"No Valid Licence for this Book"

I've authorised my computer and my ereader (Elonex) and
have transferred over the ebooks in the correct way, but when I try to read them on the ereader it states "No valid licence for book
". I therefore can't access anything on there that I have just paid for...does anyone know what this means and what needs to be done
- searched forums and FAQ's on sites for both Adobe and Elonex and nothing.

I am having the same problem with my elonex 511tEB. Did you manage to get yours sorted out and can you please tell me how  to do it.
I would be very grateful if you could help me as i am puzzled with it all.

    I bought my first ebook in December from Waterstones for my Elonex ereader and this was ok. The next two books purchased from Waterstones came up with the message, "No valid lisence for this book." After trying to solve the problem of not being able to open/read them I ended up with, "Too many activations." I managed to get my activations re-set, yet am still unable to open/read the books because  I am getting the same message, "No valid lisence for this book." I have sent the case to Adobe, but as I waited and waited for the activations to be re-set I could be in for another long wait! Can anyone help please.

  • No valid license for the book

    I have just bought a Hanvon ereader and it has adobe digital editions. I have authorised it as a device on my adobe digital editions on my computer and correctly transferred the book to my device but when I try to open it I get the message "no valid license for the book". Can anyone help me as this is the 2nd ereader I have tried with adobe digital editions and I haven't yet been able to read a library book on either one. My ereader is on the adobe supported devices list, it is a Hangwang Pty Ltd Wise reader N520.

    I want to add to this, after searching and reading many posts on this forum I have now checked the item info for the epub books I downloaded from my regional library and they say the followiing:
    Reading allowed on any device until 31/3/2014
    Copying not allowed
    This is frustrating as our regional library recommends download with Adobe Digital editions for reading books on any ereader device. Can anyone tell me how I can download direct to my ereader so I am not trying to copy from ADE on my pc to my ereader. I am desperate to get this sorted out.

  • Dreamweaver CC and Windows 8.1 - Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension

    Was running the latest version with no issues and then I loaded Office 2013 .. Now when I am in the remote site and try to double click on a .cfm file, I get a dialog box..Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension..
    I tried the support chat and they said Dreamweaver support was not available, try again later???
    So I thought I would reinstall the CC version and now I can see the Dreamweaver icon next to the files but still ... can't open the file..
    Any assistance would be appreciated?

    The issue is only in Windows 8.x where when Dreamweaver CC is installed, it is not able to turn on the file type associations by default.  The workaround for now is to manually add the extensions both within Windows and then within Dreamweaver CC itself.
    Go to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Your Default Programs and select Dreamweaver CC and then select 'Choose defaults for this program' and Select All or the extensions you want to open in Dreamweaver CC
    Start Dreamweaver CC and go to Edit > Preferences > File Types/Editors and add '.cfm .cfc' to the extensions and then add C:\Program Files (x86)\Dreamweaver CC\Dreamweaver.exe then click on Apply and Close
    That should be it.

  • DW CC: Can't find a valid editor for this file extension

    Hi,
    I am using dreamweaver cc for 1 month now. I have been having difficulty opening .asp file.
    In the File panel, when i click on one of the asp files, the error message is 'Can't find a valid editor for this file extension'.
    To solve this problem, I will right click on the file and choose Open with > Dreamweaver.
    However, this is very inconvenient. Someone pls help!

    You can configure that in your Operating System.  In my version of Windows XP, open any folder and  select TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/FILE TYPES then scroll to the asp file type and select DW as the editor.

    Support for ColdFusion and other databases were removed from DWCC. You can add them back with the Legacy Extension, or adding a paid extension from DMX Zone...

  • FrameMaker 9: Licencing for this product has expired

    A few weeks ago, I installed a licenced copy of Technical Communication Suite v2, but did not really get the chance to try it out properly at the time.
    Upon launching it yesterday, instead of the application launching, I just got a dialog box:
    "Licencing for this product has expired"
    Does anybody know how I can rectify this?

