No result in the FlightList table

Hi, All
I try to use RFC function in web dynpro. The RFC function is ABAP function from other R/3 system. I did the FlightList example. Now I had already configureed the SLD and JCO, and the JCO was tested successful. When i  run the webdynpro project, the views was appeared. But when i click the Search Button, there was no result. The list table was empty.
Who can tell how to deal with it.
Thanks a million.

Hi Sally,
Yes, you need to add code in the onActionSearch method. That is your event handler for the search button and the actual RFC call to the get_flightlist API should be made there. You need to read the context that has the input for carrid, connid etc and pass these values to your RFC call. This will return an internal table, which needs to be bound to the context node using bind_table or bind_elements.

Nithya

  • Compare two results from the same table

    i have two results from the same table that i would like to compare. below is my query and the results i want to compare
    SELECT tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID, tblItem.ItemID, tblItem.PartNum, tblItem.ItemName, tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum AS [Mfg Part#], tblItemRoutingBOM.Quantity
    FROM tblItemRouting
    INNER JOIN tblItemRoutingBOM ON tblItemRouting.ItemRoutingID = tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRoutingID
    INNER JOIN tblItem ON tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemID = tblItem.ItemID
    WHERE tblItemRoutingBOM.ItemRevID in (61,70)
    as you can see i am returning two records using the where clause
    ItemRevID, ItemID, PartNum, ItemName, Manufacturer, Mfg Part#, Quantity
    61,121,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,,1
    70,121,331503,.233 Aluminum Sheet,,3
    now what i am looking for is to combine these two together into one row with the following added.  two columns for each QTY, QTY1 = 1 and QTY2 = 3 with a third column added that is the difference between the two QTY Diff = 2
    Any thoughts?

    Here are the two statements that i want to combine, results for each are attached
    SELECT tblItem.ItemID, Sum(tblItemRoutingBOM.Quantity) AS SumOfQuantity, tblItem.PartNum AS [Part #],
    tblItem.ItemName, tblManufacturer.ManufacturerName AS Manufacturer, tblItem.ManufacturerPartNum AS [Mfg Part#]

    my returned result should combine above with two extra columns (two extra columns because i have two results to combine)
    114, 11, 33, 22, 55002, Pepsi Blue Cap, NULL,

    Columns go as such, ID, QTY1 (for 61), QTY2 (for 70), Diff (QTY1-QTY2), PartNum, ItemName, Mfg, Mfg Part#
    IF the results from one of those two are empty then i would see something like this
    114, 11, 0, 11, 55002, Pepsi Blue Cap, NULL,
    117, 5, 0, 5, 331501, Marigold Yellow For ABS, NULL

  • How to execute query to store the result in the target table column ?

    Hi
    Source: Oracle
    Target: Oracle
    ODI: 11g
    I have an interface which loads the data from source table to target. Some of the columns in the target tables are automatically mapped with source table. Some of the column remain un-mapped. Those who remain un-mapped, I want to load the values in that column by executing an query. So can anybody tell me where I should mention that query whose result would become the value of the specific column.
    -Thanks,
    Shrinivas

    Actually I select the column from the target table then in the Property Inspector-->Mapping properties-->Implementation
    tab I have written the query which retrieve the value for that column. Is the right place to write the query? How can do this ?

    Hello Anybody, I have a question. Can any of you please suggest me how to make an xml file from the database table with all the records?
    Note:- I am having the XSD Schema file and the resulted XML file should be in that XSD format only.

    The Oracle documentation has a good overview of the options available
    Generating XML Data from the Database
    Without knowing your version, I just picked 11.2, so you made need to look for that chapter in the documentation for your version to find applicable information.
    You can also find some information in XML DB FAQ

  • Loading the different result sets in the same sequence for the target table

    Dear all,
    I have 5 tables say A,B,C,D as my source and i made 3 joins P,Q,R .the result sets of these 3 joins are loading into a target table X but with 3 different targets with same table name.
    I created one sequence say Y as my target table has primary key and mapped to three different targets for the same target table which i need to load.
    But after deployed and executed successfully ,i am able to load the data from three join result sets with differeent sequence numbers.
    I am looking to load data like this.
    If First Result set P has 10 Records,SEcond Result Set Q Has 20 and the third result set has 30 records then while loading data into first target it creates the seq for the 10 records from 1..10 and while loading the data for second result set ,it creates the sequence from 11 ...20 and while loading the third target with the third result set it creates the sequence from 21 ----30.
    But i am looking to load the three result sets in the sequence 1to 10 but not like creating fresh sequence for each result set.
    how can we achieve this in owb?
    any solution for this will be appreciated.
    thank you
    kumar

