This would explain the lack of a response. I would try again without clicking on any kind of box.
FYI: Time Machine backs up only the Mac OSX partition and not the BootCamp partition. Emulators such as Parallels and VM Fusion are Mac OSX programs and are included in the Time Machine.
To do a SP update to a Windows OS you have to apply it directly.

If you have the mail account set up, that you want your reply to come from, you can just use that account to send your mail from, so the "From" field shows the account you want, and any replies go to that account. I assume you're getting your "sensitive" mail on your phone, either copied to me.com address, or popped to there, whatever, but let me know if this is not correct.
For example, if you receive an email from someone, and it's sitting in your me.com inbox:
1. tap the Reply button to bring up a reply email
2. tap the "cc/Bcc, From:" field, which will now separate into separate cc, bcc, and from fields
3. tap the "From" address (prefilled with your me.com address), which brings up a scroller to pick which account you want to send from.
4. pick the account you want to send from.
Is this not what you want to do?

    I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
    In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail.

  • Blackberry 8310 not showing reply or send in sms text options menu

    I have a blackberry 8310. iam able to recieve sms text messages but when i click to on options, there is no "reply" option in the menu for me to be able to reply to the text. The chip works fine in other phones so that tells me something in the phone is not set right. There is no option for me to even compose and fresh sms text message. Please help?

    Here ya' go:
    1. Get a good backup of your device: BB device backup (I keep all my backups in a separate folder created for that purpose so they are always in one place and easy to find.)
    2. Download the most recent version of device software for your carrier: Downloading BB device software
    3. Reinstall the device software: Clean reload of device software
    4. Pull the battery out with the device ON. Wait about a minute and put the battery back in. Let the BB completely restart.
    5. Once you have the device OS successfully installed you will then need to reinstall any 3rd party apps you currently have on your device: Install applications using the app loader tool
    6. Complete another battery pull routine after each 3rd party app installation to reclaim memory and refresh your BB.

  • Multiple devices, one email - how can I see from iPad if I've replied from iPhone.

    Hi, I use both my iPhone and iPad to access my email. When I reply to a message on a device, I get an icon on the email on that device showing that I've replied. However, when I access the same email account from the other device, I don't see a replied icon. Any way I can get the replies synching so that I van see if I've replied across multiple devices?
    (Particularly useful since my wife and I share one of the emails we access so useful to see if the other one of us has replied)

  • How can I get the e-mail address (reply addr.) once connected to a server

    My application ask the user to enter the POP3 server host name (+ port) more the

    You are of course trying to get an email address in the format of [email protected] You already have "username" the trick is the somedomain.com. I don't believe that the pop3 server has anyway to tell you this. Unless your host name is "fully qualified", i.e. pop3.somedomain.com, I don't know that you can get this information. Maybe you could take the IP address and do a reverse DNS lookup? Still you wouldn't really know if that is the domain the user really wants. For example I retrieve and send my email from aaa.com, but my domain for my reply-to is bbb.com. Your goal is noble, but perhaps not practical. That is why Outlook Express requires the user to enter their email address when setting up an account. Hope this helps.

    I did see that others have this problem and you answered that it's not possible. Can you create an update that will allow this? If not, is there a workaround? When composing or replying to an email, we often need to consult other email or the Thunderbird calendar, and this is annoyingly difficult at the moment, but would be very easy if there was an option to "compose" or "reply" in another tab!

    As far as I know, compose always opens in a new window. I have never seen any way to change that (nor would I want to).

    What's the point in creating a system where you can't see who has replied to the thread? Its absolutely F**CKING pointless? Does anyone at Adobe have any brains or are they all sitting with their heads up their backsides?

    The line below is not that necessary in the order of priority, which for all intense and purposes is quite useless. I don't really care about how long ago something was posted or where it was posted but an indication to show 'updated' posts and by who is vital.

    Why do we even need 'Dreamweaver support forum'. We already know that's where we are! I guess a selection of posts from other forums may appear in a 'general' postings list somewhere, but who really cares - if I'm asking a question related to DW that's the forum I'm going to, not a general list as I don't care a monkey knackers what's been posted in Fireworks or InDesign or Illustrator. If I did I'd go to those forums.
    If you are tracking several postings it is going to become hugely annoying for both the person who has asked the question and the people helping the original poster as many replies will potentially go unnoticed and not resolved.
    And what's with the silly horizontal scroll bar being created for long lines of text? That's annoying too.
    Plenty of teething issue you need to get your head around over the next few weeks.

  • I am usually unable to reply to or write new emails using Firefox & would like to know why and what can be done about it?

    When I hit reply, to respond to an email, the recipient's address box is blank, as is the subject box and the message box, which won't even accept the cursor. The whole window freezes up and I have to get out of Firefox to be able to do anything at all.

