Notes.app craches after all attempts to fix it

Hello everyone
This is without precedent. I've searched the web and tried all solution but the Notes.app keeps crashing after upgrading to 7.1.2 (ipad 3).
I've tried:
1. Terminating it through the switcher and relaunching it
2. Terminating it through the switcher + switching the device off on
3. Terminating it through the switcher + Hard reset (Both sleep and home buttons pushed for 15 sec)
4. Terminating it through the switcher + General>Reset>Reset all settings
5. General>Reset>Reset all setting and erase all content without restoring back up
6. Tried again with a back up
7. Tried again without setting any iCloud account so that it doesn't sync any notes from the itunes nor from iCloud
8. Been renaming/changing all my notes in case of one causing the crash but case 7. makes it irrelevant
9. Restore and chose Set a New iPad, no iCloud account, no nothing, and still crashing
Im pretty much an advanced user, used to fix my own stuff as for recovering a restriction password for exemple but that.... is one study case. Has anyone a clue?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

After 50 mins i can see that all records are updated but...
plsql code does not end its execution it continues even after all records are updated..untill i have to kill the session or let be run for long time.. :(
I can not understand why this it is not ending execution..
What could be the problem ...

IPhone apps not opening - have tried all the usual fixes

A few days ago I got my iPhone unlocked from my provider (Telstra) as I am about to travel and wanted to put a country specific sim in it. Since then no non-Apple apps have worked.
I have tried (many times) to :-
1. restore from a previous backup (plus multiple syncs) and using different backups
2. delete an app and reinstall it
3. download a new free app (and when that didn't work I deleted it and retried installing it)
4. sign in and out of the app store on the iphone
5. sign in and out of the app store on my iMac
6. de-authorise and re-authorise my iMac
7. wipe the iPhone clean and start with a fresh install
8. And reset the device too many times.
Nothing I have found on any site has worked. I thought the wipe the phone clean would have done it but it hasn't.I have wasted about 20 hours trying to get this thing working again.
If I wasn't going on vacation tomorrow I would be at my provider getting them to fix their mess but I can't.
Can anyone help? Please?

Further - the AppleId I am using is the one I first started with years ago - where all my music and app purchases have been made. Signing out of this AppleId and then signing in using my "me.com" address and downloading an app under this address allows the new app (and only the new app) to work. And it continues to work when I sign out and sign back in with the original AppleId.
This is really annoying as I have heaps of paid apps that aren't working.

Iphoto will not import some jpeg files after many attempts to 'fix"

I have scande images into my iphoto until i updated to iphoto 9. now it does not import jpeg for some reason. some jpegs are more equal than other how ever some go in some do not. So what is wrong with iphoto 9 and do i need to reset some profile something somewhere.
mac book pro 17 standard edition no mods 2.6 intel core 2 duo 4 gigs memory 1067 mhz ddr3
files are saved to desk top folder as a jpeg in either color or black and white using the system Image Capture software.
1) the error is -20
2) i tried importing some old files in and out they seem to work
3) shut down restarted and tried again no joy with the scanned images
4) all images are openable by preview and can be changed to tiff
5) iphoto allows tiff in but not the jpeg or any kind
6) upgraded to iphoto 9 and this started is there a profile file i should through away and what is the implications of doing this ? i have many thousands of photos i do not want to lose.
i need to use jpeg format for my family and work.
any suggestoins.
7) rand disk permission repair from install disk no problems
8) should i start in safte mode and do a PR reset.

1 - iPhoto does not accept grayscale images - they must be RGB even if the photo is B&W
2 - sometimes opening a photo in preview and doing a save as and then importing the new JPEG will resolve this type of problem

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

Webplayer; still not working properly after all theese years

Dehellu, I've posted about this problem for mor then 1½ years ago and it is still persistent. Why doesnt Spotify offer a real helpdesk or support? This "support" forum is ridiculous to solve problems at this level. I get that it's good for the small problems like installing the freaking software and help with creating new playlists for elders, but this, is just embarrissing on a whole new level. I login to the windows client, all my lists look fine and the songs I've dropped into the specific lists are where they're suppossed to be.  BUT to my amaze, when I use the webclient the list I want to listen to at that specific moment contain different songs from the standalone client. Songs that has never been in there. If you who read this look at the pictures I've attached to this thread and compare the playlists in the standalone client in widnwos and the web client in chrome. Yes to the following questions;I've tried different browsersI've tried different computers at different locations in Stockholm.It is only with my own account, the one I'm writing from at this moment the playlists gets messed up.I've created new accounts and on those accounts the playlists work across all platforms. I am sorry if I sound in text as grumpy. But it's been a problem for atleast 2 years since it took me half a year to even post on this forum about it in the first place. My account was created in the early days of Spotify back when it was new and it requierd invites in order to use it. Scrannel, it is useless for him to waste his time to contact Rogers, they will tell him to contact BlackBerry and that they do support this kind of problem, the only problem they deal with is when it is related to their network and that is it

My iPod will NOT restore, even after 100 attempts!

