Office365 incorrectly labeling my mail as Bulk Mail/ spam

At my office, we send about 5k transactional emails per day. Our email provider shows us has having an excellent reputation with top 10% open and click rates.
However, last week Office365 started labeling our email as spam. Specifically, it is labeled as Bulk Mail with a BCL of 7. Here are some headers from one of the emails:
X-Microsoft-Antispam: UriScan:;
X-Microsoft-Antispam: BCL:7;PCL:0;RULEID:(91001);SRVR:BY1PR0201MB1048;
X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AVStamp-Service: 1.0
X-Exchange-Antispam-Report-Test: UriScan:;
X-Exchange-Antispam-Report-CFA-Test: BCL:7;PCL:0;RULEID:(601002);SRVR:BY1PR0201MB1048;
What is particularly troubling is that these are clearly transactional emails (order confirmation / password reset) and definitely not Bulk Mail.
Thanks for any help,
Evan

They will not open a case for you unless you are an O365 customer, but you can give it a try I guess:

How do I fix this? How do I stop it from happening. So far, I have had to ask people to individually whitelist us, but that is a long and inefficient process *especially*
    with new clients.

    Hi,
    X-Microsoft-Antispam is a new
Exchange Online Protection (EOP) header. Microsoft uses both internal and third-party sources to identify bulk mail and determine the appropriate BCL. This rating is exposed in the
    X-Microsoft-Antispam header of every message.
Generally, this is something that can only be controlled by the administrator of your recipients, not you. The only solution, I think, is to contact your recipients.
As I know, Exchange Online server administrator can create Exchange Transport rules to search for specific Bulk Complaint Level (BCL) message header values or for text patterns or phrases frequently found in bulk emails. Any message
containing these characteristics will be marked as spam.
I'm personally not familiar with this, not sure how to 'unblock' your email address there. For further assistance, I'd suggest you post a question in the forum of
Exchange Online, as current forum only focuses on questions and feedback for Microsoft Office client:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/msonline/en-US/home?forum=onlineservicesexchange
The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Email names are appearing incorrectly in my mail

Email names are appearing incorrectly in my mail inbox.
The from names are incorrect or missing the full name, some from names have commas around them when others don't, some are coming through with 'test' in the subject line on my phone but if I view on my computer, 'test' is not showing..
I work in email marketing so this is extrmely important that the correct from names are displaying and certain text i.e 'test' are not showing on a live email sent to customers...

This seems to be a problem with Yahoo! that started within the past few days.  I am assuming that you are accessing your Yahoo! Mail through Safari.  Until a fix is issued, you have two options -- (1) use the Mail app included in iOS, logging in with your Yahoo! account information or (2) when in Yahoo! Mail in Safari, click on your profile name/pic in the bottom left corner, choose Options, and then choose the last option, which displays your e-mail using the older classic version of Yahoo! Mail.  It's not as pretty or easy to manuever around, but at least it shows the images in your e-mails, which is the most important thing.  Both Apple and Yahoo! have been contacted about this issue, so hopefully a fix will be released soon.

  • How do you make labels from mail merger

I have a list of names and address on excel-how do can I turn them into labels via mail merger or some other way

    BDAqua wrote:
Do you have these addresses in Address Book, or a way to Import them to AB?
At the very least it's in Excel. One can the save an Excel file as CSV or tab-delimited. Address Book can import CSV or tab-delimited. I checked the Help docs   , although I think I did it once before when getting contacts off a cell. phone (no iSync) and into Address Book.
HRM130, what other programs do you have? If you have Excel, do you have Word? You can also do the merge with Word.
In Word 2011, under "Tools", there "Labels...". (In 2008 I think it's in a similar place.) You  select or create the template for the labels, then you select the Excel file as the the datasource. You can then play around a bit with which fields for the merge and how they are positioned on the screen -- you can preview those modifications. Then once you're happy you let the merge rip and you get a Word document with all the labels, which you can fine tune, e.g. set everything to all caps, etc.