    Jon/Mike,
    If you had any of the beta versions installed, then this will mess
    with subsequent new installs if you didn't deactivate and remove the
    serial number before it expired. To kick start it back to live with
    the appropriate new serial number you can try these steps. Note: you
    don't necessarily need to uninstall and re-install the suite.
    1. Roll back your system clock to a point when the beta/prior version
    was working.
    2. Open up either FM/Robo/Captivate and select the "Deactivate..."
    under the Help menu.
    3. You will be prompted if you're sure and want to deactivate the
    whole TCS, etc. One important option here is that you can remove the
    serial number upon deactivation. You need to do this!
    4. Once deactivated and the serial number is removed, reset your
    system date back to normal.
    5. Finally start up any of the three main apps and you'll be prompted
    with the EULA that you have to agree to and then will be asked to
    enter the proper serial number.
    I hope this helps in your situation.

    Having set up the iCal server based on Apple's instructions, I find:
    Enabling calendaring for a user in WGM does not stick, at least according to the dialog.
    When I try to publish a calendar for user 'hansen', I get the following:

    The non-sticking indication is the result of an error in your setup. DNS should be correct to allow the calendar server to find your server at www2.rc.org
    I have no problem finding the server via a web browser.
    Additionally, iCal server should have your server entered in its setup panel on port 8008 or 8443 depending on the use of nonSSL or SSL. Ensure the correct port is open.
    8008 is open. I can also see the /calendar data by logging on via a web browser.
    And lastly your OD master LDAP directory needs to be up and running at 127.0.0.1.
    So your user can be assigned within the LDAP directory and not the local directory containing server assignments.
    You got me here. Now, I tried to enable the OD service and set up the server as a master. But I can't change the user to using OD - I get an error.
    Looking in the OD General settings, I notice that the inverse DNS has given it the the host name list.rc.org, which is another name for the same server. Could that be a problem? I need list.rc.org to be available.
    I just started this server (moved from 10.4), so it's not like I've had chance to mess up much. The accounts I'm trying to use for iCal are new accounts, not imported from 10.4.

  • Publishing iCal: getting error "is not a valid location for this request"

    I am trying to publish an iCal calendar to my own website via my iSP. My isp says they are already WebDAV so I don't need to turn it on. I have also gone over my url with them repeatedly to make sure I am entering it correctly. And still, I am getting an error that publish failed because it is not a valid location for the request.
    Any advice welcome...

    Ignore this question. My webhost who has insisted for the past 45 minutes they ARE WebDAV enabled, actually aren't!

  • Acrobat Pro 9 "Licencing for this product has stopped working."

    I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled, that did not work. I also downloaded the license repair tool and followed those steps (extract, run, reboot, run, reboot, press 0) and I still get this message when I try to open acrobat pro. I have my disk (including serial number) but since having this issue I have not been asked to input that serial number anywhere.
    The full error message is "You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (148:3)" Phone support says there is no phone support and any online stuff redirects me here.

  • Licencing for this product stopped working

    Up graded to Mac  OS X 10.9.2 (13C1021). Programs went away... can go back if that makes things work again. Is there a way to use PS Elements 09?

    My computer was up dated and crashed... so Apple care fixed it and did something that they needed to wipe , my had drive clean. I bought Elements 09, and had Snow Leopard, that went to Lion, to Mt Lion and now Maverick... which has not worked well, and after a Maverick's latest up date... my Photoshop Elements was gone! It's on my Time Machine, but Maverick is not talking to my old back ups... Apple will give me a new Motherboard and put my computer back to how it was if I had time to bring it in. So once you up grade, and in my case it was a down grade because nothing works after the OS was installed, the chips are burned and can not go back to how they were... not sure if this is all that you wanted but this is what happened.
    I have a icon, and the error message says I need to contact Adobe, and  the forms say to follow some steps that I can not find on my computer... I just wasted to fix the CD case for the new Blues CD we recorded and print CD covers! All not going to happen with a program that will not launch due to my no longer having a recognizable registration!
    So, I was looking for the who to call, not chat on line and have a conversation with how I download a copy or unlock the one I paid for in full in 2009.
    If you can help me I'm in your debt... want a great Blues CD of the Pacific Coast Blues Band live from the SB Drum Lab? Yours if I can print the cover!
