No valuation for customer returns material

HI,
when goods receipt is done for the returns and repair process thare should be no valuation done for the material returned by the customer as the material is a returnable material to the customer.
how to track this in SAP.

You cannot use the same material (the material that has been billed) in returns order because if you do not want the material to be valuated then you have the material type as UNBW.
Hence create a new material with material type UNBW and use this materia in the sale order.

      1. Maintain Inspection Type 05 in Material master.
      2. Don t Maintain any Inspection lot Origin in SPRO  > QM > Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot creation > Inspection at shipping > Assign Inspection lot Origin  to Delivery type.
    3. Create Inspection Plan for Customer return with usage 5.
    4. Then create return delivery with respect to sale order no or Document no.
    5. Do PGI.
    6. Now a lot will be generated with stock posting option.

  • Valuation for Customer Returns

    Hi!
    I understand that when goods are returned by a customer they are first placed into 'returns' stock. This is non-valuated stock. When the decision is made to put the goods into inventory (mvt 453), the system posts an FI document to valuate the returned goods based on the current price in the material master.
    So, here are my questions:
    1. Is my understanding above accurate?
    2. If we wish to put the goods back into stock, but at a reduced value (i.e. at a cost that is lesser than the current price in the material master), how would we accomplish that?

    Depending on how Customizing for Sales is configured (the movement type is configured in the step Define Schedule Line Category), the delivery is posted to the following stock:
    - Blocked stock returns (non-valuated, not unrestricted-use) (movement type 651)
    - Unrestricted-use stock (movement type 653)
    - Quality inspection stock (movement type 655)
    - Blocked stock (movement type 657)
    If the given quantity is posted to blocked stock returns first, you can make a manual goods movement posting in the Inventory Management component to transfer the quantity to valuated stock.
    2. You can't as per my best knowledge. The price in material master (accounting view) is valid for your whole (own)stock. What you can do is to revaluate your inventory via MR21 after having moved the goods into your own stock.

  • Rework for Customer returned material

    Hi,
    The scenario is follows:
    The material is received from the customer through invoice as rejected and taken into stock. The material is withdrawn and then reworked with addition of components and Placed into stock.
    Pl.let me know the procedure to handle the scenario including capturing the cost.

    1) You take the customer rejected materials into blocke stock (non valuated materials). MRP will not plan these parts.
    2) You do the rework.
    3) If found OK then transfer this to available stock (form blocked to un-restricted use). Now this will become valuated stock (relevent for costing and MRP).
    For the costong scenario i suggest you to open your query with FI/Co forum.

    While my customer return the finished goods I am making sales return order ,did the PGR & make the credit note.
    Now I want to adjust the excise duty through J1IH
    In j1ih which option I have to choose <other adjustemnet> or <Add. excise>
    In Add. Excise tab. the Gl account detremine are :
    C 0013113920 115.00 CENVAT clearing
    D 0024822000 5.00 CENVAT Input SECess
    D 0024820000 100.00 CENVAT Input BED
    D 0024821000 10.00 CENVAT Input ECess
    Whereas In case of Other adjustment tab GL account determine are
    C 0024822000 5.00 CENVAT Input SECess
    C 0024820000 100.00 CENVAT Input BED
    C 0024821000 10.00 CENVAT Input ECess
    D 0013113920 115.00 CENVAT clearing
    Please suggest me which option is correct.......Other adj or Add excise tab.
    In my opinion it should be <Add. Excise> where Clearing account is credited and all rest debited.

    As directed by you I did & come to know that it's triggering MRDY EX TT if I go through J1Ih < Other Adjustment>.
    So now I Created one Sub Transaction Type -
    CR - Customer Return.
    & in Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction I  Maintain
    MRDY    CR    Credit     Cenvat Suspence Account
    MRDY    CR    Debit      RG 23 BED Account
    MRDY    CR    Debit      RG 23 ECS Account
    MRDY    CR    Debit      RG 23 At1 Account
    & maintained thier GL's.
    Checked in
    Is this right for Customer Returns????

    Hi! Does anybody know how to create import customs declaration for customer returns (return sales order --> return delivery --> GI for returns) in GTS? Standard GTS can handle only the PO --> inbound delivery --> GR process, as if this would be the ONLY import process. BR Martin

    Hi Martin,
    The System is smart enough to recognize if a document is inbound or not. Just set it as Relevant for transfer to GTS (in the ERP Plugin)  and in GTS map the document type to an Inbound document type (SAP Global Trade Services / SAP Customs Management / General Settings / Document Structure / Assignment of Document Types from Feeder Systems / Assign Document Type at Feeder System Level (or Assign Document Type at Feeder System Group Level) and map it to CULOIM) and it should do the trick.
    If it does not work send me the error messge from transaction SLG1.

  • Inspection type for customer return of returnable package material

    Hi Guys,
             I send the returnable package to the customer , while reciving that material to my stock (when the customer return to me ) i want to create outbound delivery with out order refference .
    I want system to create inspection lot after doing PGR of the outbound delivery .
    The inspection lot sould have the option of result recording and stock posting when i do usage decission
    This requirement not met by inspection type 06 , i want to create new inspection type to met above mentioned all requirement .
    please provide the steps to be performed to met the same.

