Office 2013 - How to Add Dropbox as a Cloud Service

Office 2013 has a great new feature where cloud storage services can register as a place within the open/save menu, and within the user's account. While we wait for Dropbox to officially support this, I have a workaround for those people using Office 2013
who need to see the Dropbox icon beside SkyDrive.
The script that you can download and run is here:

It modifies the registry based on Microsoft's document, "Integrating additional cloud storage services in Office 2013" found at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35474
I've only tested this on Windows 8, so if somebody on Windows 7 can let me know how it works that would be fantastic.

Great thing to have, but executing batch files is not secure.
Try to install new for Microsoft Office that embeds Dropbox integration into it in the same way but has nice and simple installer.
There is one more killing feature currently. Our plugin allows to load and review change history of the document right from Microsoft Word and Excel.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to group by on more than 2 columns in a List View in SharePoint 2013.
There is no out of the box way to achieve your scenario directly.
As a workaround, we can use the following method to achieve it.
First, we can insert Data View Web Parts in SharePoint Designer 2013.
It’s because the SharePoint Designer 2013 can’t support Design view, then the Data View Web Parts XSL cannot be visually manipulated.

What is the best way to control access to the Office 2013 application shortcuts?
Because it must be published globally, how can we only allow certain users to access Office 2013 on RDS servers when the default action would mean all users can access it?
Can removing the shortcuts using the DeploymentConfig file (see

Office 2013 - How to uninstall completely?

Hi there,
it seems that the Office installer for 2013 is a bit messed up.
I do a clean install of Office 2013 on a Windows 7 64Bit version and than want to remove it but there is some left over.
The "Send To OneNote" printer still exists and also a lot of registry hives. I tired modifying the office64ww.msi package which I assume is connected with the Printer but also after removing all custom actions which have the word printer in it,
I still can start a repair and the printer comes back again. Sure, I want to remove it but at first I have to find out how it is being installed so that I can remove it probably and not by writing a script around the complete Office installation.

CustomAction ONUninstallPrinter returned actual error code 1603 but will be translated to success due to continue marking

How to add a datbase in Cloud Control 12c

Hi:
I was trying to add a database in cloud control 12c. I clicked on Targets -> database -> add. Then select a hostname. But the next screen doesn't have item found (no database found). I checked the server and the agent is running. I also upload and secure agent. Also tried stop and start agent a couple of times. What else I should try? I used same way added a couple other databases but dont know why this one doesnt work. Your help is appreciated. (BTW, a listener is discovered.)

Did you install the agent and the database using same user?
and the primary group of the user owning database should be same as the primary group of the user who installed the agent.

Add Operational Insights to Cloud Service during publish

Hello,
I have several Azure Services that I am already utilizing Application Insights on. What I would like to do is have Operational Insights added during the standard "Publish to Windows Azure" that I use from Visual Studio thereby removing the need
to manually remote into the machine and then install Microsoft Monitoring Agent and configuring my account. Can you point me to some resources demonstrating or explaining how to accomplish this?
A couple of notes:
My group has dozens of services and workers so manual install/configure is not an option for us.
All of our machines currently also have Application Insights setup and running so MMA already has a tab for Application Insights that displays if you open MMA however, there is no tab available in MMA for Operational Insights. The only way that I can add
this tab is to uninstall and then re-install using the installer found on the Operational Insights site however, doing so removes Application Insights.

We are working on a VM Extension to push the agent into IaaS VMs from Azure Portal as a first class experience.

How to configure Anti Malware for cloud Services

Is there a way to enable Anti-malware monitoring of cloud service. With the latest release for enabling cloud service, should we still need to have power shell has start up for cloud Services and Power-shell will invoke XML template of anti malware.
I could not be proper documentation of how to enable from Cloud Services solution perspective

Should i still need to have Power shell has startup and configure it for CSDEF file
Where should i place xml template in cloud project, in the power shell, we need to give location of xml file, should xml file and power shell script should be @ same level i.e in the same directory
If we enable Monitoring of Anti malware services for cloud services, we need to give storage account, is there a way where storage account pickup dynamically based on envrionment we are deploying. End of the day,I'm looking for automated way of setting

The search for foundation 2013 is working fine with me. I want to add the view document property in the search option? can any one tell me how can i do it in foundation 2013.

I see what you are asking for. I am not sure if its achievable as of MII 12.1 version. I am using PCo only to listen and UDS to write to the tags. Let me know if we can also write to the tags via PCo.
I have UDS, PCo installed on the OPC server, seperate from MII server.

For progressive profiling you'd actually want to implement a cloud component rather than a connector. FreshAddress and LeadSpend both provide email validation components that you can simply drag and drop onto your landing pages.
Theoretically you should be able to implement both the progressive profiling and the email validation components simultaneously. I haven't tested this use-case myself but have had success running the Demandbase and FreshAddress components on the same LP.

Unable to add reserved IP to cloud service / VM

I have a "Visual Studio Premium with MSDN" subscription.
In order to perform some application testing I need a VM with a fixed/reserved public IP.
I have set up a cloud service assigned to a VM with Windows Server 2012, and I also have set up a reserved IP.
Now, when I try to link the reserved IP with the cloud service I get an error:

Hi,
Reserved IP is associated with a Cloud Service.
Reserved IP allows you to reserve Virtual IP address in Azure, which you can then associate to a new cloud service. The Reserved IP address is sticky, meaning once it’s associated with the cloud service, it won’t change unless you decide to disassociate
it. In a Virtual Machine scenario, the Reserved IP address will remain associated with your cloud service even when all the VMs in the cloud service are stop/deallocated. At this time, you can’t reserve an IP address for a cloud service that you have already
created.
However if you want to retain the DIP of the VM, you can use Static DIP.
A static DIP stays with the VM even through a stop/deprovision state. You can specify a static DIP by using PowerShell at the time you create the VM, or you can update an existing VM. However it is required that the VM is a part of Azure VNET.
