NTLM ticket in WAS
Hello Everybody,
I want to use NTLM authentication in WAS 6.40.
My webdynpro application should use NTLM tickets to authenticate user against my LDAP.
As per my knowledge, to acomplish this, i require NTLM login module,right? From where i can get such login module?
Is there any such login module available in WAS 6.40 to use for the same?
I don't want to use IIS and Portal in this scenario.

I got one link from help.sap.com for the same. But, it uses IIS in between. So, i will use IIS and try with it.
Then if i will get any problem then let you know.

You could also to an assumption of liability on that second line on your sisters account. Call *611 or 1-800-922-0204 and make sure your sister is right there with you to do this. Then the line comes off her account and you can then set up your own account with verizon.

In fact, I do not want to handle logon Error, but write a logon ticket for the connected user in a BSP page.
In my case the user connect with a login + PWd in the URL. So the session stay open while timeout is not reached, or browser's window is not closed.
When timeout is reached the user will no longer be able to browse to an other page without having to logon again. That why I would like, in the logon page, to write a logon ticket with 8 hours validity.
In such case, if user's session timesout, next navigation will create a new session because having a valid logon ticket in browser session.
It's quite easy to do this in WAS Java, but I do not know how to do this in WAS ABAP...
I hope this description of my need will be more explicit.

Evaluate Authentication Scheme from Logon Ticket in WAS ABAP

we've got the following problem: we have a corporate intranet portal. The portal is connected to several backend-systems. Between the portal and the backend-systems is a trust relationsship to enable single sign on. On Web-AS-Java-based systems we can configure the logon stacks that the authentication scheme in the logon ticket is evaluated (authschemes.xml).
We want to use this function of the sso2-Logon-Ticket in the business warehouse system as well. It is very important that only users authenticated with a specific authentication scheme on the portal (strong) are given access to the business warehouse.
Does anybody know if its possible to evaluate the authentication scheme in Web AS ABAP?

For an incoming email I've managed to configure ERMS to create a Service Ticket.
A number of values are however not correct or missing entirely.
Is it possible to correctly populate the Multi-Level Categorization for the Service Ticket and if so how.

We've implemented a requisite very similiar to yours in version 4. We've created a new class, to a new ERMS service, to be added in our ERMS profile manager.
The way we filled the service ticket categorization was by doing the following:
Each node at category modeler must be associated to a subject code (combination of technical fields katalogartcodegruppecode). So, all you have to do when you're creating a new service ticket is to indicate your subject code to CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN importing parameter: it_service_os.
Something like this:

Also , i have checked the note # 1008474 Diagnostics Setup Wizard uses wrong ABAP client.
As mentioned in above note, i have checked in visual admin all settings are maintained correctly.
RFC destination WEBADMIN & SOLMANDIAG is also working fine.

Shouldn't I be getting a Kerberos ticket when logging in to my Lion Server?
I have a very small OS X network setup: one server, one client. OD, DNS, etc. all working well. One thing I noticed though is when I log into the server directly, I never have a Kerberos ticket and have to use kinit; when I log into the client, I always get a ticket automatically.
After logging in to the server (directly via console, not ssh), I open a terminal and klist shows:
klist: krb5_cc_get_principal: No credentials cache file found
I can 'kinit' at this point, provide my password and I will get a working ticket, but isn't this supposed to happen at login time the way it does on my client?
I've made no modifications to /etc/pam.d/authorization:

auth optional pam_ntlm.so use_first_pass

-O@Strontium, not sure what the basis for your opinion is, the server login processes *is* a client of OpenDirectory and Kerberos and subject to the same PAM authorization process and thus the creation of a Kerberos ticket.
After nearly two days of digging, I found the issue was caused by the existance of user records for some of my network users in the /Local/Default directory on the server which had an AuthenticationAuthority value pointing to an old, no longer used, Kerberos domain. As these were OpenLDAP users, I hadn't even thought of examing the local directory until I noticed that the expected Kerberos ticket behavior was working properly for one of my accounts which was not a 'mobile' account. I then realized only my 'mobile' accounts (which were nearly all of them) were the only accounts showing this problem.
I believe what happened is when I changed server's kerberos name at some point in the past (by backing up the OpenLDAP records, demoting the master, re-creating the master with the new Kerberos name, importing the records, and resetting passwords); I never thought to clean up any locally cached user records for my 'mobile' users.
To fix: I used the Directory Utility to delete the users from the local cache. On next login by a mobile user, a correct local user record was created reflecting the proper Kerberos authority and now I'm getting Kerberos tickets on login again. -

If we need to go for config changes, we need to do the config changes in client 'y' of the development system ( take a scenario that i have the land scape of development server with two clients like x, y and quality with client x and production with X) and transport it to the client X and do the testing. If every thing is Ok then transport it to the Qualitty server and test it. Here these testing documents in quality has to send to the enduser for his approval (UAT - User Acceptance Test). After getting the approval from the end user you can transport it to the production.
After that you need to close the Ticket in the ticketing tool.

is there a way that i can relate a ticket that was opened as a duplicate without closing it?
i would like to have the ability to relate multiple tickets back to a single master ticket. the lesser tickets would get a reference in some way to the master and the master would then be the single source of documentation, time recording, etc. and when i close the master it would close the lesser tickets at that time. this would allow us to clean up the queue much more effectively, without causing end users to see there ticket closed and wonder why we closed without resolution.

