to go to a DAQ board of Fielpoint moduel for this functionality.l

Frequency output on a PCI-6602
I was wondering if there is a frequency output port on the PCI-6602. If so, how can I use it?
Hello,
I am not positive of what you mean by a 'frequency output port,' so you will have to forgive me if this response is a little off target.
The 6602 consists of 8 up/down 32-bit counters. Each of these counters has an output line that can be used to output pulse trains at frequencies that you specify. Furthermore, you can also configure your counters to perform frequency measurement.
If you are referring to something similar to the FREQ_OUT pin that exists on our E Series boards, the 6602 does not possess this type of output pin. Instead, you would need to use the standard counters on the 6602.
I hope this helps!

How to Define Specific CPU Frequency in Laptop Mode Tools?
I would like to know how to set a specific maximum and minimum frequency for Laptop Mode Tools. Here is my /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/cpufreq.conf:
# Configuration file for Laptop Mode Tools module cpufreq.
# For more information, consult the laptop-mode.conf(8) manual page.
# CPU frequency scaling and throttling
#__COMMENT Laptop mode tools can automatically adjust your kernel CPU frequency
#__COMMENT settings. This includes upper and lower limits and scaling governors.
#__COMMENT There is also support for CPU throttling, on systems that don't support
#__COMMENT frequency scaling.
#__COMMENT
#__COMMENT This feature only works on 2.6 kernels.
#__COMMENT
#__COMMENT
#__COMMENT IMPORTANT: In versions 1.36 and earlier, these settings were included in the
#__COMMENT main laptop-mode.conf configuration file. If they are still present, they
#__COMMENT overrule the settings in this file. To fix this, simply delete the settings
#__COMMENT from the main config file.

I have a new Intel Haswell CPU, so I know that CPU throttling isn't applicable to me. In the section about scaling, how do I set a specific GHz or MHz value for the minimum and maximum CPU?
ThanksNo, I just want to save battery power. I don't want the CPU to be clocked as high when I'm on battery. I would set the CPUFreq governor to ondemand, but when I issue sudo cpupower frequency-set -g ondemand, I get:
Setting cpu: 0
Error setting new values. Common errors:
- Do you have proper administration rights? (super-user?)
- Is the governor you requested available and modprobed?
- Trying to set an invalid policy?
- Trying to set a specific frequency, but userspace governor is not available,
for example because of hardware which cannot be set to a specific frequency
or because the userspace governor isn't loaded?
The output of ls /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/cpufreq/ is:
acpi-cpufreq.ko.gz cpufreq_stats.ko.gz powernow-k8.ko.gz
amd_freq_sensitivity.ko.gz cpufreq_userspace.ko.gz speedstep-lib.ko.gz
cpufreq_conservative.ko.gz p4-clockmod.ko.gz
cpufreq_powersave.ko.gz pcc-cpufreq.ko.gz
Doing modprobe cpufreq_ondemand and trying again does nothing.
So, since I can't use the ondemand governor and then raise the threshold, I need to limit the CPU frequency.
Thanks.
