Ongoing Resseting Problems. TIP

Ive Got a 6280 on three. i only have one problem and thats when i change themes one background stays the same.
but i do not receive any of the problems your talking about.
Firmware: v.3.36
I also notice this is a lower version to everyone elses is this why my phone doesnt have these problems?
Also if anyone does know of ANY Firmware updates for the 6280 can you please help and link me to them.
Regards.

The firmware of your phone can be updated at a Nokia Service Centre. Do not use Nokia software updater to do it since it will try to flash your phone with 6288 firmware and break it.

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
    Ideas anyone ?

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work.  Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

  • The ongoing volume problems

This is what worked for me re same inadequate volume on Treo when IT first came out. It's what I think many of us wish for, barring just plain fixing the problem in an update, re the iPhone right now:
    http://www.gotreosoftware.com/products/VolumeCarePro/
We need this for the IPHONE (unless and until Apple addresses in an update).
Before you post here about your suggestions to remedy the already widely discussed ongoing problems many are experiencing with inadequate speakerphone and handset/receiver volume level on the iPhone, check out the posts on the board about it. Those of us with this problem have already tried the making sure no plastic covers speaker, etc., making sure rocker button is set correctly, resetting, and simply always having volume on MAX (which is not the way it should work for normal use) and the myriad of things already mentioned on the board for days to deal with the problem.
If there is an enterprising engineer out there who might be willing to make something like the above described product (see link above, that is) for the iPhone, I, for one, would love to be on your beta test list.
    PBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   2 gig RAM

Answer: this is a design problem that continues to go unaddressed. Acceptance that the iPhone has the same crappy design re volume as other cheaper "smartphones" is the "answer". Too bad... 'be nice if Apple would actually listen to these complaints by the many users who apparently - from looking at this board - share my problem with volume on the iPhone.

  • I am having ongoing connection problems with the Clash of Clans app which means that I lose battles, resources or boost times. This results in a loss of gems which I have purchased but will not be refunded as they will not accept responsibility.

Whilst playing Clash of Clans I will continually lose the internet connection. This means that I lose battles, resources, gold etc and lose boost times. I have informed Supercell who blame my internet connection even though the iPhone, laptop and TV all work fine so it is obviously a technical problem with their game and probably something to do with their last updates.
As I have purchased gems I feel that I should be compensated for my loss but they will not accept responsibility nor investigate the technical issue. The loss of connection occurs constantly with the game often freezing during replays or searching for battles. This is obviously not a connection issue.
What suggestions do you have to resolve this situation?

    Hi.
Thanks for the reply. I asked because I also wanted to see if others had encountered the same problem.
I have no problems with my internet connection as I run my TV, laptop and iPhone off the same connection with no problems. I believe that since the recent updates to the game this has caused the problem. The game often freezes, cancels out or returns me to the main game screen during battles or replays.
What I want to know is how do I get the game designers or owners to acknowledge my problem as at this time they keep telling me it is my internet that is a problem and not their game. How do they know this when they refuse to investigate. What can I do and who do I go to for support if they won't accept responsibility?
I am very grateful to you for replying but concerned that if this can happen to me then how many other gamers are losing out and paying for something that they are not going to receive.
    Many thanks.

  • Slate 21 Pro ongoing sleep problems that can't be resolved

I just bought a slate 21 pro after hearing about sleep related issues, but was encouraged by various reports of solutions in the form of a replacement unit with upgraded scalar firmware, not using keyboard/mouse, not connecting an hdmi in device and/or using a bluetooth keyboard.
I'm sad to say that none of those things reliably resolves the problem of the unit going to sleep and requiring a power cord pull to get it back.
My unit was replaced by HP with a scalar 3.7 unit, I've tried it with and without a keyboard, with and without a bluetooth keyboard, with and without an external pc plugged into the hdmi, with and without the 4.3 security update etc.  Both the original and the replacement still have sleep issues.
HP stopped responding to my case updates after the original replacement, but they were right on top of me when I was one day late returning the original product...with the hilarious suggestion that they'd charge me nearly $600 if I didn't promptly return it.
I'm going to try calling in when I have a chance tomorrow, hoping to get a real person that might actually look into this.  I'm also hoping it doesn't turn into a constant return carousel where they keep sending me the same device with the same defect.  I've had this problem on rare occasion with other android devices and it generally gets resolved with a firmware fix.
In the meanwhile, for any other prospective purchasers...you'll either have to leave the unit in 'daydream' mode where its on (and the screen) all the time to the tune of 26 watts and likely shortened screen life.  None of the supposed 'fixes' seem to fix it for me.  Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.
I'll update if anything gets better.  If there are any HP folks who want to chime in here that'd be great.  Seems they've stopped responding on the other threads

