Numerous notifications for one email

When I recieve one single email it alerts me 2 and sometimes 3 times. Why is this? It is kind of annoying. Also, some text messages that I recieve come in 2 and 3 times.. the exact same message. Anyone know why?

Sorry for the confusion everyone.. Let me break it down..
Email
- When receiving one single email, I am being notified 2 to 3 times for that one single email. What I'm saying is my phone chimes 2 to 3 times for one email alone. I have no forwarding set up. Gmail exchange is all I am using. The iCloud account is just there and is not being used.
Text
- Say I recieve one specific text from one person, that one particular text is coming in 2 and 3 times. The same exact text.. usually about an hour apart.
Thanks again for everyones feedback. While I have your attention I have one more issue if you can help. Sometimes when I hit the sleep/wake button to wake my phone the screen will flicker ( go black, then back on again.. maybe multiple times before it acutally stays lit) is this an issue or anything to worry about? This is my first iPhone, so I am new to all of this.

E7-00 activating email notifications for one speci...

My personal email has been setup through the built-in email client, and my corporate email through Notes Traveler. I'm running S^3 Anna, with Traveler 8.5.3.
What I want to do is to just receive notifications for new emails on my personal email account, and deactivate the notifications from emails arriving to Traveler. This is something that worked in the past with my old E71-2, where I could select which email account could notify me, and it worked perfectly for me due to the deluge of work related emails.
On the E71 device I had the Nokia email app for my personal email instead of using the built-in email client. This app appears that is no longer available to download, so I had to use the built-in email client that comes with the E7-00.
I've looked everywhere on the phone, and appears that there is only two choices:
a) Disable email notifications for all email accounts
b) Enable notifications for all accounts.
If anyone has any idea how to selectively configure email notifications in a E7 the way it was able to do in my E71, I would greatly appreciate it.

e7 does NOT have email notifications. You just have to place the pers acc widget on the homescreen. E7 does NOT have options to configure def acc either. Push works on LT & MFE but NM push does NOT either. Anna makes all these things worse. Good luck.

Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you are not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app at least once to begin receiving notifications.
If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.

I'm trying to grant a few users Send As permission on a mailbox.
In the EMC: I have granted the users Manage Full Access Permission
In ADUC: I have Enabled Advanced Features, added the users to the account and Granted them Send As in the Security properties pages
On the Client side; the users can add the account to the From menu by searching the GAL. They are then able to Send As for one email and any other emails after bounce with the following message:
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
You can't send a message on behalf of this user unless you have permission to do so. Please make sure you're sending on behalf of the correct
sender, or request the necessary permission. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

The Send As permission isn't granted until after replication has occurred. Replication times depend on your Exchange and network configuration. To grant the permission immediately, stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information
Store service.
Since the send as permission can work well in OWA and Outlook online mode, it indicates that the permission has been configured properly in Exchange side. Please recreate a new Outlook profile to have a try. About how to create it, please

LMS 4.2 - Two notifications for one alarm.

Currently when a device, say a router goes offline we receive two Active 'Unresponsive' alarms for the router and then when it comes back online we receive two Cleared 'Unresponsive' alarms. All have their own unique Event ID. (shown below)
I was wondering if anyone could help me to config LMS to send only one Active 'Unresponsive' notification when a device is offline and then one Cleared 'Unresponsive' when the device is back online.
Here's an example of the Active 'Unresponsive' alarms I receive when I power the router off:

How to stop update notification for one app (iMovie) that I do not want to update. I do not want iMovie 10 taking up nearly 3 gb on my hard disc. iMovie 9 is just fine and only takes up 1.5 gb. But I get notifications to update and don't know how to turn it off. I've gone into the Purchases tab of the App store and deleted it. I don't want to turn off Update notifications (which is irrelevant in any case because I see no option to do that in Notifications system preference pane). I just don't want to be bugged about iMovie updates. The only option I'm given is to postpone the next reminder until the next morning. -- Franklin

You know , I am an OCD . I alway's close my Mail app and miss many important new emails .

What I do is open the Mail.app, then click the red traffic light (upper left corner of the main Mail.app window) to close that window. The app itself will remain running and you will get updates - this helps keep the desktop tidy while while the mail app remains running. When an update is received, simply click the either the mail icon in your dock or go to the Mail.app menu and click Window > Message Viewer.

Different Notification for different email accounts

On my old blackberry I was able to set up different number of vibration for my different email account so I would know right away which account the email was on. Is it possible to do the same on the Z10?

No, this is not the case at all. Every device that receives email will notify you in whatever what it's set to.

Yes the smart mailbox you set up was a very basic one. I tells Mail to display anything that is assigned to that account. So if you move an email from say the inbox of that account, to another folder of the same account, then the smart mailbox will not look any different as it is looking at the whole account.
In reality, you never need to use or look at this smart mailbox and you can continue to keep looking at the normal inboxes as you always have, but the Dock icon will only update according to unread emails anywhere in that account.
If you would like to refine what the smart mailbox looks at, say the inbox only of that account, then you add another rule to the smart mailbox.
Edit the smart mailbox
hit '+' next to the first rule
Add the new rule
Now the smart mailbox will only display what is in the inbox of that account

Email notification works for one email address fails for another

I have OEM 10.2.0.3 - one email address works fine, but another fails with message
[email protected]: Test failed with message: "E-mail Address is invalid: Sending failed; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay"
Now the weired thing is, that using the same SMTP gateway, I can send emails ok to this address via outlook etc.
Anyone any ideas ? The xxxxxxxxxx in the address is actually a mobile number, but, as I say, it IS valid.

Thanks for the reply, however, this is what I dont understand.
The SMTP server is the same one I use for our email, ie, it is our exchange server, and from outlook, I am able to send email
to the same address that is failing with EM. I'm not aware I need any authentication, or how it would need authentication only
for external accounts ?
you are correct howver, that it is an external account, and the same test fails for any external account. I'm just not sure how to fix this ?

Not getting notifications for push emails

I have an iPhone 5s with IOS 7.1.2 installed. I have a mail account set up pointing to my company's Exchange server. I will frequently not get notifications of new email until I open the email app on my phone. I won't get them when the email actually arrives in my mailbox (which is the purpose of push technology). Any ideas why I'm not getting these notifications? I have alerts turned on (banner, badge app icon, show in notification center, show preview), so ideally, I believe I have everything I need turned on. The account is also configured as 'Push' in the 'Fetch New Data' section of the menu.

On-screen notification for new email on C6-00

Hello everyone. I' ve setup my C6-00 to synchronize with my Gmail and Mail for Exchange account every 4 hours .It seems to work right but i only get sound notifications when there are new emails.
Is there any way to have a notification on the screen too?

How do you create two apple ids for one email address.

I bought two i pads for my kids. Since we have just one email address, everytime I try to create a new apple id it says I already have one. They need separate ids so their friends can facetime with one and not the other. Can't figure out how to create two apple ids with one email address.

Get her an email address, even if she never uses it. They're free and available almost everywhere. The only requirement is that the address be a valid one.

You can even use an "alias" of yours. That's a fake address that actually sends everything to you. Check with your current email supplier.
