OAM log in

I am trying to log into OAM using my apps username/password, is this not possible. I am quite new to EBS

You better ask your DBA or sys admin. Your system doesn't seem to be configured completely.
Otherwise you can post this issue on forum http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=40 for apps related generic issue.

    it appears you may be encountering a bug in OAM 11.1.1.5.2 where there was a typographical error that made it into the oam-config.xml. Please do the following:
    1. Save a backup of your <domain home>/config/fmwconfig/oam-config.xml
    2. Edit oam-config.xml and search for the following line (line 2317 in the uploaded oam-config.xml):
    <Setting Name="ccheck_request_creds.fail" Type="xsd:string">cred_collect</Setting>
    and alter the filename to check_request_creds.fail as shown below:

    3. Restart the managed server and retry your login.

    Your Principal name should be the SSO LB URL.(ie :sso.mycomany.com)
    ktpass -princ HTTP/sso.mycomany.com@DOMAIN -pass XXXXXXX mapuser DOMAIN\user -out oam.keytab.
    Also make sure sso.mycomany.com has a reverse DNS configured correctly.
    you can check using dig command
    ping sso.mycomany.com
    What ever the ip-address
    dig -x <IP-ADDRESS>
    Check in the reverse DNS section there should be 1 record.
    ;; ANSWER SECTION:
    1.1.1.1.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR sso.mycomany.com.

    It's hard to give you an answer without having a look at how you have configured everything, so it would probably better for you to open a TAC service request to have this investigated further.

  • OAM - Webgate error

    Hi Guys,
    We are facing a very weird problem in our setup. Our environment includes OHS 11.1.1.6 BP03 with webgate 11.1.2.0.2. The Access Manager is 11.1.2.0.0. The requests between webgate and access server (i.e. protected resources accessed via OHS) works fine for few times. But after 4-5 requests we can see that new request got failed with the status that 'Webgate is unable to contact any Access Server,. Following string is getting recorded in OHS logs
    [ecid: 004qTwWqkB87q2D5NBL6ie0002i30001DD] [rid: 0] [VirtualHost: main] apache2_req_info.cpp:221: The WebGate plug-in is unable to contact any Access Servers.
    AFter this failure the requests agains started working fine (i.e. connections seems restored between webgate and access server). Can anyone please help me what could be wrong in our configuration? There is no error in OAM logs
    Regards,
    Amit Bansal

    Hi,
    We're seeing this exact error/log with a "new" accessgate, so I was wondering if you could clarify exactly what is the problem and what is the resolution?  Are you saying that the webgate is not sending the hostname that's in the ObAccessClient.xml, but, rather, sending the physical IP or hostname of the server that is hosting the webgate/accessgate?
    Also, is this happening with specific versions of webgate/accessgate, because we haven't run across this until this one instance.
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • Error creating OIM schema with RCU 11.1.1.3.3 (RCU-6135)

    Hello!
    I'm trying to install Oracle Access & Identity Management 11g on Windows Server 2003 32bit machine
    As main guide I use the article from onlineappsdba.com ( [this one|http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2010/08/05/oracleidm-11g-step-by-installation-of-oam-oim-oaam-oapm-oin-111130-part-i-load-schema/print/] )
    I have installed Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    After that I try to create required schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 and constantly get failed on creating OIM schema with error RCU-6135:Error while trying to execute Java action..
    All other schemas were created successfully.
    I've checked oim.log and there were no sql errors.
    In the rcu.log I found next messages:

    I've searched through the OTN and Internet but did not found any solution.
    Please help me.
    Any advises will be appreciated.

    I've tried to run RCU 11.1.1.3.3 on Ubuntu 32-bit and OIM schema creation failed again but with another error RCU-1636 Failed to start PL/SQL engine.
    After that I found RCU 11.1.1.4, downladed it and this version created all schemas successfully.
    Hope all other components will be ok with new version of RCU

  • Journal Import EBS R12 Issue

    Hi All,
    Environment :
    - Solaris 11
    - EBS R12
    - Oracle DB 11.2.0.3.0
    Journal Import Profile option is default (still no settings / default settings / not still tune).
    Our Journal Import could not submit more than 4000 records.
    When we try to import data more than 4000, there is an error SQL*Net message to client on OAM view log, and when I looking on LAB128 and OEM, the process stop mostly on gl.gl_je_lines, sometimes on gl.gl_je_headers.
    I had already followed suggestion from metalink forum :
    change DB : sqlnet.ora, listener.ora
    add sqlnet.ora on Apps Server (EBS R12 Server)
    But, now there is another issue, the error SQL*Net message to client not raise anymore, but when I see Journal Import OAM log, LAB128 and OEM, the sessions is inactive but the process looks like looping forever.
    Need suggestion solution for this issue.
    Any help is very appreciated and score. Thanks before.

