OLE Issue with MS-WORD

hi,
I am using OLE to integrate SAP and MS-WORD to achieve a requirement. In the requirement i am supposed to create a table in MS-WORD however i am able to create a table however when i am trying the second table its creating in the first table itself in the 1st row and 1st col as the cursor is not moving out of the table so the second table is creating in the first table itself. I am using VB commands after some learning i have come up with this command in VB however i am not sure how to write the equivalent command in SAP i am writing the code below let me know how to write in SAP ?
Selection.MoveRight unit:=wdCell    ' move to first row second column
Selection.MoveRight unit:=wdCell    ' move to second row first column
Selection.MoveRight unit:=wdCell    ' move to second row second column
Selection.MoveEnd unit:=wdLine, Count:=1    'select whole second row second column cell
    Selection.MoveDown unit:=wdLine, Count:=1   'MOVE DOWN
This code gets the cursor out of table with 2 rows and 2 columns and out of the table.
Thank you

Can you please write how you solved the problem so others can benefit from it?

This laptop has original Microsoft word & excel provided by Mac when purchased and is legal copy.
Do I understand you bought a Mac and it came with Microsoft Office?    I could be wrong, but I wasn't aware that was an option.  Or am I not parsing that sentence correctly and you bought a Mac and bought a legal copy of Office to install on it?  In which case, never mind.

  • Linked Ole Object with MS Word has bad resloution / invalid fonts

    Post Author: Winfried Boennhoff
    CA Forum: .NET
Environment: .Net 2003 Viewer with external .rpt created by CR XI
As result I get a bad resolution of the word document and the original fonts are not supported, I tried all common fonts. The font used by CR seems to be default font with a very bad resolution.
The same effects not only with MS word, although with an linked PDF or any image. All have a very bad resolution.
Is this a known Problem? Any Idea?

We have the same problem. A page footer generated in Word, embedded in a CR-Report shows in the report viewer with overlapping characters. This is "a known limitation" we were told. Not really a problem, but when exported to PDF, the PDF also shows the overlapping characters and prints with overlapping characters as well. This is our problem! We've tried different fonts, different font- an pagesizes in Word, the "can grow" checkbox etc. We believe, the result is affected by the printer driver but cannot really find a way, to avoid the problem and get a clear print at all of our customers.Anyone figured out how to solve the problem? CA Support unfortunatly couldn't help   We are using CR Merge Moduls XI R2 in our Report Viewer, Word 2003, Problem appears on local machines as well as on Citrix.

  • Issues with importing word docs into robohelp 10

I currently have an issue when I try to import a 'saved as: 97-2003' or 'MS Word' doc or docx into Robohelp 10, I receive the following error:
Any assistance with this would be appreciated.
In the meantime I've been converting everything from a doc/docx format to a pdf and then importing.
However, it would be nice to know why I can't perform the task as I have shared
    PS...
With regards to the error statement: "Please install Microsoft Word 2000 or newer"? I have Microsoft Office 2013 installed (and not the student or home version). "I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed", so to speak but I would think that Word 2013 would pacify the requirement of MS Word 2000 or newer...?
    Thanks.

The message is wrong in terms of the version specified. It is correct though that you do not have a supported version as Word 2013 is not supported.
Subject to licencing, you can have both 2010 and 2013 installed, then run 2010 before doing anything where Rh needs to talk to Word.

  • Issues with Microsoft Word for mac closing when I try to open old or newly downloaded documents

When I download a document from my professor, or try to open an older document, my word automatically quits. If it's already closed and I try to open a document, it will show the dot at the bottom of the icon that it's loading to open but it quickly disappears and quits itself. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

  • Pages from iPad - Export issues with pdf, word

issues when exporting documents out of Pages from iPad using pdf, and getting... "Cannot extract the embedded font 'VZEENN+Georgia-Bold'. Some characters may not display or print correctly". I have 10.5.8 and Adobe latest version 9.4... I have also tried different and more universal fonts on Pages like Arial or Helvetica with no success... Really frustrating to have so critical bugs. Any work arounds from anyone? Thanks!

Yes, you can send the file as an email attachment to yourself and open it on a computer and print.
You can use DropBox to place the files on the computer to print
These are easiest if the file is saved (exported) as a PDF file so it is portable.
You can also use an AirPrint enabled printer and print directly from the iPad without going through the computer.  But buying another printer is much more expensive than the cost ($20) of Pages for the MBP.
If you already have a wireless printer, you can try the website for the manufacturer and see if there is an upgrade for the printer to enable it for AirPrint.

  • Issue with opening Word

Ever since I downloaded Mozilla Firefox I've been having trouble getting Word to open--both as a new document and as an already saved one. The color wheel spins and spins and I can hear a clicking noise inside my tower. Eventually Word does open and all is well as long as I don't quit. Once I quit, then the problem reoccurs. I don't know if this is related to the Firefox browser or is just a coincidence.

