Notes double spacing

Cursor is small at top of notes further down cursor  becomes large and then becomes double spacing and cannot go back to single spacing in notes

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

  • Day events & day notes "double spaced" in printing

Since updating clients to Oracle Calendar v10, day events & day notes are doubled spaced on printing. Formerly, while users could list four or five events or notes below the day in question (on week view), now they can only print three; more than three and an overflow page is generated.
I just tested, and the problem persists with 10.1.2 (MacOS X 10.4.3). Is this a deliberate change?

Hi Guys, actually there's a SAP note,
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lcyZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1268743
It's happening in some weird moments, it's absolutely random and is happening in 2005 and 2007.
Well, by now a lot of flags to control this, by the way in PL44 and PL46 are not listed this note as solved.

  • .java files appear double spaced in Jdeveloper IDE.

After checking for updates and not finding what I was looking for, all .java files appear double spaced in the Code Editor. I can't find project property that seems to control this. The files appear fine when opened with other editors.

How does the file show up in notepad or vi? How does it show up in firefox?
You might want to evaluate the file with an ASCII reader to see if there are any extra line breaks in the code.
Also are some of the developers on linux/unix and some on windows?

  • Preview Doesn't Display Double Spacing In Documents

Is there a way to display double spacing in preview? It shows up when the document is viewed in Pages and Open Office.

    Hi, Guy Burns,
What is the resolution of the images you try to enlarge?
    My guess:
If the resolution of your images is lower then 2560 wide (your screen resolution), the window will open with the exact size and resolution of the picture (for instance 1920 wide). i.e. One pixel on your screen equals one pixel of your picture. You can indeed enlarge the window and zoom in, but then you are enlarging pixels, the image will get less sharp.
The "Scale large images to fit window" function, is meant for "large images" as the name implies, so images with a larger resolution then your screen resolution. With this function, you can reduce the size of images that would otherwise not fit entirely on your screen, to the necessary size to view the whole picture as big as possible. So this function does not work if the "scale" is 100% or more.
In slideshow mode however, there's a function to automatically adapt the size of smaller images to "full screen", and also "quicklook" (spacebar) supports full screen mode.

  • TextEdit not remembering spacing

    Hi, all,
I've been using TextEdit as my primary word processing app since I bought my first iMac about a month or so ago. I'm trying to save files in .doc format, with double-spacing, but when I reopen them in TextEdit the double-spacing is gone. All of the other formatting (italics, etc.) is still there. It's just the spacing that's being forgotten. Can anyone help me with this?
    ~Chris

You are not going to find a stand alone install of the TextEdit software. It is not made available without reinstalling the OS through Recovery.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
If you have a Time Machine Backup or a Local snapshot you can restore from that source.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4878
It could be a corrupt plist and you can delete it. Reboot to automatically generate a new plist:
    Delete the com.apple.Terminal.plist
use Finder>Go>Go to Folder>  copy and paste:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist
delete the plist and reboot your machine.

  • How do I stop double spacing when hitting enter. It just seems to have started doing so itself.

I am updating contact information within a page and when I hit enter I get double spacing. I have always gotten a single space as I need now when hitting enter I get a double space. I can find no way to correct this problem. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    KAHSR

  • If I hit enter to go to a new line it's double spaced(BUG)

if I hit enter to go to a new line it's double spaced even thought it's set to single space.
in the inspector "T" the "LINE" says 1 and single. I can change the line spacing to look like 1 by sliding it down to 0.01 to look like 1 of single but that's pretty tedious.
    So it's a bug yeah?
The part that's messed up was add in from notes app which is the problem I'm guessing. Still it's a bug.
I've tried copying into a new pages doc and still no go.
    Anyway ideas around this bug?
    thanks

Probably just had an extra return at the end of paragraph, which is a common style in Notes.

  • Double spaced address in Word in Office 365 (Word 2014)

I am trying to print an envelope. My brand spanking new Office 365 insists on double spacing the lines in the envelope address. There do not appear to be formatting options in the Envelope popup screen. Any idea how to correct this? Step by step instructions
    would be nice.
What fool made double space the default setting for this field?

