No service I phone 4

I have got my I phone 4 unlocked from Apple and hence its factory unlocked after getting back to my home country from  USA . In USA, the phone was working fine with AT&T network and its was a contract AT&T Phone when I bought it in 2010 from AT&T.
After Apple unlocked it , I have been not able to use this I phone at all because of not getting network .  My I phone is on IOS 5.1.1 with 4.12.1 fbaseband firmware.
it has been consistently showing No Service and keeps searching for a network. I tried different network carriers but faced the same problem all the time. All these Sim cards and carriers work etremely good with no issue in my oher Androit phone .
I tried all possible solutions such as factory reset , reboot , restore and so on several time but it resulted only into waste of time . Even after spending lots of time on all possible solutions I am left with no solution for this No Service problem.
when I read different forums, I could understand that majority of I phone 4 and 4S users have been encountering with the same problem which is really frustrated for any one who has bought I phone with lot of  expectations from Apple.
It seems that there is severe Antena issue with I phone 4 and 4S. Even I read that people having 3GS have been facing the same problem but not to the extent of 4 and 4S users. I even read that not only antena but there might be software / IOS propblems which Apple has conviniently neglected and not able to provide any fix till date.
Does anyone of you know how to resolve this problem . I really wish to get my I phone back to working conditions . Pl help.

Hello Tim,
My phone is neither hacked nor jailbroken. Its factory unlocked . but still No Service problem persits . I contaced Apple store and Apple service centre in my country and they told me that since my I phone was purchased in US, I can get this problem taken ahead only with Apple Store in USA werein they might replace this phone.
Apple also inditectly accepted that this is a common problem with factory unlocked phones and they don';t have any solution other than handset replacement. but even after you get your handset replaced, there is no guarantee of getting rid of this issue .
Do you have any solution on this problem... I am really looking for someone who can help here getting my I phone back to work.

  • Appalled by the lack of customer service - NEW PHONE is DEFECTIVE

I was leaving for California at the end of July and needed a battery for my Galaxy Note 2. There were none to be found. Verizon agreed to allow me early upgrade to the Galaxy Note 3. After daily phone conversations with customer service, I finally got my phone 4 days after it was to be shipped next day air. I had to pay $75 California tax and a $15 next day fee. I live in Massachusetts and although we are known as "Taxachusetts" - it would not have been that much if sent to my home. Needless to say, I get the phone and it is unable to hold a charge (not being used) for more than 8 hours. I called customer service at least 10 times for a matter of at least 8 hours and have no resolution. I cannot get a new phone because I am beyond the 2 week deadline - "Really?" at that point I had the phone for 3 1/2 weeks. I have a phone bill sitting on my table for $418.00 (to include equipment) - I will not pay for this phone until they send me a new one. I do not think that is unreasonable, yet, each of the 10 customer service and supervisors I spoke with told me that is not possible - no one could do that for me...Look, all I want is a phone that works and VERIZON WILL NOT ASSIST ME WITH THIS SITUATION!!! I have been a customer for a long time and am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service!!! I am asking those on here for help.  What carrier should I move to?  Evidently Verizon does not need my service - and I am happy to share with my "Friends and Family" what a deceptive company this is.  So what do you all suggest?

It's as my original messages states.  After taking the iPhone5 to a verizon store and being told is was a known defect with the screen, we sent the phone back and received a refurbished phone.  After weeks, we were sent an email with a picture imbedded that would not display.  It stated the phone had internal damage.  We certainly would not have returned the phone had we not been instructed to do so by Verizon or if it was damaged.  We requested to send the refurbished IPhone back - we would have rather paid for a brand new phone than $300 for a refurbished one.  We were told we could not.   Beyond this - the support was unreal.  The first person we spoke stated there was zero record of our original call to support to return the phone although our detailed calling bill showed a 35 min call.  Three calls later and no one was able to show us the damange, prove it was our phone, etc.  I'm not convinced this isnt some sham to get more money to be honest.  We've been with you for 10 years.  I do not want to pay for a refurbished phone especially when a verizon tech instructed us to send the original back due to a defect.

  • HT3152 I have triple play cable service. Phone service is internet based. i pay monthly charge for cable provider modem. I also want to use modem for my Apple ipad2. Can I replace with another modem that will support internet based phone as well as ipad2?

I have cable triple play service. Phone service ios internet based and depends on cable provider modem. I pay monthly charge for modem. I also want to use modem for ipad2. Is there any modem that can support both internet based phone as well as ipad2?

