I need to get the remote client IP address from inside a webservice but with WLS 7.0.7. I know it is possible with WL 8:
WebServiceContext wsContext = WebServiceContext.currentContext();
WebServiceHttpSessionImpl vHttp = (WebServiceHttpSessionImpl)wsContext.getSession();
vHttp.request.getRemoteAddr();
But WL 7 has not available WebServiceContext.currentContext() method.

How do I obtain a client IP address in Weblogic 9.1 ?

I have tried to obtain the client IP address from a web service transaction in Weblogic 9.1.
Since weblogic.webservice.context.WebServiceContext has been provided in Weblogic 8.1, WebServiceContext and WebServiceSession could be used to get IP address. However, the class turned to be deprecated after Weblogic 9.0, I don't think the class should be used.
Does anyone know if there are any alternative classes or methods provided to obtain IP address in Weblogic 9.1? If so, please tell me.

If yes, you might be interested to learn that it is a modem/router....also known as a gateway device.....quite different from a simple modem.....so the requirement to connect will be different from a simple modem.

WTR54GS Fails to obtain a DHCP IP Address from Upstream

Greetings!
I had effectively given-up on Linksys Router WTR54GS, as it was advertised that it could be plugged into a pre-existing network (friends home network, a hotel room ethernet jack, etc), but sadly the WTR54GS itself is incapable of obtaining a DHCP IP Address from an upstream DHCP server (like the hotel, etc).
I have tried repeatedly to work with Linksys Support but everyone wants to blame the upstream router, suggesting that I change it's configuration to "Bridged-mode". Yeah, right. Like I'm going to walk down to the hotel lobby main desk and tell them that they need to place THEIR network in bridged mode just so my WTR54GS will work. I was willing to believe that the first router (version 2.0) that I was sent was defective, and let Tech Support talk me into returning it to my vendor and seeking a replacement.
I receieved the replacement (this time version 1.0) and had EXACTLY the same problem. I returned that one as well (marked defective) after talking with Ellen in Linksys 2nd Level Technical Support. She promised this would be referred to the Linksys Engineering group for further study. This was 4+ months ago.
I would like to buy another one, but am hesitant to buy because I just do not trust Linksys Technical Support anymore. Can someone please confirm that Linksys Engineering is aware of this problem, acknowledges its existence, and has resolved (or is at least working on resolving) this problem?

In a form i'm programming, i need to obtain the ip address from which the client which is executing.
If i used Oracle 8i, i would get is using sys_context function, but i use:
forms 5 on Oracle Server 8.0.5
I need urgent help with this stuff, please!.

Problems with client.jar - generated from webservices toolkit from JDK 1.1.7

We have deployed a web application using the webservices in WL 6.1 using JDK 1.3.1.
The clients were able to successfully access the servlet it generated and download
the client.jar. Unfortunately this client.jar seems to be dependent on JDK 1.2
and beyond. It seems to use java.util.Map class in the JNDI-SOAP SPI.
Is there any workaround or fix to this problem, so this jar can be used from a
JDK 1.1.7 env?.
Our objective is to use WL 6.1 EJB's from WL 4.5.1 using Webservices. Are there
any known problems with this approach (Ofcourse other than this).

I am quite new to web service and developing a web service using netbeans6.0 IDE, where i have to know which client called/used the service, After googling i got code snippet like below
inject a WebServiceContext instance into your WebService class, and use it in each WebMethod to get the current request's MessageContext Map. Get the SERVLET_REQUEST item from that, cast as an HttpServletRequest. From that HttpServletRequest, you can invoke getRemoteAddr() to get the client's IP.

Emailing to a gmail address from iPad2 with iOS 7

I cannot mail a link to a gmail address from the mail app or safari on my ipad2 with ios 7. It will send to yahoo and other addresses, but not gmail. I have tried deleting my mail accounts and adding them again, resetting and turning off 2-step verification. It works fine from my itouch. I compared all the settings on the two devices and they are the same. Please help! This is a real problem. I sent an important email to someone and realized a week later it was in my outbox. =/ I've been working on this problem for over a week and can't seem to solve it.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Hi, does anyone know is there any way to retrieve the client ip address when a flex client calls the amf endpoint of a livecycle process?
This is on ADEP and unfortunately we can't do a flex call javascript on the client side to retrieve the ip address.

How to pass client IP address via CSS with SSL offload?

We use Cisco CSS 11501S to do the SSL offload of web servers in one-armed mode. So we have to SNAT client IP in order to guaranty correct return path via the CSS. In this case web server can see only the IP address of the VIP used for SNAT. If there is a way to pass customer?s IP to the web server - i.e insert customized HTTP HEADER something like HTTP_REMOTEADDRESS:<IP address of the client> - similar to what is possible with BIG IP device for instance?
Second question if there is a way to get from the CSS access log data similar to what we have in Apache access.log file to be used by Webalizer or similar application to analyze web traffic.

if you're not doing src nat, the css will spoof the client ip and therefore, there is no need to save the client ip in the http header.

The event ID 5807 is logged in the system logs of domain controllers as a result of which the IP addresses for the missing subnets are logged in Netlogon.log under %systemroot%/debug. The end goal is to fetch the IP addresses along with rest of the respective

Get client ip address from Web Service hosted on OAS 10.1.2

Can anyone advice how to get the client IP from a web service (java) hosted on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.
The below code works if the web service is hosted on Tomcat.

This code is causes built errors on the OAS 10.1.2 since it needs Axis and many other Jars. I tried to insert the jars needed but unfortunately when i was able to compile it returned a java.lang.NullPointerException.
Is there a way to get the IP address of the client that calls this web service ?
Or is there a way to read the SOAP request maybe i can retrieve the client IP from it.

While the following paper is Oracle9i DB specific, conceptually, what is done should work with Oracle8i.
Bear in mind that the use of XMLType is specific to Oracle9i DB R2 so if you were to follow the example, you would have to use varchars and probably acept the result into the PL/SQL XML Parser. See:

You'll see that there is a param wdisp/add_xforwardedfor_header
which
"The parameter determines whether the SAP Web dispatcher includes the IP address of the client in the header field x-forwarded-for. If it does, the application on the application server can read the route that the request has taken. If the parameter has the value false, the Web dispatcher leaves the header field unchanged."
Together with the forwarder field that I've mentioned earlier, this should achieve things you need.
