Hi there,
Anyone knows if it's possible to have visual radio on Nokia 6630 just like there is on N70?
If so, where can I download it from?

I'm not too familiar with hen you connect the phone are there any options to choose which USB mode to connect it in? Or options from within the settings menus on the phone.
You should look for something like "Mass Storage" or "File Transfer", but not "PC Suite" or "Phone Mode".
Mass Storage or File Transfer allows the phone to mount on the desktop of the Mac, whereas Phone or PC Suite modes are used for syncing.

Nokia 6630 and Pc Suite 6.80.22

Hi, i've a problem.
This Morning i updated my old version of pcsuite 6.5 to the newer 6.80.22 .
After that i tried to connect the mobile phone by USB cable to PC using the Wizard connection. Windows finds a New Hardware but while it tries to find the right drivers for it, says that it was impossible to find driver and the hardware could not function properly.
Could someone help me to find out a solution?

YOu can choose to stick with 6.5 or manually uninstall 6.5, then boot PC and download 6.80.22 and install that.
Make sure you do not have your phone connected before you have installed and only connect when PC Suite asks you to do so.

That would be the default lock/security code.
The author was, perhaps, asking for the *#7370# or *#7780# "codes"?

Isync nokia 6630

Hey,
I have a problem with connecting iSync to my phone:
I have a macbook pro with OSX 10.4
iSync 2.4
iSync finds my nokia 6630 and adds it to the device list, and then i wanted to synchronize. That did not work and iSync send a install package to my phone to make it work.
here is the problem: the install package doe snot install, but gives an error: security error, can not install
how do i fix this?

Can Nokia 6630 Web browser be set to use MMC?

I have a Nokia 6630 and it works very well for most purposes, but I have been experiencing problems with the web browser. I like to browse the internet and save pages to my phone's memory using the Advanced option under Bookmarks. It seems that the browser uses the phone's onboard memory of 10MB, and this has often run out. I have a 512MB RS-MMC card in the memory card slot, so I have plenty of memory to spare - I have checked the contents of the card and there is plenty left, over 300MB even with all of my data. Unfortunately, I have found no way to set the Web browser so that it uses the memory card; this would give me plenty of storage. It seems strange, as I have reset many of the phone's functions to use the card e.g. camera, video and messaging.
Is there a way to set the Web browser to use the MMC card? Is there some function or code that will make the phone do this?
Also, is there any way to set the Voice Recorder to record audio of unlimited length to the memory card, or am I stuck at 1 minute?

I am currently looking to change my phone. I have currently got the Nokia 6630 and I am looking to get the Nokia 6680. Are there any main differences and are there any known issues?

6630 and 6680 are basiclly the same.the main difference is that 6630 has a 65.000 colors display opossed to the 256000 on the 6680. Also the 6680 has 2 cameras so u can see and be seen during a video call.With the 6630 u have to turn the phone in order to be seen ore use it with the 3g stand that will raise its price so even if the 6630 its a very good phone(had one for about a year without any problems, both music and videos look cool and the camera is quite impressive when anogh liht is available) i have to advice u to buy the 6680.Extra camera , better display, better looking and add to that the fact that both have the same processor and operating system.plus , the 6630 3g is quite expensive.

I have a Nokia 6630 and I want to make a software update, and need some help before doing that.
I bought the phone from Nokia agent in Egypt, and I'm living in Egypt too.
the code at the back is (0518108)?
is that code originally for middle east or not?
I mean if I update my software with this code, will I get everything as it was with all languages or not.
and If not, would I be able to at least read arabic messages?

@zicoo, The product code 0518108 for the 6630 is Arabic, try going to (Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > General > Phone language) and sellect (Arabic) from the list, also go to (Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > General > Writing language) and again sellect (Arabic) from the list. Hope this helps!

