I found the proper thread on Microsoft forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macofficepreview-macinstall/office- preview-crashes-at-startup/343455aa-5257-48be-babc-8e8f65196756?page=2
The following steps worked for me!
Please do the following:
1. Open Terminal
2. Type defaults delete com.microsoft.Outlook, to delete the old preferences
3. killall cfprefsd (to kill the cached prefs)
4. Launch Outlook
Note this will ask you to import again, but if you imported before no need to do it again, the data is already imported correctly. So hit "Not Now" and it should launch Outlook successfully.

Outlook connector crashes with Office 2007 SP2
Hello. Microsoft has started pushing out Office 2007 SP2, resulting in Outlook crashes for Connector users who apply the patch. The only workaround we've found is to restore the users's system with Windows Restore, and then hide SP2 with Windows Update. A Connector uninstall restores normal Outlook operation. A reinstall of the Connector does not fix the problem.
We're running Outlook Connector 7.2.402.1.
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-8.04 (built Feb 28 2007)
libimta.so 6.2-8.04 (built 19:28:07, Feb 28 2007)
SunOS vmpm1 5.10 Generic_127127-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V490
Error examples:
"faulting application Microsoft Outlook, version 12.0.6423.1000, faulting module sjms32.dll version 7.2.402.1"
"the store was x is being reconciled with the indexer for the following reason: the store was last opened on a different machine."
"the store x is being re-pushed to the indexer for the following reason: index reset, re-push entire store"
Is there a solution? Will a patch will be issued for Connector 7.2? I haven't tried Connector 7.3 because our messaging and calendar servers don't meet its version requirements.
David. We're seeing the same issue with Office 2007 SP2 and Connector 7.3 Update1. We're running JCS 5 (roughly Update 1 patches on top of it).
Here's the MS error each time. I can click on Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks. As soon as I click on any email folder, crash.

I also tried this with the Office 2007 Outlook Feature pack (also contained within SP2) that was released early for various performance fixes. Same error issue. I resolved by uninstalling the Feature Pack. I tried uninstalling SP2, no luck. I also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the SJ Connector, no luck.
I will check desktop search, see if I can turn it off for Outlook and see what occurs. -
Hallo Community,
I can’t neither open nor edit the files ( Wolrd, Excel ...) that are located in our sharepoint. When i try that, i get firstly the sharepoint connexion mask, where i can give my sharepoint login and my passwort, what i do and afterwards i get
the following error message with only the ok button:
There is a problem with your account. Please try later again .
When i click on ok, the file don’t open.
Is Office for Mac 2016 preview able to open sharepoint file? how can i fix this issue?
On the browser work all without any probleme. I have already try to use a another account, the result ist unfortunately the same.
I have full rihgt on the sharepoint site and we use office 365 Pro plus.
Best regards,
YannickAssuming you have quit and reopened the Office applications and you have shut down and then rebooted OS X with no change in the results uninstalling and reinstalling Office has been a standard "quick fix" for MS Office problems for well over 10 years. It works often enough to be well worth trying.

Outlook 2013 crashes when opening Calendar search result
I have a user who uses her Outlook 2013 calendar extensively, mainly to note for herself when she has spoken to a customer, and creating appointments for when she needs to speak to them again. (This is outside of our policy to note the contact in
MS CRM.) She can have scores of such Calendar items each day.
When seraching for these appointments in her Calendar, she gets the list of results, but Oulook crashes when she tries to open any of them. Sometimes Outlook restarts on its own, sometimes she must relaunch it herself.
Related threads reference a wwlib.dll error, but she is not getting that. It is Outlook.exe itself that is crashing. There are other threads that reference other open windows, or items containing webpages or tables, but these do not apply to her, either.

My understanding of the Scanpst.exe process is that it also disables any addons which might cause crashing, but the issue is still being experienced. Running Scanpst.exe a second time (appending the previous log, although it seemed to actually prepend the
file) only returned a few lines from the top of the result above ending with "Attempting to validate BBT."
Fixes not attempted yet that I have found performing searches include running the Office Repair tool, or checking for KB2817631 (a Word update that is apparently having adverse affects on Outlook, not attempted yet because it seems to be related to the wwlib.dll
error, which is not happening here).
Any thoughts out there? Thanks!Mavis,
Thanks for the reply. Running Outlook using /cleansharing and
/cleanroamedprefs did not have any effect when used individually or in combination with each other.
Running the Search Index Rebuild option also did not seem to do anything, as the pop-up message indicated that it may take a long time to finish, and yet seemed to finish instantaneously, not giving any indication that the indexing took place. The option
window immediately said "Indexing complete" for 23,755 items.
As to the Outlook Forum, they are the ones who directed me to this forum (you can see the thread on the Answers support page under Office - Office 2013 - Microsoft Office Outlook - Office on Windows 7, under the title "Outlook 2013 restarts when
opening Calendar Search result item" first posted on Dec 11, 2013), as Girish M felt that it might be due to Exchange, and not Outlook. (I have no reports of any of our other users on the same Exchange server having the problem with their Outlook, but
they also do not use it the way this user has been.)
I can repost the issue there, or continue the same thread, if you think the issue lies with them. Was the "Answers" site the improper place to post, perhaps? Should it go in a different thread on Technet instead?
Thanks for your assistance!

