OMS Configfuration failed with missing cremds-rcu.sql file

Hello,
I'm performing a new install of 11g grid control, but observed the OMS failed. After a deeper dive, I noticed the output below which suggests that the cremds-rcu.sql file is missing from the install package. The error is below:

I think the installation went wrong during the step: MDS Schema Configuration.
1- The file you are missing (cremds-rcu.sql) should be in a filegroup1.jar file located in
<your stage directory>/oms/Disk1/stage/Components/oracle.rcu.mds/11.1.1.2.0/1/DataFiles
If you don't have the mentioned jar file, something went wrong during downloading the OMS zip files or the unzipping went wrong.
Solution: uninstall OMS, download again, unzip and install
2- If you open this jar file you should find 15 files that should have been copied during the installation to the directory /oem/Middleware/oms11g/rcu/integration/mds/sql
If you don't find them here (and you do have the jar file) something went wrong during the installation phase of the OMS software. You may find what went wrong in one of the logs in oraInventory/logs

I am using the scheduler to take backup of the dev database and it was working fine. Then I added notification to the scripts and then the scheduler started failing with the following code .

The user oracle who owns the scheduler already has permissions for the mailx and the same script is able to send notifications when run manully. Do I need to set additional permissions for scheduler ?

when using the SCCM2012 SQL instance on
64 bit server of SQL install proceeds but fails at checking stage and says:

Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions. Setup
cannot continue.
and
Site System to SQL Server communication WARNING SCCM.Domain_Name
A communication error has been detected between the specified site system and the site database computer. This error can occur when the site database server is offline or if a valid SPN has not been registered in Active Directory Domain Services for the SQL
Server instance hosting the site database. Setup cannot continue.
Why does the install of SCCM 2012 with 32 bit SQL proceed further than the install with 64 bit SQL, with the latter process failing as above error meesages show and yet both servers are set identically (apart from temporary turning off Firewall on the 64
bit server) and during the install the Databse Server specified is accepted ?

I can connect via ODBC to the the 32 bit SQL Server and the 64 bit SQL Server from the SCCM Server
The SQL Server Unit called SQL3 unit is a 64 bit SQL.
The SQL Server Unit called SQL is only 32 bit, but at least gets past the final checking stage and the error messages about sysadmin rights and Site System to SQL Server communication problem, and then fails with PKI certificate error message.
When trying to install SCCM specifying the 64 bit SQL Server as the Database Server it gives the 2 error messages at the final checking stage of the installation as listed.
So as I said what is confusing is the fact that if the SCCM install uses the remote 32 bit SQL Server it passes the final checking (although fails with PKI certificate message) but the 64 bit SQL Server set up exactly the same apart from the Firewall being
left off for the time being, fails at the final check stage with the 2 listed errors.
If I use a local 64 bit SQL Server the installation is fine.
Still would like to find out what cause the 2 issues for the remote 64 bit SQL Server, when ODBC seems fine, sysadmin rights have been given for the installer account and the SCCM computer account and SPNs have been set for the user account running the SQL

EAL extract fails with ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel error

We are trying to run an EAL (v11.1.1.4) extract from an HFM (v9.3.1.4) environment onto Oracle database. We are able to run the extract successfully for few hundred records, but when the records exceeds 10 million we get the error below

We checked on the DB and the Oracle session that was doing the insert was open even after the extract failed with the above error.

Query Designer, Execute fails with missing iView (Portal Runtime Error)

Hi,
I have followed all steps to integrate Sap NetWeaver 2004s BI into EP. Checks done so far indicate that all is well between the EP and BI. From within the EP, I can execute the Bex Web Analyser iView and from there I can execute a query on the BI backend. From the BI backend, executing the function module RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST returns the 'BI test service' success message. SSO is working fine as no user/passwords were prompted for. From the trace file, I can see no errors appear but I do see authentication success messages. So far, so good
But, when I execute a query from within the Query Designer, it calls the browser and then errors with the following error:

Looking at the trace file, all it tells me is the same, that this iView is not found.
If I logon to the portal and have a look at the iViews within the 'platform-add-ons/bi' folder, I can see the following 4 iViews:
BEx Broadcaster (com.sap.ip.bi.bexbroadcaster)
BEx Portfolio (com.sap.ip.bi.bexportfolio)
BEx Web Analyser (com.sap.ip.bi.bexwebanalyzer)
My Portfolio (com.sap.ip.bi.myportfolio)
I cannot find the missing iView (com.sap.ip.bi.bex).
Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here is what happened:
1. I have run the deploy and change template again (BIPostInstall). Step 10 failed but I am not too concerned as it does appear that SSO is working both directions. Also, step 13 failed which is the 'Configure Repository Manager'. The error I got here was USER_AUTH_FAILED: User account for logonid "" not found. I am not sure where it is getting the blank userid from.
2. The 'com.sap.ip.bi.business_explorer_showcase' role suggestion looked very promising. I found some doco on it and it does mention this role and when assigned, then you see the Business Explorer tab. I assigned it to all users and to all groups. When I went back into the portal, sure enough, the Business Explorer tab was visible. From within there, I could run query which all worked fine.
BUT, when executing a query from within the BEx Query Designer, I still got the same error:

Do you know if this is an actual iView that should exist in the portal content ? If you have this working, can you see this iView in the portal?
3. I had a look at this note (872043) but I could not get the sap download manager to work to get the zip files attached to the note download. If you have it still, could you email it to me ([email protected]) and I will try that. Did you apply the zip file?
I can't find any further trace information on why this missing iView error is happening. I've amended the severity level on the areas which a SAP note detailed but the only information I get is that a missing iView was called.
Function module RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST still works fine and I can execute a query from the Web BEx Analyser iView.
I just can't execute a query from the BEx query designer due to the missing iView.
I don't know whether it is a communication problem even though SSO both directions seem to work OR whether I do have some content missing from my portal.

