ODBC not working in WEB FORM(Dev6i)!!!

Hi :
I found ODBC are not working in Dev6i Web Forms , my reports all based on excel though ODBC .
Can anyone help me to solve this problem ?

Answering Oracle Reports questions is a bit out of my league, but I deal with a lot of ODBC apps, so I'll take a shot.
Try doing the following-
1) Open the Control Panel, Open the Data Sources (ODBC) control, and select the DSN you'll be using.
2) Put mnewman in the User ID field and mnn4578 in the password field.
3) I'm not familiar with the Oracle Reports dialog you're referring to when you say "I put in mnewman/mnn4578@ODBC:*", but make sure that you aren't providing more information than is being asked for (i.e. putting user/password@ODBC:* in a field that just asks for username). Since it's asking you to pick a DSN, it should be able to pull username/password information from the DSN.

    I've a planning web form with formula column inside to calculate the variance and % variance. But missing cell can't be suppressed, although I've checked the 'Suppress Missing Blocks' and 'Suppress Missing Data' options.

    There is a known issue that sounds like the problem you are experiencing
    10358200 - If a formula column exists in a data form, selecting the Suppress missing option does not hide rows that do not contain data.

  • ODBC not working

    Hello:
    I'm using LitDev's ODBC to connect to an SAP HANA Sever on AWS, but doesn't seem to work at all...
    LDDataBase.ConnectOdbc("{HDBODBC}","MyServer","30015","MyUser","MyPassword",0,"HDB")
    No matter what I try...it doesn't work as I always get the same communication link failure error...of course if I setup an ODBC connection it works just fine...but calling it from SmallBasic fails...
    Any clues?

    I'm not sure what the issue may be and hard to diagnose since I cannot reproduce it. 
    Perhaps start by trying a local Odbc database if you can.
    I may be able to provide a test build with some more debug output, the method used is standard .Net C# as far as I can see.

  • LOVs not working in Webi Report for SAP BO 4.1 SP 2 Patch 3

    I have developed reports and universes in SAP BO 4.0 SP 5 and i have migrated those reports to higher version of BO which is 4.1 SP2 Patch 3.
    My universe is working fine with LOVs but when i run the webi report , the LOVs arent working.
    have anyone facing the same issue. any idea why the LOVs arent working on higher version.?

    The List of values we will assign in universe in order to get filtered data works on universe query panel
    but the same objects when i am using in report(webi report) , the List of values are not working .i.e
    they are not getting displayed in webi report.
    for ex: i have country object having country names as LOVs and state objects having state names as LOVs . Now when i select Country value , the LOVs of state objects should get filtered and shows only states which belongs to country .
    the above logic is not working in webi report , i am only able to select country and when i go for state, the state names do not get filtered.
    please let me know why this is happening in the SP2 patch 3 version and its working fine for SP2  , but the chrome issue gets solved after applying patch 3 and not if we only upgrade to SP2.
    the webi reports are not working in chrome browser if we using SAP B04.1 SP2 and lower version
    but the LOVs are not working in SAP BO 4.1 SP 2 patch 1, 2,3.

    if this is your tabular form

    ...Then you will only ever update records that have been checked. Unchecked checkboxes are not passed back in the global array. You need to have a hidden column with the ID's for the record and loop through that when you are updating/inserting. That is why the built in tabular form has a MRU and a MRD. the MRU loops through the hidden ID column. The MRD loops through the checkbox.

    Since the checkboxes all have the same name, the values are over-writing each other when being passed to the PHP script. The best way to fix that is to add a pair of empty square [] brackets after the checkbox names, so make the names "graphics[]" instead of "graphics". That tells PHP that the values are being passed as a list (an array) instead of a single value. As long as your processing script knows what to do from there (and it does), should solve the problem.
    By the way, I noticed that two of the checkboxes were named "graphics" and the other was "graphic" (singular). You'll want to fix that too so they're all the same.

    After upgrading from 11.5.10.2 and Oracle 9.2.0.5 to ATG6, AD6, oracle 10.2.0.4, Forms 6.0 (Form Compiler) Version 6.0.8.28.0 . The execute query (F11 & CTRL F11) is not working on custom forms. But after tabbing from one column to another column then press CTRL F11 is working.

    BI Publisher not working with Web Cache
    I'm trying to enable BI Publisher to run from the internet. I have Web Cache (AS10g rel 2) in an internet DMZ, trying to work with BI Publisher running on a AS10g rel 3 server in a application DMZ. BI Publisher won't allow Web Cache to hide the URL after login. It tries to use the application server name as a URL and gets lost, since this is not resolvable from the internet. We have Content DB, other J2EE application installed in this same configuration, and it works fine.
    This is duty managed as of today. They required an enhancement request, which I submitted. SR 6696835.993 -

    Currently an enhancement - it was logged as that but IMHO its a bug as other Oracle products work OK - it kinda depends on whether its an ORacle strd to work with webcache or not. Suffice to say, we are investigating the issue and will update the er/bug soon.

    This issue is due to personalization done in payment form to default the payment date. First we defaulted the payment date once we open the form and faced issue in Quering a payment.
    Now we did a change in personalization to default after selecting the Trading Partner and rectified the issue.

    I have a report which has got a parameter form. This report is
    running fine in client/server environment. But when I deploy the
    same report on web (CGI) using PARAMFORM=YES, I am getting the
    parameter form and after pressing the SUBMIT button I am getting
    a blank report under the following two cases even though I have
    data for that query:
    CASE1: <input type="hidden" name="desformat" value="html">
    then I am getting the report with no data retrieved.
    CASE2: <input type="hidden" name="desformat" value="pdf">
    then I am getting completely blank report (no logo, no column
    titles, etc.)
    See the HTML code below. Remember, the same thing is running
    fine in client/server environment. Moreover, if I make a HTML-
    coded form for the report then everything on the client's
    browser is running fine. But this is not what we want, 'coz we
    are running the "BEFORE PARAMETER FORM" trigger in the report.
    So, should I conclude that web-reports does not work with the
    parameter forms?? Is it a bug???

    No pal, that's not the problem. The problem lies with the

  • Cursor style doesn't work on web forms

    I have a FORM (6i) from which I run the report by clicking a button .
    I used to set_application_property to set cursor style to BUSY untill I get report output . It works in client/server but doesn't work in Web .
    Can I set this in any other way or is there any way we can show a progress bar in web FORMS without using ActiveX ? .

    Cursor Style does work on the Web (at least in 6i, there was an old bug in 4.5) - you shouldn't have to but try a call to synchronize after the set_application_property call.