There are various ways to achive the same
1 one ways is enter the SAP component or
2 another way
IF you already configured the Team option or created the ORG model for support team for HR PP etc then
goto crm_dno_monitor tcode and ther that bp here and then press execute to get the data for that team
or you can provide more restriction using the Posting Date or Status etc
later you can create a variant and assign that to user roles with Basis help this will solve ur problem completely

Service tickets - User and system status
Hi guys
This is the scenario, there was a complaint raised by our resolver groups saying that they were unable to open any service tickets logged through to them from our Contact Centre Agents. All this happened in a space of 5 hours only
Under the Header Overview of these service tickets, when I view the changes to this document, i saw that every service ticket that was logged user status shows CLOSED and system status shows COMPLETED
Please advise what could have caused this?

Went through a few of those cases and picked up this
The last system status entered shows TO BE DISTRIBUTED - by the Interaction Agent user
Responsible Group deleted - and new value shows the new responsible group
But the time frame bewteen the old value and new value is what concerns me. Theres a gap of about 45 minutes on average from the time the case is logged "open" till the time the case is "in process" by the resolver
But as per the resolver groups, they could not access these cases once they were logged. So it seems these cases were all "locked" basically and could only be access minutes later

Hi,
I would really appreciate some help. I had to catch a train yesterday and I had previously bought my tickets online. I had to access my booking reference before I could collect my tickets at the station. I found- to my horror- that my yahoo emails had been wiped clean! Curiously enough, my other email was unaffected. I had to buy a new ticket which was very expensive. On getting home, I checked my email and found that it was unaffected, so it must be a problem with my phone and not the email itself. May I know I can get my emails back and if I can claim compensation for my tickets? Very unpleasent experience!

RL1This is almost exclusively a user to user forum, but for what it's worth I doubt you can get reimbursed. There are various things that might have happened. It's the nature of the digital world, not just BlackBerry.
Going forward save important emails to the device. It would be wise to copy and paste critical information into notepad, just in case.

After moving to JDK 1.5.0_17 - KrbException: The ticket isn't for us (35)

As we try to use more recent update of JDK 5.0 (1.5.0_17) our SSO-module brings exception. With previous update of the same JDK (1.5.0_09) everything works without any problems. Here is exception:

3. "use DES encryption" in the AD account settings is specified and in krb5.conf it is specified:

So, as I've written above these settings are not changed by moving from one update of JDK to another.
And one more remark: if not to use "useTicketCache=true" or if to start application while not being logged in to domain, it means application promts to enter login data manually - login is also successful. First Ticket will come to your mail account raised by some customer relating any issue.
u2022Then resolve the Ticket first in your Development system once the Ticket is resolved in Development.
u2022After that we transport the changes from Development system to Quality System so that both same changes should come in quality and later we will do a data load to see that whether there is any error or not.
u2022After the load was successful in Quality System , we will move our ticket to status u201CRTTu201D(Ready To Test) with writing description in the u201Csolutionu201D Tab of Ticket No XXXX, that what the problem was and how it was resolved (ALL THIS IS DONE IN TICKET REMEDY PORTAL OF YOUR CLIENT).
u2022The load will be then cross checked by Client by reloading again and after which Client will pass the ticket to status u201Cpassu201D.(IN REMEDY PORTAL).
u2022Then for this Ticket peer review will be done and after which with transaction u201CSTMS_QAu201D the transport XXXXXXXX will be approved by the request owner in Quality System and the ticket status was changed from u201CRTTu201D to u201CReady for QA Reviewu201D.

Kerberos - tampering with ticket cache

sorry if this is allready posted here, I couldn't fing it.
I'm using the Kerberos ver.5 Login Modul in JAAS to authenticate users (Java version is 1.4.2). I'm also using SSO mechanisms of Kerberos, so with kinit I make a ticket for myself into the ticket cache and I'm using it withou re-contacting the KDC nor requiring password again.
But I just find out, that when I take a HexEditor, and edit the ticket cache, I could easily change my name in that ticket (eg. to "admin" or other). After this the JAAS Login Modul does not recognize the change, and yells "admin" succesfully logged in. Now letting anybody work with admin privileges is not what I dreamed about! This is not the bug that I can live with!
Is there any method to recognize that the Ticket Cache was tampered with? Or any other suggestions?

Yes, I would like to know how to use kinit programmatically too! The whole mechanism doesn't really make sense to me - I would have thought the Krb5LoginModule, if configured with useTicketCache=true, would call kinit itself if it found an empty/expired ticket in the cache, and then used that cache for susbsequent operations. Is the version of kinit that comes with the JDK written in Java? Where's the source code?? In single sign on, surely we want to update the cache quite often e.g. at the start of each day. The only way I can see of doing this is by getting the use to do this manually (urghhh), or calling the kinit.exe program from Java, which doesn't sound too great either. I wonder if this is what most people do.....
I did get out my hex editor and edit the cache as it happens - and it did indeed throw an exception (see below). Interestingly it seems to have got past the login stage, but as expected when the GSS communication begins, the handshaking between client and server fails. Here's the full stack trace I got:
