OIM LDAPSync not working

Hi all,
I've installed OIM 11.1.1.5.0 with LDAPSync enabled. When I create a user using the OIM Admin console the user is created in OID. However, when I create a user in OID, the user does not get reconciled into OIM. I've manually run the "LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation" task. Am I missing something? When configuring OIM, all I did was to tick the "Enable LDAP Sync" check box and enter values relevant to my OID installation. Do I need to do anything else? Any suggestions would be much appreciated....

I've noticed some strange behavior when a user is created in OID and reconciled to OIM:
1. I create a user (e.g. Dummy User) in OID with a default password (e.g. passW0rd)
2. The user is reconciled into OIM and an email is generated with the following content:
An account has been created for you with the following details. You will be required to change your password on next login.
UserID: DUMMY USER
Password: Dg6zhsyn
3. When logging into OIM with the above credentials, I am redirected to the Password Management page where I need to provide a new password and register challenge questions for the account.
4. After completing the form and entering Dg6zhsyn into the "Old Password" field, I get the error "The password change operation failed while validating old password." after clicking submit.
5. After completing the form and entering passW0rd into the "Old Password" field, I can submit the form successfully and log into OIM.
I am confused. Any suggestions?

Role membership rule not working

Hi guys,
When I create a role and assign 'membership rule' to it, the members are shown in preview screen.
But they are not show up in members screen of that role.
My environment is 11gR2 SP1.
It is working nicely in 11gR2 base. But from some bundle pack and after, it is not working.
1. is it right?
2. if then, why is it changed?
3. and how shoul I assign members to role?
(as a workaround I modified the memner arrtibute. => not working
and restart OIM, => still not working
and reboot the server.> still not working...)
can anyone help this?

It has been a critical issue in real customer project this year.
Certainly we informed it to local oracle team and they says it is intentional change and we have to accept it.
(means create role first and read in users by trusted recon from source again.. bra bra..)
But I do not get any documented information about it.
Actually in BP4 (may be..) if I change any attribute value of that user who supposed to belongs to that role, then it works.
But in BP7 and now in PS1, even that approach do not working.

Logout does not work in OIM after enabling OAM SSO

We have installed a webgate to protect xlWebApp in OIM. Once the SSO is enabled, the logout does not work in the OIM user interface. How to solve this issue?
Metalink has a solution where we need to add document.location="http://host:port/access/oblix/lang/en-us/logout.html"; in xlWebApp\tiles\tjspLogoffTiles.jsp. This is the logout URL of OAM. Is there any other way so we can have a logout page in the OIM application/server itself?

I did what you suggested and initially it looked like it is working but there is slight issue. When I click Logout, it redirects to the logout screen. After logging out when I try to access xlWebApp it prompts for the login (i am using basic authentication). If I cancel it and again try to access xlWebApp, it lets me in without any prompt. This issue is in IE only but not in Firefox. Not sure what's the issue.
Btw, to make the logout screen work, I had to unprotect the following with None Authentication:
- /xlWebApp/pages/logout.html (logout page)
- /xlWebApp/images
- /xlWebApp/css/Xellerate.css
- /xlWebApp/css/style.css

Self Registration and Attestation is not working in OIM 9.1.0.4

Hi,
i have setup a new OIM environment using OC4J. I am able to create users and provision IT resource but self registration and attestation is not working. not sure it is OC4J issue or OIM issue. For self registration it says request is submitted but when I login as xelsysadm and dlon't see any pending request and same thing happens for attestation. It dowsn't display any error but never gets completed and don't see this also in pending request list. If anybody has idea to debug the issue then let me know and thanks for help.