Outlook 2010 crashing when closing program
I'm using Windows 8 64bit, but using MS office as 32 bit. Since installing LeanPrint 32bit, every time I close out Outlook it crashes and tells me to uninstall this program; then Outlook restarts and then I can close down properly. Please advise what I may do to correct this.
So far I don't have problems when using LeanPrint in my other MS programs or Adobe reader.
ThanksHello,
We could reproduce the outlook startup issue at our end. We have identified a fix for the issue and a patch has been made available via Automatic updates of Adobe LeanPrint.
To get the patch, please follow below steps:
1) Go to Windows Start button -> All programs -> Adobe LeanPrint -> My Savings
2) On top right, click on Settings icon -> Check for Updates...
3) It should download the latest update for you. Install that latest version. In case you already have the latest version, it will say no update available.
The latest version containing fix for this issue is 1.0.936 (Verify it by going to Windows -> Start button -> All programs -> Adobe LeanPrint -> My Savings -> Settings icon -> About.
P.S.: In case your outlook plug-in got disabled due to that previously existing issue, you need to re-enable it by following steps given here:
On Outlook 2007 - you can go to Tools -> Trust Center -> Add-ins -> Manage (Select Disabled items) in the dropdown and enable the plug-in.
On Outlook 2010 - you can go to File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Add-ins -> Manage (Select Disabled items) in the dropdown and enable the plug-in.
Thanks,

user complains that often when he forwards, sometimes when he replies, outlook crashes on him.
here are the steps I have taken:
tried short and long repair of Office, no change.
tried a system restore going back 2 weeks in case it was a windows update, no change.
uninstalled Office, then reinstalled office, no change.
deleted his profile, then recreated his profile, no change.
user states that it happens most often when he forwards an email, and not any particular email, just random ones.

Outlook 2013 crashes when adding an event using an emailed ics file.
I use Outlook 2013, Hotmail and an Android phone to manage my calendar, with Outlook 2013 and Android synching to the Outlook.com account.
Scenario 1:
1. Receive meeting requests with attached ics files from an Apple Mac user
2. Drag ics file attachment to the Outlook calendar
3. "Meeting" window opens
4. Click "Accept" then "Send Response Now" OR "Do Not Send a Response"
OR "Edit the Response Before Sending" then "Send"
5. Outlook crashes (see event log below) and restarts
6. On restart the meeting request has been added to the Outlook calendar
7. Meeting is not in the Outlook.com calendar
8. Meeting organiser does not receive email response
Event Log:
Faulting application name: OUTLOOK.EXE, version: 15.0.4675.1003, time stamp: 0x548ba4b9

Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
Scenario 2:
1. Receive meeting requests with attached ics files from an Apple Mac user
2. Double click on the ics file
3. Error message "The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found"
Observations:
Re-creating the Hotmail account OST file makes no difference.
The workaround described here:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/cannot-open-ics-meeting-invite/99ce57cc-5ffe-42f7-ba0a-87d6d928cb85
requires approximately 15 clicks, instead of two or three, so isn't workable for large numbers of meeting requests.
Meeting requests can be added to the local pst file calendar successfully. This calendar is not used because it doesn't allow synching with other devices.
System configuration:
Windows 8.1 - Most recent Windows Update check: "No updates are available"
Outlook 2013 (15.0.4675.1003), standalone installation (no Exchange Server) - Most recent Office Updates check: "The latest version of Office is installed on your computer"
Email containing ics attachments (and all other email) is sent to an email alias which is then forwarded to my ISP-provided email address
ISP email address is connected using IMAP/SMTP
Outlook.com / hotmail account is connected using EASSorry for the delay. I was supposed to get alerts on this, but I never did. N2K has been built and rebuilt, and still the error comes up. For one Exchange user that's in the N2K file, I can look at it now, and it matches up with others on the same server.
But 2-3 days from now, it will somehow be changed to“/o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user” and that starts Outlook crashing again. The error happened for several months, and during this time the user was moved to a new
Exchange server. A new profile was created after the move, but the problem followed him.
I removed the offending user again today. The entry in n2K is getting changed to “/o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user”. I found that is is a legacyExchange issue, but I don't know from where it's being changed -
on the user who's Outlook is crashing, on the user sending the email, or on the AD server. I am not an Exchange expert, so reading a few websites that point out what this is didn't really help me figure out how to remove the legacyExchange problem. The customer
is using hosted Exchange, so I can't get onto the server to dig into it. Is it in the Global Address Book, or a user's individual contact?
I ran OffCAT and it pointed out two addins that had Resiliancy set. They were both Outlook Addins, DPOfcX.ComposeRibbon and OutlookChangeNotifier.Connect. So I hope they aren't the issue. -