  • Send Sharepoint list items in Office365 Outlook to external mailing list

    Hello everyone
I'd like to be able to send a 'weekly update' mail to a mailing list with external email addresses from within Office365 Outlook. The mail should consist of list items (conditional, not exceeding a certain date in history) coming from a Sharepoint (in Office365)
teamsite. So these should be 'exported' from Sharepoint to a new Office365 Outlook message (and f.e. be temporarely saved as a draft). It'd also be nice if we could add extra text and/or images to the new message before it's being sent.
A second question: is it possible to send a mail to all Office365 users who have access to a certain subsite whenever something on that subsite is created? F.e. a new document is uploaded, a new Discussion is launched, ... Some sort of automatic notification
system once something on the subsite is created. It is imperative that users don't have to set these automatic notifications (or alerts) manually but they're being done for everyone, even if it's a new account.

    Hi Robin,
Workflow is associated with single item, and changes made to a item will trigger your workflow, hence selecting multiple list and activating the workflow would be a challenge.
Pre SharePoint 2013 we had big challenge in looping through the entire list items which was one of the most sought after feature in workflow. However, SP 2013 offers a way to loop through the items now.
I think you can leverage this to get your workflow done.
Here are some references to start with -

  • 'Undeliverable Mail' SPAM

I have recently started to get a fair amount of 'Undeliverable Mail' SPAM.
    Anyone else getting this?
    imac G5 20; 1gig RAM; 160HD; airport; bluetooth keyboard & mouse; bose companion 3 speakers   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I've received the same before as have many others which is an indication a spammer has used your email address to appear as the sending email address for a bulk spam mailing.
Spammers do not provide a valid sending or return email address which is constantly changed and some spammers use a valid email address pulled from their list of "known good" email addresses.
This is likely what has occurred and if so, there isn't much if anything you can do about it.

  • Mail spam suddenly

Running 10.7.5,  I have mail setup it has been working great for months.  In the last week though I have started getting tons of spam in the following format.
    From: Mail Delivery System
To: My email address on the server
Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender
Body:  Is basically my mail server telling me I sent something to a user but I never did.
To verify this I checked my smtp logs and I can see that nothing went out of my mail server,  but I can see all the undeliverables pouring into my system and the end result is tons and tons of junk mail in my inbox.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might fight this spam?
Thanks for all the help guys!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I might fight this spam?
Grab yourself a beer and go sit by the pool. That's about all you can do.
If the mail isn't going through your server, you have zero influence or opportunity to affect it. The likelyhood is that someone's just generating span using a random/dummy email address that happens to map back to you.
SMTP was never really designed to authenticate mail and while you can lock down your own server there is very little you can do to prevent others generating mail (spam) in your name.
If you're really interested, look at implementing SPF and/or DomainKeys. These add a layer of authentication to your messages that can elevate the trust of your real emails, but there's no guarantee that any remote mail server will honor them, or reject mail that comes from an invalid address (SPF) or isn't properly signed (DomainKeys).
I suppose as a good domain owner you should be implementing SPF and DomainKeys anyway, since these systems are only really effective when used by the majority, but it's not going to be a golden arrow that magically makes this problem go away, hence the beer.

  • Mail spam filters and phishing

Yesterday's UK Sunday Times gave an email address to which sufferers were advised to forward bank phishing emails - it is, presumably, a bank sponsored site which allows them to try and trace and/or stem this ever increasing tide of spam.
Most of these bank phishing emails are caught by me ISP before I even get them, but several do make it into my spam folder or in-tray. If the latter, I mark them as spam manually.
If I were to forward the emails that do reach me (after being manually marked or automatically filtered as spam) to the suggested address, would that affect the "learning" process of my Apple Mail spam filter?
I can't think how it could and I'm keen to help the banks reduce this tiresome avalanche of rubbish (which seems to be increasing) but I don't want to confuse my filtering process.
    Thanks.

