NOKIA N78 VIBRATING PROBLEM

Hi...
I got a problem with my new Nokia N78.
The vibration alert is not working???
Change the vibrate alert on also change the profile settings to ON but still no vibrate alert.
Do I have a faulty phone? or am I doing something wrong?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. ^_^

Mine had that problem on the very first day (before the update came out) and it did vibrate on startup but not on silent profile with vibration "on".
But after I had it turned off and back on it started working.
I always wondered what may have caused that, I haven´t updated until today and the problem hasn´t showed since...

I bought a nokia n78 2 months ago. I realised after a month that one of the speakers was not working. After 2 months even the last working speaker went dead.
i tried reformating and even software update nothing improved.
What can be done in this circumstance

I had same problem with one of my speakers. Service is required, they should repair it to you under normal warranty circumstances.

Nokia X6 - Vibrating Problem

Hi,
I'm having an issue with my phone vibrating about every 6 minutes. This seems to have only happened after I added a calendar entry. I've since deleted that entry and now still the phone vibrates once every 6 minutes or so.
Does anyone have an issue of the phone vibrating?

I am also experiencing this. altho i dont think it is a problem but it is misleading. I have a afew apps installed and a couple of functions set up to do 'auto syncing'.the main app being google maps with latitude turned on all the time. this periodically uploads location data. other are contact syncs and one is nokia 'update check'.
Ive noticed that when ever my handset vibrates, the internet connection symbol is present on the screen.
I can not tell for certain if this is why it is doing it but its the only thing i can think of?

NOKIA N79 VIBRATION PROBLEM

I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY NOKIA N79, SOMETIME IT VIBRATES SOMETIMES NOT, THAT PROBLEM IS ONLY FOR INCOMING CALLS & MESSAGES, I HAVE CHECKED MY PROFILES, WHEN I CLICK ON VIBRATION "ON TO OFF" & AGAIN "OFF TO ON", IT VIBRATES FOR INCOMING CALL BUT ONLY ONCE, AND AGAIN IT DOESN'T VIBRATE TILL I CLICK ON VIBRATE "ON-OFF-ON OPTION", DOES ANYBODY HAVE SOLUTION???

Do you have a very hgh no. of messages stored in the phone ? If so delete as amany as possible and check..

Nokia 7370 vibration problem

i have just bought a new nokia 7370, but the vibration only seems to work on the ring and messages when it is in silent mode, despite me obviously setting it to on in all other profiles such as general and outdoor. I never hear my phone so will now miss loads of calls!
any ideas? thanks

DI dont have this fone but assume it has profiles which can be found under settings.
Enter into that and select profiles.
choose one and highlist personalise and in this you should find a vibrating alert selection. Turn it to on.
If after this it still does not work then it may be a visit to your local nokia repair centre.

i have uptadeted my nokia n78 firmware to v 20.149 through *#0000# from my wlan network zooming in photos have been stopped when i tried to update it through nokia software uptader again to solve the problem i found that latest version on it is 12.*** so i can't update it and zooming have been stopped till now please i want help in this problem quickly if some one can

Nokia N78 Bluetooth A2DP Connection Problem

My phone model is Nokia N78, type: RM 235, software version 30.011.

Nokia N78 is said to support A2DP Bluetooth connection but how can I turn on the A2DP Bluetooth connection? Can anyone help me?
I have no problem pairing and connecting my N78 to SONY DRC BT-15 but the sound I hear through the SONY device is definitely not A2DP at all. The sound sucks. When I connect my SONY DRC-BT 15 with my MacBook, I can choose to listen by Mono or Stereo Mode, and when I choose the Stereo Mode(I guess it's what we call A2DP), the sound through the SONY device is good.
So how can make the SONY headset to connect to N78 via A2DP to listen to good music?
I have been trying for hours. This problem makes me crazy.
I would really appreciate your help.

Nokia N78 Problem - Urgent

Hello,
After updating my mom's Nokia N78 firmware, the phone asks for a lock code. The code has never been changed, so we tried the default one (12345). But it didn't work. Then we tried the most common one my mom uses, in case she changed it and didn't remember. Still didn't work.
So my question is: is there any way to recover the code? And if I can't do it manually, would they do it in a Nokia shop?

P.S. I tried hard reset (* + 3 + media key + turn on) and it still asks for the code.

Lock codes can only be reset by a Nokia Care Point. They will probably require proof of ownership before they will reset it for you so do remember to bring the receipt with you.

My Nokia N78 (firm 30.011) doesn't refresh the lib...

I have Nokia N78 30.011 and a have a very annoying bug. I updated the firmware version from 20.149 to 30.011 and since then i cannot upload music to the music library. I copy it to my microSD card and put the option to refresh the music library.... and nothing. I tried to upload the music files via Nokia Music Manager and still nothing. I reinstalled the phone software but i still cannot refresh the library. The songs which are uploaded before the update are in the library but i cannot input nothing more. With my older version of the phone software i don't have such problems. Should i return my phone software to the previous version (and how)?

Hi penio, first of all try to delete these files - You can do this to rebuild the library as it is corrupted.
Restart your device and then refresh your library. If this doesn't help then;
Connect the phone to your PC/laptop and put in 'Data transfer' mode.
To delete the library files:
- Ensure you can see hidden files in Windows Explorer:
Windows Explorer .. Tools .. Folder Options .. View
Select "Show hidden files and folders"
- Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable in "Data transfer" mode
- Find and rename (or delete if you're really brave) files with names like:
E:\private\101FFC31\mpxv1.mpd
E:\private\101FFC31\pcv5.mpd
E:\private\101ffca9\harvesterdb.dat
(assuming the phone's mass memory / card has been connected as E)
Note that the folder names may be different and the files may have prefixes - eg: mpxv1.mpd could be called abcmpxv1.mpd. Basically, you need to search under the Private folder for any files that look similar.
Now just refresh the Music Player library and the job is done.
This will take longer than normal as it's a complete refresh, but it should now work.
If this doesn't work then format your memory card but copy your IMP stuff.

