No updating of local currency in F-90

Hi
I am booking one fixed assets vendor in F-90. I entered USD in header detail and entered 44.60 rate in header details.
I entered 100$ in vendor line item and in asset line item and pressed enter. Rs.4460 was populated in "Amount in local currency"
But after simulating i came to know that it was 1000$. So i changed amount in USD as Rs.1000 and pressed enter. I observed that Amount in local currency did not got update. It remained Rs.4460 only. I posted the document. In posted document also local currency was Rs.4460 only,
According to me, amount in local currency should get updated as per new amount in USD. So i was expecting that amount in local currency should be updated to Rs.44600. But its not happening automatically.
Please help.

  • Local Currency conversion in PO

    Hi
Iam facing problem in wrong Local currency conversion while doing GR reversal for foriegn currency Subcontract PO.
    Local Currency : EUR
    PO Currency     : HUF
User has entered wrong Exchange rate in OB08. (Indirect Quotation : HUF -> EUR) & did Goods Receipt with reference to PO. After that Exchange
rate has been corrected immediately, but some GR documents posted with wrong exchange rate.
To correct the wrong entries, Again Wrong exchange rate has been updated in OB08 & reversed those material document in MBST. But the strange issue is system calculating different local currency for those reversed documents. The Local currency Amount of Goods receipt document & reversed document local currency amount is not matching,Ideally both should match.
    Following observations on this,
    1. Exchange rate are same in both doucments. I have checked in document Header.
    2. GR Qty & Reversed Qty are same.
    3. PO currency (HUF) amount are same in both doucments.
    4. Finished Material & Raw material are managed in standard Price.
    5. Document date & Posting date are same in both doucments.
Anybody can explain why the system updates wrong local currency ?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    RRS

I do not remember the Tcode, however it is under SPRO>>General setitings>> currency .. guess it is OB90
And if the difference is large. check the following:
Check the exchange rate type you use, next go to OB08 and see if the inverse translation is maintained for your currencies  EUR- HUF and HUF- EUR
and then check OB07 and see what settings you have for the ex. rate type you have i.e Inv, fixed ...
You might hit upon something here

  • GL Master - Only Balances in Local Currency

I am curious when to check the 'Only Balances in Local Currency' (OBILC) box on a Open Item GL.  I've read information from multiple sources and interpret that it should be set on all OI accounts with a few exceptions like recon accounts for vendors and customers.  In my past experience OBILC was checked for most open item accounts but the company I'm currently with has the opposite logic.  With the box not checked, the clearing is process is quite complex and time-consuming.  We are on the classic ledger in 6.0 and have companies in multiple local currencies with group currency of USD.  Just looking for input because I'm doubting my interpretation of when to check this box.
As an example, the GL would be an AP accrual account with postings in multiple doc currencies.  The company code local currency is MXN, and Group Currency is USD.  Should the OBILC be checked?
    Any input is appreciated.

    Hi,
'Only Balances in Local Currency' (OBILC) is used when you do not want any foreign excange difference to be posted at the time of clearing. When this indicator is active, then the balances in database tables are updated in local currency only and thus the clearing can happen in local currency only.
In your below example scenario, you can chosse not to activate this check OBILC, if your company is not interested in doing foreign currency valuation difference posting.

  • Actual Costing - CKME update in group and local currency - split

    Hi Experts,
We are using Actual Costing and running CKMLCP and CKME to update our standard price, in local currency and in group currency.
The result it is one PR accounting document, with group currency and local currency booked in it.
Now, we have this requeriment where they want to have 1 PR document with local currency booked and $0 group currency and another PR document with local currency as $0 and Group Currency booked.
It is like doing MR21 and not doing automatic translation into foreign currency, that is what we want.
So, the question is, Is there a way of archiving this in a simple way?
    Thanks for your comments!
    Enrique

    Hi Enrique,
The final step in CKMLCP enters future prices for all materials based on the actual prices of the period.
You could Use CKMPRPN the 'maintenance of future prices' with it's rule based approach to change the data before activating with CKME.
    You could
    1. delete the group currency future prices (CKMPRPN)
    2. release the new standard prices in company code currency (CKME)
    3. create future prices in group currency by adopting the (previous month's) V-price as future price (CKMPRPN)
    4. release the new standard prices in group code currency (CKME)
I am not sure if you could  also distinguish the validity dates between both currencies with CKMPRPN. If yes, that might be better than deleting and rebuilding the price. You could change the date for one currency into the future, use CKME, change the date back and use CKME again.
A disadvantage of the procedure would be that you will not release the cost component split from CKMLCP. In step 4 only the new price will be released and the split will be created from the former split. In step 2 the original split from CKMLCP will be activated.
    best regards,
                 Udo