  • Mail Spam gone mad

Mail spam filtering is too strong!
I ask here, as I don't mind delving into XML files and doing search and replace with Textwrangler if someone has an idea how to isolate what is spam and what is not.    So is there a file I can edit that forces it to only consider certain keywords and e-mail addresses spam?
I want to create an automatic filter that is neither too strong, nor too weak.
    Thank you.

    Hi Tim.
This kind of problems are caused by some corruption in one or more of the files used by the junk filter. Try this first:
    1. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail and disable junk mail filtering.
    2. Quit Mail, then open it again.
    3. Go to Preferences > Junk Mail, enable junk mail filtering, and configure it however you wish.
    4. Reset the junk database (Preferences > Junk Mail > Reset).
Alternatively, instead of (or in addition to) disabling/enabling the junk filter, you may try switching from Automatic to Training mode, quitting Mail, then switching back to Automatic mode.

  • Library.xml incorrectly labeling song paths.

I am trying to carry my Library.xml file over to my new Windows 7 PC from XP. I have to slightly edit the paths for them to work, but I came across what seems to be a very large problem. The paths for my music files are incorrectly labeled.
    Example: file://localhost/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/USER/My%20Documents/My%20Music/iT unes/iTunes%20Music/
It is using forward slashes "/" however, that is not how Windows labels them. Both Windows XP and Windows 7 uses the "\" not the forward slash "/". So why is iTunes exporting the library with forward slashes, when that is not the correct way? I need this fixed so I can correctly transfer my music and its rating/preferences etc over.
    Thanks.

Editing the XML is not the way to preserve all the data in your iTunes library. The XML file is provided for 3rd party programs to access and while it is possible to rebuild most of the information by importing the XML data into a clean library it is an overly complicated way of managing a simple transfer. More importantly any devices you have will see this as a new library rather than your existing library and which will mean resyncing all the content needlessly.
Your example would suggest that your iTunes Library and your iTunes Media folders are in the typical layout, i.e. an iTunes folder containing the library files, Album Artwork folder and the *iTunes Media* (or iTunes Music) folder which holds all your media. In this layout the library is portable and can be moved or copied to any new drive or path. The relative paths from the library database to the media files remain unchanged and when you open the library in its new location iTunes works out the adjustments on the fly.
At the simplest level you simply copy the iTunes folder from the Music folder on the old computer to the Music folder on the new one, install iTunes and it just works...
If, however, your media *is not* already inside the iTunes Media/iTunes Music folder then you should consolidate your library before the transfer OR arrange for any unconsolidated media to be at precicely the same path on the new machine.
If your iTunes Media or iTunes Music folder *is not* inside the main iTunes folder that holds your library, e.g. you'd previously changed the location of the Media folder to an external drive, then the library files need to be copied to the parent of the media folder first. Once copied you can hold shift when starting iTunes to open the library files in the new location. Test that iTunes works in this new location before transferring. This parent folder (or the library files and media folder if necessary) can then be copied from one machine to the other. If the parent folder isn't called iTunes you can rename it on the target machine, otherwise iTunes will pick up the folder name as the window title - great for "Steve's Test Library", not so good when it reads "C:\". Obviously moves, copies & renames take place with iTunes closed.
Since your media folder is called *iTunes Music* you will originally have installed iTunes 8 or earlier. With iTunes closed you can rename this folder as *iTunes Media* to match the default layout in more recent builds. Again iTunes will just accept the change without any issues.
P.S. As to the representation of paths using / in the XML, this is perfectly acceptable provided any program that uses the paths can substitute with \ if required to suit the local file system. On a Mac, for example, the forward slash is the correct directory separator. If you still decide to edit the XML and import that then don't "correct" these and everything will be fine.