Nokia N78 firmware update

Whenever i choose to update my phone (N78) software, after donwload completes from internet, at around 13~15% of updgradtion process communication (USB link) with mobile phone drops and systems propts a new hardware is found (Nokia ROM Driver) but after sometime all communication is stopped and updating software keep asking for retry but nothing happens. This is also to be noted that during the whole operation i usually close all firewalls.
Can some one guide me the correct or alternative way to upgrade my cell's software?

Nokia seems to be comitted to improve the user experience... Its really good to know that... They have to do it to survive... BTW Nokia N78 latest firm ware is a little better. The operations seems to be fast.
It has just been a day with the firmware.. So far no problem... I faced a few problems while updating the USB get disconnected when the update is about to begin... but the latest software update program has all required warning... It asked me to restart my pc and my cell phone... And try again ... I did it Alas it worked ... got it updated ...
I found a few things new :
The icons for videos (The one in old version was better) and search are all new.
I am from india. I brought this phone seeing the FM transmitter option. But after i brought the phone i found it missing.
But with this software update i got the option under the music menu :-) thanks a lot nokia.
Few problems with the camera still remains... music volume has come down a bit... the gps seems to be working a little faster.

Nokia N78 - Power Saver Timeout reverts to default

I received the nokia N78 from vodafone on Saturday and set it up for the power saver to kick in after 30 seconds (from the sliding option scale of 1-90 seconds. I found that after the first couple of times of this functioning as requested it reverts back to a default of 5 seconds before going into power save. The requested 30 seconds remains in the settings but still the default overrides. I tried resetting this a number of times with identical results. I received a replacement handset today and attempted similar setups of this feature with the same identical results....It becomes very frustrating when your mid text or searching the gallery and the screen goes blank despite specific settings requested....Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how I can fix this???

NOKIA N78 GREAT BUT 3 BUGS (SO FAR)
Bug 1: On my N78 if I enable the "phone autolock period" to anything, the lights go off at 5 seconds and if I do factory defaults and do not use "phone autolock", the lights stay on as long as I set it to. Quite frustrating as I like my phone to "autolock always" if unattended or lost.
Workaround:
1) Factory defaults your Mobile and just don't use 'phone autolock'.
OR
2) A restart corrects everything temporarily, but after several timeouts, it returns to the 5 seconds setting.
Yes, it is really an annoying bug Nokia.
Bug 2: Weekly alarm; if I set a new weekly alarm for any future day and on saving it the day sets to today every time. This is just annoying.
Bug 3: With N78 ' in KEY-PAD autolocked mode', the alarm goes off when you press 'stop' for longer than a second, and surprise the message reader activates like postmaster.
Wakeup Nokia this firmware has been out for a while now and its time to come up with new firmware without bugggggggggssssssss....
Hope Nokia will come out with new bug free firmware for N78.

Nokia 5300 vibrator not working

My nokia 5300 which is 4 months old has vibrator problem . It does not work . Enabling in profile does not help. Pls suggest if it is HW or SW problwm and how to fix it

I believe there's a problem on the vibrator piece itself - maybe it's faulty?
I suggest you to send the phone to the Nokia Care Center and let them do the rest. You do not have to pay anything for this since I assume that the phone still does have a warranty intact onto it. - Just show them your warranty card and invoice if necessary.

NOKIA N78 TIME ISSUE

I just bought brand new Nokia N78 and I could not get into time and date settings at all, so I decided to update the phone and everything went ok so I got 12.046 version on... then I wanted to change time and date again and I could not get in it always puts me back to main menu ???? I have used 7370 code to reset and I got the same problem ?
What should I do ?

actually the correct code would be *#7370#
now keep in mind that you will lose all your data so make sure you do a back up prior.
1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.

Nokia 6600i Speaker problems!

i love this phone but my god... what's wrong with the speaker?
When i play music through the music player it's insanely loud, which is perfect! but when i recieve a text message or someone calls me, the volume is very low... i have put everything on max and for some reason it doesn't fix the problem.
Music player: speaker is loud
Someone calling me: speaker is low
is this a bug within the firmware? will this be fixed? did i just waste my money?

This Nokia 6600i I would say is NOKIA FAILURE PRODUCT sold in the market. I sold my Motorola Rokr Z6 to get this piece of worth less phone. I've regret purchasing this Nokia useless phone. My Motorola Rokr Z6 was much better than Nokia 6600i. Only set back was the smaller screen size. That's why I change to Nokia 6600i
If Nokia can make so many phone, they MUST BE ABLE to solve this volume & vibrator problem. Dont ever tell me Symbian 40 cant make ringtone volume louder. If Nokia can produce Nokia 7230 (running on Symbian 40) with such LOUD ringtone, why cant 6600i. I like 6600i for its design and large screen with slim profile. But now I'm going back to Motorola no matter even Nokia can make the volume louder in their upcoming model.
Previously Nokia care for their customer. Now seems like they wanna make money with new model every month...
By the way, Nokia personnel, are you reading all messages in dicussion forum?
