Onclick movnam.zoom, javascript calls to flash player fail

I implemented the fix from Adobe/Macromedia for embedded
Flash content on IE but found that the player controls in
javascript no longer function.
How do I restore that functionality?

How can I view stuff that calls for flash player on my ipad2?

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • Help. Flash player fails to update??

I am running Windows 7 64 bit computer. Update for Flash player failed at 65% with comment :- error failed to register-: how do I overcome this problem please

    Dear Dominic
Brilliant reply. Simple English. Simple to follow instructions. And it worked immediately, first time.
Why couldn't the Apple and Adobe corporations get their programming right first time? We spend billions of UK pounds and US dollars with them. They reply with incompetent programming such as this, and arrogance to their customers in issuing faulty systems without doing the most rudimentary checks.
Anyway, I certainly shan't be buying another Apple as this is the most unreliable, most incomprehensible, most illogical and downright thoughtless shoddy piece of computer kit which I have ever owned. And all of it is rubbish ~ emails disappear, photos can't be organised properly, spreadsheets don't work, Pages is laborious… the list goes on and on...
But thanks to you Dominic, I have been able to load Adoble Flashj… maybe eyou should get  a job at Apple, and set them all on the right course to how to work simply and correctly with customers.
    Thanks again,
    David

  • How to zoom in with Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.77

I like to play a game on Neopets called Destruct-O-Match.  Until two days ago, I could zoom in on the game (make it bigger) by right clicking with my mouse.  Now that option no longer exists, so the game is too small to see comfortably.  How do I zoom in and make the game big enough to enjoy using Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.77?

Thanks Mike, but I already did that.  Until two days ago, I would maximize
the screen using Control +, but the game would still be small, so then I
would zoom in with a right click of the mouse.  However, apparently there is
a new version of Flash Player, 12.0.0.77, and there¹s no option of zooming
    in by right clicking.
I figured out how to make the game bigger by reducing the resolution of my
computer, but I can¹t play long because it makes me dizzy.

  • Javascript calls from flash send GET request

I'm having this problem with calling a javascript function
after opening a new URL from flash. Basically what I have going on
in my flash is a button, that when clicked, opens a new URL in
"_blank" sending values to it using a POST request (I have done
this both by using getURL and by using a LoadVars object). This
part works fine, however immediately after it, I have a call to the
javascript function "window.close()" (which I have done both using
getURL and ExternalInterface). This works great in Firefox, but in
IE the POST request seems to be getting interrupted by the
    javascript call.
I did a check on the values getting passed using Charles, and
it clearly shows that in IE there is a POST request getting sent to
the page I'm loading in the new window, immediately followed by a
GET request. This get request overrides the POST and for some
reason only appears when making a javascript called. If I change
that javascript call to opening a new URL in _self, for example, it
    doesn't show up.
Does anyone have any idea what this is all about? Is there a
solution to this? Why is this happening?!

    Thanks for the speedy reply!
I'll just have to double check to make sure that any of the AJAX calls are security checked.

The Camtasia Studio video content presented here requires JavaScript to be enabled and the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. If you are using a browser with JavaScript disabled please enable it now. Otherwise, please update your version of the free Adobe Flash Player by downloading here. • JavaScript and Adobe Flash player massage in webpage

    Hi all,
I have difficulties surfing some of the pages. It either show Adobe Flash Player not available or javascript not present. I had on both plug-in and javascript but it still show the above massages. Especially i surf pages which require to login. Does anyone encounter this problems and have sole it.Thx

YouTube content with the YouTube application is not provided via flash. There is no flash player or plugin that is compatible with the iPhone, which is an Adobe product and Adobe's responsibility to produce to produce a version that meets Apple's approval. 3rd party apps has something to do with this, which Apple doesn't make any profit on. All content sold via iTunes including 3rd party apps is set up as a break even for Apple per their reported financial info. Apple makes their profit on the sale of iPods and iPhones.

  • Javascript call from Flash in modal dialog window

    Hi.
As I see it's impossible to call Javascript function from
flash in modal dialog (opened with showModalDialog), neither with
    getURL nor with ExternalInterface.call.
The only solution I found (in my case it's enough, I only
need to refresh some DIV content in the page from flash) is to
catch error in the modal dialog (Javascript window.onerror) and
    then do some operations.
I'm intereseted: is this for security reason on Win XP SP2? I
didn't found any solution, but is there any?

    Hi Gary,
Actually I'm not very sure that whether it is the VS issue if it still has this issue in a new Environment.
To make sure that it is not the VS setup file issue, one idea is that you could re-download your VS2013 Pre version here:
    http://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/download-visual-studio-vs
And then re-install it again. Test the result. Hope that it is not the VS setup file issue.
If still no help, really sorry for that I couldn't repro this issue in my side. But
you can submit this feedback to Microsoft Connect feedback portal:
    http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/CreateFeedback.aspx,Microsoft
engineers will evaluate them seriously. You could share this project in your report, the product team members would troubleshoot and repro this issue.
You will get email notification for update in your connect report.
If you submit it, please share us the link here, so we could get the latest information from the product team members.

