Notification for workitems that affect particular configuration items

Is there any way to setup a notification that emails out if more than a certain amount of workitems affecting a configuration item are created in a specific time frame.  For example I would like to create a notification when 3 or more workitems affecting
a particular configuration item  or a set of configuration items are created within a week.  Is this possible?

There are a bunch of different options to do this, but they're all kinda complex custom workflows. if you're familar with the authoring tool, Powershell, Orchestrator, the OM SDK, etc, then you should be able to do this.
the best option that occurs to me off the top of my head is adding a workflow or runbook that
reacts to the creation of an AffectsConfigItem relationship, looks at all of the other relationships that target that CI, and sends a notification if there are more then three in the last 7 days.

  • I keep getting notifications for emails that disappear

I have been regularly getting notifications for emails that disappear. After a purchase, maybe, I'll see a brief notification pop-up in the upper right part of my screen announcing an expected email has arrived. I go to Apple Mail and it's not there. Now I go back to the notifications icon at the upper right and the notification that just popped up is nowhere to be found.
    This is driving me crazy.
I've rebuilt my Mail indexes, I've quit and restarted, and I've tried various search methods. Nothing finds the missing emails. Yes, I'm looking in trash and junk. Yes, I've tried to use Spotlight.
What the heck is going on?

  • Server showing non compliant for a no longer targeted Configuration Item

    Hi all,
I have a server that was removed from a collection which had a DCM baseline targeted to it.  It is still showing non compliant for Configuration items that were targeted at the old collection.  (which is correct, it isn't compliant but it isn't supposed
to be).  I am trying to create a collection based on non compliant items but this server keeps showing up where it shouldn't be.  is there anyway to 'flush' all the compliance information and let the client rebuild it?
    thanks
    -cornasdf
    http://cornasdf.blogspot.com

The collection is based on a WQL query that basically says, where the configuration item name = x and state <> compliant.
I have several of these where the servers that are non compliant fall into a collection that has an advertisement that remediates them.
The difficulty here is that I have a collection of BackEnd servers, based on IP Subnet.  That collection has a DCM Baseline targeted at it that checks for non compliance on specific items.  When building
some new servers, we connected to hte wrong network for a couple of days, so they were in the included in BackEnd Servers collection which handed out the baseline.  We disconnected that link and the servers have fallen out of that collection.  The
baseline no longer shows in teh control panel app.
But in my compliance collections, it still shows up as non compliant for that Conf Item.
I have a work around in place.  actually two.  The first was to just delete the client and let it reinstall.  That worked but seems heavy handed.  Secondarily, i narrowed my query by collection,
ie the query for non compliance now is limited to the collection where I apply the baseline.  this is somewhat limiting for future instances (and shouldn't be necessary).
it seems like a bad enough design flaw that I assumed I must be missing something pretty obvious.  if I remove a server from a collection w/ a baseline, it shouldn't still be non compliant for things non longer targeted to it.

  • Extended Notification for Workitems

    Hi,
we need to configure the SWNCONFIG for Extended  Notifications.
We have already made some steps but the report  SWN_SELSEN does not work. He says there are 0 WorkItem to be sent.
We should send an email with links to step inside the workitem (Approve, Reject ....)
    Regards

    >We have already made some steps
And these steps are? Did you include the task IDs, for which you want to send the notifications, to the configuration? DO you have new work items in the system to test the report?