    Dear Mr. Hussein,
    Our EBS version : 12.1.3, while
    R12:Journal Import Failing With ORA-24337 Error When Importing All GROUP IDs [ID 1159594.1] Oracle General Ledger - Version: 12.0.0 to 12.1.2 - Release: 12.0 to 12.1
    I'm already change the settings of :
    Please revert to Oracle Net Server tracing/logging, set following parameter in the server's sqlnet.ora :
    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED = OFF
    - to back out the ADR diag for the Listener component, set following parameter in the server's listener.ora:
    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED_<listenername> = OFF
    - Where the <listenername> would be replaced with the actual name of the configured listener(s) in the listener.ora configuration file. For example, if the listener name is 'LISTENER', the parameter would read:
    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED_LISTENER = OFF
    -Reload or restart the TNS Listener for the parameter change to take effect.
    ACTION PLAN
    ============
    We will need to trace a connection on both CLIENT and SERVER endpoints to see what is happening. Please follow these steps:
    1. Add the following parameters in the sqlnet.ora file on the CLIENT workstation (where sql loader is executed):
    TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT=16
    TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT=<some_known_directory>
    TRACE_FILE_CLIENT=client
    TRACE_UNIQUE_CLIENT=ON
    TRACE_TIMESTAMP_CLIENT=ON
    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED =OFF -- add this in case of 11g client
    If you need to restrict the amount of disk space used by the long-term traces then you can also set the following:
    TRACE_FILELEN_CLIENT=<file_size_in_Kbytes>
    TRACE_FILENO_CLIENT=<number_of_files>
    2. Add the following parameters in the sqlnet.ora file on the SERVER:
    TRACE_LEVEL_SERVER=16
    TRACE_DIRECTORY_SERVER=<some_known_directory>
    TRACE_FILE_SERVER=server
    TRACE_TIMESTAMP_SERVER=ON
    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED =OFF
    If you need to restrict the amount of disk space used by the long-term traces then you can also set the following:
    TRACE_FILELEN_SERVER=<file_size_in_Kbytes>
    TRACE_FILENO_SERVER=<number_of_files>
    3. Try to reproduce the issue.
    4. Check if trace files were created.
    5. Disable tracing by removing the TRACE lines from sqlnet.ora on both CLIENT and SERVER.
    6. Compress (in .zip or .tar.gz format) and upload the trace files.
    We only need a pair of client and server trace files for the same sqlplus session which exhibits the issue; in order to match client and server trace files you should use the tips in Note:374116.1 "How to Match Oracle Net Client and Server Trace Files"below is result of failing Journal Import :

  • Access Manager Failed to Connect to Directory Server

    Dear All,
    I have problem with Directory Server connection in Access Manager. This happened in Production site, all application that integrated with Oracle Access Manager (OAM) for Single Sign On are not accessible after the Directory Server connection problem occur in OAM. The problem has only started occurring suddenly, before it the all service including the OAM and Directory Server is running well. Below are the error messages that appear in WebGate log file (ohs1.log) and OAM log file (oblog.log) :
    >> OHS/WebGate (ohs1.log) :

Check if the corresponding directory service is up.
    >> OAM (Oblog.log):

    The OAM using the Load Balancer between the LDAP Directory Server to OAM's component. When the error appears, there are no problem with the Load Balancer and all of Directory Sever services is up. There are two Directory Server servers in Multi Master Replication and 14 WebGate servers that integrated with OAM. Is there a limitation number of WebGate for integrated to the OAM?
    I have tried to set some parameters in OAM configuration to solve this problem. I set the Maximum Connection of Directory Server parameter to 10 value (in OAM Console), the LDAPOperationTimeout paramater to 1 hour value and the LDAPMaxNoOfRetries parameter to 2 value (in the globalparams.xml). After set these parameters, the error is not appear in some days, but suddenly appear again in the same error message. May be set these parameters is not appropriate solution for the problem or the value that I set is not correct. Any experience with this?
    I still don't know what the root cause of this problem. Restart all of OAM services (including the WebGate) is temporary solution when the error appear.
    Any idea for this problem?
    Thanks in advice.