Nokia 6630 Firmware Installation

I have nokia 6630 and its o.s is not working properly and I want to reinstall its firmware but the problem is that after downloading the nokia sotware updater (NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe) and now after installing and runnig it is again asking to download firmware that is of approx 24MB
now the problem is that I have dialup connection and it have slow speed as well and for that much long I cannot connect my mobile to pc and changes are that my net will also disconnect in an hour or two
isnt it possible to download the firmware just like a standalone installation setup from PC to mobile that I can download from net using a download resumer ?

Nokia Software Updater still didnt add this feature. I guess you will have to re-download again. 6.03.40 is your latest version.
If you've trouble downloading with dial-up I would recommend that you go to any of your friends house who has a unlimited hi-speed connection and get it updated. Or you can go to your nearest NOKIA service Center and get it updated.

Hopefully NOKIA will one day add the feature of RESUME DOWNLOAD.

As obsolete phones get older more and more services cease to function, this is normal and only to be expected.
They aren't disabling services just to make you switch because after all you are free to choose any brand you wish. The reason services are withdrawn is often when usage drops below a certain level that it is no longer financially viable to keep the servers running.

Outlook 2003 & NOKIA 6630 problem with some fields...

I'm having a wierd problem, I do the PC SYNC between my NOKIA 6630 and the outlook 2003, everything is working fine except for some numbers under certain names.
I realized that the number that do not go from the phone to the outlook are the ones with a field in the mobile, where this field s not available on the outlook,
For Example:
First Name:John
Last Name:fdfdf
Mobile:01010101010
Mobile (home):93848484
Tel(home) :49834574
The outlook will take all info except the Mobile(home) firled as it is not available in the outlook.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

The only way is not to use double mobile numbers in phone because Outlook has the limitation that it thinks that a person can only have one mobile number.
It is about trial and error, use the default fields in Outlook and check that those sync to phone and then use only those fields inphone if you add a contact to phone.

I bought an Nokia 5800 and in my car i have a EGO Talk carkit. Normaly my phones ( all Nokia) connects and I can still here and use the radio and cd player but now with the 5800 there is a perfect connection and I can and use my phone but there is no radio or cd working. Not sure what's happening to your wifi connection on the phone but I do think I have a solution to your two questions about the liveleak website and the Live TV app.
Liveleak.com uses a flash player that is not compatible for the nokia phones, I checked it on my phone and it keep saying that I needed to upgrade my flash player. The nokia phones use flashlite which is not the same version as what most flash sites use and only can be viewed from a PC. The sites need to mobile content ready for you to view the content, youtube is mobile ready.
The Live Tv app is viewing DVB-H, which is if the country your in does not have it up running, then not possible to use the app. Also on a side note, to the app you need the SU-33W.
Hope this helps in answering some of the questions.

I can see all my contacts, but it looks like they can't see me, or receive my messages. I have no credit on phone, but 3 say msn messenger is free to use.
What is wrong with phone that I appear OFFLINE in MSN messenger?

N78 Visual Radio problem - stops for 5 secs then r...

Good evening,
My Nokia N78 is showing some strange behavior lately.
When I listen to Visual Radio after about 2-3 mins of playback the sound completely stops for about 5 seconds then it starts again.
Any idea about what is causing this problem? Is it software or hardware related?

I have concluded that AppleTV has some proprietary air interface/DNS issues. But I have found two fixes.
1. Deploy an Apple Airport (Express) Access Point (AP) and use that it to connect both the the ATV and your IOS device. Whatever proprietary protocol WiFi issues exist with AppleTV, they are fixed when you use an Apple AP.
2. Hardwire the AppleTV using its Ethernet port. (Preferably use a fixed IP address vs DHCP). If the ATV is too far from your router to connect via a cable try using a D-Link (DHP-302) HPNA unit that uses the house electrical wiring create an ethernet LAN. (about $70). If you have Bell Canada's brilliant wireless Fibe TV service then your are in luck. There is an ethernet port at the back of each (Motorlola 2502) Set Top Box. Plug in your ATV and all will be fine.(hats off to CC)