    My friend,
Try the new version 4.4.2 which is just started to upgrade in my country, Turkiye.

  • Ongoing Broadband Problems

    Hi All,
We had a new line and ADSL service installed about 6 months ago and since install have had continued problems with losing our internet connection.
I've raised this numerous times with BT(last ref: 131205-0*****) and have had all sorts of responses, from them saying there is a problem with the line, to saying that we need to reboot the router, finishing in them sending a new HH4 after I complained again.
We have a number of devices hanging off of the current homehub and the symptoms are that from all devices, they lose connectivity to the internet and cannot browse web pages etc.
As mentioned have tried more than one hub (1xHH3 and 2xHH4). We changed the filters, power supply etc. each time.
The ADSL link generally (if not always) stays up and we can communicate with the hub, but nothing past that point upstream.
Being HH4 I cannot post line stats, but here's the info the the log:
    11:11:59, 07 Apr. ( 65.100000) ETHoA is upETHoA is up - VPI: 0, VCI:35

Margins seem good. I only included the PPP LCP stuff because it seems to have preceeded the latest occurence this morning. I don't know if it always does or not or if it's relevant?
I've done the quiet line test and there was a slight hiss but no crackling etc. That's from a wired handset. It didn't seem any different than the noise on our other line which has a plusnet connection that never drops!
Any ideas? At the moment it seems like it happens every day or two so it's getting really annoying.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike.

Have now been running for a few weeks directly from the test socket with nothing else plugged in anywhere, and still having exactly the same problem and having to reboot the router every 2-3 days. Sometimes the ADSL light is blue, sometimes red.

  • Fujitsu Lifebook NH751 Graphics Problem Tips

    Hello
I do not use archlinux I use kubuntu 11.10 however I think this issue applies to all distributions!!
I had severe problems to get the intel graphics card to work on this laptop, it started up using VESA graphics it also ignored the Nvidia card.
This is a laptop that uses optimus technology, thus it uses the intel card for low performance and only power up the nvidia card then needed.
The solution to get it to start with the intel card was to add:
    i915.modeset=1
    To the kernel boot parameters.
Also to get the nvidia card to work I installed bumblebee.
There it was important to remove all xorg.conf files in /etc/X11 and /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/
Also set the bumblebee config file to use nvidia and not nouveau.
Running a program with nvidia you run: optirun prog_name
Otherwise it uses the intel card, that also have opengl but not as good as the nvidia card.
Ok, hope this can save people from the week of googling and testing that I had to do.

i have already done that, but the generated script would not work
anyways, there is an update now, i have edited xorg.conf and set the driver for my nvidia card to be "vesa".
ofcourse the graphics card does not work properly (nvidia-settings cant do anything here unless i am running xorg via the nvidia driver).
now here is the part that is driving me crazy: i am running xorg perfectly (with KDE or GNOME) when i am root. but i cannot do it when i am in my own user although i have added my user to the video group :S
i would like a way to run my graphics card perfectly and in my user not as root

