Oms2 and po delivery tab setting

Hi All,
First of all, I like to thank sam in answering me on oms2.
I need to clarify on certain issue here.
1) Can I say goods receipt tick box in PO delivery tab is depending on OMS2 setup? If qty in OMS2 is ticked, then by default, PO delivery tab goods receipt box is ticked as well?
2) If value in OMS2 is ticked, then by default, PO delivery tab GR non valuated is no ticked.
3) If qty is ticked in OMS2 then it can be gr based iv ticked or no ticked also can BUT if qty is not ticked in OMS2, then it should not have gr based iv tick. I think this is logic. correct?

for quantity if is ticked in OMS2 then it will update, and value also in same way. but you have to thibk about the logic first that which material should be qty update tick and value update tick while creating the new material type you have keep all these points in consideration. like some companies use stationary as qty update tick but no value update. kindly review your question that by fields tick in PO and OMS2 combination both are different. anyhow hope its clear now.

Hi,
Go to Object Browser and select the Tab set component. Expand the tree and select the tab(say Marketing) and use the arrow key in the bottom left corner of Object browser to move as per your requirement.

Parent Tab Set Problem with 1.6

Hi,
I came across a small issue when trying to add tabs (2 sets) to a non tab enabled application. Here are the steps to reproduce it:
1. Switch page default theme to 2 tab sets (edit theme)
2. Click on tabs link in page editor, takes you to tab manager with 2 add buttons, one on parent and one on tab set.
3. Click add parent (opens create parent tab wizard)
4. Enter Parent Tab Label then click next
5. Error: Tab set or new tab set must be specified.
It seems that the only way to create a parent tab set is through the new application wizard (defaults to main) or through the standard tab set wizard (Tab Parent). Do you think this should also be available through the create parent wizard?
I also had some problems with the automatic naming of the tabs. The wizards seem to be a little inconsistent, sometimes asking for a label (and deriving the name) and other times asking for the name. It gets very confusing when you have tabs and parent tabs named the same, especially with the addition of parent tab set and tab sets. Would it be possible to use a different prefix for the different tab types, e.g.
PTS_XXX (parent tab set)
PT_XXX (parent tab)
TS_XXX (tab set)
T_XXX (tab)
I'm really impressed with this product, but I think the tabs section tripped me up the most (page templates, page attributes, parent tab sets, parent tabs, tab sets, tabs, etc.) and the manual kind of glossed over a lot of it.

Difference between 2 flags of GR in Invoice and Delivery tab of PO

There are 2 flags related to GR in PO.
One is named Goods Receipt, which is in Delivery tab in Item section of PO.
The other is named GR-Bsd IV, which is in Invoice tab in item section of PO.
What is the difference between them?
And one more question. When I create a PO in ME21N, the flag Goods Receipt in Delivery tab is always checked and read-only. Is there any way to uncheck this flag?

Goods confirmation with quantity 0 and final delivery set

Dear SRM Experts,
I would like to share with you the below problem that i asked to be answered from SAP support and would appreciate any solution suggestions for this problem.
The problem I'm facing is relevant for two of my clients: one using SRM 4.0 with ECC 5.0 and the other using SRM 5.0 with ECC 6.0.
I was looking for a note solution concerning goods receipt reappearing in the confirmation screen (BBPCF02) although the confirmed quantity was equal to the ordered quantity and by chance I came up against note 1292032 - Goods confirmation with quantity 0 and final delivery set; that was released after a long list of notes that DID ALLOW the posting of Goods confirmation with quantity 0 and final delivery set.

