OIM- event recieved -insert failed

I've created custom field (attribute1) in OID,and added it to a custom auxilliary obj class. i"ve added this obj class to cn=Users.
now i am trying to reconcile this newly created field in OIM.
steps followed are:
Add the new attribute on the Users process form,
Add the new attribute to the list of reconciliation fields in the resource object (xellerate users),
Create a reconciliation field mapping for the new attribute in the process definition ,
Create an entry for the attribute in the lookup definition for reconciliation.
when i run OID user recon event, the event is recieved, but it gives following error on prompt

Hi. I had a problem exactly like you.
Your problem is for the following statement:
select ... into ... from dual
Here you are performing a select and then
in your stored function you want to perform
an insert. Oracle can not do such a thing.
So you should convert your stored function
to a stored procedure with an out parameter.

According to your description, you might want to create an Event Receiver for a specific list.
What we need to do is to replace the property "ListTemplateId" with "ListUrl" and specify the relative URL of list in it.
For list:

Event ID 207 Failed to generate publishing metadata

Hello All,
On the publishing server, I see this error (Event ID 207) - Failed to generate publishing metadata. Reason: The underlying provider failed to Open. Not sure what to look for and how to fix the issue.
I am able to add packages within the Management Server and when, I refresh publishing server the package ID shows up. On the client side the package is available.
I just want to fix the error, if it is possible and get rid of this event ID 207 from the event viewer.

Are the publishing and management service on the same machine? Sounds like a WCF-related error.

OIM Domain on Weblogic Failed to Start

I was able to install WebLogic, Oracle Database and OIM.
Before installing OIM, I was able to start the domain I created on WebLogic at:
Start -> All Programs -> Oracle WebLogic -> User Projects -> oim_domain -> Start Admin Server for Weblogic Server Domain
where oim_domain is the name of the domain I have created.
However after I finished installing OIM, the same domain failed to start.
There is a security service runtime exception and the wls does not start

start weblogic admin console with script xlStartWLS.bat which is created in directory "bea_home\user_projects\domains\oim_domain\bin"
That should start your weblogic admin console correctly.

Hashtable insert failed. Load factor too high : Dot net 4.5

I'm getting an exception “System.InvalidOperationException: Hashtable insert failed. Load factor too high.”
My application is developed in VS2010 with 4.0 framework and it is working fine in our development environment (4.0 version ) (for 4.0 framework I'm able to find the hotfix and I've installed it in my development environment). In production environment
framework is upgraded to 4.5 version and we often getting the mentioned exception.
Application developed : windws 7 - 32 bit OS / vb.net 4.0
Development environment (hotfix installed) : windows server 2008 - 64 bit / dotnet FW 4.0
Prod Environment : windows server 2008 - 64 bit / dotnet FW 4.5
Kindly help me resolving this issue.

OIM Middle tier upgrade - Failed at OIMUpgrade.bat

I am currently upgrading OIM 11g R1(11.1.1.7.0) to 11g R2 (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/doc.1112/e28183/oim_up.htm#BABCHFGD) in windows 64 bit environment. I have successfully upgraded my Middleware Home(OIM_HOME) using 11g R2 installer. I have also upgraded the schema (OIM to 11.1.2.0 and MDS to 11.1.1.7.0) using Patch Set Assistant. When I am trying to upgrade Middle tier using OIMUpgrade.bat , I am getting following error,
Checking status of OIM MDS Schema
Checking verison of OIM MDS Schema
OIM MT Upgrade Prerequisite Failed .Either of OIM or MDS Schema is not Upgraded
Please execute PSA Prior to running MT-Upgrade
So, I checked the version in schema_version_registry table, everything seems to be fine as the prerequisites are met.

Yes , I have done all the prerequisites. But while upgrading schema using PSA, when i selected the Identity component, OIM schema upgrade prerequisite status failed with following error,

I am facing problem with inserting values into table.I am using Weblogic 8.1 sever with Oracle at backend.I have written 2 JSP's one is simple registeration form containing 48 values filled by the user.After filling values ,on click of Save button my second jsp comes up with JDBC connection & PreparedStatement.But, my SQL insert fails due to not connected with DB.I am putting some code of JSP,Plz,go through it & help me.

Assuming that that is a proper URL, for your weblogic connection pool, your problem is not in this code. It's either in the place you set up the connection pool, the network (your program can't connect to the database), or the database itself (not running, for example).

DBAdapter insert failing in Fusion Middleware SOA Suite 11g

I am trying a simple example of inserting into database using DBAdapter. Here is the log message and am unable to figure out the problem it says log at DBAdapter logs can someone tell me where does DBAdapter logs exists. I tried the select and it works fine some how insert is failing.