So here's how it goes: I have attempted to restore my iPod literally 100 times (I have counted), and each time, only the Apple logo shows up. The actual iPod screen itself does NOT light up, and no matter how long I leave my iPod plugged into my USB ports (I have tried all three) on my laptop, nothing happens. Meanwhile, if I unplug my iPod from my laptop and then plug it back in, iTunes will recognize that my iPod is in need of restoration, and then it begins all over again! PLEASE HELP!!

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Outlook will not launch properly after initial attempt at setting up Exchange e-mail

I initially posted this on the general Outlook forum, but they said it was an Exchange problem so I should post it here for an answer.
I recently had to wipe my laptop and perform a clean install of Win 7 Home Professional 64 Bit. I re-downloaded and installed my Office Suite (University 2010 ... basically everything in Professional), and can access everything except Outlook. I
attempted to set up my school e-mail on it (which I have successfully set up on my desktop), but it wouldn't connect to the server. It wouldn't let me cancel the set up, and now every time I try to open Outlook I get this error message:
The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Yes, I've verified I'm online. :)
When I click OK, a new window pops up that says "Microsoft Exchange" and has my server and mailbox info, with a "check name" button. When I click the check name, I get the same error as above; occasionally Outlook will hang in "not
responding" and I have to force close the program.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Office, but no change (I'm guessing there were some registry files or something that hung around and keep trying to get back in). I've tried going to Control Panel > Mail > E-mail Accounts and removing the

I set it up exactly like I did in Outlook on my desktop computer. At this point I just want to get the account info off Outlook so I don't have to deal with it, even though I won't be able to check my school e-mail from my laptop without going through
the 4 steps it takes to log in through the school website.

Just had a thought, is there anything on the desktop I can copy and paste it into a folder on my desktop so that I know it's set up correctly? I'm 99.999% sure I did it the same way, but that's the only foolproof way I can think of to make absolutely
sure, and figured it was worth a shot.

Bad hard disks may not be dead after all.

and as a result, have found a way of 'saving' the original G5 disk, which to all intents and purposes was dead and buried.
I have a working PC and came across a software application called ''HDD Regenerator''. This scans for and repairs 'bad sectors' which were found on the disk in question. There were a fair few of them.
These were 'fixed' by the regenerator and since then I have used this disk as a backup. It works well and have had no problems with it since.
This procedure is worth one's while if you can knobble someone with a pc and get this sftware. It is a straight-forward and a fairly quick application.
Bad sectors were a common ocurrance/factor with older hdds.
B.S. are areas of the disk that are bad, ie. damaged or have lost their ability to keep their 'identity' - a negative or positive charge - a one or a zero - . Most of the windows OSs can and do have a utility to write a 'warning' or set a flag thus preventing data from being written to these areas. This is termed as recovering bad sectors.
One has to initiate this procedure with older drives whereas with present disks it is done by the hdd itself.
I do not know if the Apple OSs have this capability/utility built into them or are hidden somewhere - to write warnings about BS - but think not.
The hdd that I had in the G5[2005] was 'old', comparitively.
don't give up on that 'dead' hard disk. It may be repairable.

Just as an addendum: The software mentioned Hdd Reg. is designed _specifically to do a very specialised job. I wonder if DW and Techtool aren't ''really'' up to this level of ability.
BS can not be skipped.
They must be isolated and there must be a definitive warning to prevent data being written to these ''individuals'.
I do appreciate your caution and concern regarding the reliability of a regenerated disk, but weighing up the outcome thus farm with my experience has led me to the continual useage of HDD regenerator and seemingly failing disks.
There are 2 reasons why a disk will have BS. One is: the armature that picks up and delivers data[reads and writes] is causing actual physical damage to the surface of the hd and usually in this case a drive will fail within a short space of time anyway. The other reason for BS, is poor quality materials used at the 'molecular' level. The 'bits' of data are stored on a material that is/can be magnetic - thus 0, 1 - or positive and negative -ie. an electrical charge -. if the charge will not or does not hold or the area just becomes 'unusable' because of these inconsistancies - data cannot be written here in a 'true' manner- it becomes and is a BS.
This is only a synopsis about BS and the potential for BSes.