As per given bug it is looking for jars which is missing
have you install connector using deployment manager?? if yes it copy required jars at target location. verify if not there copy jars in Scheduled Task folder.
Check the document if any external jars required and same put at ThirdParty folder

OIM USR Triggers Not Working

HI OIM Experts,
we are using OIM 10g.
We are facing a issue in OIM like the task that is mapped to lookup.USR.triggers is not working.
Problem Description:
We have around 10 provisioning resources.Each resource has a task "Modify Status".
Whenever the USR_UDF_STATUS field is updated(ENABLED/DISABLED),we are triggering the "Modify Status" task.
I could see the task is getting triggered for 9 resources but for one resource the task is not getting triggeered.
Note:There is no mismatch in spelling or spacing issues.
What could be the possibilities?

Does this modify user process task is same as others?
Can you please verify if Disable manual Insert is unchecked?
Can you see anything from logs that this task is invoked?

OIM-OAM 11g BP 02 integration not working as expected

Hi Experts,
We have OIM 11g and OAM 11g both upgraded to BP02 installed on separate hosts. We are using OID 11g as the directory servers and OVD 11g fronting OID for integration. We followed the steps mentioned in Oracle Document Oracle® Fusion Middleware Integration Guide for Oracle Access Manager 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)Part Number E15740-04 for integration purpose.
After performing all the integration tasks mentioned in the document, while testing the ingtegration, the expected results are not been serverd.
If I access OIM admin console URL, am getting default OIM admin console URl instead of OAM SSO login page for authencation. and also I am unable to login using either xelsysadm\oimadmin\oamadmin but I can login using weblogic, so this is referin to the default embeded LDAP of weblogic for credential validation.
OIM and OAM are deployed on separate hosts, please find the deployment details below.
1. JDK: 1.6.0_29
2. WLS : 10.3.5
3. LDAP: Oracle Internet Directory: 11.1.1.5.0
Oracle Virtual Directory: 11.1.1.2.0
4. Webserver: Oracle HTTP Server fronting the OIM
The Integration videa on Support.oracle assumes that all components OIM\OAM/OID/OHS being on the same host.
I have my OIM and OAM both patched to the latest BP which is BP 02. There is a support article which specifically talks about few settings ton be made for BP 02.
the article ID is 1447494.1.
Even after doing all these, the integration is not working.
As per the support article, I need to use preferred host name for agent fronting OIM as IAMSuiteAgent and if I do that, the proxying of OIM server with the webserver host will not work at all and ends with 404 not found error when I access using http://OHShost:OHSport/oim.
but if i use the name of agent i.e webserver name in the preferred host field, the redirection would happen and i get OAM SSO login page for authentication, however with the credential validation at this page, the OIM login page (http://OIMhost:OIMport/oim) is provided prompting for login again.
also if i access OIM login page http://OIMhost:OIMport/oim directly, the OAM SSO page is not coming for authentication.
I am awaiting your advice\suggestions or workarounds if any one has come across this kind of issue, which i am sure is an obvious case.

OIM Event handler resistered and Imported but not working

I am using OIM 11g in windows 32 bit envoirnment.
I have registered a pre precess event handle and also imported it into oim but it's not working. pls find below details.

OIM after BP12 patch system error and logging not working

Hi,
I am using Weblogic 10.3.2 and need to install OIM. I have installed the 9.1.0.1 and then the patchset to 9.1.0.2. Then I have installed the bundle patch BP07 and everything was ok.
Finally I have installed the BP12: now i am unable to log in the OIM admin panel ( system error ) and i cannot connect with the design console (NullPointerException). The worst part is that OIM does not write a log file anymore, so i can't determine what's wrong. What should i do?

My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

Remedy connector not working with OIM 9.1.0.2

I am using the OIM connector, BMC Remedy User Management 9.0.4.12 with OIM 9.1.0.2 BP18 on Weblogic 10.3.2
I have followed the connecter documentation at "http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11223_01/doc.904/e10422/deploy.htm#BGBIFBHG".
The connecter is installed successfully. The dependency files are placed in the directories as per section 2.3 of the above note. And the Communication between Remedy server and OIM is not SSL.