Acrobat XI plugin for Outlook 2013 crashes constantly; has to be re-enabled
I have a user that has Windows 7 (32 bit) and Oultook 2013 (also 32 bit). The export to PDF plugin did not work with Acrobat X so we upgraded to Acrobat XI, however this plugin crashes and "disappears" quite often, requiring the user to open the settings and re-enabling the plugin. This will also occasionally cause Outlook to crash. Any suggestions on how to resolve this or at least further troubleshoot?
There is a known problem with Acrobat and the Outlook plug-in for PDF export, both with 32-bit and 64-bit Office. Simply stated, as you convert more e-mails, especially HTML-based e-mails laden with images, a memory leak causes Acrobat to run out of memory.
If you are experiencing this particular problem, the “fix” is to monitor (via the Windows Task Manager), a process with a name beginning with HTML2PDFWrap. If its “Memory (Private Working Set) begins to approach 1,500,000 K in size, at any time in which you are not doing a conversion of one or more Outlook messages to PDF, right click on that process in the Windows Task Manager and select “End Process.” The next time you need to convert an Outlook message to PDF, Acrobat will automatically restart that process.
(Note that a bug has been filed with Acrobat Engineering and we are awaiting a fix to the particular issue described above.)

bostjancHello again bostjanc,
Doing an online scan is a lazy approach and still holds doors open for viruses to survive the scan. Most smart viruses will detect if a scan is in progress and thus hide themselves from
the scanner. Corollary: You can NEVER trust an online scan even if it finds viruses! (there might be others too).
A better but yet not foolproof way is to do an offline scan where any possible virus is not given the chance to start executing itself and thus hiding from any virus scan. The virus
scan software database must be updated and hold all possible existing viruses (which is of course impossible). It's, however, a better approach than letting a possible virus dictate the outcome of an online scan.
With the hope that you will reconsiderate your IT Policy ...
Best regards George -
Since installing Mountain Lion, Outlook 2011 crashes
Since installing Mountain Lion, Outlook 2011 crashes. A few seconds after opening I get this error message
"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."
Tried rebooting, haven't yet tried reinstalling Outlook from disc.
Other apps seem OK so far.
Help is greatly appreciated.Reinstalling Office 2011 did not fix the problem, but on the Microsoft.com/mac site I found instructions for rebuilding the Outlook database (Identity). This worked, I no longer have the problem with Outlook 2011 Mac.

Outlook 2010 crashing after bunch of windows updates on this tuesday
There were a ton of office 2010 patches released this tuesday and after that we are noticing that Outlook is crashing a lot.
Disabling addins helps for a while, but it crashes all the time.
We have Exchange 2010 and yes it even crashes in safe mode.
How can we diagnose the issue.
konkaniHi Konkani,
Actually, we've seen some other reports that a recent Outlook 2010 update (KB 2956128) will cause Outlook 2010 not working properly, but the symptoms are various.
We would like to collect more information for further investigation. Could you please provide your detailed system info?
Also, Could you please have a check and send us the log files? You can send the log files to this email account:
[email protected] and inform us here (the email subject should be the link of this thread).
Your kind assistance on this are very much appreciated.

-ALHi,
Try a start Outlook in safe mode and test the results again.
Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click Microsoft Outlook.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try
to disable them.
If the problem persists in safe mode, try a new Outlook profile
==============
1.
Exit Outlook.
2.
Go to Start > Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.
3.
Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.
4.
Click Add.
5.
Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.
6.
Highlight the profile, and choose Properties. Then Email Accounts.., add your email account in the profile.
7.
Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.
Can the problem be resolved?

WHY UPDATING FIREFAX IS CAUSING OUTLOOK TO CRASH?
Outlook and Firefox crash unexpectedly.
Hi Joshua,
As what Sathish says, the Microsoft Exchange Add-in is Exchange support for Unified Messaging, e-mail permission rules, and calendar availability. Generally, it would not cause any issue. Please change a computer for the problematic user to have a try.
Please make sure the latest patches and service packs are installed for the Outlook 2013. We can collect any event logs in Event Viewer for further analysis. Additionally, here are some similar cases for your reference:
