On Demand - New Extension

Hi,
Is there any documentation available detailing out the procedure that should be followed to deploy an extension on E Business On Demand.
If there is any special consideration made or would be similar to what is followed in on premise environment. I need to know as we are evaluating on-premise vs on demand options for hosting e business suite

Nat Geo (& Nat Geo Wild) have a section in the Catchup players for their available programmes if you have the Entertainment package. There is a very small amount of content for both channels.
Don't know if BT offer any Nat Geo archive programmes on demand anymore - doesn't look like it as they are not listed channels within the TV box set category.

Web pages are not automatically published. First they are saved as drafts with a .new extension.

I am curently using adobe CS3. I am facing this strange
problem where my web pages are being saved with a .new extension
when I am tryign to publish. Everytime I need to go and change the
extension from .cfm.new to .cfm inorder to see the changes made to
the web page. I have even enabled the option so that contribute
does not send the page for reviewing before publsihing. Even after
enabling it I am facine the same problem. And this problem is being
faced by everyone who has publishing rights including the admin.
Can anyone please suggest a way to get rid of the .new extension
after publishing.

We, too, are having this problem. I see two posts in 2008-07 reporting this, but no answers and nothing via Google.
Details:
1. The web server is a Red Hat Linux / Apache.
2. It seems site-wide: several department webmasters have reported the problem. It may be limited to webs that are using Contribute and check-in/check-out.
3. The only thing I can think might be causing it is that our NTP daemon is broken, and the time of day drifted ~6 minutes (I have since reset the clock by hand).

LabVIEW 8.0 attachments (new extensions)

LabVIEW 8.0 added quite a few new extension and maybe some of them should now be allowed as attachments.
Examples are LabVIEW project (*.lvproj), X control (*.xctl), LabVIEW library (*.lvlib), etc.
LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

Can you tell us what versions of CUCM and CUxAC you are using? Just extensions alone in CUCM will not sync to the corporate directory within the attendant console application. You will at least have to have user's associated with those extensions and depending on your rule set within the console that should then bring those extensions into the console directory.

Burned DVD has new extension .localized

I'm burning a DVD from an .dmg file using Disk Utility.
Get Info the new DVD and it has a new extension, for example: Lego Star Wars.localized
Kids wrecked the original disk, thought I was being bright by imaging it as soon as we got it, the game won't recognize the new DVD.
No search results anywhere on this 'feature.'
Where is this .localized coming from and how to disable it?

What was happening during this segment? Fast action? Low light footage? Sped up footage?
I do lots of long form videos, up to 2 hours in length and I do fine that anything over 90 minutes or so can exhibit some issues when burned out to the the DVD ... you are maxing out the quality of what iDVD can do for you.
Maybe going back into FC and tweaking this areas could help; ie correcting lighting issues, or smoothing frames. If not, and the prob is just something you can't live with, split the project into two separate movies and create each in iDVD as Best Performance

Cant upload new extension to the Exchange

I am trying to upload some new extensions to the the Exchange
and I am receiving the following error:
The following error(s) must be corrected before this form can
be completed:
There was a problem parsing your MXP file (The cause of this
exception was that: java.io.IOException: Not enough space.). Please
choose a new file.
My extensions are fine.
I have tried using Firefox and IE and both report the same
error. I have emailed [email protected] but have had
no responses.

The QA process for new extension submission.

Just have a few general questions about the process for new extension submission. I submitted a new extension to the exchange on June 21, but have yet to see the status of my item change. What's the typical turnaround time for the QA team on new extensions? As well, should there be any issue with a new submission, what kind of feedback is typically given? Thanks to those who've gone through the submission experience, and can answer my questions.

To follow up on this question. On August 23rd my extension was approved. Not sure if this is the typical amount of time to expect for a submission to be approved as this is the only extension I've submitted so far. I never recieved any requests to change my extension, so the length of time wasn't due to changes that needed to be made on my part. Based on the large number of extensions approved on the same date as mine, my guess is that Adobe waits till they have a fair amount of submissions to QA, and then puts them through the QA process in batches.

Inserting a new extension field in the line item details page

Is it possible to insert an extension field/collection in the line item details page of the master agreement? I have tried supplying several Field ID found on that page on the DISPLAY AFTER field of the extension, but nothing works - the new field still gets displayed at the header page.

Hi,
Line Item is an independent class. You cant add an extension to Line Item through Master Agreement. This is the reason why the extension you add appears on the header tab of Master Agreement.
When I go to create an extension definition, I don't find Line Item in the drop down of Extended Class Name. So, my guess would be that we cannot create an extension definition for Line Items.
Let us know if you, or anybody, has a way to achieve it.

my old extension name is ext .
now i want to trigger an idoc with ext1 extension ,i do not want to change idoc settings in we20.
how can i do this ,please some one reply .

reason is we want two different transport paths ,one team is amking changes to existing things ,i am working on another pahse of project .
I have almost reached near to the solution .i have set the message variant in we20 ,now when i trigger its generating 2 idocs
i am trying to write code in exit but in exit there there is no field idoc_mescod or idoc_cimtype

Limit availability of nodes/actions in new extension to own schema

Hi,
I have made a new XML extension that adds a node to the SQL Developer navigator. I have also added menu actions on the new nodes.
What I want to do is to NOT have the menu actions available on the new node when it is reached via expanding the other users node.
The idea is to only have the menu actions available when the node displayed belongs to the currently connected user.
If it is not possible to limit the menu actions is there a way to then NOT show my own node type as a sub type in the other users node?

I have still not found a way to do this. I know it can be done - the "Other Users" node is not available if you expand a user.

DM6.0 Extension Manager v1.2.107 not d/l newer extension

I have not been on line due to back surgery and recovery
(ouch, yes it still hurts) I have tried to down load some newer
navigation aids and a newer style menu, but extension does not llow
it?
What to do?
Does anyone know older navigation aids and a nice style menu,

This is as designed. Extension Manager doesn't support After Effects. If the extension you want to install is a .ZXP file, you can install it anyway. I guess it will be shown in "Others" after installation.

On trying to download+install some (not all) new extensions I get a #403 Forbidden on the Mozilla server - is this prob mine or Moz's?

"Integrated Gmail" launched its new site yesterday which is probably where the problem was. Try it again now: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/integrated-gmail/
There's a note on the Email This add-on site which states that the developer is no longer supporting the extension. The site does load though: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/email-this/

New extensions on an existing Forms10g application

Hello Form Guru's,
My customer is considering upgrading a Forms6i (generated with Designer and Headstart) application to a new 10g environment. We consider to follow the Oracle strategy (Tools Statement of Direction) to upgrade to the latest version of the developer suite and to enhance the application by using Forms10g or even JDeveloper.
I don't understand the interoperability between Forms10g an JDeveloper. Can someone explain this in more detail please?

JDeveloper is a development tool, an IDE with which you would develop services and applications that Forms could interact with. Examples are web services, servlets, single sign on and java classes.

New Extensions

Has anyone seen any theme extensions for Safari. Firefox has "Personas" and Chrome has "Theme Extensions". If you do, please let me know. I have looked through the extensions gallery here at Apple and through some other online galleries and have not found anything yet. Thanks in advance for any help.

I assume you are talking about Google Chrome?
No. I meant the search engine, not the browser to "search" for the extensions.
I think you are going to have a hard time finding anything that modifies the Safari GUI. The next time Apple updates Safari, unless the developer updates the software, it could cause performance issues for the browser.
Just sayin'...
