Once I insert an educational video into my Macbook, what are the steps I need to take to transfer the cd to my iphone?
Hello everyone,
Tried to locate information on getting an educational cd, which I purchased for school, into laptop then loading the information into my iphone? I have a Mac OS X 10.6.7, 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, and the iphone I have is 3GS 8GB. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Tq1
You need to rip the video (with something like Handbrake), import it into iTunes and sync it.

I have a DVD containing numerous 8mm movies and I would like to insert titles before each movie and then create a new DVD. When I insert the DVD, it's icon appears on my desktop and I can play the movies on my monitor by double cliking the icon. When I bring up iDVD it indicates I should simply drag movies or pictures into iDVD, review them and then burn a new DVD. When I attempt to drag the DVD icon into iDVD nothing happens. I must be missing some steps. How can I make this happen?
Try posating in the iDVD forum

Help inserting a flash video into my web page
Hello!
I'd love some help inserting a flash video into my web page. My web page is hosted by Viviti, templated, and edited online. I can add html to it, and I have the html source for my flash video. I also have uploaded the flash file to the server. Since I am very html illiterate, though, I need some help rewriting the html script so it can be published. There are two problems- firstly, no 'headers' or 'body' allowed in the script- these are already a part of the template. Secondly, I don't know how to rewrite it to refer to the uploaded files. It's also imperative that the full screen mode functions. I've pasted the source code for the flash video here. Please help!!!
Thanks!

</html>What you basically need to do is copy the sections of content from the code you show into the template (assuming the template already provides the <head> and <body> sections of the page. So in the head section of what you show, take everything starting with...
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
all the way down thru...

, inclusive (in the head section only), and paste that into the head section of your template.
Similarly, take everything that lies between the <body> ... </body> tags (exclusive of the body tags) and paste it into the body section of your template wherever you plan to display the Flash file. -
I inserted a burnt disc into my macbook pro and iTunes froze, had to shut down my mac in order to eject the disc. Is it not possible to transfer music from homemade cds onto my mac?
Yes, it is possible.
You had an issue in this individual instance. -
I can see from the Forum that you can watch video from a Macbook on a tv but is it possible to get video INTO a Macbook. I have a small security camera the connects to the TV with a RCA connector but I would like to have it on my Mac.

What are the steps to insert a check or X into a PDF box?
Provided the PDF form was properly created (checkboxes inserted as opposed to text boxes for the viewer to check when the page is printed) you just click as Test Screen Name replied. If not, you'll have to print the filled form and check the boxes yourself - by hand.

I inserted an SD card into my macbook pro and it didnt prompt me that a device was inserted so I took it out. Now the camera isnt showing anything on it. How do I fix this?
AFAIK cameras offer their own built-in format utility for inserted SD cards. You should use that. Otherwise, refer to the manual that came with your camera to determine precisely how your SD cards need to be formatted to work properly. Personally, I'd suggest Partition Scheme: MBR, and Filesystem: FAT32.
Try to limit the number of formats you perform on the SD cards, though, as you're reducing their lifespan. I believe formatting causes re-writes to a portion of the SD card that has fewer read/write cycles than the rest of the card as a whole. -
Can I insert a memory card into my Macbook Pro? I tried, and it does not go in on its own, I don't want to force it and get it stuck!! Help!
Maybe the wrong port or the wrong kind of memory card? You didn't say what version/year of Macbook Pro you have. Below is a photo of the newest one.
Red oval = USB port. It is to the left of the headphone jack.
Blue oval = SDXC card port. Is your card an SDXC card?
What are your options for transferring data to the picture frame? The manual should say. -
When I upload/import a .AVI video into MPEG Streamclip, I lose the audio.
Whenever I upload a .AVI video into MPEG Streamclip, I lose the audio. The video plays fine in Quicktime but when I upload into MPEG Streamclip, the audio is replaced with some "clicking" sounds. Can someone please help me resolve this and fix it so that my audio gets imported as well? By the way, this is a problem that is only with .AVI files. When I try importing MP4 videos, they work fine and the audio gets imported as well. I need to resolve this so that I can convert my videos from .AVI to DV format with the sound. Thanks!
Basically you can only add a video file to Itunes if it is either MP4 or the other supported format h2.. <---- i forget what its called i had this problem when i first plugged my i-pod in and got extremely aggitated until i realised and sorted it
that said i dont therefore understand the convert for i-pod button when the only video files able to be added are already in ipod compatible format? doesnt make sense to me but then maybe im missing something i mean i am a nOOb! -
I inserted a mini cd into my macbook pro cd slot and now i can't get it out. any suggestions?
If you can wrap some adhesive tape around a stiff business card and insert it inside and see if you can capture it. If possible, hold the MBP in a position where gravity is your ally.
You can open the MBP up, remove the optical drive and open it up or make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and have them extract it.
Ciao. -

Importing Video from iMovie HD - What's the Trick?
Hello brilliant Mac Fans,
I've been working steadily to create a cool demo reel for a client using iMovie HD (6) and Keynote '08. Well, the file in iMovie is Widescreen DV, and looks great. When I export it at full quality (as a dv file,) I play it in Quicktime and everything looks dandy, but when I drag that same file into Keynote, it has the wrong aspect ratio and has skips here and there...
I guess my question is, for Widescreen video, what are the ideal settings? Does anyone know the best frame rate, kind of file, etc. that plays well with Keynote?
Thanks to all for reading...Hello Carol,
you can create slideshows in iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD. In iPhoto you can create your slideshow in a few simple steps with music and transitions, then export it to iDVD for DVD authoring. One drawback (for me) is that you choose the duration for each picture and a transition, and these will be applied to all the pics in the slideshow, so not much room for customisation. On the other hand, if you want something quick and simple, this might be the right approach.
In iMovie you can import the pictures from your iPhoto library and create a slideshow. Here you have the possibility to completely customize all the settings (length of each pic, different transitions and music) and you can add titles and effects if you like. The process in iMovie will be longer as you'll have to import the pics one by one and change settings everytime you want a different outcome, but it will be a more personalised creation.
In iDVD you can create slideshows more or less like in iPhoto with more or less the same options. You can import your pics from the iPhoto library or from a folder and set duration and transition type and add music.
There have been several posts on this forum regarding problems with pic quality when played from DVD on TV - one problem is that pictures and video are not the same (pixels vs. lines, interlacing etc.). I personally have had the best results by importing photos into iMovie and applying a Ken Burns effect to each, but have to say that I don't work much with pictures (mostly video), so you'll probably get other sound advice from other users.
hope this helps

Intel P4 3.0ghz Windows XPHi Lionel,
As a general rule of thumb, the ATI Rage 128 Pro will not support a 20" LCD. That being said, there are reports of it doing just that (possibly the edition that went into the cube).
I'm not that familiar with the ins and outs of the Cube, so I can't give you authoritative information on it.