  • Creating Labels in Mail forms

    Hello everyone,
I'm currently working on a CRM Marketing implementation.
We are using the Segment builder to create target groups and then either send emails or print mails to the Business partners in that target group.
Is it possible to create and print labels using the Mail Forms in that scenario?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Jacques,
You can even try with the File Export Function. The file-export function enables you to create a file with a list of business partners and corresponding specified attribute values. You can use this file for further processing, for example, to send to a lettershop for printing prior to sending as direct mail for example.
During campaign execution, a file is created in CSV or XML. format and attached to the corresponding campaing (according to configuration settings)
The content of the file is defined in the same way as with the mail forms. Each line in the mail form will represent a different column in the data file.
    Step1: Define File Export Variant
Transaction Code SPRO->CRM->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->Campaing Execution->Define FIle Export Variants.
    Step 2: Define Communication Medium
Transaction Code SPRO->CRM->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->Campaign Execution->Define Communication Medium
    Step3: Create Mail Form

  • How to "label" the mails, as that in gmail

    My question is simple
I like to use the Mail in Moutain Lion but since I use gmail heavily, I wonder how to "label" selected email as that done in gmail browser.
In OSX Mail there are "mailbox" that collect all the emails in the same gmail "label". So there should be a way to "put/label" the selected email "into/by" the "mailbox", right?
Now what I could do is reading the email in OSX Mail, but when I want to label a selected email I go back to the browser and label it.
It is so indirect and not handy.
    Please advise
    Thanks !

    Thank you for your reply.
But, by your approach, then the selected mail is not longer in the "inbox", right ?
In OSX Mail, I could move one mail into one mailbox and indeed in Gmail it will be moved into the corresponding folder. But it is no longer shown in the "inbox". Am I doing something wrong?
I used to just "label" the selected mail in browser because in this way it still stay in the "inbox"  :>
BTW, how in OSX Mail "label" a selected mail while still keep it in the "inbox" ?

  • Flickr Group RSS feed has incorrect dates in Mail - How do I fix this?

I since I've updated to Safari 3.1 RSS posts from Flickr group pools have had an incorrect 'Date Received'. Rather than the date they were added to the group pool (the date the RSS post was sent/received) new posts are now dated by the date the photo was uploaded, which could be significantly in the past. So my RSS mailbox is in completely the wrong order. I'm not 100% sure that this is down to the Safari 3.1 update, but it was definitely not a problem before I made the update.
I've checked on other RSS readers and they all work correctly. I also posted on the Flickr Help Forum (http://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/69088/) and it would appear that others have had the same problem with Mail.
Any help would be much appreciated!

It appears the behavior is caused by iCloud pushing the information, to include the password, to Mail.
If I delete my iCloud account password and save the changes, the password reappears without me typing it in.
If I go to System Preferences/iCloud and uncheck the sync Mail box, my iCloud account in Mail disappears. When I recheck the sync Mail box, the account reappears, complete with password.
Based on my testing, you are stuck with things the way they are.
If you want to provide feedback to Apple, you can do that in Mail under the Mail menu.

  • Gmail labels: moving mails in Mail Mavericks 10.9

Mails cannot be moved to a gmail folder with Mail OSX 10.9. At first it seems working correctly, but. After closing Mail the mails are again to be seen in Inbox. I am using a Gmail account with labels using them as folders. I normaly move the mails with the mouse, dropping them onto the label name. (With iPad iOS7 Mail moving is working correctly, only if Mail OSX 10.9 is closed).

Try writing a Rule in Mail/Preferences.
The attached is only an example. You'll probably have to fiddle with it.

  • Problem in updating apps with incorrect (old) e-mail addresses

I have a major problem. I cannot update my phone with any apps. It brings up an old incorrect e-mail address when I try and do this.
On my computer and on my phone settings is the correct e-mail address.
How do I get rid of this e-mail address and get my correct one to display so I can update ?

The Mail.app stores all sent message recipients to the list of Previous Recipients in Mail and the autofill feature pulls from the Address Book and the list of Previous Recipients.
At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Window and select Previous Recipients.
A previous recipient entered in the Address Book will have a vCard icon to the left of the name. You can remove a previous recipient from the list or add a previous recipient to the Address Book that is not already entered.
