Notify Recipients Via Email for missed deadline:WF

Hi all,
My requirement is triggering of email if tasks is not acted upon within two days.
Can anyody explain how emails can be triggered to user if user hasnt acted upon task withinn 2 days?

Hi,
I suppose you are getting notifications to your inbox. If yes, then you could change the setting in transaction SO16 that the system will send the notifications as emails. Anyhow, be careful with this, since this is a global setting and then all notifications will be sent as emails in the system.
Another option: in the deadline tab, you should be able to change the it as "modeled deadline". This will mean that a new branch will appear into the workflow. And you can add an email sending step into this branch. Probably this is a better approach since you can formulate the email text by yourself and you don't need to worry about changing the global setting.

    It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

    One PM wants to be able to have notifications (via email) for any timesheet approvals requests /changes etc. But the other PMs do not want notifications via email, can i set this up for one PM only or is it set by group only?

    Unfortunately as Sachin stated, there is no easy (meaning by configuration) way to send email alert for timesheet.
    Another way would be to create a SSRS report and send it by email using the
    out of the box subscription feature of SSRS.

  • Share via email function missing in Pages

    I use the share via email function 100+ times a day. I'm a power user with it and my business work efficiency depends on it as most of my clients work with MS Office.
    Now that share via email function is completely missing in Page 5.5 (Yosemite). Did they remove it!?!?!?
    Now have to export as a Word Doc, save it, open email and attach it. Very frustrating.
    I use a 2010 Macbook Pro with everything up to date on it. I have not upgraded to iCloud Drive, as I want to manually retrieve all my iPad documents and back it up before activating that feature.
    Any insights?

    The Share feature was not removed. It is located in the toolbar and looks like a box with an arrow pointing up next to the tips button. Take a look at the links below for how to do this and if you are missing that button, you can add it back by following the second article.

  • I've been trying to contact apple support via email for two days now with no responses from them. What's going on?

    For the past two days I've been trying to contact iTunes support via email. I've emailed them in the past and they've always got back to me the same day. Now it's been two days. I'm quite disappointed that I didn't get a response yet. I'm not really sure what to do. I even tried emailing them yesterday as well with still no luck. I really feel neglected as a customer.

    You mean other than the fact that it was a weekend? I don't know how much staff Apple has working on weekends, but it's likely to be less than during normal business hours. I'd suggest that you first check any antispam filters that may be in operation on your email account, and if they're not trapping messages from Apple you wait until tomorrow (Tuesday) and if you still haven't received a response try contacting iTunes Support again.

    I have an simple application which is club member request form.
    Anyone who will get a member in our club can type in some personal data and after pressing the create button he will get a confirmation e-mail.
    Till here everything works fine.
    Now I will put an confirmation link (HTML) in the confirmation e-mail.
    The new member should click on this link and the link should update (and commit) a the column "confirm" in my new_member table depending on an ID.
    Now my problem:
    I have no idea how this link should look like.

    Generally, this kind of implementation goes deeper than just what the link looks like. In fact, what the link looks like depends entirely on how you've implemented the confirmation process in your database.
    Although I've never done this specifically, I have given considerable thought to how it would be implemented. I thought that I would have a specific table that would hold pending confirmations. This table would hold some kind identifying data as well as a unique ID that would identify the row, probably something that looked like a GUID.
    Given this table structure there would probably be a trigger or PL/SQL process that took the pending member information and moved it into the members table when the member clicked on a confirmation button on the confirmation page. Therefore, the link that is sent to the user would need to look something like this:
    http://[yourhost.domain:port]/pls/[your DAD]/f?p=&app_id.:[your confirmation page #]&session.::::[your page item name]:[the unique ID for the member]
    The page item name is the item you define on the confirmation page that will hold the confirmation ID and the unique Id comes out of the table for the specific membership you're confirming.
    Again, this is conceptual since I've not done this specifically, but it should give you a place to start.

    In convergence I have set "Notify me via email of new invitations or invitation changes"
    But unfortunately, I do not receive an email when an invitation is created (I am invited).
    It does not seems to be related to the calendar server because the email are sent
    for an other user account.
    1. What parameters must be set so that invitation emails are sent?
    2. Would you know what could be the cause of my problem?

    I have recently created a website for my family's business. When we bought the Macbook the guy in Apple said the best way to send an email campaign to our mailing list was to publish a hidden page, find it in the browser on Safari, then share it via email, so that is what I do. For most of my customers this works fine, however I have a number of people each month who cannot see any of the content of the email. I have added an 'If you can't see this email properly...' link at the top of the page, with no shapes or images etc near it, but even that does not appear for them.
    I am a self-taught novice unfortunately, so haven't a clue what the problem is. I'm not sure of the operating system, but we bought the Macbook in May and it has all the recent updates installed. I have just had a new baby so can't get into the store fdor a one-to-one, so if anyone could explain why this happens / what I can do about it, I would be very grateful! Thanks!

    If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
    If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

  • Notify via email upon concurrent request failure

    Hi,
    I would like suggestions on the best way to solve the problem of being able to notify user(s) via email upon the failure of a concurrent request. Apps has the built-in ability to notify upon completion, not just upon failure. I want to limit the need for any user/passwd info being exchanged.
    So far, my best bet I think is a dbms_job.
    Any suggestions other than writing a shell script to login to the database and check on fnd_concurrent_requests?
    Seems like this would be a good feature to add for Apps.

    Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    try using IDOCMSG business object.
    Create a custom event to trigger to workflow. Find out some user exit or BAdi to trigger the workflow.
    Then use a send mail step and send a notification to the desired user.