Applying this note through the note implementation or Support package will ELIMINATE the option for the Goods Recipient (that do not have and will not have a PO change authorization) to indicate in any way that he is not expecting to receive those goods.
Please follow the below example to exemplify this problem:
A PO was created as follow:
Item Product Quantity Price
1 A1 10 10
2 A2 10 12
3 A3 10 14
4 A4 10 16
5 A5 10 18
6 A6 10 20
A first confirmation was created for the following products and quantities:
Item Product Quantity Final Delivery
1 A1 5 X
4 A4 10
5 A5 2
A second and FINAL confirmation was created for the following products and quantities:
Item Product Quantity Final Delivery
2 A2 8 X
3 A3 10
So at the conclusion of the above example:
For items 1; 2; 3; 4 the delivery completed indicator should be set as all expected quantities were delivered, as per items 5 and 6 they will remain open and as of note 1292032 there will be no way that the Goods Recipient can indicate IN THE SYSTEM that he is not expecting any more deliveries (keep in mind that he do not have any PO change authorization), and the PO will remain as opened and will keep appearing in the Confirm Goods / Services transaction.
Sending an e-mail to the purchaser, asking to set the Delivery Completed indicator in the PO is not a feasible option as all process should be backed up by the system and sending e-mails cannot be monitored by the system.

You may have installed a persona.
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Can't grasp the relation between tab set, parent tab, standard tab set and standard tab

Very novice to apex application building, but after trying to figure the concepts behind the tab sets I'm getting more and more confused about it as I always get different behaviour when changing things.
The documentation is not very clear on this.
Is there someone who can explain this in a comprehensive way?
It would be nice to have a view on the consequences of using these different levels of groupings.
Any help will be dearly appreciated ;-)

One level tab application
Tabsets are used to group standard tabs.
Use full when splitting up the application in different sections. Much like how the apex is split up in the application builder, sql workshop, team developend and administration.
Parent tabs aren't used. And a one level tab application can't be turned into a two level tab application.
Two level tab application
Parent tabs belong to only one tabset "main".
The standard tabset is the connection between the parent tab and standerd tab.
There is one standard tabset for every parent tab.
The standard tabset in the two level application has the same function as the tabset in the one level application.
The standard tabset also determines when a parent tab is current.
When on the page the setting Standard Tab Set is set then the parent tab belonging to that standard tabset is current.
This means that if you change a page form one parent tab to an other you not only need to change the tab settings. But also the settings on the page.
If you still in the position to choose between list or tabs as your main form of navigation I would recommend using lists.
The possibilities with the list templates are greater that with tabs.
Tabs have a maximum of two levels. List don't have such a limit.
If you created your application as a one level tab application you can't turn it in a second level application without some serious hacking.
Clicking on a standard tab submits the page and branch after the computations. This could also be viewed as a pro for tabs because with list navigation your page needs to be accessible by url. Did isn't necessary with standard tabs making them more secure. Parent tabs also use an url to navigate.
Only the standard tabs belonging to the current standard tabset are rendered making a drop down menu impossible.

When I set up an App Tab the original tab and the App Tab are both there when Firefox opens next time. I have tried saving the current tabs, etc but that doesn't help.

I had this problem after I installed an update for Java. Firefox also stopped remembering my open tabs from last time. I disabled all of the Java plug-ins, restarted, and it's worked great ever since. Haven't missed Java yet either.

Parent Tab and Standard Tab set

What is the difference between above three - i.e. Parent Tab, Standard Tab set?
I understand Parent Tab is the master level Tab, but not sure what is different between Standard Tab Set and Parent Tab? It seems like interchanging of terminology to me.

How to switch between 2 Parent Tab Sets main and main2

I have the following structure:
Parent-Tab-Set: main
Parent-Tab : Parent 1
Child-Tab : Child 1
Parent-Tab : Parent 2
Child-Tab : Child 2
Parent-Tab-Set: main2
Parent-Tab : Parent 3
Child-Tab : Child 3
Parent-Tab : Parent 4
Child-Tab : Child 4
Now I want to create a new Parent Tab in main, but always creates it in main2
My goal:
Parent-Tab-Set: main
Parent-Tab : Parent 1
Child-Tab : Child 1
Parent-Tab : Parent 2
Child-Tab : Child 2

well what you are saying is obvious to me. This is not the point for me and not what I wanted to know. But I think you answered my question anyway: OS X is unable to switch between windows of the same application as I mentioned in my example.
WHY NOT???
Every other OS is able to differentiate between windows and not just applications.
Another example: The Mail application and an Email editor window. When you are writing an Email and you want to switch to the main window of the Mail application to read something you must again use the mouse!
I mean Apple seems to be "somehow" using FreeBSD in the background and even in FreeBSD's window manager it is possible to switch between windows of the same application.
Well, in the Apple world it is always the pour user who is not intelligent enough to understand Apple's philosophy ;-(
To me this is not modern, it is simply a weakness of the OS.