  • Email Notification for IDOC that delayed 20 minutes

    Dear All,
I am trying to setup an email notification that to detect the IDOC from when it have been created, when it have elapsed for 20mins, the system will send an email to the person incharge.
       Is this possible ?
       I am currently using R/3 SAP 4.7 & Solution Manager 7.0.
    Best Regards,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,
I have not much experience in SAP R/3 system. But while working in XI I get connected to R/3 systems. Whenever an Idoc is created, the date and time of creation are stored in  a table within the system. Most probably the name of the table is EDIDC-CREDAT and EDIDC-CRETIM. Now you need an ABAP code which runs continuously is background and will take inputs from these tables and compare with current system time. If the diffrence in time is more than 20 mins emails will be triggerred by the program. The list of email-id's can be obtained from another table. If you need to know about ABAP codes for triggerring emails then you can have a look at the below link
Get count of the messages to particular Interface in a day and send email

  • Getting notifications for apps that no longer exist

Other than deleting the app (which I don't wanna do), is there any other way to get App Store to stop displaying the "1" badge?  It's rather annoying, especially when the app is no longer available to be updated.

Try closing the App Store app completely and then re-open it to see if it refreshes the available updates : from the home screen (i.e. not with App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • SCSM Configuration Item Class

I'm new to SCSM.  I have an environment setup that's importing Configuration Item data from Active Directory and SCCM.  Is there a way within a Configuration Item to see what Class it belongs to?   Or can I perform a search based off of a
CI Class? Or is that not how it works?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shawn

    Dieter,
Thank you for the response.  I will explore the Advanced Search area.
What I'm really attempting to accomplish is to understand how the CI module of SCSM functions and how does everything come together.  For example,  I created a view of computers with the query Display Name contains "XYZ".  Within
the view it has a record named "XYZ01".  On this record the Asset Status is NULL so I set it to "Purchased".  Click OK and all is well.  I then go "All Windows Computer" and do a search of "XYZ" and it
finds a record for "XYZ01.fqdn.com".  When I open that record it does NOT have the Asset Status that I previously saved.  With the Principal Name being the FQDN it appears that these two records are in fact different when I expected them
to be the same.   The history tab of both records are distinctly different too.
What I was looking for was to display the "class" of the records to see if that would help me make sense of what I was looking at.
    Thanks,
    Shawn

  • Mail sending new message notifications for Old Messages

    Hi,
Since upgrading to Mavericks I've been having a ton of problems with the Mail App.
I'm running on a Macbook Pro (13-inch Early 2011 Model) with 4gb of RAM and OS at version 10.9
I have Mail connected to two different accounts 1 Gmail and one Exchange. The recently released "Mail Update" has not fixed these issues.
The primary issue is that every time I have Mail open it constantly pops up notification badges to say that I have new messages. In fact it is sending these notifications for messages that are in most cases months old. Moreover even after confirming these the next day it will repeat this for the same exact messages. I've attempted to rebuild the index by deleting the Envelope files in the Library as suggested in another discussion topic. This didn't correct the problem. The result of this beyond the annoyance of having the notifications constantly popping us is it also seem to make my system grind to a halt - while it is parsing these sometime 100's - of notifications.
I believe related to this (but not clear) is that in many cases delivery of messages to my exchange account is very very delayed. I will receive a message on my iPhone Mail app sometimes hours before it syncs into my Laptops Mail app (even with attempts at Manually checking mail.)
Anyone have any suggestions on how to repair this issue?
    Thanks a ton,
    Mark

    Try this:
Go into Preferences -> General and uncheck the box that says "Play sounds for other mail actions".
I'm not sure if it will work since that's really still "new" mail, but it might be worth trying.

  • Stop Update Notifications for Apps beyond my OS

I'm using an iPhone 3G whose iOS only goes up to 4.2.1. Currently I have 18 app update notifications, but they're all for updates that require 4.3 or higher. Is there any way I can get it to stop notifiying me of these?
    Thanks.

I'd like it to still notify me if an update comes that I can use. I just want to remove notifications for apps that I can't update on my phone.

