Online Tutorials?

I'm familiar with motion but would like to get better.
Has anyone tried any of the online training courses or purchased DVD packages that are project based.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am looking at online tutorials about parallax scrolling websites but I have a fully updated version via Adobe Cloud. I'm on Windows 8.1 but my Muse doesn't have the 'fill/scroll' menu. Why? Is it only a Mac option?

I want to create and offer a scrolling website for a restaurant client but I am confused by online tutorials that show a drop down menu with either fill or scroll. I have checked for updates but I am fully up to date. Does anyone know why I cannot access this scrolling menu please?

Thank you for your kind advice which I greatly appreciate. However, I think I have solved most of my problems by signing up with Train Simple on a $9 per month technical learning course. Within a few minutes I was able to locate the fill - scroll menu by simply clicking on the actual text of fill - which for some reason I didn't know about!. I stayed with the Muse fundamental course all day today and covered everything to do in Muse in great detail. I am now looking forward to the single page website learning experience with scrolling!

Need online tutorials for balancing ragged text

Can anyone recommend online tutorials on how to work with ragged text in Indesign? I need a quick & dirty overview on how to achieve better balanced ragged text but many of the online sites I've encountered don't talk about how to "design" text....I'm getting a lot of steep slopes and weird gaps on my flushed left type despite experimenting with the composer features.
Please provide direct links to articles/videos not just website names.

Macbook Tuition and Online Tutorials Wanted

Is there anywhere I can find really good Macbook tuition/online tutorials?
Though it is well built, I find it an absolute nightmare to use in everything I do.
Just one example: Using iPhoto to crop a photo. I create an album called temp and copy the original in to this album so I don't damage the original. I crop the photo in the temp folder and then find it's cropped the original in another folder as well. Seems totally illogical to me
Things that take 2 mins to do in Windows, take 10 times longer on the Mac.
I have bootcamp installed to run other programs and I'm thinking about giving up and going back to Windows 7 unless I can get some decent help.

Can i legally use screen captures of final cut in online tutorials?

I want to know if I will be in any trouble for using video screen captures of final cut pro in my online tutorials.

I've done dozens of tutorials...and there are hundreds more that use FCP, as well as other professional apps...no problems. The software makers don't care if you do this. Teaching people how to use their software only helps them sell more copies.

Verizon Online Tutorials Question

Hi;
First time user on the forums and I have a question if anyone on the forum has an answer.
Are there any tutorials available on verizon online for pc's that run the windows vista operating system?
I ask this question because I currently have a desktop pc that runs windows xp/sp3 and a westell versalink gateway. I am going to be getting a new laptop pc in the near future to use in addition to my desktop.
The laptop pc will run windows vista home premium edition and will have capabilities to operate wirelessly via a built-in wireless card.
However, the online tutorial on home networking found on verizon online does not show how to set up a wireless pc using vista as it only shows steps for windows xp and earlier versions of windows.
Any help with my question will be very much appreciated.

I already have one. Kinda like a hybrid if you will.
A Westell Gateway modem/router that I received from Verizon when I started DSL service.
Question is, Is this Westell model 327w easy to set up with Windows Vista Home Premium edition?
Because the laptop that I plan to get has that os with an option to upgrade to the new version of Windows that will be released later this year called Windows 7.
Please let me know if you or anyone else on the forum has an answer to this.

Using RoboHelp to create online tutorials?

Our company currently uses RoboHelp to create our Help
Systems. As a training developer, who has used a course authoring
software package for the past five years, I was wondering if
RoboHelp would be a good environment to develop training tutorials.
I love the fact that you can search and index the help systems and
thought the potential may be there to search for information within
tutorials as well.
I know Captivate is the software simulation product, however
a lot of our training material is either mainly text, or numerous
screen shots showing an individual how to use an application.
As I am new to RoboHelp, does anyone have any advice?

(The following assumes the WebHelp Pro scenario you outlined)

you made and notice the "Show" link that allows the user to reveal
the navigation pane.

I believe you may be encountering something that is only seen
by you because you're viewing it locally. When published, the user

"Allow active content to run on My Computer." (Also, for more info,
do a search in the forums for "Mark of the Web")

Lightroom 3: How-to books? (not videos or online tutorials)

When learning a new software, I prefer to have a hard copy book on my desk that I can flick through, read and apply suggestions as I work with the software. In this way, many little extra tips and processes stick in my mind to help me learn it quickly and efficiently and correctly. This is how I learn best.
At the beginning of my Lightroom 3 journey, I thought the Help PDF was the user manual, the how-to of processes in using this most powerful program. Even 'though it does have step by step suggestions in some instances they are quite basic, and I am finding I need a proper, more in-depth how-to book to be able to get the most from the product. As Microsoft publications would call it, an Inside Out book (I use Windows 7).
On deciding to read through the Help PDF more thoroughly, I came across a further suggested help item called Lightroom 3 Classroom in a Book. I would like to be able to look through this book online to see if it is the type of book I am after. Is there a place in the Adobe website where I can do that?
The only book I am currently considering is the David du Chemin Vision and Voice. I have seen a few chapters from this book online and they show the type of information I am seeking.

Re: Online tutorials and frequent bugs discovered in the IDE

I would like to add that I've switched from Windows to Linux, and since then noticed far fewer problems in JSC2. No need to delete o move the userdir, o reinstallation of the software. Still uses a lot of memory but keeps working stable and faster.
The comment is not to suggest a switch in your OS platform, but to inform Creator engineers know about it. May be of interest.

Garageband for iPad online tutorials

When you try to acces the help file at the url listed below on the iPad you get a scroll bar on the right hand side. It is then not possible to move down the page with the iPad navigation as the scroll bar requires a mouse to function. The only way to acces the help files is to use a laptop and mouse......not cool.
Also tried to print the manual using the print icon in the upper right corner of the help page. The print function does not work.
