Once again, the dredded exclamation point has popped up next to several of my songs. I have not deleted anything, have not moved anything; all I did was try to sync my phone, which I have not done in a few months. Please help
I have found that the exclamation point is back next to several of my songs. I have not moved any files, or deleted any files. I need help so that I can figure this out and have my music back on my iPhone. I can play it on my Mac just fine, and it says it is all on my phone, but I see this ! Next to most of the songs and I have about 8 GB less than before. Someone please help me solve this issue, something that I thought Apple would have been rid of by now. Again, please help me.
Okay, I followed the step from another support community:
1. Open Finder
2. From the side bar, click the home folder
3. Go to MUSIC>iTUNES>iTUNES MEDIA
4. Open the corresponding folder for the folder type you're looking for. The contents of the folder will be listed in alphabetical order. Depending on the folder, the files will be sorted by author, artist, or title.
Now, I found the files, and I can play my music through this and even in my iTunes library, where the info on each song is still available. Why can't this information transfer to my iPhone?

If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

My ipod touch 5th generation was purchased brand new yesterday. After charging it and loading my music i went to plug it into my icoustic dock which I got as a bundle with the ipod only to have my ipod screen go blank and now it refuses to turn on, reset or get recognised by my computer or itunes. I have the latests software as it was only uploaded last night. Should I be taking it back to the shop? Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

every time I try to sync my phone and restore my content after I updated my iPhone, iTunes goes through the prompts and then says "cancelling sync" at step 5. I cannot restore my apps or music!
when i try to sync my music which i have on my PC's itunes it will just not transfere on the phone. everything will sync [apps, videos, contacts] but the music will just not transfere.
and when i try to download the music from the phone's itunes store it will say "Error. Tap again to retry".
Thera are no more details i have! i have no idea why the songs will not sync and will not download! -
Why does itunes give an error saying " The Iphone cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (-50)". Everytime I try to sync my phone? I have another Iphone that syncs with the same itunes account and it's working fine.

i have a friend who was going to sync her phone with my computer to get the new update.. how do i add her phone with out her losing everything on her phone and not getting all my info on her phone..
First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go. -
I'm about ready to migrate everything to google and gmail. Once again, the iCloud iMap server is rejecting my password and refusing to get my mail. This has happened dozens of times since iCloud went live. My password has NEVER been changed. The same password works flawlessly in iTunes store and Apple store. Somebody please give me a reason NOT to cut bait on iCloud.
iCloud Mail is down. Has been for a while. I would hope this will be resolved soon.
I agree with you. iCloud does not seem to have anywhere near a 99.9% uptime. :-) -
I have purchased a new computer and authorized my iTunes with my Apple ID; however, my iPod Classic, which I have had for many years, will not sync hundreds of songs that I have purchased and says the device needs to be authorized.
I have searched high and low and there does not seem to be a way to authorize the iPod Classic. What can I do to sync my purchases to my iPod? I have tried reformatting/restoring it as suggested. It continues to only allow me to sync non-icloud/itunes content.

My iphone / mac no longer recognize they are the same Itunes library. When I try to sync my phone now, it wants to erase everything and replace it with the computers itunes library. I have purchased items on the phone I don't want to erase them from the phone. The phone backs up fine, but won't sync.

capability to choose a location other than photos??No. Safari does not have the option to attach files for uploading other than photos.
Look at iCab Mobile in the App Store. There are other browsers that may do this, but I'm pretty sure that iCab will fill the need.