Communication Failing with Corrupted Chars . Sql Server 2000 and AS400

I am facing this below error after 9 yrs. sql server 2000 and As400 on prod server. while on dev and stage it's running properly. Here username is ABCD, while it's showing BCD

When we tried on Dev server, linked server through DSN working properly. Last time when it appeared 2 yrs ago, it resolved automatically. but now more than 10 days passed and still Failing.

What does Here ABCD user is also disabling/locking the profile on AS400 server mean? Is ABCD able to log in directly on the AS400 box?
One possibility is that the user ABCD has been dropped or disabled, and then there is a bug in the ODBC driver where the first character of the username is distorted in the error message. I note that there are two spaces between "User" and "BCD".
The other possibility is that the AS400 is receiving a login attempt from BCD (or something that ends in BCD with an invisible leading character). This sounds very difficult to troubleshoot...

What is this gnutils? I tried to set up gnome-utils, but that did not help. The same error also appears on my second comnputer.

I just upgraded it from KDE itself via konsole. The only bad effect I experienced was that the quick launch icons next to the K - menu icon disappeared. I already had upgraded kde to 3.4 and the latest upgrade was to 4.3.1 and did not follow wiki guidelines - except on the other computer. On that the icons stayed - just as described in the wiki.
But about the problem itself: it seems odd to me that all the different repos that are hosting current are not in sync. Arch original repo is a bit slower for me than ftp.nluug.nl.

MB1C LSMW Recording fails with missing Prod Date for Batch Managed Material

An LSMW recording for transaction MB1C that was batch managed was successfully recorded. This included the entry of the Production Date before pressing enter to post the Good Receipts. However, when the transaction was executed, the error came back, "Enter the date of production". In looking at the screen in the lsmw batch results, it shows the date in the production date field.
I also tried to create the recording in the Transaction Recorder (trancode SHDB), and process the recording simulating the background mode and got the same results.
Any ideas why it seems to be ignoring the production date? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Import failing with ORA 3113 end of file on communication channel error

While doing a schema level import on oracle 9.2.0.6 enterprise edition db, i get IMP 00003 with ORA 3113 error.
The import job fails particularly at one point where it tries to create a view with around 7000 lines.
Now I tried to create this view manually by executing the sql statement and get the same error.
As an another exercise when i pick up just a few lines say first 10 or 15 of the view definition, the view gets created in no time.
So, is there any limitation with Oracle as to how many lines a view can hold or buffer space or something.

ORA-3113 is a generic error. The bad news is there are slightly less than a million combination of OS, platform, versions and events that might cause it to happen.
The good news is there should be a message in the alert log whenever this occurs. If you're lucky there may be .TRC file as well (check udump directory as well as bdump). The contents of the file(s) should give you some guidance about what causes it to happen. If you still need help from us you'll need to post some concrete details for us to ponder.

I have thunderbird 24.5.0; I am attempting to install lightning 2.6.5. Fails with "cannot modify the needed file". OS is win 8.1

Support notes talked about unpacking xpi files. All I want to do is install an add-on. I tried "extra all" and it failed. I need very explicit instructions on installing this add-on, please. It should not be this damn hard...

This ''sounds'' like a Windows 8.1 user permissions issue. I've installed Lightning into TB on Windows XP, 7 and various flavours of Linux with no trouble at all. I don't use Windows 8.
Has it asked for permission to make changes to the computer? Have you tried doing this installation with admin privileges? When I do bump into installation issues, and that's any program, not just TB, it's because I'm trying it on the computer at work where the IT department control what mere end-users are allowed to do.

Project explorer fails with vi (folder displayed as file)

Hi LabVIEW folks,
I have a very strang behaviour of the project explorer. (LV 8.5.1f4)
It has a problem with one of my VIs.
I stripped the VI down till it's in fact empty now, but the problem still exists.
(I have several projects, where i use the original file, so my problem multiplies )
When I add this VI to an empty project, one of my folders (Entwicklung) is not displayed as a folder anymore but as a VI (file).
This seems to happen to the fourth folder above the file.
Additionally: if i copy this file to a location with less then 3 folders and try to add it to a project LabVIEW crashes.
If it's in the third folder,the driverletter is displayd as a file.
The software works fine even in application, but this effect leads to the fact, that I'm unable to save my project to a new location !! (Even the recommended method to save to a prior version and select 8.5 as version does not work)
I have to create a source-code-paket for a customer the first time now and am unable to do so.
(I always said they will open pandoras box if they provide sourcecode to a customer, but who cares what my opinion is I'm just a stupid engineer
Would please someone be so kind and try to figure out what is wrong with this VI ?!?
I tried allready and suggest it has to do with it's relative path, but i can't see a possibility to acces it directly.

Well,
if someone could give me an information about what exactly is wrong with this file, it's probably possible to fix this with a little tool.
If this is something very clear, like the VI resource MUID must not be 00 00 25 79 but 00 00 26 80 then i could write a little helper, that searches all VIs, check this setting and fix it for me.
This is not only less work, but i can be sure the VIs will work after I changed them because there is not property I missed.

P.S.: As I mentioned, there are 132 projects on our server, let's say half of them have this problem and they have 4 releases in the middle. 132*4/2=264
Are you willing to copy, paste, setup, ... >250 VIs the way you mentioned? I'm not!
P.P.S.: Please NI developers have a look inside my VI and let me know what's wrong with it.