  • Search for Configuration Items

    Hello all,
Hopefully I am asking this question in the correct forum as I wasn't quite sure.  I have a question that I can't seem to find a good answer on the internet and was hoping someone can help me.
When you have something like an SR, you have the Related Items field where you can add someone as a Configuration Item.  Is there a way to search for people in there when looking for tickets?  So if I type into the search bar John Doe, I am only
getting things that he is affected user on and not the related user on.
The reason is that we get audited and the audit teams need to be able to easily find tickets related to a particular user.  So right now, if the service desk gets a request to add 10 users to a group they are making 10 individual SRs to get that affected
user.  That way when the auditor goes into the ticketing system and types John Doe, they get the single SR where he was added.  I am trying to simplify this for the service desk and save them time but I still need a simple search for the auditors.
    Thank you.

Correct forum, but it looks like is by desgin.
Thank you for the answer.  I was hoping that wasn't the case and it was just something I didn't know how to do.

  • Email notifications for UWL items from the GP System

    Hi,
How can I activate the notifications for tasks created in UWL, but by connector type?
I know that the notifications can be activated in System Administration » System Configuration » UWL » Workflow » Engine | Mail, the problem is this will be applied to all notifications from all connectors, and I only want to apply to connector of Guided Procedures, and not to tasks to connector of ECC system.
    Thanks,
    John

I'm not aware of any setting to prevent the Apple's receipt to be sent.
If you bought a mix of purchase item and free item, the will appears on the same receipt. Instead of considering them as spam, you can consider them as "a way to recall which apps you dowloaded in case something wrong happen".
Personally, I have created a folder called "receipts" and simply send these mails to this folder.

  • To Set Goods Receipt Indicator For Particular Line Items In SRM

    Hi All,
i am working on BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI in SRM. i am trying to set the goods receipt indicator for particular line items based upon certain conditions. The values are being set in the badi. But when the Purchase Order is created in the backend R/3 i coudn't able to find the goods receipt indiactor being set..
i used this field to set the GR indicator
      GR_IND = 'X'.  " Goods Receipt Indicator
Can anyone help me in this?
    helpfull answers will be rewarded....
    Thanks,
    Murali

    To Murali and Christophe,
I have set the GR and GR non val indicator in CREATE_PO BADI but I face the following situation :
    problem -
In case of multiple account assignment in the shopping cart, the R/3 transaction ME21N sets these flags.
The flag status determined as per EBP conditions is lost.
I need to retain the flag status as per EBP conditions even in this multiple account assignment scenario.
    proposed solution -
    - CREATE PO badi is already implemented in EBP and customised logic for GR and GR non valflag is in place.
    - I create user exit in R/3 backend system in ME21N transaction
    - I make RFC call in this user exit to EBP and check the table BBP_PDPSET for the shopping cart.
This is how I get the flag status as per EBP conditions and copy the same to R/3 thereby overriding the multiple account assignment check of the R/3 system.
    issue -
When I tried to verify that I can check the BBP_PDPSET table from R/3, I found that this table is not having entries for all the records in  CRMD_ORDERADM_I table.
For which shopping carts will the BBP_PDPSET table not  be populated ?
    thank you in advance,
    Bhakti.

