OAF: Getting wrong row using setForwardURL

Hi,
I have a page (CustomerSearchPG) with a search region and a results region. In my results region I want to select one specific row and take it with me to the next page (CustomerCreatePG). When I press the select button I get rerouted to the right page and all the fields are filled out. HOWEVER I find that it is not the row I selected that is displayed, but the first row in the SearchPG.
The following code is in my Controller:

No If you are using the destination URL then there is no need to use the other one.
The correct destination URL would be like
OA.jsp?page=/<yourname>/oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}
In the CustomerCreatePG controller [Process Request]
You can get the row like

Get selected rows using the fm REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC

FYI ... for all those developers trying to select multiple rows in an ALV report, and get the selected rows - without using the OO approach to display to ALV, and without using checkboxes in the function module approach. First off, you need to use the function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC instead of the standard REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. This allows you to select multiple rows using the toggle, line selection buttons, at the start of each row (with 'select all' button). See the sample code below. If you are converting from the one fm to the other, you will have to change the type of 2 of the structures to the 'LVC' structures and make minor code changes. The example code below was initially using the REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY fm, and was converted to use REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC to allow for multiple row selection. The next step is to create a custom status, with a new custom button, that will start the processing of the selected rows. Go to tcode SE41, press Copy Status, and copy program SAPLKKBL, status STANDARD, to your custom program (same name as the custom ALV rpt) and a new status name (ie STANDARD1). In the new STANDARD1 status for the custom ALV program/rpt (tcode SE41), add a new button ('&EXE') at the end of the std buttons (items 29-35). Assign the new button a Text, Icon and a Function Key. Thats it!

How to get blank rows using #

Hi,
I have a requirement to restrict my query on Creation Date. For this I am creating a variable in Query Analyzer such that when I execute my query standard SAP creation date pop up comes but now my client also want to get the blank rows using # along with the date entered by the user.
My problem is how should I append # along with the user entered date.

I am not able to enter # . As only the calender is coming there is no option to enter # .
I am thinking of another solution please tell me if I am correct. Can I create two variables to creation date such that one of the variable is of type User Input and another one will be of Customer Exit type, then in customer exit in I_STEP = 2 I can manually append #. Issue in getting current row value using getCurrent Value

Issue:When I call ththe method executeSearchVO from controller class
with Row row = personalActionSearchVO.first();
I am getting the corresponding value.
but my requirement is I have multiple record , If i press action on any of the record, I need to read SITName value for the particular record and need to pass it as parameter to other pager(i mean If i select any record, I need to get corresponding value in the attribute for the record.)

You can get all rows red by selecting the color red in the "Color" and "frequency" to 1 under the "Alternate Row/Column colors".
I tried doing it and the colors freaked me out (all red) :-D

I need to get the Row / Column when double click is used in ALV, I can use the double click event for this. However, I do not want to use the Object Oriented ALV. I want to implement the same functionality using general (using functions) ALV.
Is there any way to get the row / column values for a Generia (non-OOPs) ALV report.

Hi,
You need to use the method GET_SELECTED of IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE to get the rows selected. Also ccheck for the paramters of that method, this retruns the element set.

Date_popup returning value to wrong row

I have looked at the thread below and still cannot get my code to work

I have a tabular form that is used for a mass approval system for managers. In this tabular form the managers are allowed to change 2 fields...that status field which is a static lov and the approval date field. The approval date field will always be null when the user comes into the form so we have this field set automatically to the sysdate. The problem we are encountering is that when we change the date field to something other than sysdate the system will send the new date from the date picker to a different row. I found the thread above and tried to implement it in my code but it is still returning the data to the wrong row. I was trying to decipher the code and wasn't really sure about it so I thought I would put my code here in hopes that someone could help me. (NOTE - I don't really need the decode statement for the date_popup but if I didn't have it I would get an error so the first part of my decode statement shouldn't ever be hit cause we don't have an approval status of P.

Problem in getting EXCEL data using I_OI_SPREADSHEET

Hello All,
My requirement is to read data from Excel document having multiple worksheets. I am successful in getting all worksheets in the excel using the method spreadsheet->select_sheet.
Now I face problems while using spreadsheet_get_ranges_data. I dont have any range to select from the worksheets. When my program executes contents internal table which is importing paramater from get_ranges_data method is not getting me data from EXCEL.
Can you please give me hint or solution to solve this issue.

Thanks for your response. But the solution is not really working for my case.
Step1: call class method spreadsheet->select_sheet
Step2: call class method spreadsheet->get_active_sheet
Step3: call class method i_oi_document_proxy->select_all
Step4: call class method spreadsheet->get_selection
Step5: Call class method spreadsheet->insert_range_dim
passing parameters selected from step 2.
But the problem is parameters (top,left,rows,columns) values supplied in step 3 is not giving me correct rows,columns that is in my EXCEL worksheet.
I have 3 rows and 3 columns, but I get 1 row and 1 column and 26 as top.
Let me know whether I am doing anything wrong in my calls to class?!.

How to get the below output using REGULAR EXPRESSIONS??

Your method is better because it uses only ONE reg expression function. ʃʃp's uses 2.In Oracle 10.2 (I believe) and higher, '\d' is equivalent to '[[:digit:]]', and '\D' is equivalent to '[^[:digit:]]'. I find '\d' and '\D' easier to type, but there's nothing wrong with using '[[:digit:]]' and '[^[:digit:]]'.
'.*' means "0 or more of any character".
'\D*' means "0 or more non-digits".
The whole expression, '.*(\d{5})\D*' means:
a. 0 or more characters (any characters)
b. 5 digits
c. 0 or more non-digits.
'\1' is a Backreference . It means the sub-string that matched the pattern after the 1st '(', up to (but not including) its matching ')'. In this case, that means the sub-string that matched '\d{5}', or b. using the explanation immediately above.
So the entire REGEXP_REPLACE call means "When you see a sub-string consisting of a., follwed immediately by b., followed immedately by c., replace that sub-string with b. alone."