    Hi,
    The 06 - Inspection type is not stock relevant and also it is not possible to change because it is SAP std.
    1. If you want inspection for Customer with stock, active 05 - Inspection type in Material Master, and move the stock from customer return to QI by using MB1B with Movement type 457 Stock transfer returns to QI. After that system will create the Inspection lot in 05 Inspection type.
    2. If don't want stock for inspection and directly post to Unrestricted using MB1B with movement type 453 Transfer posting to returns from customer to Unrest.
    3. Customer return to Blocked stock using MB1B with mvt type 459 Stock transfer returns to blocked
    Case2.
    Inspection type 05 is a stock relevant inspection type.
    To use 05 you must assign the 05 inspection type to the delivery item in configuration.
    Follow this path.
    Tcode vov6 - there will be schedule line category DN.
    go to details of DN.In Business data, check which movement type is assigned here.
    I think in your case it will be 651.
    Change it to 655 and try now.

    Had searched, but couldnt find this kind of query

       Actual sales - OR - DEL- pgi- Invoice - Outgoing Exc.Invoice-
    now, when customer returning goods,
    RE order ( with / without ref) - LR - pgr -  RE - Cr for Returns ( i havent created any exc invoice for  RE billing)
    How to reverse the excise entries, in both cases ( with OR without ref to OR/F2)
    I did - J1I7 to know find the Outgoing Exc.Invocie of original/ref Billing doc-
    ( how can we find, if there is no ref when creating RE-order?)
    Then, I tried to Capture Exc.Invoice- J1IEX ( wrt: Without Purchase ORder -EWPO)-
    I entered the Original Outgoing Excise invoice - system throws mssg as " Material Document can not be processed"-
    am I following wrong path? - or you want me to Make Adjustments directly in J1IH ( all debit entries - Other adj / Credit entries- Addnl Adjust) .

  • Customer return material process

    Hi,
    I want to know the the process for below 2 cases we have a manufacturing plant
    1:For factory sales we follow the process
       VA01 > VL01N > VF01 > J1IIN > VF02 release to accounting
    now after some days  if customer dont want the material they send the material back,  thhen wahat is the std. process to take the materila back in stock  also customer balance should also get reduce for that invoice.
    2:Some time for exibition we want to send the material out of factory for tempoprary basic  after completion of exibition we want to take that stock back in our own stock is it possible withotu any customer to do this process,  what is the std. process for this.

    For customer returns, you need to create a return order referencing the parent billing document, do return delivery for the goods received and raise credit note to that extent so that system will take care of necessary adjustments in FI.

  • Post Goods Receipt Reversal with VL09 for customer returns in WM

    Hi,
         We have performed Goods receipt and stock was putaway with a TO confirmation in WM. Now we want to reverse the goods receipt and the quantity is not in 904 area for returns. How can I get the stock back to 904 from regular storage type with same dynamic bin number as my customer return delivery number? Basically When I do VL09 system complains that it canot find the dynamic bin number which is same as my delivery number. Answer will be rewarded.

    the optional solution can be as following steps:
    1) create the bin manually with ls01n: storage type 904, bin name is the delivery number,
    2) reverse with vl09 and a material doc will be created.
    3) check the bin stock with ls24, you will see negative stock in 904.
    4) create TO to offset this negative qty with lt06 with above mentioned material doc. this TO's source bin is just the one in regular storage type.
    5) confirm TO
    6) don't forget to delete the bin created in step 1,  this is because it is created manually but not dynamic bin that will dissapear automatically.

    My problem is when sales order type ZRE(Customer return) is created with refrence to Invocie i have to check the quantity in the return order is less than the original invoice or not.If quantity in return order is greater than invoice quantity then i have to raise error message.For this which user-exit is suitable in sales order program SAPMV45A.

    In MMR i think you must have assigned a quality inspection as 06 . so at the time doing delivery , and before PGI , quality inspection took place. Now when you are doing PGR , i think you just check the goods insepction data at item level in delivery data . and  remove that quality inspection  06 and then  save it . then only PGR will happen .
    Because you have assigned qualtiy inspection in MMR , system is checking , wheather the goods are good or not .that could be one of the reason it is not doing PGR, if u remove that 06 which is goods inspection then PGR will be done , then you can proceed further

  • Automatic Batch Creation at  the time of GR for Customer Returns

    We are using batch management with functionality of automatic batch creation for variuos movement type 101/103/105/561 etc. with updation of classification in foreground. 
    We are even using automatic batch creation for Inbound delivery. By configuring IMG object "Batch creation Control for Inbound"
    Now we have a new requirement of automatic Batch creation for GR of Customer Return against Customer Return SO (Movement type 651). And updation of classification in foreground.
    I have tried a lot but couldn't find how to configure the same.
    Can I create GR custmor returns 651 thru transaction MIGO?
    Any suggestion how to achieve this.

    Hi,
    What Sairam said is correct, the idea of automatic batch creation is so that when you manaufacture or create an item you can allocate the characteristics to that batch and give it a number.
    You then sell that batch to a customer.
    When the customer returns the item the system should NOT automatically allocate a new batch number to it because this is breaking a VERY important audit trail.
    In batch management (in some inductries more than  others) it is VITAL to have a full audit trail of a bathc so that any problems concerning that batch can be traced back to their origin. What you are trying to do is to break that audit trail (although I can fully understand what you are trying to do).
    I would leave the batch allocation for returns as manual and then when you transafer the item from returns to unrestricted (or quality etc.) tyou can then input the new characteristics.

    While generating excise invoice throu J1IS for Return Material document (Mov Type 122 - Return of Quality rejected material to vendor), it is observed that multiple excise invoice nos are getting generated for the same Return mat doc no.
    System is not preventing in doing so.
    Pl. advise how to restrict such excise invoice generation.

    Use: J1I7 , In selection range you can give Excise Group, Excise Transaction Type as GRPO , Vendor Number, Material Document , Material or Purchasing Document , select  Part 1 and part 2 Posted , Off.No is Excise Invoice No entered at the time of Excise Capturing.
