Notifications through mail
Hi,
Can notifications generated to employees/supervisors or HR administrators when
An employee is due for a promotion (a week ahead or so)
A transfer is executed on an employee (after he has reported in a new location)
A new training event is created in the training event catalog
Is such a facility available in standard SAP? Will this be triggerd to the Universal Worklist in the ESS? Is there any integration to be done between ECC and Microsoft Outlook if the employee wants to reach it to his inbox?
Please explain.

As Remi said notifications can be set up via setting up the date of promotion in IT 0019 & doing the SMTP Setting .
Check with you Basis administrator for SMTP Configuration .
You can do this by setting the Exchange server details & ports for the message type

I have configured oracle notification mailer screen with proper exchange server ip address, username, password for inbound messages etc. 3 workflow related services are up & running but sill notification are not getting delivered in exchange user mail id upon completion of concurrent request? Grayed out agent report and notification through mail.
Hi Experts,
We have a shared platform for more 10 customers and using SCOM 2007r2 , It has become difficult to track all the grayeout agents and not monitored agents. i need a help in making this thing automated by powershell or any mean , because now im running manully
powershell script and taking the list of grayedout agents.
Is there any way we will get notified if the servers goes to gray state.
Is there any way we will get email notification if agents goes to grayed out state.

CCMS - alert notifications through mail
HI All,
We have configured CCMS in our Landscape . Everything is working fine. But now we have a new requirement to add some receiptents in CC list of alert mails. I have included all the receioptents list in alert category. But my question is how differeniate to & cc list of alert mails.
Is there any way to include receiptents in CC list of alert mail?

You can only send to a mail recipient or a distribution list (DLI) via the standard code. I checked this SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT and there is no section where you can enter Carbon Copy (CC) for the recipient type. So you will have to customize this. Please refer to "SAP Note 176492 - Automatic email when an alert occurs (RZ20)" for addtional information
You can check the SAPoffice example reports BCS_EXAMPLE_1 to BCS_EXAMPLE_8 (SE38 -> BCS_EXAMPLE* -> F4 key) to see how SAPoffice manipulates recipient addresses.

Getting job name to notification e-mail when monitoring runtime limits
Hello,
In CPS version M33.49-55614 the requirement is to notify users via e-mail when a certain job exceedes the defined maximum runtime limit.
We have defined the limit in "Runtime Limits" tab of Job definition and have defined an event to be raised in the same tab.
The event is used as an Wait event for a Job chain consisting of 1 step only with System_Mail_Send. The mail Subject text is using an expression '=waitEvents.<event_name>.raiserComment'.
After this we are receiving notification e-mails with Subject: Maximum Runtime Limit breached. Raising an event for job 1460806.
But the Job name is not passed through the '=waitEvents.<event_name>.raiserComment' expression.
We use the same scenario for notification e-mails for Error or Killed jobs, and in these cases the same expression '=waitEvents.<event_name>.raiserComment' results to notification e-mail subject: Event raised by Job:1460826 (JOBNAME) going to status Killed.
The question is how to get the JOBNAME also to e-mail notification for exceeded maximum runtime?
2 attempts did not help:
- Add the $ substitution variable to Event Raise comment
- use =waitEvents.<event_name>.raiserJobName in notification mail Subject

Anyhow, what kind of subscription do you have chosen, immediate subscription or regular (daily, weekly, ...)?! If you are talking about an immediate subscription, try to alter this to a regular subscription. <i>Maybe</i> the change event which triggeres immediate subscriptions isn't thrown correctly by the TBP.
But even in this case, please open an OSS message, as this should be considered as a bug (or at least as a lack of documentation on help.sap.com).

BIP notification E-mail has malformed URL; user can't see his output
We're using the standalone BI Publisher 10.1.3.2.
When a user schedules a job, he can set a notification E-mail to tell him when the job is completed (and alternately if it has a warning or error). Inside the completion E-mail is a URL that is supposed to take the user to his output.
Unfortunately, the notification E-mail is plain text, and the address, because of the names of our reports and folders, has spaces in it. Outlook takes its best guess at changing this into a URL, but stops converting as soon as it hits the first space character.
This malformed URL tries to take the user to a folder to which he does not have access, and instead of seeing his report, he get's an "Unauthorized Access" error.
Is there a way to configure the notification E-mail to use HTML, or else substitute the "%20" string for the blanks so the link becomes functional? I don't want to have to go back through all our reports and folders and insert a bunch of unsightly underscores just to correct this.Hi,

Below is what we did for the similar requirement...
--> Developed dashboards in Xcelsius.
--> Published dashboard on the portal.
--> When ever data is loaded in SAP BI, using "Information Broadcasting" an email is triggered to the end users, like "Data is now available for 06/2009"
--> Users access dashboards logging into portal.

Following is the procedure to convert alv output to spool and then it to PDF Format.
After we display the ALV, we can check whether it is running in the background using system field u2018sy-batchu2018. Then,we call an function module named u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019 to get the current job information. Then go to spool request table tbtcp to get the spool id.

An option would be use Oracle Alert. Create an event based alert on the table where you have order approvals or rejections. This alert will be raised after inserting or updating this table. Create an action linked to this alert, and choose message as action type.
This setup can be done under Alert Manager Responsibility.