  • Amount in Local Currency not updating when using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK

    Hi all,
I am using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK for parking a credit memo. Eventhough the credit memo is parked with amount in document currency, amount in local currency field is not updating.I am passing the amount to item_amount field in the item data table.
Can anyone tell me one solution for this.
    Thanks
    -Sajith

    Hello Chelsea,
I am not sure about your coding. If you are intrested you can try AC_DOCUMENT_DIRECT_INPUT FM it is having many many fields and also having local and global currency fields where you can pass the value.
    Thanks,
    Amit

  • Change of local currency amount in park document

    Dear SAP Experts,
I have some queries regarding the local currency in parked document.
Here are the steps to generate the issues:
    1. Enter vendor invoice using FB01 tcode. E.g the company code currency is MYR, then change the document currency to USD.  Maintain both debit and credit leg for the document. Please enter more than one expense account with different amount at debit side.
Enter the amount in document currency (in this example is USD) field and enter. System will populate the local curreny (in this case is MYR) based on the table currenct updated in the system.
At this point, the local currency (MYR) need to be changed based on user's requirement. In this case, they will be some deviation of currency rate since user has manually entered the desired amount for local currency.
    2. Park the document once finished.
3.Goto transaction FBV0 and open the parked document.
    4. You can see the ammended local currency amount still populated correctly in local currency field.
    5. Post parked document.
    6. Display the document posted and see that the local currency amount has been changed to the amount based on table rate in system.
    Queries:
    a. Is there any way to make sure that the ammended amount would not be changed after the document has been parked and then get posted? Please be informed that this scenario would not happened if the document is directly being posted without parked.
    b. If the exchange rate at document header is being changed based on the desired amount of local currency, this would not be an issue. Since the requirement is only to change the local currency amount at GL level and not at Vendor line item. But at the end the total ammended amount at GL level has to be equal to the vendor total amount. how to resolve this issue? Can standard SAP process/configuration can catered this scenarios..?
Thanks a lot for you help.
Your kind cooperation is highly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Yuzeila

    Hi SAP experts ,
My situation is the same - to park GL documents by uploading from a file  and then edit the local currency amount if necessary.
However in my case we have an excel sheet generated from an external system and our users want to upload them and park all the journals  at a single time.
We are using RFBIBl0 direct input program to upload the file and park then transaction using FBV1.  Alll the documents are parked with the data  as in the excel sheet.
Next step is that the users go to FBV0 to edit the parked documents and sometimes it is required to change the local currency based on the current exchange rate and then post the journal  .
However when the parked documents are edited using FBV0 the local currency amount entered by the user is ignored and the system still  overwrites it with  the system calculated amount .
    b. As per your suggestion - I cannot use FV60 using direct input program as FV60 transaction is not supported.
Please can you suggest if there is any way to park the Gl documents in background  from a file  and then edit the parked documents as required i.e change amounts and other fields.
    You help is much appretiated.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • No local currency found for plant and sales org.

    Hi Guru's,
I am face to a problem that i don't understand.
I load the standard master data 0PLANT and i have the basic issues : No local currency found for plant and sales org.
I already saw this error so i check the basics to solve it.
I respect the comp_code, sales_org and than plant sequence.
i checkek the routines, no problem.
for some plants it works. i extract 8 plants 2 works the rest not. the reason is that there is no sales org affected in my PSA table for those plants.
But (and this is the problem) when i check the SAP source table T001W i can see that plants are corectly affecte to sales organization
So do you have any idea of my problem ?
do you know the transaction on ECC to maintain division and sales org affectation

  • GL account needs to block for local currency & another cur. needs to post

    Hi,
I need GL account that should block for posting in local currency, it should post other(forgien) currencies. how can i handle this scnerio.
if there is any balance,is it possiable to maintain validation.could you please let me know, how i can resolve this problem.
    Thanks in advance
    Jaya

    Hi,
Though a document is created in foreign currency, system will also update the amount in local currency based on the conversion rate given in the document or maintained in OB08 table.
If your requirement is to allow only foreign currency transaction for a GL account, then write validation with the condition that - If GL account no is XXXXX, check document currency is not equal to local currency (BKPF-WAERS).

