NO WIFI MESSAGE

AFTER TWO WEEKS ON INTERNET, NOW I RECEIVED A MESSAGE NO WIFI....PLEASE HELP ME TO GO BACK TO SURF...

There are a few posts about this "No Wifi" problem throughout some of the Mac Forums on the net. A few people have had this problem including me, and there is nothing you can do to fix it. It does not seem to have anything to do with the firmware, but I could be wrong. Maybe there is a bug in the firmware causing the WiFi to blow. Your guess is as good as mine.
Originally mine was graying out occasionally. It did that since the day I received my iPod Touch. I figured it was trying to find a server or was resetting itself. However, I asked a guy at work last week who has one if this was happening to his and he said he never noticed it before but would pay more attention. He told me yesterday that he has never seen the WiFi settings switch to "No WiFi" and turn gray - ever. So there was obviously a problem with mine from day one. I only realized how serious the problem was when the "No WiFi" appeared and it would never go away. After a reboot, reset, restore, etc., none of this did any good. Contact Apple right away if you should ever see the words "No WiFi" in place of the "WiFi Settings" option. This option should never be grayed out.

I have not had any success. I took the ipod to the nearest apple shop but as it was out of warranty they could do nothing to help - not even send it to apple to repair for a charge. They put me in touch with an approved apple tech support/repair place but they have just got back to me saying it is unrepairable. I'm pretty hacked off. It is only 18 months old, has been well looked after, and a 16GB ipod touch was not cheap, and now I can't replace it with the same as they don't do 16GB anymore, an 8GB is not really big enough for my daughter, and the 32GB is way too expensive. I really am pretty gutted. We were just considering buying an apple mac, but I've seriously lost faith in apple. My son's 16GB touch of the same age also has had a problem with the headphone socket, this has just been repaired for £45! I am going to get the extended warranty for my 3 month old touch 64GB, in case a similar thing occurs, though when I went to buy online I see they add £5 for delivery - to deliver what? a piece of paper saying I've got the warranty? hmmmm!

TS3367 Facetime is needing wifi message keeps popping up.

My mother's iphone 4 does not have wifi and the FaceTime is turned off. When she dials someone's number on the keypad, a message saying Facetime is needing wifi keeps popping up. Any idea how to make this message stop popping up? It's frustrating when she's trying to call someone.

Sorry I'm taking so long in replying. Thanks for all the replies. For some reason, the popup isn't coming up anymore (I don't know what resolved that!). We live in two different states so it is difficult to be able to know what problems she's telling me about. She's 79 and this is her first time working with any type of Internet and Email technology (my brother basically "threw" this on her).
Now when she opens the Mail app she only gets a blank page, gray at top, gray at the bottom, with no wording (i.e. Inbox) and after a second or two, it automatically goes back to Home screen. I thought maybe her Mail was Off, so I had to "talk" her into Settings, then to check to see if Mail is On. It is. I myself am not familiar with Iphone. And my idiot brother who's had one for a couple years tells her to talk to me when she has a problem.

Z10 BB10 wifi message issue

seems to be, that if I type a message while attached to wifi and then leave the wifi zone, it will not send the message until i return to that particular wifi zone. Also it will not ring through with any new meassages of any kind until I get back to that same spot.
Looks like my Z10 is not actively switching between the various wifi network or it's own Rogers connection. It's like it locks on to one wifi network and then will not release the phone to it's own connection.
Here is exactly what happened...
I was connected to wifi at work, drove to another location down the road. At that location I was not on wifi. I typed a quick BBM, but it sat with a red clock until I returned to the original WIFI zone(about 50 minutes). At which pont it instantly sent the BBM as well as rang through with various new emails and text messages.
Am I missing a setting or something? Because if this is a BB10 glitch, this is a big one.

OK, further testing as this is driving me nuts.
I have 4 wifi network here, label 1through 4. I was just logged in at #4 and messages sent fine. I walked until #4 ran out at which point it flipped and connected to wifi#2. I compossed a BBM and sent it while on #2. It did not send, and sat with the red clock until I walked back to wifi#4, at which point it sent and I also received two emails.
So basically my phone is locking to one WIFI and not allowing incomming or outgoing messages via WIFI or radio. One more thing to add onto the list so far. Love this new phone, until I have to use it.

Can i disable the "Turn on Wifi" message in camera?

every time i try to use the camera while wifi is turned off, i have to acknowledge a dialog concerning "turn on wifi for improved location accuracy"
i only have wifi access at home, i keep wifi turned off all other times to help battery life. insanely annoying to have to acknowledge this message
EVERY time i open camera. I dont recall iOS6 and previous OSes doing this more than once.
Any way I can turn this off permanently? Keeping wifi on all the time is not an option.

Hmm.... interesting. iOS 6 used to have a Location settings in Settings. I don't find on in iOS 7.

Unable to start wifi message

Help I have a HP Photosmart C510a. When I try to start WIFI I get the unable to start message.

Did resolve it also! But NOT with the LENOVO UPDATE!!!

it describes what we must do to get it running!
1. I did download the new PROSET WiFi and the WiDi driver
2. deinstall the WIDI and PROSET Wireless drivers from LENOVO
3. then intall the new drivers from INTEL in the order described above!

