OIM 11g R2 escalation configuration in work flow

Hi,
I have created a human task in my workflow where task gets assigned to beneficiary's manager.And building the list of participants using the rule, resulting the assignment to beneficiary's manager. In order to escalate his task in the deadlines tab selected escalate after 2 mins max escalation levels 1 and highest approver title Manager. After doing this task should be assigned to approver's manager(beneficiary manager's manager). But This is not happening in my case. Following error is thrown.
Error in evaluating management chain participant.[[
Could not compute the management chain from user [email protected] upto levels 1 upto title Manager. The management chian is used in the routing slip that is associated with the task definition default/AddAccessApproval!11.0/ApprovalTask.
Verify that the users are seeded correctly to compute the management chain.

The task has expired and the system could not compute the management chain from user [email protected] upto levels 1 upto title Manager to identify the next user to escalate the task to.
Make sure that the escalation policy is specified correctly. Also verify that the users are seeded correctly to compute the management chain.

I am trying to configure the work flow using SWU3, to maintain prefix number, systems asking for the prefix number, which number I have to give, what is the criterion for defining this number

The Prefix number doesn't get transported to production.
What i meant is when you create a workflow in Dev the 1st 3 digits would be 999XXXXX.
So when you transport the workflow from Dev to Prod, the workflow which you created moves into Prod.
As far as i understand, prefix number is required to maintain in Dev to create custom workflow templates. But in Prod, no one is going to create workflow from scratch and hence Prefix maintanence in Prod is not required.
Try out this in Quality or any other test system apart from you Dev if you can.
1) Transport the workflow from Dev to Quality.
2) Dont maintain the prefix in quality system.
3) check if the workflow is working or not in quality.

OIM 11g - Email Notifications configured in human task is not working

Hi,
My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

1) Install Database
2) Run RCU and create Schema for PS1
3) Install Weblogic Server 10.3.6
4) Install SOA Server 11.1.1.6 and Install SOA patches
5) Install IDM Server 11.1.1.2.1
6) Create Domains
7) Configure Security Store Python Script
8) Start both Admin server and SOA server (in 11g R2 SOA server is not required ) but in PS1 it is required to start SOA server before configuring domain.
9) Configure OIM and Design Console
10) Start OIM managed servers

ESS screen customization, Leave configuration and work flow.

Dear Experts,
We are planning to migrate Leave application from ESS java based application to ESS WDA . I know that homepage customization is replaced by Launchpad in WDA, So here are my questions,
1. how to change the overview screen like Area , subarea pages and there description and also to hide links which are not required (marked in attachment).
2. How to change properties of an iview ie Create leave request (on selecting creating leave request it gets opened in separate window but it also include employee welcome screen and navigation menu all over again)
3. Where would I get documentations related to leave application with WDA and how setup workflow with three levels of approvals.

1. In the launch pad lpd_cust, you can add folders, applications etc through which we can get output like what u requested.
       If u don't want any app, u can add it to inactive applications or remove it.
       If it has to be hidden dynamically then from the badi we can achieve it.
2. Opening iView in new window/same window/with or without masthead etc is part of portal parameters for the lpd application, where u can configure it.

OIM 11g R1 - Rule does not work

Hello,
i want to add all users to a specified role "abc", if they are member of organization "xyz"
I created a rule in Design Console:
Type: General
Element: Organization Name == xyz
I added this rule to the role "abc", but the members will not be added automatically to this role.
Why not? Do i have to run a job?

Run the following query:
update user_provisioning_attrs set policy_eval_needed = 1 where usr_key in (select usr_key from usr where act_key = (select act_key from act where act_name = 'xyz') and usr_status = 'Active')
The next time the "Eval User Policy" scheduled task runs, it will evaluate all the users in that org to apply the rule. Be careful doing this though because that many updates could cause a strain on the system so choose how many you update at a time and then process.

Approval work flow for Role based and Resource based

Hi All,
We have to implement approval work flow for the following things in OIM 9.1.0.1
Approval work flow for Functional Roles (Groups in OIM) (Approvalsrequired for users to get these roles)
IT Roles (Resources in OIM) (Approvalsrequired for users to get these resource)
Functional Role (Group) contains policy1,polici2. Polciy1 contains res1,res2 and Policy2 contain res3,res4.I want to create approval work flow for this Functional Role to achieve the following
User raise a request for the functional role, then it should wait to get manager approval. then once its gets approval, that user account should create on all resources which are involved in that group.
And, I have to define approoval work flow for all individual resources to get users account creation on target with approvals. These resources may include in the groups as well.
After getting approval for functional role (Group), then Will OIM starts the approval flow for all resources involved in the group? becase, all resources have approval workflow at resource level also.
My Goal: Approval work flow for Group, should not process the approval work flow for resource. can we do it in OIM 9.1.0.1?
And can we do the same in OIM 11g also?
Please help me and do let me know, if you need any information from my end.