  • Ongoing Billing Problems - Filing complaint with FCC - Seeking Attorney

This is only the latest in a constant, year long, cluster**ck.
My internet service was fine for 10 months. The billing was wrong every single month, but the service worked. Then Comcast sent multiple letters demanding that I MUST upgrade to their new modem (which, also comes with a new monthly fee). After installing their new required modem, my internet became virtually useless. It didn't work at any time of day or night for 3 weeks, during which time I made more calls to Comcast customer service than I can count. After dozens of hours of phone calls, Comcast finally agreed to send a technician, free of charge, to identify and fix the issue. (It is also worth noting that they refused to pro-rate my bill for the 3 weeks of downtime.)
The technician arrived and before he even attempted to review my problem, told me I had to buy a new modem. When I refused, he left. He made absolutely no attempt to diagnose my problem or repair it. He simply said that another technician would "come by in a few days" and left an invoice showing that the visit was free of charge. No additional technician ever came. I ended up researching my issues and repairing my connection myself.
This morning, I sat down to pay my bill. Wouldn't you know it, there's a $70 charge on my bill for a FREE technician visit.
So far this morning I've spent four and half hours on the phone with Comcast. 3 hours of which have been spent on hold.
The first person I spoke to said he'd be glad to help me and then hung up. The second person said there is nothing they can do to change my bill despite my having a copy of an invoice saying the visit was free. They then transferred me to a third person. The third person verified my personal account information and then promptly hung up on me after I told them I was seeking a bill adjustment. I called back. The fourth person I spoke to asked me to verify my account details and then also hung up. 4 and a half hours on the phone attempting to fix a billing error and 3 people refused to assist.
I called back. This time to cancel my service outright. The fifth person I spoke to verified my account information, asked what they could do to help, and upon my saying I'd like to cancel my service - hung up on me.
4 Comcast employees hanging up on a customer they've fraudulently charged and a refusal to terminate my account.I fully intend to visit with my attorney to see what I can do next.

I apologize for any frustration regarding your billing issue. I show that you have been contacted by a representative and this has been resolved. Please reply back if you have any additional questions or concerns.

  • Ongoing fps1800 problems

I've had a set of soundworks fps800's for like 3-4 years. Since I've had them I've had the same problem. When they are turned on there is a thumping/static noise that comes out of them. It kinda sounds like a mic is hooked up and someone is tapping it. I haven't used these speakers for about 6 months so I kinda forgot about the problem. I figured I check to see if anyone has any ideas on this now. I've tried different sound cards and even computers. It still makes the noise even when the cables to the computer aren't plugged in, so its obviously something with the speakers.
I remember seeing something a long time ago about it possibly being related to the quality of power the speakers get from the outlet, but this has happened in 3 different buildings, 2 of which are less then 5 years old, so the wiring should be good.

  • Ongoing upload problems

When I publish to web using the F8 file publishing command,
it's hit and miss whether I can publish. Even though I'm connected
to the remote sight, I receive an error message saying "No response
from server. Reconnecting." Then it goes through a slow process of
    reconnecting.
I also sometimes get this error message "Operation Timed Out.
    Cancelling"
Sometimes, I can avoid these errors by publishing only one
html file at a time. Others not. Some days it takes me forever to
    publish to web!
Is this a remote file problem? My internet connection? My
host company? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Try using a different ftp software. That should give you an
    idea of where
the problem lies. Personally I don't use the dw ftp. Erratic
    behavior -
maybe due to my lack of understanding, most likely not.
    Complicates things
even more when you're using server-side scripting and a local
    testing server
    etc.
You cannot lose until you give up !!!

Message was edited by: Eric Schwarzkopf

After years of depending on Sync, I have yet to see Firefox ask me for "Pair a device", "recovery key" etc on any of my Win, Linux, MAC, Android devices. This is of course no solution, but maybe a hint at the sources of the problem: how big is your browsing history? My quota is all in all below 3 MB. Also, a half-way dependable net connection is the pre-condition.
You can sync history by hand: Export it on one system - e.g. onto the cloud or your private LAN- and then import it on the other system

  • Possible Solution to Ongoing Wifi problems

FINALLY! After four days of the same problem, we got it resolved by disconnecting my imac, two airport expresses and turning off iphone. Turned all off for 15 minutes. Started turning things back on in this order. Modem, airport express #1, imac, reset a new wireless network (it worked), #2 airport express attached to stereo for wireless music streaming (it worked), did a hard reset on phone and logged into the new home network. I could be wrong, but deleting old wifi connections and old home wireless network and starting anew from factory settings did the trick!

Your solution has worked for some people in the past, but unfortunately not everyone.