I am trying add a new field to an existing table in MSSQL and access it in portlets,
I added the new field in the table, and making necessary updations to the accessing java code seems to look fine. but when i insert the new rwo, fails with exception listed below.
My code tidbits is as follows.

I haven't ever used that method of inserting rows, but from the example in the API documentation it looks to me like you have to callaResultSet.moveToInsertRow();before you callaResultSet.insertRow();Or are you just "inserting" the physician's name into existing rows of the database? If that's what you are doing then you need to callaResultSet.updateRow();Message was edited by:

Event reciever to multiple lists

hi!
i have site collection with some sites inside. in every site i have a document library which called:"site_documents".
i want to add an event reciever that will work after an item added to the lists.
does anyone thinks i can do such thing, or i will have to wtire many event recievers- for each list?
i saw aome solutions but they releate to custom litsts or content type, which i dont use.
my lists are document library with the same name for all.

Hi Shira Co,
A good way of achieving this would be to:
1. Create a content type (based on the document content type) and list definitinon
2. Create an event handler that attaches to all lists that use your content type (based on the content type id)
3. Deploy the feature at the site level.
Do this would ensure that where ever you create a document library based on your list definition, the event receiver will be attached.

the qn is " I am trying to insert into a table say tab1. i want to write a trigger which will audit the date and time of insert . I want the audit table to be populated even if the insert fails ".
Is there an option to do so ..

OIM 11g setXellerate password fails with weird message on massive usage

Hi,
i have set up trusted reconciliation from a database table with OIM 11g (11.1.1.3). Now, the default password is the concatenation of two other fields and i have built an adapter that uses the setXelleratePassword method to set the OIM user password an attached it to the xellerate reconciliation insert event. Now, when running the reconciliation, the password is correctly set only for the first 10 users or so, after which i get this error for every following event.

the error is quite generic, and does happen only when there is a "massive" reconciliation run. I thought about the open file limit and the connection pool max values, but in the logs there are no errors related

Have you tried to change the reconciliation batch size to 1 or something?
I had something similar with just one account getting updated by my post-process hanndler.
Anyway how did you attach your adapter to the reconciliation insert event? I have been trying to do this but the list that comes back does include the adapter i have created when i tried to select and adapter to run.
Please guide how you did on design console or gui.

OIM Database Applications Table fails to connect via GTC - Weblogic, Linux

Environment:
OIM - 9100 (public download)
Red Hat Linux
XLADM Oracle 10g
Weblogic 8.1 SP6 - no cluster
I have installed the Database Application Connector and am trying to configure it via the Generic Technology Connector, but it keeps failing to connect. I know those parameters are correct and have validated via sqlplus \ SQLDeveloper. Also its the exact same database (not SID) that is hosting XLADM as well, so I know it can find the machine and such. I had another previous OIM on JBoss install locally on my Windows workstation that worked fine too. I can see in the log that the DBProvisioningTransportProvider is getting the props fine and then blows up when trying to connect. I have tried even updating the ojdb14.jar drivers in XELLERATE_HOME/ext and that doesn't matter. I'm sure it's something simple, environment related, or a bug. Any help is appreciated.

"Refresh after" insert fails for DB-View with INSTEAD OF Triggers

Hi,
I have a database view with INSTEAD OF triggers defined for INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE.
For some EO attributes the refresh after insert and update is defined.
Posting to database fails.
According to Database 9.2 Manual and a previous thread (BC4J and Updatable Views the RETURNING clause is not allowed for database views with INSTEAD OF triggers.
Is there a workaround so the refresh after is done, but without the RETURNING feature?
I only need to refresh some values. The PK i can set in the create method of the EO so refresh via a additional SELECT would be possible.
If not Feature Request:
Add the possibility to do the "refresh after ..." with a 2nd SELECT using the PK instead of using the RETURNING clause.
Of course then it is not possible to set the PK in the database trigger. PK has to be set in the create method of the EO.

Hi Markus,
Turning on the stack trace (-Djbo.debugout put=Console - in the Project/runner) did help and I should have done it sooner. Turns out that when I constructed my EO based upon a database view - I should have left out the PKs of the base tables.
In my case, I am using an "Instead Of Trigger" to populate a multi-table arrangement (parent - child - grandChild - greatGrandChild relationship) where all base tables are using dbSequence/dbTriggers.
Final analysis - I would like to see BC4J handle this situation. I do not want to use View-Links and I should * not * have to resort to stored procedures and BC4J/doDML. If I construct a DB View this is participating in an parent - child - grandChild - greatGrandChild relationship that are using dbSequence/dbTriggers, then BC4J should be smart enough to construct VO knowing that I want to do insert, update, delete, selects - based upon this structure.
