ODI Planning module reverse error

Hi John,
When trying to reverse my Planning application through ODI i came across the following error
org.apache.bsf.BSFException: exception from Jython: Traceback (innermost last):
File "<string>", line 3, in ?
ImportError: No module named hyperion
I have configured all the required fields but not able to reverse the applcn. please help

Sounds like it could be a pathing issue and ODI can't see the hyperion java files in the odi drivers folder.

Hyperion planning application reverse error in ODI

When trying to reverse the Planning application we are getting the below error. Please suggest. I have checked the connection details and everything looks fine

I am not trying to import the model from any folder but reversing it in the Model. Please help me out

I cannot forward the screenshots but this is what i did.
In the topology manager under Hyperion Planning i created a dataserver. In the data server i have given the
<servername>:11333 in the sever details and <username> <password> to my Planning Application.
Then gave the Application name and mentioned the Context and connected it with the Logical schema.
Then in the desigener, i created a moldel folder and mentioned the technology as Hyperion Planning and in the reverse tab selected customised reverse. then connected my context and agent and selected RKM Hyperion Planning and clicked on reverse.
And when i have seen in the operator i got the error saying failed to import model into ODIrepository.
Also the following error is there

ODI and Hyperion Planning Module

Hi, is anyone using the planning module with odi? I'd like to know how to delete a dimension.

Hi Roberta,
You can use the ODI IKM to delete members by setting the operation column to delete but Planing does not allow a dimension to be deleted. At least as far as I know. If you need to delete a Planning dimension you might post or search the Planning forum.

ODI Planning Attribute Dimension

I have an existing Product dimension that was created via ODI 10.1.5.6 to Planning 11.1.1.3.03 -- the Product Dim loads fine. Then I attached an attribute dimension called "Product Line" to it using custom attributes. I added four attributes to attach to products. Then re-reversed the Planning application in ODI Planning Model. I can see "Product Line" attribute load dimension (to load new attributes) in the Dimension hierarchy in ODI. However I cannot see a new Column for "Product Line" under the "Product" dimension in ODI. Am I missing something??

So adding the manual dimension seemed like it would work. However it gave me an error as it didn't recognize it when I executed the integration. In any event, deleted the planning model, recreated it and reversed it and the field showed up. Fun stuff! Thanks again.

Creating a planned order with error "Material requires configuration"

Dear All,
I am facing a problem for creation of a planned order with error "Material requires configuration".
To follow the note 180317, I change Account Assignment Category to "U" (Unknown).
However, the system still does display the same error.
Could you please help provide possible solution for this?

How to install ODI Planning Adapter

Hi Friends,
One of my client is trying to install the ODI Planning Adapter. After unzip of the file we have two folders: Drivers and impexp. I recall that we are supposed to copy the contents of these folders somewhere but I cannot find documentation and what I should do.
Can anyone suggest on how to instal planning adapter.I searched for documentation in odiap_93110_readme.pdf I don't see instruction on how to install the ODI planning adapter.
If anyone can give me a step by step procedure to instal planning adapter it would be great help.

I am new to oracle BI space . i need to load data from my flat file source to hyperion planning 9.3.0.1 application.
Here are the steps i followed:
downloaded and installed ODI 10.1.3.4.
i could find the adpater for hyperion planning 9.3.0.1 for ODI.
Can somebody please help me out and tell me where the above mentioned installation file is located in internet.please share the location...
Some how or the other i could able to find the odiap_93110.pdf file which lets me to know about installation instructions.

After I configured subscriptions with many monitors, error alerts appear at SCOM(scom 2012 r2) console in active alert page.
I googled it and found some topics at TechNet but I could not figure it out. Alert description is shown below

As I understand, this issue occurs and remains after I configure a subscription with too many rules and/or monitors( i.e al available rule and/or monitor of a management pack).
After I had deleted those subscription with many rule/monitor, this issue was resolved.
Any idea?

Hi, We recently started getting these errors a couple times a day. There are 12 of them in total. We also have exactly 12 subscriptions. Does this indicate some db issue causing all of these

COPA Planning Module on R/3 side and update to BW

For some record types we are using the COPA Planning Module on R/3 to "upload" to COPA. Running COPA reports in R/3 these record types show up. In BW, the dataloads are not picking these record types up.
So my question:
What has to happen on the R/3 side, when using the COPA planning module, to "upload/update" these records so BW recognizes them?

How to implement the WIP in production planning module?

Good afternoon! We are planning to Implement the WIP in Production Planning Module. Current set-up, we create production order and confirmed for all process in production transaction especially the consumption of raw materials and Goods receipt of FG from one Production order. We have two activity in production transaction. But we would like to separate the process per activity. Can we ask on how to separate the transaction or implementing the WIP? To create production order as semi-finished goods and one production order for final finished goods. We would like to ask for your expertise and advise on how to implement WIP in SAP PP that there is no duplication of manufacturing FG cost.
We would like also to know all FI entries per transaction to make sure there is no double entries in manufacturing cost of FG.

When you start the planning modeler, the web browser issues one of the following messages "The page cannot be displayed" or "Application stopped" and it does not even display the initial screen of the modeler. There may be several reasons for this problem. To analyze this problem, proceed as follows:
a) If you used Transaction RSPLAN in the SAP GUI to start the planning modeler, then you must appropriately maintain the "Settings for Starting the Planning Modeler" in the Implementation Guide under 'SAP NetWeaver' -> 'Business Intelligence' -> 'BI-Integrated Planning'.
b) Check if the J2EE Engine is running. To do this, call the start page of the J2EE Engine (for example, http://server.company.com:port). If the system issues the message "The page cannot be displayed" at this stage, the J2EE Engine is not running.
c) Check if the Web Dynpro framework is running: Call a Web Dynpro application from the Web Dynpro framework, for example, the Web Dynpro test application http://server.company.com:port/webdynpro/dispa tcher/sap.com/tcwdsamplestestsuiteuuie/TestSuiteUUIE. If you cannot start this test application, there is probably a problem with the Web Dynpro framework.
d) Check if the related software components are deployed: Call another Web Dynpro application from the software components BI-REPPLAN or BI-WDALV. If you cannot start the modeler

a question regarding ODI loading Smart Lists Data...
Can somebody confirm if we can load data from a source file which has the smart lists labels, instead of the smart list values id (ex: YES instead of 1)? i suppose Planning will do the conversion when loading to essbase
By the way, is Outline load utility working in the same way?

by the way I was referring to loading data containing smart lists accounts. In any case, I have seend that you have other blog entry where you were loading data using labels instead of keys

This is what I was looking for.
Another question, in outline load we have the chance of putting driver members in the source file which makes the process more flexible. Think if our driver members (Accounts) change dynamically.
Wuold it be any customization possible to add the same functionality to the ODI Planning KM?
We are not likely to use Essbase KM and joins with Plannign repository tables as our source data has dates, free text, figures,smarlists accounts, etc.