My I-phone 4S will not turn on after failed attempt to Restore

Dear Anyone who could possibly help me,
Today I opened up my I-tunes and plugged in my I-phone; I selected the "Restore I-phone" option because I wanted to restore my I-phone back to its original state as when I first recieved it. I selected "Restore" and began the process. After the play menu of Itunes said something along the lines, "Restoration Complete" and went on to load other things that are suppposed to follow a restoration, I was called away. Since my I-phone was not completely through doing the restoration and other loading, I did not shutdown my my computer. Instead I closed the top down shut - which now I regret because I think closing my computer shut it what started the entire mess.
When I returned to my I-phone and viewed my Itunes, it said something like, "Restoration Failed" and then two small screens came up telling me the restoration did not complete. So, I unplugged my I-phone and turned it off. Now every single time I turn it back on, the screen of my I-phone has the Itunes icon saying "itunes" under it, and there is an white arrow under the icon that is pointing to the icon itself. Under the arrow, there is the picture of my plug in, (the same plug in we use to sync music and other data from our Itunes to our I-phone.)
I have tried holding down the home button while continuing to press down the on button and this same screen pops up. Even when I try to plug it in, the only that happens is I hear the sound it makes when I plug in my I-phone, but it will not show up in my Itunes. Nothing has worked and I am all out of ideas.
What can I do to turn my I-phone back on so that I can hopefully restore my I-phone and reload my music, applications and other things?

i had changed my apple id 4x these past few days. however i finally decided to use my first id. now whenever i want to download via app store, theres a pop-out saying:'this apple id has not yet been connected to iTunes'
how can i conect to iTunes without using credit card due to i ont have one.

You cannot install any apps at all without entering a credit card now - or without creating yet another new Apple ID. If you did not want to use a credit card with your Apple ID, there is a very specific way that you have to create the account. If you don't or didn't follow those steps exactly, you have no choice now but to enter a credit card - or create a new Apple ID without the credit card.
If you create a new Apple ID, you will also need another email address since you have already associated your current email address to the ID that needs a credit card. You also have to sign out of your ID in Settings>iTunes and App Stores before you can create anothe Apple ID.

Credit Karma app crashes after all troubleshooting steps

I got the Credit Karma app a few days ago on my iPhone 4S and it's never worked for me. As soon as I log in it crashes
I did all the troubleshooting steps
- have the lastest iOS version
- turned phone off and on
- deleted app and reinstalled it
- restored iPhone as a new phone
When I restored my phone as new I downloaded it again, and it still crashed.
The same app works on my brothers phone, he has a 4S too
Anyone know what the problem could be?

Hard drive not the cure after all

I had a suspected hard drive failure last week

New drive in put osx in all seemed cool, I put ilife 09 in all cool, put iwork 09 in had it check permissions and it repaired some. I then whent online to do my new install software updates and now no restart!
It froze in grey screen with the spinner going.I shut it down to do a restart with osx disk in and push down c and it Acts like I lost video card.
I have tone, lights,no codes, no video, doesn't matter how I do the restart no video.
If i push c the disk drive speeds up and if I push opt I dont hear any difference but when I push the power button to shut it down it shuts down immediately not the normal hold down power button for a few seconds.
Now what are the odds I lost a hard drive 1 week and 3 days later lost the video card?
Should I be worried this is something more than the card? oh yes reseated it 3 times , got in there with a flashlight to be sure nothing was bent out of place.

I tried it and no difference. I got a call in to the guy I bought this used from he seems to be involved in a couple different advertising operations and gets the systems when they upgrade. He's looking to see if he has a g-5 card I can borrow to see if this is my problem.
On the network,I only have the 1 mac and 2 pc's. I have always been able to access either pc with the mac but have never been able to see the mac on "my network" with either pc.
Beginning to wonder if I damaged card when I changed the fan, not sure how and the old card was just noisy not dead.
When I get a card in it I'll post if I'm up and running or if I have to start begging the budget boss lady to budget in a new mac.