    Because it isn't compatible with my computer's OS ... (mac 10.4)

  • Windows Phone and Windows 8 Mail App not sending email from Reply/Forward

    I have recently upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1. After a successful upgrade I configured the Windows 8 Mail app to also sync with Exchange (2010 in house server). On my Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 800) I have the same account configured.
    This resulted in the problem that the Mail App and the phone do not want to send any emails that have been created by reply or forward.
    The phone gives the following error:
    "We weren't able to send this message, so we've put it in your Drafts folder. Before you try sending it again, you can check to see if the address is correct and that no attachments are too large."
    The Mail App give the following error:
    "There's a problem with sending messages from [email protected] at the moment. Check with your provider for more info."
    If I create a new email there is no problem.
    I have searched all over the internet for a solution to this problem, but could not find somebody with exactly the same problem.

    I have exactly the same problem, but unfortunately no solution either... I'll be watching this thread, or post a solution if I find one...

  • Can not find "Reply-To" Info in incoming mail

    Hi guys,
    searched google and here to no avail:
    I recently received an email from a person who replied through a web form. The "From" address was "[email protected]" but there was a "Reply-To:" field in the headers I received that had the guy's personal e-mail address.
    I saw this Reply-To info on my desktop machine using Mail.app on OS X 10.6.1.
    The mail had been sent to me at Mac.com and forwarded to me at Gmail where I aggregate all my incoming email.
    BUT... when I went to reply to him from my iPhone later in the day, there was no sign of the Reply-To information, anywhere.
    Am I overlooking documentation explaining this, a setting, or location for this data, or is this a BIG flaw in the iPhone Mail app??

  • Cannot send/reply email on Mac and iPhone

    SOMETIMES I cannot send or reply emails on my Mac, not all the time though. Went to Apple Store where a Genius helped me reset my mail app but turning it off and back on again, it worked there and then but when I got home, I'm still getting the below same message when I try to send or reply sometimes:
    "Connections to the server "p08-smtp.mail.me.com" on the default ports times out.
    Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Layer to leave the message in your Outbox until if can be sent."
    This happens on my iPhone as well. Sometimes when I reply to someone's email it'd just sit in the Outbox for more then a day despite numerous attempts to resend. In the end I could only delete it from Outbox and send a new one again. I tried to find answers online without luck, can someone please help?
    Note that if I send/reply on iCloud website, everything works perfectly!

    Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts?  If so:
    1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
    2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane.  This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.

  • Wrong reply-to address sent from iPhone mail  after moving to iCloud

    I had this strange experience that shortly after moving to iCloud, one of my email accounts got mixed up with the reply to address.
    I use both accounts:
    - [email protected]
    - [email protected]
    When I reply to a message received in my xs4all account and send a reply (visually is in the mail the field From: [email protected]), the receiver will get a mail with reply address [email protected]
    So I noticed that all replies were sent to my gmail account.
    Has anyone else the same?

    Try SETTINGS, ICLOUD, click ACCOUNT field and scroll down to MAIL.  Click on MAIL field.  Here you can click on EMAIL field and a new screen of choices for default account comes up.  Choose your default account here.  Go back a page and you see ALLOW SENDING FROM and a list of allowed addresses to pick.  Choose all of the ones you'd like to be able to use.  HOPE THAT HELPS YOU.  Click DONE when you finish.  Tami

  • Creative Cloud problem - no support reply in two weeks!

    This is the worst support I've ever come across. We've had no contact from anyone at Adobe apart from a general email 5 days ago. Yesterday we called and was passed around support depts for over an hour with no resolution.
    The email we got a week ago advised to upload a copy of our sync files so they can be checked but the Adobe attach file does not accept .log files. We were then advised to go to an FTP site and upload the .zip folder but the FTP site does not exist!
    Following the phone call yesterday Adobe guaranteed we would receive an expert support call with-in two hours. Guess what - nobody called.
    We've had enough and wanted to cancel creative cloud because it does not provide a service as advertised. We were advised we can not cancel for 1 year.
    Lets see if anyone at Adobe will comment/help this time around.

    Design team working with the cloud for the first time need help. All 112 page magazine indesign/photoshop files and 90% of the magazine content and images (separate folder) deleted from the cloud and the local MAC folders. The remaining 10% word/pages docs have been converted to .jpg.
    It seemed to happen when a new license was accepted by a freelance designer. We had a support guy from Adobe remote desktop into the MAC yesterday but he could't work out what was wrong. He's passed it onto an expert who will be in contact with-in 72 hours? It's a good job we had only spent one full day designing and not a day before going to print. It's possible one MAC was uploading to the contents folder/syncing with the cloud whilst the freelance designer MAC was syncing/downloading around 1GB of files. Perhaps it was overloaded? But where are the files, and why delete anything without asking?
    1.6Gb out of 100GB allowance used! The Archive only has the content and images folder with around 90% deleted. This is around 528MB. Where have our files gone?
    Thankfully we did make a back-up yesterday.