If I understand you correctly, I have the same configuration.  My modem supports Internet and phone service and my television service bypasses the modem.  It does not do any routing.  It has a single Ethernet port and I plugged in an external router with a WiFi radio - Apple Airport Express.  Works like a champ.
Configuration of the Express was difficult.  I had to plug it in to AC power and to the modem.  Then, I opened up Airport Utility and had to click "yes" for each recommendation.  Then I had to really think hard to come up with a WiFi password.  Took me a horrendous thirty seconds from start to finish!

  • Why does apple sell phones with "INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY" when they cant service the phone in India, which has been bought outside India ? Whats the use of their registered service centers ?

i got my iphone 5 as a gift from my friend when he went on a business tour to Dubai. i have a got problem with the native camera app and i contacted the customer care more then 3-5 times and they finally gave me a solution to check with the service centers avialble in  my city. i went all the way there from my place and they said you cant service your phone over here since its has been bought outisde India ! then why do APPLE ship phones ? why do they have REGISTERED SERVICE CENTRES in India ? why do they sell apple products with the tag INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY ?

There is a problem insofar as you did not buy the phone.   Any warranty would therefore apply to the buyer.   What I would suggest is this ...
With the receipt in your hand, telephone the store where it was purchased.  Explain the situation and ask them how you should proceed.    You may find they'll only deal with your friend but if he/she is willing, it can still be pursued in your friend's name.
Once you have agreed a way of getting it serviced you will need to return the phone, and as I suggested, by a registered post system that requires proof of delivery.  Most postal services do this.
Pack the phone, preferably in its original box and surround it with extra packing. You do not want anyone to have grounds to say it was further damaged in transit.
Include a dated letter stating what the fault is and affix to that a copy of the receipt.
I hope you are successful.   Thank you for the star.

  • I have an iphone 4 with a talkmobile contract sim. I am unable te send or receive mms. I have spoken to talkmobile customer service, my phone settings are correct. Aplle say that it is a network problem, can anyone help?

I have n iphone 4 with a talkmobile contract sim. I cannot send or receive msm. I have spoken to talkmobile customer service, my phone settings are correct,Aple say it 8is a network problem!! Help!!

talkmobile is not a supported carrier. It's very likely that you have the same problem suffered by people who attempt to use T-Mobile in the U.S. MMS simply will NOT work because the network is not compatible with the iPhone. If you want full functionality, you will have to switch to a supported carrier.

The fact that it is physically damaged may have quite a bit to do with the fact that it doesn't work...

Cool story bro.  And since this is exactly what is supposed to happen, since the iPhone dosn't have an international warranty, and you had full access to the terms of the warranty before, during and after the purchase, what's the problem?
Get the device shipped back to Canada to a friend or family member (at your expense), then get Apple to service it in the country of origin, as required, then have that friend or family member ship it back to India (again, at your expense).
    Problem solved.
Next time, purchase your iPhone in the country where you intend to use it.

  • I have Verizon FiOS service for phone, internet and TV but I only have one TV hooked up for it for just basic cable service with no DVR and no need for widgets.  Can I use an Airport Extreme as my router and not use the FiOs router?

I want to use an Airport Extreme as my router.  I currently have a Verizon FiOS router.  I have Verizon for phone, internet and TV.  However, TV-wise, I just have a basic service for one TV with just a regular box.  No HD, no DVR.  Don't need access to a menu, widgets, on-demand.  Can I eliminate the FiOS Router and just use the Airport Extreme and still have phone and internet?

I know that it will increase my wireless coverage in my house but will it increase the speeds?
Not sure what you are asking here.  The AirPort Extreme is only going to be as fast as the Internet connection that it receives.....which is 75/75. It cannot take a 75/75 connection and make it go any faster.
If you locate the AirPort Extreme in an area where you need more wireless signal coverage, the AirPort Extreme would deliver 75/75 in that area.  But, keep in mind that the AirPort Extreme must connect to the FIOS router using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection.
If you are asking if the AirPort Extreme can wirelessly connect to the FIOS modem router, and extend the FIOS wireless network, the AirPort Extreme would not be compatible with a FIOS product for that purpose.

