How do you go about writing the code to change the font size in my program my cluster in High school is computer programming and i haven't begun to learn Java at school yet so i am now learning by myself at home but i have a 80 year old book and i need to really get this done all i am asking is for a little help i just got the school book today and i have learned alot so far but this is different to me please i will paste the code and if you could just insert to change the font to a bigger size that would be amazing its just i can't find anything about it on here or on the web

well the 80 year old textbook thing is called exageration i have a book called Java Programming Comprehensive Concepts and Techniques and actually what i am doing i didnt figure to be so difficult i mean i do deserve to graduate i put up with school for this long unlike alot of people who drop out but how can you say i dont deserve it over something this small i wasn't for someone to write me a program all i am asking for is a line of code to help me better understand java all i am doing is taking code that is already written and learning from it i am a hands on learner i can't read a text book and do it all i am asking is just a simple question on some ways to change the font size when i run the applet all this is is making a cover page for me and i am going to print out the code that i wrote on the back to get some extra points and excel in my class and make it so that when i apply for colleges and scholarships it looks good that is all and i never would have expected something like this from something this small i mean seriously its just a line of code that i am haveing trouble with and would just like some help i have tried looking over the interenat and if you could recommend some really good places to go and read up and do hands on tutorials that cover everything not just the basics then i would be more than happy to do it its just i can't find it so i fugured i would go to the forums and post a little topic that is all i have already written the code for my other pages and all i need to do now is just be able to change the font so it looks better.

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Hi..I have an AirPort Extreme base connected to my DSL Modem and has been working fine. But I recently bought another DSL modem along with the latest Airport Express. With this one however I can't get it to connect to the Internet. The light on the Express is flashing green though. Does it mean I have to re-set the settings on Airport Utility? I.e. the old settings haven't been cleared yet. Any suggestions?

You have an Airport Extreme base station that is set to "Create a wireless network" and you have the box checked for "allow this network to be extended"....
Then you have an Airport Express that is set to "Extend a wireless network" which you selected the name of your network in the box...

How can I sort photos within an event? When I follow the Help instructions, I can sort manually in Photo format, but when I return to Event format, the original order is restored.
Events are organisation for those who can't really be bothered. They are automatic - based entirely on Date and Time the camera records the photos as taken.
You can move photos between Events, you can Merge Events, you can Rename them and sort them in various ways except one: You cannot manually sort in an Event as Events are all automated.
If you want to manually sort in an Event then you've outgrown Events as an organising tool. Now it's time to look at albums (Where you can manually sort) which are much more flexible than Events as an organising tool. -

If you are entering an Apple ID in Settings>iCloud which has not yet been used to create an iCloud account then the phone will attempt create a new account.
However the maximum number of iCloud accounts that any one device can create is limited to three - this is tied to the hardware and can't be bypassed. If you've already somehow created three iCloud accounts then you would have to create a new one on another Mac ior iOS device, and then you could sign into it on this phone. -

I want to be able to save texts to a file or folder seperate from the rest of my texts. This is so I can foward them onto someone else at a later time.
I have always had this facility on my previous phones e.g. blackberry but can't seem to find a way with my Iphone.No such option is available with the iPhone.
A text can be forwarded, but texts are saved in conversation format by contact/phone number.
Texts are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. There are a number of 3rd party utilities that provide for extracting select data from your iPhone's backup for access on your computer - viewing/archiving/printing, etc.

when I "share a link" (URL) using the pulldown menu in Safari, the email goes to all addresses I indicate, but only Apple computers receive the link. Others such as PCs and Blackberries get the message, but the field which should have the link is blank. Is this normal? Why can I only send to Apple machines?
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
I had my iPad 2 replaced by Applestore today. On the new iPad I tried to restore from iCloud backup point but was told I was unable to do this as the new iPad needed to have the latest running system iOS 7 loaded. Is there a way I can do this so I can get my iCloud backup or do I need to go back to Applestore and get an iPad preloaded with iOS 7?
If you feel comfortable you can do the Update to iOS 7 yourself and after you have successfully done that... then Restore your iCloud Back Up.
If you are not comfortable in doing it yourself... Then go back to the Apple Store and get them to do it.
They will be Happy to assist you. -

You can upgrade to Mavericks free, just run the App Store program and search for Mavericks. But before you do upgrade I recommend the following:
1) make sure you have a recent backup. TimeMachine is fine.
2) Mavericks is somewhat more memory hungry than 10.7 was. You will need 4 GB of RAM and I strongly recommend 8 GB.
Go back to the Apple menu and select About this Mac - look under the OS info you just looked at. You'll see how much RAM your computer has now. Then click on the More Info button. There you will see your computer info listed as in: iMac, 21.5" mid 2010, for example. Return back with that information and we can tell you how far the computer can be upgraded.
If you decide to procede and you have enough RAM upgrading to Mavericks is quite simple. Click on the download button and let it do its job. -

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