    Hi,
Do you mean the Delivery Address field in the Envelopes and Labels window?
Did you hit Enter when you want to change to a new line? If so, please try to hit Shift + Enter when you want to change the line.
If you want to make the change permanently, you need to change the Paragraph settings first and make the paragraph settings as default. See a same issue discussed here:

    Hope this helps.

  • I would like to change the spacing between the words for the product names, they look double spaced at present.

A simple question I think, I would like to change the spacing between the words for the product names, they look double spaced at present. On the home page, and product pages. Not sure where to change this in the css here is the site; http://top10shop.businesscatalyst.com

That site is using an old font technology called cufon, it uses canvas to draw the text into the font you want. Not really good for modern websites.
It is what the font was and how it was made. I never used Cufon but the documentation is here - Usage · sorccu/cufon Wiki · GitHub At a glance there are no render options for the double spacing so I am guessing it was how the font was generated.
I would scrap all of that completely tbh.

New Pages is double spacing after enter again- can't find the area in inspector that allows you to change paragraph format...help?

The "new" Pages is missing just about everything.
Your best best is to go back to the old Pages (mavericks puts in in your applications folder in IWorks.
Apple told me that based on input from users they will add back some missing features back but I suspect that will take a long time if ever.
They (Apple) say they created a new Pages to make it work seamlessly on various devices.
But in doing so they've dumbed down the programs to where they're nearly useless.
Any new users who don't know what "old" Pages could do will probably be satisfied.
But those of us who use this program to do real publishing should send feed back to Apple.
Apple has decided that we are "heavy" users and not representative of the majority of their customers.
That's why I suspect that putting back the features in Pages will not be top priority.
But just in case they really do read the feedback send them your opinions and feature requirements and just maybe if enough people squawk they'll at least put the old Pages back in the App Store (it's gone now).
One possibility crossed my mind. If the new OS Yosemite can mirror devices, perhaps we'll be able to mirror the old pages on to our IOS devices than you could have the full capability of Pages and the connivence of an IPad or IPhone.
    Wouldn't that be awesome?
At least in the presentation, it looked like it could work, we'll see.

  • How can I paste a double spaced document in Mail and keep it double spaced?

I need to paste a double spaced novel into the body of the email. I can't send the document via attachment or any other way. When I paste it returns to single spaced even if I paste and match style. Can someone help?

I don't see any such option to set spacing. I think your only choice would be reformatting the document such that you have to enter two linefeeds instead of setting spacing because  Mail will not honor the normal RTF spacing.

  • Double Spacing Footnotes

The spacing for notes in the Inspector uses "pts" not standard Double or Single spacing. I do not know how many "pts" corresponds to notes being double spaced. I am trying to format my thesis and the rules are that the notes be single spaced within and double spaced between. I have trouble telling how my notes are spaced.

You can't specify line spacing in email messages. With a list, just hit return twice to insert a blank line, though this isn't a satisfactory solution with a paragraph of text because the wrapping mucks it up.

  • Double spacing issue when pasting text from Pages

I have a Pages document with text that frequently paste into a message that is generated by the Dropbox iOS app when I choose the e-mail option within Dropbox iOS app.
I'm trying to figure out why when I paste the Pages text above the defaut Dropbox message the spacing between paragraphs is fine, but when I paste it below the default text generated by the Dropbox iOS app when e-mailing a link to a file, the spaces between paragraphs is doubled.
It seem to be some phantom formatting in my Page document beause I tested by pasting a long e-mail below the Dropbox text and it's still single spaced. For some reason my Pages text goes from single spaced to double spaced when I paste it below that default message that Dropbox iOS generates when you attempt to e-mail a file link.

Thanks, but this feature doesn't seem to work in iOS.
The Pages document was created in Pages for OSX, but stored in iCloud. I usually e-mail links using the Dropbox iOS app and copy text from Pages iOS and want to paste into the e-mail created by Dropbox iOS. When I paste the text below the Dropbox link, the paragraphs are double spaced.