  • No Customer Service with Phone Line

I requested a transfer of phone service over a month ago.  No service, yet.  Two technicians have come out and diagnosed the problem as a Foreign Exchange issue stemming from a transfer of service.  I called the customer service line on 3 different occassions today, they hung up on me three times.  No explanation given.   Who do i call?

We sent you a message on our private support board to assist you and we did not receive a response.  Please repost the issue if you are still experiencing a problem so that we may assist you.  Tonya C.

  • Total Lack of Customer Service - New Phones Elsewhere

Fellow managers around my company have been following (and often TRYING to contact me) during my ongoing Droid Charge fiasco (constant re-booting, involuntary factory resets, lack of of customer service, etc.) and as result our company placed an order with the "big orange" wireless company for ten new Galaxy SIII's today.
It was MY decision for our previous round of employee phones to go with VZW and Droid Charge equipment . . . And it made ME look like a fool.

  • Keep losing all service, and phone restarts on it's own

So...my Razr maxx kept restarting on it's own after only being on for about 30 seconds and it also was receiving no signal. I did all the troubleshooting tools and nothing seemed to be able to fix it. So i successfully traded it in for a refurbished Razr with a new SIM card. I was able to set it up just fine last night and had no problems with it. However today while at work it just quit receiving a signal. It also has restarted itself multiple times. Seems like the same issue except on a smaller scale. It gets intermittent service and has only restarted itself a couple times. I went through all the settings and everything seems fine. The only thing i can think is that there might be a virus on my microSD card that's causing my phones to act like this. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Of course Verizon support will just tell me like they tried last time that their working on the towers right now. I don't know if they'll let me get another replacement. I think you only get one every 6 months with insurance. Please help.

My Razr Maxx was doing the same thing. Now it appears to be booting (constantly), but never actually boots. I can not even turn it off now. The only way it turns off is to let the battery die.
I've tried all the recommended fixes. In my research, this is a common problem with these phones. The only solution seems to be a new phone. These phones are too expensive to need replacing so often. Hmm...who does that benefit?
I've lost all interest in owning another Motorola. I'm seriously considering changing providers, as well.

  • No Service (No Phone, TV or Internet) Since Dec 31st

All our Verizon services were lost after a brief (approximately 30 minute) power failure in our neighborhood (Fair Lawn, NJ). About an hour after the power was restored, the TV reception was slow and the internet would lose connectivity. Finally about 90 minutes after power was restored, we lost everything: TV, internet and phone. Contact Verizon but a tech would not be able to get to us until Saturday, January 4th. Very frustrating. The tech had me do some basic fix it yourself things but none worked.
In my attempt to try and get this resolved sooner, I'm wondering if the battery unit is the cause. The box that contains the battery has a light on it that says (I think) Replace Battery and it's now lit. Could this be the cause of everything failing or is it something else? Anyone have any experience with somethign like this?

they do work over weekends but on business lines and emergency lines you as a residential customer are on a 3 working day wait time for repairs unless you are prepared to pay more for same day service as business users do

  • Upgraded unlocked 3GS to 5, had to have it unlocked again, downgraded to 4.1 but no service for phone?

upgraded unlocked 3GS to 5 and could not activate. Had to get it unlocked again and downgraded to 4.1 to activate.  Works on WiFi but  no phone service?  Any suggestions?

Yes. Definitely a hacked phone. And before you insist it wasn't, the act of downgrading from 5 to 4.1 invalidated any warranty and forfeited your ability to get support here or from Apple.

  • Iphone says no service , other phone on same plan works, why ?

My Iphone 3G( no S)  all of a sudden says No Service, and will not work to make calls.  The other phone I have on the same plan is working fine.  I tried to update software on the phone and it says it can not find the server.  It has been a while since I updated the software because I seem to always get an error or time expired message.  Any thoughts or ideas ?
    Thank you !

A couple of things can cause this. The SIM may not be seated well, or the phone would need to be reset. If you haven't, turn the iPhone off/on and check. If that doesn't help, then reset the phone. That is accomplished by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the iPhone reboots, try it. If that doesn't help, you may need to do a restore.
If you are having issues with updates and connecting to the server, that can often be explained by your Internet connection. An intermitent, or slow connection can cause this, as well as problems with anti-virus software. You may need to temporarily disable any anti-virus software to complete an update. Issues with a file called "host" on your computer can also cause issues. If you can locate it, open it with a text editor and remove any references to Apple, reboot the computer and try again.
If those don't help, make sure you copy down the exact error message and share that with us and we can see if we can help more.