    Hi.
    Try moving to the Desktop:
    Users/youruseraccount/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.browserfont.cache
    Users/youruseraccount/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.netlib.crls
Clear the System Font cache with MainMenu, Onyx, or another utility, or Restart in Safe Mode (hold Shift during startup. It may take a little longer), and then restart as usual.
    Good Luck.

  • Printing issue with microsoft word and excel

I open Microsoft 2004 Word and Excel separately and clicked on File / Open....not responding and so force quite. I went to Finder and opened the file directly and It did. But when I clicked Print, the print page doesn't show up. I closed the file. I opened other softwares and tried the Print and Save as PDF and it worked. I booted several times and reinstaled the Microsoft 2004 from original disk and did updates up to 11.6.3 versions. I rebooted again and still the same problem. Please help !

If you applied the Security Update from a few days ago it sounds like you are affected with this problem:

  • I have Snow Leopard 10.6 and I am having issues with M/S Word 2004 and G-mail. I can only open docs sent to me in g-mail on google doc?

Is there a compatability issue with Microsoft Word 2004 and Snow Leopard or is it G-Mail? I am using Safari with a G-mail account.

Will upgrading to 2011 correct my issue that I can not open a pdf or word doc in G-mail or could it be a g-mail setting? I can open these docs outside of G-mail, but I am also having issues sending them without the docs becoming slightly modified enroute.

  • I had Acrobat XI Pro Trial installed on W8.1, and I had to uninstall it because issues with MS Office 2010. Now I try to reinstall Acrobat and It does not allow me to use the trial version anymore even it was not over. What to do??

Well, I had installed in my new computer a trial version from Acrobat XI Pro, but I had issues with Microsoft Word 2010, since it did not allow me to save changes on my file. I uninstalled it from my computer before the trial period was over, and then, after I solved the issue with Office, I wanted to get it back for a time, but the installer does not allow me to choose Trial Version. I can reach that screen where you choose between key and trial, but once I press trial and click on next, it does absolutely nothing at all.
I have tried to manually delete folders, and I even used CC Clean to make a registry set up, but nothing out of that is working for me at all, and it keeps happening. I have no really idea what to do, and I kinda need to use Acrobat immediately for a file.

The trial can only be loaded 1 time as far as I know. You could try http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder, and reboot. Then try an install again, but my guess is you will have to purchase Acrobat at this point.

  • Interfacing with Microsoft Word

Issues with taking Word to FrameMaker, FrameMaker to Word, and troubles with the Word and RTF import/export filters abound.

    Interfacing with MS Word
Don't bother round-tripping from FrameMaker to Word unless you absolutely have to do it.
Checkout this valuable resource. Thanks, Tim Murray:
    http://www.techknowledgecorp.com/public/word2frame.pdf.
FrameMaker does not work like Word. The two products have some features that overlap, agreed, but each has its own unique way of conducting itself.
If you go between FrameMaker to Word often, consider a third-party filter. Mif2Go (
    http://www.omsys.com) and Filtrix (
http://www.blueberry.com) are two that others have praised. I have not used either.
If problems between MS Word and FrameMaker persist, consider removing all graphics before conversion. Reimport them later by reference.
Consider converting tables in Word to tab-delimited text before importing them into FrameMaker. Convert them back to a table after the import.
Consider getting rid of headers, footers, table of contents, and index, from Word before importing into FrameMaker--although the TOC and index might come in fine if the planets are aligned in your favor.
The FrameMaker MS Word and RTF import filters take a looooong time. This time gets especially long if you have some complexities in the source file. Often, Windows inaccurately reports the program as "not responding" when, in fact, the import is still on going. Give the filter a chance, an hour or so. Make a five-course lunch or otherwise occupy yourself, just to give the import filter a chance.

  • Ive got CS6 and it has issues with ariel font

since getting CS6 ive had issue with typing words. i found out PHS dosent like the ariel font so removed this from my libarys. font book and PHS. did the crash report and everything the blogs said to do to remove a font but my layouts keep jumping when i type, the type weither its times, apple chancey etc changes to symbols and ^:" . jumps the layout from big to small and is really annoying . help please. im running 10.6.8 on an Imac.. i used ariel for everything and have had to change to myrad pro but this makes no diffence..what can i do to fix a courpted font that dosent exist in my computer?

I've just done a restore (it asked if i wanted to restore with the back up so I said yes) but it is exactly the same.  The 'slide to unlock' doesnt slide.  It was working perfectly earlier today!  Do you think a system restore without the backup would make any difference?
Thanks for your help, it is very much appreciated.