    Hi Jun-Y,
    Thank you for your answer.
    What do you means with the Directory Server's idle timeout is the "Idle Timeout" parameter in LDAP Client Control Settings?
    I use Oracle Directory Server Enterprise 11.1.1.5.0. Now, the Directory Server's idle timeout parameter is "unlimited" value.
    If the idle timeout of the load balancer set 1 hour, it means that I must change the directory server's idle timeout to be less than 1 hour. Isn't right?

  • Integrating Oracle Access Manager with Kerberos (WNA)

    Hi,
    I have working Oracle Access Manager currently being able only to authenticate users against Active Directory. I want to enable WNA. But I am still having issues with correctly configure it:
    I do not know what am I doing wrong.
    I am logged as example.com\testuser into Windows XP, using firefox with WNA enabled for URI example.com. Then I enter http://oracle.example.com which is my Oracle HTTP Server's protected URL, then I am receiving ERROR from Oracle Access Manager: "The user account is locked or disabled. Please contact the System Administrator."
    In OAM Log there is this: <Jun 19, 2012 4:14:15 PM CEST> <Error> <oracle.oam.controller> <OAM-02010> <User account is locked. Authentication failed.>
    Interesting is when I disable WNA support in firefox, then this behavior occurs: fisrt there is this dialog shown "A username and password are being requested by http://oracle.example.com:14100. The site says: "OAM 11g"" --> here I enter example.com\testuser and password. After this new dialog is shown: A username and password are being requested by http://oracle.example.com:14100. The site says: "WebLogic Server", then after entering weblogic/password I receive "The user account is locked or disabled. Please contact the System Administrator."
    In the OAM log this is logged:
    <Jun 19, 2012 4:22:28 PM CEST> <Error> <oracle.oam.user.identity.provider> <OAMSSA-20023> <Authentication Failure for user : weblogic.>
    <Jun 19, 2012 4:22:28 PM CEST> <Error> <oracle.oam.controller> <OAM-02010> <User account is locked. Authentication failed.>
    Any ideas? I am really stuck here.
    I am using this keytab file:
    [root@oracle centos]# klist -ke /home/oracle/keytab.testuser1
    Keytab name: WRFILE:/home/oracle/keytab.testuser1
    KVNO Principal
    7 HTTP/[email protected] (des-cbc-crc)
    7 HTTP/[email protected] (des-cbc-md5)
    7 HTTP/[email protected] (arcfour-hmac)
    7 HTTP/[email protected] (aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96)
    7 HTTP/[email protected] (aes128-cts-hmac-sha1-96)
    kinit passes fine:
    [root@oracle centos]# kinit -V HTTP/[email protected] -k -t /home/oracle/keytab.testuser1
    Using default cache: /tmp/krb5cc_0
    Using principal: HTTP/[email protected]
    Using keytab: /home/oracle/keytab.testuser1
    Authenticated to Kerberos v5
    Why and which user is locked? I can lock with the AD user into windows domain, so I assume it is not locked + I checked it in the Active Directory.

    Ok, now I got it working. Sh~t! Why oracle documentation says I should set AD datasource with this parameter:
    User Name Attribute: UserPrincipalName, when this does not work?!
    After changing to User Name Attribute: sAMAccountName my WNA works!!!
    I have been fighting all day with this! The question is why such behavior - if the problem is in wrongly written oracle documentation, or I have problem somewehere else.
    Btw my user in AD looks like this:
    distinguishedName:     CN=John Doe,CN=Users,DC=example,DC=com
    sAMAccountName:     doejohn
    userPrincipalName     [email protected]
    It looks OAM takes "doejohn" from Windows via WNA/Kerberos and searches for this using UserPrincipalName and this is giving no match of course because "doejohn != [email protected]".
    The question is why does it take doejohn and not [email protected] from Windows WNA/Kerberos ???