Process Trigger is not working in OIM 11gR2

Hi Experts,
The Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS is not working. Assigned some process task on user attribute changes but it is not working as of now. Earlier it was working fine. Even I am not able to update the existing lookup value in Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS as we are getting below errror:
The security level for this data item indicates that it cannot be updated.
We are not able to figure out what is the issue behind this. might be some sandbox issue or some database value problem.
Please provide me pointer to solve my problem.

If it is 1, make it 0 and try again. No need to change it for OOTB tasks/rows.

LDAP Sync is not working on custom attributes

Gurus,
I have installed and configured OIM 11g release 2. While configuring OIM, i have enabled ldapsync to OID.
Created a custom attribute in OID and also on OIM. But when I change this attribute in OIM, that change is not going to OID and vice versa. There are not errors in the logs.
Please throw some light on this.

While creating a custom attribute in oim, you will give label, name right..At the same time there will be an option to provide ldap attribute name. You need to provide the name of the attribute that you created in OID here. Then only ldap sync will work on custom attributes. without specifying ldap attribute name, ldap sync wiill not work.
Give a try and post your results here.

Auto provisioning for AD is not working in oim11gr2

I have current environment as OIM 11.1.2.0.7 and AD connector MSFT_AD_Base_11.1.1.5.0 with patch applied 14190610 and Connector_Server_111200
I configured an auto provisioning to AD
I created an access policy based on a role MSAD Users.
i am expecting when i assign this role user should provisioned to AD automatically but it is not done. I also ran the Evaluate User policies scheduler which in enable state.
i provisioned user manualy and its working fine. also i checked access policy with another target application R12 application it is also working fine.
but i dont y it not working for AD . I filled all required fields in process form lyk organisation and AD Server.
I ran in to same issue in DEV at that time i applied BP07 to oim and 14190610 patch to AD connector, after that it was worked
Now my UAT is in same environment still it is not working
Please suggest me some solution

Pre populate adapter in OIM 11gr2 not triggered in database

Folowing is the steps for creation of pre populated adapter in OIM
** we have created one form in OIM which is provisioned to Database**
Steps
· Installed GTC connector for Database Web App 9.*
· Created new user and Table in Database
· Created IT resource for Database
· Created Sandbox, App Instance and Form, published sandbox
· Started catalog synchronization job scheduler
· Created user and and request account to app instance.

Now we have done with all the steps and now we have created one User submit the user
we have click on request acounts ---> search the catalog and select the application instance (select the app instance "database provisioning") ---> add to cart ---> and check out ---> fill the form leaving email field --> ready to submit ---> submit
now we have check this user in database but still pre populated fields are not reflected. since this not working so we have found the other three links

Email notification not working

I have an OIM (11g) Solution where I can provision many resources (Solaris, AD, iPlanet, My SQl, Custom Resource Adapter, JNDI Adapter, etc) through roles.
Now I want to send Email notifications to users I've just created and their managers too.
I already have configured my Email Template, the Email Server Resource and the configuration in Notification Tab of the Process definition.
I have two problems: the First one is that I cannot add my email template in Notification Tab of Process Definition because only can view one template: *"Task Status Email Notification"*. I don't know if this is due a OIM bug or do I need to configure something else in templates?
The second issue is that OIM have not a Testing Module to test Configuration Resource and I don't know if OIM can connect to my Mail Server (Sun Convergence). In this configuration I only set the IP Address from my mail server. I already executed some tests via Telnet from my OIM Server to my Mail Server and I can send mail successfully. My mail server does not need authentication. thus I put the Authentication value to false.
Anybody has been faced with this issues?

My templates are of type "provisioning related" and I set them to my resource type (SSH).
When I open the Process Definition for my SSH Resource and I go to Notification Tab does not show nothing related to my Email Templates. It only shows one template (Task Status Email Notification)
I've already implemented a solution through javax.mail to send custom Emails. I only attach it to my process task after create/delete/update users in OIM.
When I worked with Sun IDM (now Oracle Waveset) this stuff were too easy to implement. What a mess!