Functional Roles : These are the groups/roles in OIM 10g/11g with access policies attached at the backend.
- Create a dummy resource and name it Request Role or anything as you like. Attach an Object Form to it and have form field for Role Name, this would be a lookup type field linked to all OIM groups (leave system values using lookup query). So a user can select any OIM Group in this request as per configuration. Have approval workflows defined on this dummy resource Request Role and in its Provisioning Process make user/s a part of the requested group.
- Now once the user is made a part of the group, the associated access policy would be invoked automatically and thereby provisioning. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that create the access policy without approval (there is a check box). If you do this the approvals would never be invoked even if you assign a group manually to the user coz it suppresses all the approvals in this access policy.
IT Roles : These would be linked to the resource and you can define individual approvals on the resources as required.These approvals would be required if someone raises a request for these resources individually.

OIM 11g - Authorization Policy

Hi,
I am facing issue in OIM 11g Authorization policy configuration. I am using OIM 11.1.1.5 Version.
I have Created a OU --> Sample Helpdesk OU. Under this OU, i have created a user --> Sample Helpdesk user.
I have created a role --> Sample Helpdesk Role and assigned this role to the user --> Sample Helpdesk user.
I have created a Auth Policy --> "HelpDesk Create User - HelpDesk OU" which has to allow the user --> Sample Helpdesk user, to create a new users under the organization "Sample Helpdesk OU".
During creation of User in OIM, i am not able to search the Organization in the lookup field. I am getting Zero records for the search. I used all type of filters to search the OU in the OIM User Form.

UCCE 7.2 Missing Skill Groups in Supervisor Work Flow Setup

Hi, one of our customers reported that when they try to configure a Work Flow for their supervisors in Supervisor Desktop, there are Skill Groups missing from the Available Skill Group List.
I've tried to figure out what might cause this, and the only thing I've found that is different between the visible Skill Groups and the missing ones is that in Desktop Administrator => Personnel Configuration => Teams I can see that the missing Skill Groups don't have any Skills listed in Selected Skills under the Skills tab.
I've tried to find out where in ICM I can add the Skills, as the documentation says it's configured there, but I haven't had any luck so far.
Anyone have any helpful tips please?

From the problem description I understand that you are seeing "available Skill groups" empty while trying to add a new work flow through CSD.
This is a known defect with 5.x version which has not been fixed yet

Work Flow Notification Mailers Down

Hi,
I my OAM Dashboard I see that Work Flow Notification Mailers service is always down.
I ask the functional people if they need the Work Flow Notification Mailer. They said they do not need it.
Is it OK if the let it inactive? or It is mandatory that as DBA I should set it up even if the functional consultant
does not need it.

If you are using the standard workflow, with a 1 against teh Release codes, then you do not have to worry abt role resolution, else you might have to
You will need to activate workflow first to begin with,
SWU3 is the first tcode, you'd visit.. Make sure you maintain the Prefix number ranges, if there ain't any and check the number ranges..under Maintain Definition Environment
Go to SWETYPV and activate the linkages for BUS2012- PO for release step created.
Go to SWDD, and choose Workflow template ws20000075, unless you want to make any custome chnages to the template.
hot CTRL+F8, under start events activate BUS2012, RELEASESTEPCREATED. that would set the start event.
This would send a workitem email to users when it is their turn to approve
If this has been configured,
You need to activate security roles and assign users to each role for M_EINK_FRG for a combination of Release code and Release Group..
That should take you through ME29N

Using web services in Approval Work flow in OIM 11g

Hi All,
I am a new bie to OIM 11g. I have created an approval work flow and it is working fine.
Now my requirement is to use a web service in the approval work flow instead of directly embeding the java code in Java Embeding Activity. Can some body share me a document or url for the process of doing it.

page 23-3 of Developer's Guide (OIM 11g) provides information regarding configuration of the SoD for Direct provisioning of the resources. How to configure SoD so that it works for direct provisioning of the roles?

I did not find the documentation regarding this. But I hoped I will.
In my project we assign roles directlly, not resources.
I suspect the integration with Role Manager is required in this case. SoD module in OIA should be used then.