    My design is like following
    SRC1
    ---->Join1--------------------------->Target1( Table X)<-----Seq1
    SRC2
    SRC3
    ----> Join2----------->Target2(Table X)<----Seq1
    SRC4
    -----> Join3 -------> Target3(Table X)<-----Seq1
    SRC5
    Here the three 3 targets are for the same Table X as well sequence is same i.e seq1
    If the First Join has 10 rows ,Seq1 generates sequence in 1 to 10 while loading target1
    But while loading second target,Same Seq1 is generating new sequence from 11 but i am looking to load target2 and target 3 starting from sequence 1 but not from 11 or so.
    As per your comments :
    you want to load 3 sources to one target with same sequence numbers?
    yes
    Are you doing match from the other two sources on first source by id provided by sequence (since this is the primary key of the table)?
    No
    can you please tell me how to approach for this?
    Thank You
    Kumar

  • SSIS question - Email the results of the table in pipe delimited format to the users

    I am new to SSIS and I have a requirement.  I have a sales table that has transactions for all months.  I am trying to automate the process which involves following steps:
    I need to query the table based on previous month.
    Email the results of the table in pipe delimited format to the users.
    What I am currently doing:
    I created a temp table and load the query results in it every month by truncating the previous month’s data.  Saved the query results in excel format. Open the excel and save it in csv format. Use SSIS package to convert csv to txt format and email
    them manually with the txt file name as “Salesresults_<previousmonth>.
    I just want to automate this process but the main challenge comes up with email with txt attached. Please help me out.

    First create a SSIS variable(@[User::Path]) that store folder path as "C:\Test".
    Select the "Expression" tab in Send Mail Task Editor and select the appropriate property(FileAttachments) and assign the below expression.
    @[User::Path] + "\\Salesresults_" + (DT_WSTR, 10) MONTH( GETDATE() ) + (DT_WSTR, 10) YEAR( GETDATE() ) + ".txt"

  • Show results from the database to html tables?

    Hi,
    I am a PHP programmer and did a successful CMS program for a company. Now I have another project which is a web based system.
    I basically know how to do it and finish it in PHP.. but I am trying to do it using J2EE.. I am trying to learn J2EE now since I have been programming
    on J2SE for quite sometime..
    I am trying to show the results from a MySQL database on a table on J2EE but I am having hard time doing that. I am trying to research online and reading books but with no luck I can't find any resources on how to do that..If you guys can lead me into a resource where I can read how to do it? or just give any ideas on how to do it correctly I'll try to read and learn I will very much appreciate it.. here's my coding please look at it. Thank you very much
    I want to make it like this in a html table:
    userid username activated task
    1 alvin y delete(this will be a link to delete the user)
    Right now this is what I was able to do so far:
    Userid username activated task
    1
    alvin
    y
    Here are my codes... I am not even sure if I am doing it in the correct way...
    User.java
    mport java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.sql.Statement;

    while(rs.next())
    String userid = rs.getString("user_id");
    String usernames = rs.getString("user_name");
    String password= rs.getString("password");
    String activated= rs.getString("activated");
    names.add(userid);
    names.add(usernames);

    out.print("userid");
    out.print("</th>");
    out.print("<th>");

    while(it.hasNext()){
    out.print("<tr><td> " + it.next()+"</td></tr>");
    out.print("</table>");
    %>
    </body>
    </html>

    I suggest:
    1: you use this:
    e.printStackTrace()
    instead of this:
    System.out.print(e);
    so it will tell you what line it crashed on.
    2: In the code below,here is how you mix coding html tags and java scriptlets
    (you should never have to use out.print()):. In a later project, you can learn how to use JSTL
    instead of java scriplets (I suggest using java scriptlets for now until you have more JSP experience).
    FROM:
    <html>
    <%
    //some java code goes here
    out.print("<th>");
    //some more java code goes here
    out.print("<tr>");
    %>
    TO:
    <html>
    <% //some java code goes here%>
    <th>
    <%//some more java code goes here%>
    <tr>
    3: Put a lot of System.println() statements in your *.java classes to verify what its doing (you can learn how to use a debugger later).
    4: I highly recommend reading a book on JSP/servlets cover to cover.
    Here's a simple MVC design approach I previously posted:

  • How can I find a data base table containing a GUID, which is result of the macro's execution?

    Hello,
    please help me to understand how the macros work. I am facing database inconsistency. The CRM-system retrieves a GUID of an opportunity’s item and checks its existence. However, this GUID (here it is es_info-ref_object) does not exist. As result, an exception is triggered.
    I am trying to figure out which data base table is responsible for the inconsistent data. Instead of SELECT statement, I see in the debugger that a macro retrieves the “guilty” entry .
    macro_execute macro_msg_data_read_rea.
    My Question: How can I find a data base table containing a GUID, which is result of the macro’s execution?
    Thanks a lot

    When you save a PDF out of Distiller it doesn't just have different options, it's an entirely different program. It doesn't do things the same way, so it can't have the same options. Saving from Distiller is in many ways better, expecially in that transparency isn't flattened.
    What specific options are you looking for?

    Data Dictionary table user_tab_columns has all the column names. You can query that and get what ever you want.
    To get the column list of a table just query
    select *
      from user_tab_columns
    where table_name = <your_table>Edited by: Karthick_Arp on Oct 14, 2008 12:18 AM

  • After generating a table into xml how can i save the result in a XML table?