  • JS ExternalInterface calls crashes Flash player

    Hi,
We build a flash application in ActionScrip 3 which provides JS external interface calls. We load another swf on our swf. If we don't enable external swf, any JS calls through external interface works fine. However, if external swf is active, at some points when there is any JS calls through external interface, Flash player plugin crashes which also bring down the whole browser, I see that on IE and FF.
Do you have any idea what may cause external interface call to crash Flash plugin?

  • Why when trying to play YouTube videos does it tell me I need JavaScript and adobe flash player but phone doesn't support

Get error message when trying to play YouTube video's say phone don't support adobe flash player but sometimes it plays them

This is because the html5 player will load the video by default. I have noticed lately that some channels required flash player. Do you have an example video by chance for further investigation?

time now. But every time i've tried it gives me a message : Flash
player 9 failed to install, for troubleshooting tips, go to
    adobe.com/ something someting yadayada
I've done ALL the troubleshooting tips, and i'd really really
really like to be able to watch videos again
    Please help me!!
    Sincerely

I found a solution that may help with the Flash Player
installation. I have Windows XP Home and Internet Explorer 7. I did
EVERYTHING tech support and other users suggested, but had no luck
on Internet Explorer. I followed the suggestion to download
Firefox, and then I was able to download and use Flash Player, but
it would only work with Firefox. It would not work with Explorer.
Coincidentally, in trying to open another unrelated
application, I was told that Windows could not open it and I chose
the option to use the Internet to search for a way to open it. It
prompted to download additional software, and one of the options
was a free version of a registry compression tool called "Stuffit".
After downloading and installing Stuffit, I once again followed
Adobe tech support's original instructions for Flash Player.
    1. Make sure you are in Administrator Mode.
    2. Make sure your Active X settings are correct.
    3. Make sure your popup blocker is turned off.
    4. Use the Flash Player uninstaller, making sure all
applications are closed, and all users are logged off.
    5. Then download Flash Player 9 using a standalone installer
    from the following:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14266
(Archived Adobe Flash Players available for testing purposes).
    6. After downloading the installer, make sure all other
applications and windows are closed, then open the
    “9r115”
    folder and run the “flashplayer9r115_winax.exe”
    file.
    7. Afterwards, verify if the Flash Player installed
successfully by going to the version test page:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_15507
This finally worked for me after NOTHING else did. I hope it
    helps you.

  • Flash player fails to register

I've been trying to get the update for flash player and it keeps saying
    Failed to register.
I've uninstalled it at add and remove programs and tried to re-install it but it says the same thing. After closing the little download box another one pops up soon after to download something else (Not sure what it's called) What am i supposed to do? Also i don't know too much about computers.

It seems that you have a problem with registry permissions.
One way of getting around that is to try the installation from and Administrator account.
The other way is to change the registry permissions, as outlined in this topic http://forums.adobe.com/thread/485281/ - but that is a rather complex process.

  • Installing Flash player fails AGAIN on Win 7

Recently I had discussed here a problem with installing Flash Player on 32-Bit Windows 7, which was solved by help in this forum.
Now I had a similar problem with 64-Bit Windows 7 with Flash Player for Mozilla. Installation just said that it failed, without giving further explanation.
Following the advice I got in http://forums.adobe.com/message/3919367#3919367, I downloaded an installer explicitly from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/.
This website redirected me to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, from where I downloaded http://aihdownload.adobe.com/bin/install_flashplayer11x64_mssd_aih.exe.
Running this program went on for about 20 minutes, and finally resulted in the error message: "Installation encountered errors: Actionlist not found".
What else can I do to install flash player?
    Ronald

  • Flash Player fails to load on start-up

I recently upgraded to Flash Player 11.2.202.235 for my Win 7 64 bit system and have had nothing but problems since.  I can install Flash Player and it works fine, until I shut down or restart my system.  Once the system restarts, it is as if Flash Player is not loading.  I am using IE 9 and AOL 9.6 as web browsers and am getting the same result in both.  I down loaded google chrome with the flash player to see if that would make a difference, no luck. When I look for flash player, it is in my registered programs and I have a folder for it as well.  I have done the following things: tried downloading with anti-virus on and off, firewall on and off, pop-up-blocker on and off, downloaded through IE9 and through AOL, unistalled and reinstalled, Active X Filtering On and Off.  Nothing seems to work, if I restart the computer, Flash Player is not recognized by any program...even Abobe.  I have tried the troubleshooting forums, no luck there either.  Anyone have any ideas or encountered a similar problem?

Try a clean install as described in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315

  • SOLVED :Flash Player fails installing on Windows XP SP3 ,error 1007

    Hi,
I would like to report a failing installation for FlashPlayer.
The good news is that using the offline installer ( also v 17.0.0.134 ) i have now the Flash Player installed and running :-)
However i will tell my experience for later readers - and hopefully the developper can fix it for future releases:
I download the file install_flashplayer17x32_mssd_aaa_aih ;executing
the file starts the installation process, but after about the 66%, installation fails, and then
a browser window with the following url is shown:
    https://get.adobe.com/es/flashplayer/completion/aih/?exitcode=1007&re=0&type=install
The installation has been performed using an admin acount.
Also i've tried executing the reset_fp15.bat file without success.
Machine is a DELL LATITUDE D505
    Problem is reproducible.
The installation log and versions used follows a few lines later.
Thanks in advance for your help!