  • Using Echo Command in PowerShell Script for Configuration Item

    Hello All,
Before you tell me to post my PowerShell question to the PowerShell Forum, please know that the PowerShell portion of my task works just fine. It is the SCCM portion of my task that keeps failing, so that is why I am here. To give some background...
There are two servers in our SCCM test environment. Both the SCCM server and SQL DB server are 2012, patched and updated.
Test servers in my Device Collection being used for running Baselines and Reports against are 2008R2 and 2012, patched and updated.
I have created a Configuration Item that checks to see if the FTP Server Role Feature has been installed on a 2008 or 2012 server. To do the check, I am using the following PowerShell script:
    (get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed
When I log into my 2008R2 and 2012 test servers, and run this command directly on the server, it will return a "True" if the FTP Server Role Feature is installed on either server, and a "False" if it is not installed. Basically,
    it works as advertised.
When I setup my Configuration Item and then deploy my Baseline, or run a report against my device collection of test servers, SCCM will return a correct response (True or False) for the 2012 test server, but throws the following error for the 2008R2
    server:
0x87df00329 application requirement evaluation or detection failed
Google searches for this have not been very helpful.
Now, when I created the Configuration Item and referenced PowerShell, the configuration screen has the following note:
"Specify the script to find and return the value to be assessed for compliance on client devices. Use the echo command to return the script value to Configuration Manager."
Since I did not include an echo command in my PowerShell script above, I figured that was my problem, so I did the following:
Logging onto both of my test servers (2008R2 & 2012) I was able to successfully run the following PowerShell commands and get the expected responses of True or False:
    (get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | echo
    (get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | write-output (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh849921.aspx)
    (get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | write-host (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee177031.aspx)
However, when I use any of these PowerShell commands in my Configuration Item, NEITHER of my test servers returns a response to the SCCM server.
When I check the report, both servers show as "Unknown" and when I click on the number 2 (as in 2 servers unknown), the following report page (List of unknown assets for a configuration baseline) has absolutely no data/information at all.
    So...I am at a loss.
SCCM tells me to use an echo command to return a script value to Configuration Manager. The PowerShell scripts above, with the various echo related commands, work just fine on the servers themselves, but they return no information when run via SCCM.
    What am I missing?
    Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't understand. (I forgot to mention that I am new at both PowerShell and SCCM.)
After I change the PowerShell script to add the echo/write-output/write-host cmdlet, I open the ConFig Item and "Clear" the PowerShell script and then re-add it. When I do that, it correctly shows the change in the ConFig Item.
Next I open the Baseline, then open the ConFig Item within the Baseline to make sure the change is reflected there as well, which it is.
I then deploy the Baseline to my Device Collection. After that, I run a report against the Baseline and Device Collection and it returns the "Unknown" result.
If I open the PowerShell script and remove the echo/write-output/write-host cmdlet, then go through the rest of the process of updating and reporting, the result it returns changes, showing one server in compliance and the other server out of compliance,
which leads me to think that all changes have taken correctly.
Does that sound right? If I manually deploy the Baseline, is that the same as the client retrieving policies from the management point?
Sorry to be so thick but I'm learning as I go.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Payment terms  for particular line item

    Hi gurus
i have defined payment terms and assigned to customer master, when ever i am creating sales order payment terms are getting in the sales order if i want to change the payment terms for particular line item what is need to be done
    please let me know asap
    thanks n regards
    srinvias

    Hi,
    There are few ways:
    - You need to check in respective Item Category, the field "Business Item data" should be unchecked, this will allow you to change the Payment Terms at Item Level.
-Even if the above settings are not being done, you can have the Payment terms fetched from Condition record maintained for that item. Mind that you need to maintain the Payment terms in Condition Records of the pricing of the item.
Do reward answers with suitable points.

  • Extended Notification for UWL + Change the description of task/workitem

    Hi,
I have implemented the Extended notification for UWL and I am getting the emails in outlook. Now the requirement is to customize the body of the email completely for the task '12300096'.
I have tried going to PFTC->Description but it does not have full text which I am getting in the email. I tried SE63 also. But in the email I am getting
The following work item requires processing in your SAP Workflow inbox in system xxx.
    <Task description>
Log on to this system and process the work item.
If you have problems logging on to the system, contact your system administrator.
    Now I want to remove the following lines;
The following work item requires processing in your SAP Workflow inbox in system xxx.
Log on to this system and process the work item.
If you have problems logging on to the system, contact your system administrator.
I don't find from where it's coming - please let me know how to remove these lines so that I can add my text in SE63.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Go to SWNCONFIG -> General settings.
There you have TEXT_GOTO_INBOX - DTSWN_MSG_GOTO_INBOX. (I am not sure if this was the correct one, but you should check all the texts in general settings, if this was not the correct one.)
Now open dialog text SWN_MSG_GOTO_INBOX in SE61 (you see that you need to remove the prefix DT from the name). Here is your text. You can make your own Z-version of a dialog text in SE61, and then use that in SWNCONFIG general settings.