Wifi message unable o connect to "name of network" ahhhhhh

ok i have tried everything and i still cant connect to any public network only my friends private hotspot network. i have called customer support and they won help me because i dont have an agreement with them. my phone is an iphone 3g or 3gs not sure my cusion gave it to me i never hd any problems with it til now. cansomeone please help im getting so sick and tried of not being ble to connect to any wifi at all.

We have try to connect with the Go "Connect to Server" command using the IP of that server... As we have always done in all other mac. The logs? Where is the logs...?

My wife, daughter and I have iPhones. We all have iMessage and Send Read Receipts activated. All the messages sent between the three of us are blue except those that my wife sends to me. They are green. Can anyone explain why.

Because some kind of error occured. This is only from her iPhone to your iPhone? Whenever she sends a message to any other iPhone, it is sent as blue? And when anyone else sends you a message from an iPhone, it sends as blue?

Txt message nto working

why the *** the messagin app is not able to send txt mesage to two or more receipants at a time, when i am able to send the same message to both of them seperately....as it is sending to each person properly, its not prob with SIM/wifi/messaging center number or any other stuff, except for a bug in windows 8! what the hell is goin on ??? can some one please explain the reason for this kind of stuff?

To send a text to multiple recipients you need to tap on the + symbol on the top right of the screen then tap the "Select" icon on the bottom bar. Your recipients list will now have a check box next to each name which you can use to select multiple recipients. When done just tap on the tick icon on the bottom.

MMS over WiFi

I understand to send MMS (pictures/group messages) you need a data plan and have to be connected to the mobile network. However, whenever I am at home or work, and I happened to be connected to the local WiFi network, I am unable to send group messages, pictures or anything that's classified as MMS. When I hit send, all I see is the picture or message labelled as "sending." It eventually times out, and I get an notification that it has failed. However, whenever I restart my phone or take myself off WiFi, the MMS is able to send.
Anybody else having this issue? I shouldn't have to take myself off WiFi or reboot my phone to send MMS....

This sounds like an Apple ID problem. Do each of you have your own Apple IDs? Are they each properly set on each phone? You might try logging out of Facetime and iMessage, then logging back in. This often fixes connectivity issues.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 WiFi Problem

I'm using MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch Late 2013 and my OS is OS X Yosemite version 10.10.3. I'm having problem with WiFi connectivity. I cannot connect to my office WiFi. I've tried many solution provided in the Internet about similar problem, but I still can't fix it. I know that there are similar discussions about this, but the other discussions are about wifi problems in 10.10.2. Can any of you help me? Thanks.

: Remove Network Configuration & Preference Files
Manually trashing the network plist files should be your first line of troubleshooting. This is one of those tricks that consistently resolves even the most stubborn wireless problems on Macs of nearly any OS X version. This is particularly effective for Macs who updated to Yosemite that may have a corrupt or dysfunctional preference file mucking things up:
Turn Off Wi-Fi from the Wireless menu item
From the OS X Finder, hit Command+Shift+G and enter the following path:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
Within this folder locate and select the following files:
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
com.apple.network.identification.plist
com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist
Move all of these files into a folder on your Desktop called ‘wifi backups’ or something similar – we’re backing these up just in case you break something but if you regularly backup your Mac you can just delete the files instead since you could restore from Time Machine if need be
Reboot the Mac
Turn ON WI-Fi from the wireless network menu again
This forces OS X to recreate all network configuration files. This alone may resolve your problems, but if you’re continuing to have trouble we recommend following through with the second step which means using some custom network settings.

If it is only your home WiFi that has the problem then it rests in the router. Has it ever worked? Do you have MAC filtering enabled on the router? Is the router's SSID unique, or is it a default (e.g., LINKSYS, DLINK, etc)? Have you tried rebooting your phone? Have you tried "forgetting" the network on the phone? Have you tried Settings/General/Reset - Reset network settings?

Verizon Messages - possible to make Chrome extension or PC desktop app?

Hi, I recently downloaded the Verizon Messages app from the Play Store and am trying it out to replace MightyText. The reason MightyText is so handy is its Chrome extension, which means I don't have to log into Mightytext every single day just to send/receive messages from my PC browser. Is there any possibility of creating a Chrome app/extension or even a Windows desktop app for Verizon messages?
It is a great concept and makes more sense to do all SMS/MMS management at cloud/network level rather than syncing from the handset to the service (like Mightytext does). The main issue is that logging in at 2-3 times/day (work PC, home PC, sometimes get timed out as well) to the Verizon Messages webpage on PC is getting annoying. Mightytext is more seamless in that I log in once and it maintains that for months, unless I log out.

I use the integrated messaging app on Android, Web Interface, Desktop app, and Ipad IOS app all the time. However, I agree some improvements need to be made. Of the all, android app has the best features, but it too needs some tweaking.
The Android app does not seamlessly utilize both wifi or data plans as well as cell network. In poor service area (ie my house where I have great wifi), messages are often stuck int the sending phase for a long time. And, not sure if it is related, but something is causing recipients to get repeated copies of messages (on my screen showing only once) as well as "failed" messages (with contacts actually getting).
Both the web and more so the desktop app are a little slow sending messages, which makes no sense since chatting apps have been around forever.Neither seems to sync contact info very well. But, the web app constantly signs the user out and the same rate of user account.
Lastly, the the desktop app does not sign the user out, but I can never attach images. When I want to, I sign into web interface to send. Strangely, images sync in the conversation; and, you can browse for images and it opens an edit window similar to the IOS app with options to create collage or enhance, yet the attach button does not work.