    Hello everyone,
    I’ve used this function to generate a table into XML schema :
    example :

  • Writing PS Queries against the PS_JOB table results in runaways

    When we use PS query to write a query against the PS_JOB table it adds in joins to security tables that causes the query to become a runaway. Has anyone else noticed this?
    Has anyone found a workaround ?
    Using HCM 9.0 with Oracle DB
    Edited by: allenc on Feb 10, 2011 10:42 AM

    Are all of your users having the problem or just the power users?
    How many active/total job rows do you have?
    We have about 20,000 active job rows and 750,000 total job rows. Our departmental clerks don't have any problems going against job data but the power users have issues. We cloned the job record as a view. Then we removed the query security from our view and added this record to the query tree that only the power users had access to. That fixed our problems.

  • Is it possible to filter the nested table result set of table column

    Hi
    Create or replace type address_record
    as object
    ( address_no number,
    address_name varchar2,
    address_startDate date,
    address_expiryDate date
    create or replace type address_rec_tab
    as table of address_record;
    Create table employee
    (emp_no number,
    emp_name varchar2,
    adresses address_rec_tab
    1st approach
    ==========
    <pre>
    select
    emp.emp_no,
    emp.emp_name,
    emp.addresses
    from employee emp,
    table(*emp.addresses*) add
    where add.address_expiryDate >=sysdate
    </pre>
    In the above example my SQL query address collection object is not returning filtered or current address list.
    I suppose this is due to fact taht my where clause is not attached to the nested table.
    Through my reading I gather that I can only use the following query to filter the address collection.
    2nd approach
    ==========
    <pre>
    select
    emp.emp_no,
    emp.emp_name
    cursor(select address_no,
    address_name,
    address_startDate,
    address_expiryDate
    from employee emp,
    table (*emp.addresses*) add
    where add.address_expiry_date >=sysdate)
    from employee emp,
    table (*emp.addresses*) add
    where add.address_expiry_date >=sysdate) -- probably this redundent
    </pre>
    But this approch forces me to rebuild addresses collection object.
    I was wondering anybody can suggest me a way so that 1st approach works? I do not have to rebuild collection object in this way.
    Thanks for your help in advance
    Regards
    Charan

    Create statements have been slightly modified;
    Create or replace type address_record as object
    ( address_no          number,
      address_name        varchar2(20),
      address_startDate   date,
      address_expiryDate  date
    create or replace type address_rec_tab as table of address_record;
    Create table employee
    (emp_no number,
    emp_name varchar2(20),
    add_list address_rec_tab
    nested table add_list store as a_list
    insert into employee values (1, 'KMCHARAN', address_rec_tab ( address_record(1, 'NORTH POLE', trunc(sysdate-1), trunc(sysdate+10) ) ,

    The fact that you are getting an "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied" message indicates that you are at least talking to the database.
    The log shows that username "infdomain" is being used. Can you double check the username and password you have in DAC in a SQL*Plus/SQL Developer session?

  • Data of column datatype CLOB is moved to other columns of the same table

    Hi all,
    I have an issue with the tables having a CLOB datatype field.
    When executing a simple query on a table with a column of type CLOB it returns error [POL-2403] value too large for column.
    SQL> desc od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    Name Null? Type
    OD_STOCKID N NUMBER
    NBC_SERVICETYPE N VARCHAR(40)
    LANGUAGECODE N VARCHAR(8)
    AU_USERIDINS Y NUMBER
    INSERTDATE Y DATE
    AU_USERIDUPD Y NUMBER
    MODIFYDATE Y DATE
    VERSION Y SMALLINT(4)
    DBUSERINS Y VARCHAR(120)
    DBUSERUPD Y VARCHAR(120)
    TEXT Y CLOB(2000000000)
    NBC_PROVIDERCODE N VARCHAR(40)
    SQL> select * from od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    [POL-2403] value too large for column
    Checking deeply, some of the rows have got the data of the CLOB column moved in another column of the table.
    When doing select length(nbc_providercode) the length is bigger than the datatype of the field (varchar(40)).
    When doing substr(nbc_providercode,1,40) to see the content of the field, a portion of the Clob data is retrieved.
    SQL> select max(length(nbc_providercode)) from od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    MAX(LENGTH(NBC_PROVIDERCODE))
    162
    Choosing one random record, this is the stored information.
    SQL> select length(nbc_providerCode), text from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providerCode)=52;
    LENGTH(NBC_PROVIDERCODE) | TEXT
    -------------------------+-----------
    52 | poucos me
    SQL> select nbc_providerCode from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providerCode)=52;
    [POL-2403] value too large for column
    SQL> select substr(nbc_providercode,1,40) from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providercode)=52 ;
    SUBSTR(NBC_PROVIDERCODE
    Aproveite e deixe o seu carro no parque
    The content of the field is part of the content of the field text (datatype CLOB, containts an XML)!!!
    The right content of the field must be 'MTS' (retrieved from Central DB).
    The CLOB is being inserted into the Central DB, not into the Client ODB. Data is synchronized from CDB to ODB and the data is reaching the client in a wrong way.
    The issue can be recreated all the time in the same DB, but between different users the "corrupted" records are different.
    Any idea?
