Hello,
1)How do i determine whick ODAC version i am using with my visual studio 2008
2) If I were to instal the latest ODAC version, do i need to remove the older version first.
If I do not remove the older version and install the newer version, how will vs 2008 recognise and use the newer version

You posted to the VS tools forum, so I assume your question is about them (and not about your application).
1) You can find out what version is used by going to Help->About Visual Studio from the Visual Studio menu.
2) You ask about "ODAC" - again, I am going to assume you are asking about the VS tools - Only one version of the Visual Studio Tools can be used by Visual Studio so it is a good idea to uninstall the old one. However, if your question was instead about ODP.NET, multiple versions of ODP.NET can coexist. Just put them in separate Oracle homes.
3) During the install process, the visual Studio tools will associate themselves with your version of Visual Studio. I believe if you had an old vs tools installed, those associations are overwritten. Better idea, is to uninstall the old one first.

This is an known issue in SSRS 2008 R2 SP3. For this issue, Microsoft has published an article addressing this issue. It is not planning to release a fix for this defect. But there's workarounds for this issue. Please refer to the link below:
Report Builder of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 does not launch.

Is it appropriate to apply the hardening settings for Windows 2008 R2 server to Windows 2008 server?

We would like to adopt the hardening recommendation for Windows 2008 R2 from CIS to all our DC servers. However, but then we found some of our DC in remote sites are Windows 2008 server only.
Is the hardening settings from Windows 2008 R2 from CIS also applicable to Windows 2008 DC?

Yes, this should be fine. Hardening only specific security settings, registry keys etc and there's not much difference if you consider hardening.

Multi Question: Windows Server 2008 NFS client / NTFS/FAT32 Disk not seen..

1) Sharing an NFS export with Windows server 2008, HowTo Please?
2) I have a second IDE disk installed in the system but solaris doesnt see it and i dont konw how to find it as im a linux guy and alot of the tools arnt the same. This disk contains one FAT32 partition which i presume wont be a problem but also contains an NTFS partition. Ideas / Instructions please?
3) The system also has a second, Gb, D-Link DGE-528T Ethernet card. This also isnt recognised atall in anything i can think of.
I know these are all fairly basic questions for this forum but i would appreciate the advice of some experts, thankyou for your time.

Do you mean that USB drives to and mounted VHDs all cannot be formatte? If so, please first check if the disks can work on another computer.

For media players that you've built or that you've seen out on the web today, how big are they in k? And of that total size, how much code does it take to support each of the service integrations with CDNs, ad servers/networks, analytics services, and content management systems?

So say I downloaded the Windows version, can I use that CD Serial Key, for my Mac version. (my mac version was purchased as a disk, back in 2008).

If the 25 character product key has faded, your alternate option to download Windows 7 ISO and clean install CANNOT be thought of.

Yes. The only problem you could face, is if you want to reinstall MS Office 2008 on Lion - this is not possible, because the installer runs on Rosetta, which is no longer supported in Lion. But if you already have Office installed, there should be absolutely no problems.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

I have a new email address and my old email keeps coming up on icloud when trying to update apps and i don't know the password or security questions for the old email. I can sign in with my apple id which is tied to another email but not itunes how to fix

I have an apple id and it has my current email attached to it. however when i go to update apps it's asking for the password for an old email. I no longer have the old email and can't use it. when I go to icloud on my ipad it asks for the password for old email. it doesn't allow me to change the old email to current. when i go to reset it i can't remember the password or security questions for the old email so it doesn't let me go any further. How do I fix this? Do i need to call apple support?

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?