  • Translation to local currency in logical database FTI_TR_CASH_FLOWS

    Hi,
I created an infoset based on logical database FTI_TR_CASH_FLOWS. Based on this infoset I created a query. One of the fields I chose is "Payment Amount in Local Currency". In the query the translation to local currency is done using a currency rate that is incorrect. For example I show in the report a future flow and I expect the translation to be done using the latest rate becuase the flow is in the future -what actually happens is that the translation is done using an older rate previous to the latest rate. I also show the field "Payment Amount in Display Currency" which is translated correctly.
    Does anyone know this problem?
    Thanks,
    Tal

I see that the amount in LC is taken from table TRDT_FLOW that is why it is not updated in the report although new currency rates were entered.
    Is this a bug?

  • Only Balances in local currency

    Hi,
By mistake we activated only Balances in local currency setting for a GL account at the time of Go-live. Also we had done  postings to this account with foreign currency and local currency. Now we want to do foreign currency valuation for this account, but the problem is up to now all the transaction are recorded in local currency only because of the reported setting to GL master, so system is not finding any valuation differences for foreign currency transactions.
What can be done to update the transaction currency balances for the posted line items without reversing?
Is there any program to update the balances in transaction currency as well?
We have many line items in that GL account which have to be revaluated.
Experts, please give me the suggestion.

  • Open item mgt and only balances in local currency

    Hi ,
What is open item management and only banlances in local currency ?
for which gl accounts v select open item management and only balances in local currency
    Pls explain urgent
    Regards
    umesh

    1. Only Balances in Local Currency:
Indicates that balances are updated only in local currency when users post items to this account.
Use: You would set this indicator for accounts in which you do not want the system to update transaction figures separately by currency.
It is required to set theis indicator in:
    1.  cash discount clearing accounts
    2. GR/IR clearing accounts.
It cannot be set in reconciliation accounts for customers or vendors. Setting it in all other instances is optional.
    Open item management:
Determines that open items are managed for this account.
Explanation: Items posted to accounts managed on an open item basis are marked as open or cleared. The balance of these accounts is always equal to the balance of the open items.
Procedure: Set up accounts with open item management if offsetting entries are to be assigned to the postings made to these accounts. Postings to these accounts represent incomplete transactions.
    USE:
A goods receipt/invoice receipt (GR/IR) clearing account should be managed on an open item basis so that you can check at any time whether invoices have been received for the goods received for an order.
Set up accounts without open item management if no offsetting entry is to be made against a posting to this account.
Accounts that are managed on an open item basis include:
    Clearing accounts:
    Bank clearing account
    Payroll clearing account
    Cash discount clearing account
    GR/IR clearing account
Accounts that are not managed on an open item basis:
    Bank accounts
    Tax accounts
    Raw material accounts
    Reconciliation accounts
Hope this is helpful. Pleas assign points if it is.

  • Foreign currency  invoice not shown in local currency

    Dear Experts ,
Can you please help me to resole
In my company code currency is INR and my foreign currency is USD , when i posted a invoice in foreign currency it shows in print preview only in foreign currency that is USD but i want to see the local currency INR also for that invoice when in view in VF03
please tell me how to do this
    Thanks in Advance
    Bhaskar

    Hi,
Make sure that in VF03 the document is displaying as per your criteria.
Else you need to add layout of local currency value from layout design.
better you check the table that the correct value is generating ( I mean the local currency information is updating or not)

  • Depreciation in Local Currency 2

    Experts,
We had missing exchange rates which we added into OB08. However, there were depreciation runs posted prior to adding these missing exchange rates and therefore the depreciation runs were posting depreciation amounts in local currency 2 using the wrong exchange rate. Now that we have added in the correct exchange rates is there any way to adjust or recalculate the depreciated amount in local currency 2 to reflect the updated rates?
I have tried running AFAR, but get no results in order to process further.
How can we ensure that the new rates are considered going forward for depreciation?
    Thank you!
    Savitha

    Hi Ajay,
I think you are saying to pass a journal entry using F-02. But how do I pass that into the parallel currency only? By specifying the company code and entering with local currency 2? How can I enter this without entering an amount for the company code currency? Also, you are suggesting that I hit the same accounting as regular depreciation postings, but I cannot find a transaction type that will allow me to post. Will I need to create a new transaction type?
After changing the exchange rates the new depreciation postings are not recognizing the new rates. Even when I try to run repeat depreciations it still does not adjust local currency 2. Should I block and reenter these assets in order to get them in the right exchange rates or is there a better/simpler way?
    Thanks!
    Savitha