  • Ongoing Email Problems

    Hi all,
We are having servere problems with BC hosted email, both on our own partner website and client sites. We have had to move our own email away from BC by adjusting the MX record, we now use a service prodivied by Crazy Domains.
The client having major problems is: http://www.twinemarketing.com/
We put this site live in April and her email has NEVER been trouble free since. The service is inconsisent, sometimes she has emails bounced back to her, sometimes people trying to send her emails have them bounced. The common theme is spam. Here is an example of one of the returned emails:

Most of the returned emails seem to have been rejected by SpamCop. The client was previously using Google Web Apps and didn't have any problems. She assures me she has never sent spam. There are occassions where someone sends her an email and it isn't bounced back, but she doesn't recieve it, it just goes down a black hole.
I have tried to resolve this issue on 3 occassions, via the text chat. Each time the help desk person has not been able to replicate the problem, so they aren't able to identify the issue. My client lost out on a major contract last week, because she didn't recieve an email. This has to be resolved before she starts losing clients, and before we lose her as a client. And before YOU lose US as a client.

  • Ongoing phone problem - how do we get BT to take t...

How do we get BT to take a complaint seriously?
Phone appeared to stop working on Sunday 13 May - no dial tone. Contacted BT and was told it will be fixed prompty. Come Tuesday (15 May) phone was still not fixed. So contacted BT again. Well over a week later, and we still have no phone.
Since then, we have been phoning BT regularly, and getting a standard "an engineer is working on your problem, it will be fixed by close of play" answer. When I get home, still no phone service.
What is the next step I can take to get this fixed?
Last night, I was at work and my wife needed to contact me urgently. As I had the mobile phone, she had to get our two children out of bed and take them out in the car in search of a phone box at 11:30pm - she cannot leave a 3 year old alone in the house. Today my wife took our daughter for her dentist appointment only to find when she got there it had been cancelled, and they were unable to contact us. Whilst a few years ago, a phone was a luxury - in these days its a necessity.

If you would like to try Live Chat they should be able to help you find out what is going on.
If the fault is due to the BT Line, then they can arrange for a free divert of incoming calls to a mobile.
If you still cannot get it resolved then
If you would like to contact one of the UK based BT Care Team who moderate this forum, they should be able to help you.
They can be contacted using this link BT Care Team
They normally respond by phone or e-mail, within three working days, however you should get an immediate confirmation, with a tracking number.
There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

  • Ongoing offline problem

    Hi
I'm getting no sense out of Customer Services so hope another sufferer / BT staff can help.
I went with BT Vision about 12 months ago as we can't get cable in our area and I wanted a backup for Sky.   Total Broadband has been flawless but BT Vision has been awful.   The freeview side of things works fine - very good.   But the box goes offline literally every day and takes either a power cyrcle of the router and or the box itself (multiple times usually) to sort.
Several calls to customer services have identified this as a known flaw and asked me to be patient.   I'm a patient man - but 12 months - do me a favour.   This at a time when the red button services has also been "coming" for at least 6 months.
Last I heard from customer services, I should expect to reboot the router and BT Vision box every day.
    a) this is differnet to any other freeview or Sky box I've ever had
    b) I wasn't told this at the time
    c) inconvenient if (like me) you have it recording stuff off the radio in the early hours so it can't be done overnight without missing recordings.
Altogether pretty rubbish really - does anyone have any answers before I abandon for Talktalk and Youview?
    Cheers
    Rob

I had trouble with Vision routing trough another hub after my HH3, some pixelation and a couple of reboots, so I ran a cable directly from the HH3 to the Vision box - problem solved. I think this may be your problem.
Thanks for this.   The problem I have with this as an explanation is that the cable from the first hub to the second is carrying data in the other direction from my other router to my study - and no problems at all.   I've ensured the BTHub isn't conflicting with the rest of the network by setting different subnet masks and even tested without my other router connected - but nothing fixes it.   It's almost as though if the BT Hub isn't right next to the Vision box - there are problems.
Out of interest, I'm in contract with BT until late December, does anyone know whether moving to Infinity will fix this?