  • I have an issue with some PDF documents   some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying on iPhones, iPad 2s

    Hi,
I have an issue with some PDF documents & some MS Office documents, notably MS Word when received in eMail as attachments not displaying properly on iPhones, iPad 2s & new iPads?
PDF docs - areas of the doc only show as grey splotches regardles of viewer
    MS Word Docs -
inserted graphics don't display at all,
tables & lists especially with borders are broken &
tables & lists missing the borders &
tables & lists missing the 1st 1-2 lines of the lists/tables.
This is replicated on iPhone 4s, iPhone 4Ss, iPad 2s, iPad new (x2)
It certainly happens in iOS 5.1.1 & iOS 5.1
We believe it all worked aok in iOS 5.0.1(?) & prior
There is no problems reading/seeing these PDF & Word docs on anything other than iDevices.
This is rather critical for us & if not quickly fixed/rectified will prevent us from further purchases of these devices
Rolling back to iOS 5.0.1 or prior I believe isn't possible because of the BaseBand update(?) & isn't much of an option because of the quite noticeable Battery/Charging/WiFi improvements in 5.1 & 5.1.1

    Hi,
I logged a call with AppleCare & have since had explained why this occurs (some time ago)
I'll try to explain what was indicated to me.
iOS has a limited Font Set & this affects what PDFs can display. You need to use iOS supported fonts in your PDFs to see/read them properly
These supported fonts are indicated here => http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4980
Regards MS office docs, iOS doesn't have much of an API to work with MS Office documents at all so is stuck with 3rd Party Apps to try to do it.
Unfortunately Mail in/on iOS uses the API to attempt to open/use MS Office attachments unless you tell it to use an App to open the attachment.
I have had success opening & reading MS office docs now with CloudOn, but find it slow & very awkward to use.
Not too sure if this helps others, but at least it explains why this is occurring

  • Unique issue with PDF to WORD .doc conversion with Acrobat Pro - any ideas?

I have been unable to solve the following issue when converting (save as...) PDF documents to Microsoft Word .doc using numerous methods. This could either be an issue that would be fixed in Acrobat Pro itself, or in MS Word - posting to the Adobe forums first.
PREFACE: I am attempting to use the converted .doc file with translation applications/software. Google Translator Toolkit is what I use the most, but ALL other translators are having this very same issue with the .doc file. --The source PDFs are product information from drug manufacturers in various countries that I need to have translated to English. I do not have access to their source documents, as they do not provide their own source docs for obvious reasons.
ALSO: I cannot use Google Translator toolkit to translate from PDFs directly - if you do that, it will attempt to translate a PDF and then export in an .html file, but it does not get the exact spacing of the sentences correctly, which leads to errors in translating - key things such as "can take with alcohol" and "do not take with alcohol". So that's out!
I am not having any problems with the resultant .doc file in MS Word itself. It looks right, the spacing matches the original PDF source perfectly, prints correctly, etc... Reference here on a product info sheet from Austria in German:
The problem: This is a screenshot from Google Translator Toolkit - the right side of the image - the spacing in the lettering from the .doc file I am uploading is not being read correctly, resulting in untranslated gibberish. (Note: this isn't a problem with the translation applications or software -- all are having this issue with .doc files converted from .pdf - this issue isn't present with any old .doc file that wasn't converted from a .pdf) -- It's definitely got something to do with some kind of embedded data in the .doc file that I cannot isolate!!)
My settings in Adobe Pro (convert from PDF to .doc):
Page layout: Flowing Text (this prevents the resultant .doc from having all of those text boxes, which also don't then work in translators)
    Include comments: True
    Include images: True
    Run OCR if needed: True
    Notes:
-I have run OCR text recognition on the source PDF files in it's specific language.
-I have edited the accessibilty of the PDF and have run the tag recognition and quick checks (to see if they solved the issue, which it did not - tagged or untagged, same problems!)
-I have exported the .doc BACK to PDF using MS Word's function, which results in a great looking tagged PDF. THEN I re-saved this new PDF back as a .doc - same issue.
-I have tried saving the PDF in all of the other formats that the translators accept. All have different issues. The only one that works consistently is saving to a .txt (plain)... The best is a .doc to .doc conversion, with all the original spacing. (I am not spending hours reformatting a .txt translation in word)...
I can't seem to find where this spacing data is in the .doc file!!!! (Changing the fonts, sizes, margins -- doesnt fix this either). I have tried so many methods...
Any thoughts on other things to try in Adobe Pro (or Word)?
EDIT: Here's an additional tidbit of info that may be the key to this... There's some kind of coding that is in the .doc that Adobe Pro converted from the source PDF that doesnt display in Word, but that is being seen by the translation programs....... I have no idea what these are, but I want to remove them!

I would suggest you look at the fonts that are being used. It may be a font issue that is not properly being read by the translation program.