Goods Receipt Indicator in PO Delivery tab

Hi,
I have created a PO, for which I am trying to do GR, but SAP is not allowing to do GR, on analyzing I found reason for that as Goods receipt indicator was not set in Delivery tab of the PO.
I have chacked the account assignment category (P in this case) in OME9, Goods Receipt indicator is set there and in OMS2 qty/value updation are also ticked.
And this PO is not created manually, it is created through ME59, what might be the reason for this, though the required settings are already made. Please suggest.

I have checked the Network, it is not stock managed.
But there is another PO in which the network is not stock managed but The GR indicator is set for the PO.
I am doing PR conversion through ME59 just against info record not against contract.
Instead of automatically converting PR through ME59/ME59N, if I am trying to do it directly through ME21N, the GR tick is set. But the client will not do this, they will do automatic conversion of PR's only.
Can you please suggest some other possibilities.

Link between PO and Inbound Delivery - Delivery confirmation

Hi Gurus,
I have a question regarding the link of Purchase Order and Inbound delivery completed indicator.
This is my scenario. I had created a purhase order with qty 10, then i created a Inbound delivery with 8 qty then i did GR with reference to inbound delivery. Then looking at the purchase order , the PO is set to Delv. Completed. Looking also in the doc flow of the inbound delivery, the status is "complete".
Now , my question, if i go to VL31N and input the purchase order , i am still able to see the open qty which is "2". Is there is no way that the SAP will prompt me after i input the PO number in the VL31n as " Delivery completed" message or someting related to that. Since , in the PO its already Delv. completed?

Check the toleance limits set in the delivery tab of purchase order. If the quanytity delivered is with in tolerance limits then system will set delivery completed indicator automatically.
Even though delivery completed indicator set you can further post the GR for remaining qty.

PO Delivery tab - Goods Receipt box

If a PO has the Goods Receipt(GR) box checked off under the delivery tab does that mean if an invoice receipt(IR) occurs before the GR that the IR will post but it will have a Payment Block "R" attached to it?

On delivery tab on that indicator press F1 you will get following info
the indicator specifies whether a goods receipt is allowed and expected for the order item.
If the indicator is set, the order item is relevant to inventory management. The indicator is set during the creation of the order if the order is settled in respect of a material or a sales order item.
its measn you want GR for that item or not
Now on invoice tab you will get following indicator
Indicator: GR-Based Invoice Verification
Indicator specifying that provision has been made for goods-receipt-based invoice verification for a purchase order item or invoice item.
Goods receipt indicator and GR-Based Invoice verification are differnt indicator

What are the configuration setting for GR Indicator default in Purchase order. I know OME9 apart from that is there any other way.

Hi,
GR Indicator comes as active by default based on the Item Category and Account Assignment Category.
In case of Standard Item Category w/o Account Assignment Category, GR Indicator comes by dafault and In case of Account Assigned POs, dafualt settings sepends on the configuration of Account Assignment Category in OME9.
If you want it based on the Comapany Code then, you need to go for ABAP Development.
You can use BAdi - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
Methods - PROCESS_HEADER (Processing of Header Data) and PROCESS_ITEM (Processing of Item Data)

Quality inspection option in delivery tab in purchase order.

Dear QM gurus ,
We have a requirement in which the user is making an Stock transfer PO and he wants the default selection of quality inspection in delivery tab of PO .
Kindly note that we have already activated the inspection types(including 01 with post to inspection tick ) for the material but still he is not getting it default .
Further to the PO the material GR should the put the stock in inspection and create a lot .
Kindly suggest the master/config setting for this to happen .

I am not very sure about how to make it default but certainly it can be made mandetory.
If they are using a specific T code like ME27 for STO order then Stock type field can be made madetory.
In SPRO-->MM >PO>screen design>GR/IR Control>me27
If you achieve this then PO creator can put the Stock type as QI
or
second option is explore the SHD0 tcde
this will solve your problem.
